Dil Raj Indian Takeaway in Central Bedfordshire

With the lockdown in place I ordered a takeaway for my birthday treat and it was certainly a good call. We all couldn't decide on exactly what we wanted so we went for the set meal for 4 and it was a good call. We ordered a Chicken Korma as well. All the food was spot on. We were all stuffed on the night and we had four more meals out of for the next two days (you can't beat left over curry.......yum!). It's been a while since we ordered from the Dilraj, it won't be long before we order again.

Placed an order at 6pm through Just Eat. Expected delivery was 7pm. Dil Raj added 15mins to the delivery time (fair enough). 7:15 comes and goes. Rang restaurant at 7:30 6 times before someone answered and was told in an abrupt manner it’s just round the corner will be there soon. 8pm and still nothing so tried to ring restaurant again to cancel order as well go elsewhere. 10 times and no answer. Delivery finally shows up at 8:10 and offfered no apology or compensation so turned him away as had already ordered somewhere else. In summary: 2:10hrs for delivery. 55mins late. Couldn’t contact restaurant and when did rude and unapologetic. Will never order from there again. Went to lime tree instead which was quick and very tasty.

Again a fantastic takeaway from Dil Raj. Christmas Eve and the family was starving, along comes the Knight it shining armour (well tracksuit if I’m honest) and delivers a tasty hot delicious Indian feast. The dhansak was hot and sweet, just right.

Amazing meal, cannot fault it at all. Best curry, rice and sides I have had in years! Free popodoms thrown in for a meal for one and fresh as you like, paid for them from other Indians and they were stale a lot of the time.

Ok, a lot of suburban English Indian food is just nuked frozen stuff, and this is NO different....but DAMN, the cucumber sauce was just yogurt that may have been left out all day and 2 soggy slices of cucumber? That's just bootleg. If you're starving, don't eat here, just get a Tesco sandwich or some other form of local bland. This place is what depression and reheated crap is made of.

Had a lovely takeaway from here Saturday evening.It did take quite a while to get our order taken but it was a new person taking our order and it was only their second night so understandable really.There was a rice missing from our order but they soon delivered another . The food was all really tasty with lovely flavour.I would recommend this curry house and would definitely eat from here again.

Always order my Indian treat from these guys , local delivery and always plenty of it, always very tasty and quick delivery

Love there food , using this place for years my only complaint is they don't open abit earlier as I often get takeaway delivered to wing . But no complaints with food or staff , excellent place.

Rang late for a take away to be delivered and the man on the phone was lovely. He helped me with my choices and was very apologetic that delivery would take a while. He gave me a time and knocked at my door almost spot on! The food is second to none and the prices are good too. Thanks!

In my opinion this is the best takeaway in town,I know that is just my opinion but reading the reviews it looks like a lot of people feel the same.On a Saturday night when we want a takeaway this is the place we go. The food and service are both excellent so if you haven't I suggest you give it a try.

We ordered a takeaway through Justeat and chose this one due to opening times on a Sunday, was earlier than some others. Unfortunately we had to phone Dil Raj twice to ask where our takeaway was as the delivery time changed twice, in the end we did receive 50 minutes late but they did say they were very busy and had a huge amount of orders due to Fathers Day which is good for them but not for us, assume they cannot control orders through Justeat ? Think would be good if we had a realistic estimate of times as would have cancelled. The food was OK.

I ordered a takeaway and it got delivered in good time, was very fresh and full of flavour. I recommend the chicken Korma and onion bargi. The person I spoke to on the phone and got the food delivered by was friendly.

Very good takeaway, and at reasonable prices compared to some others in town. Home delivery is usually in good time. Will continue to use them regularly.

Ordered takeaway here via just eat and must say it was fantastic. Delivery in 20 minutes was lightning by Indian standards and the food was up to scratch.Ordered a lamb dupiaza, mushroom rice and saag aloo and all were great.Would definitely order again and to top it all off the delivery man gave my daughter a Lollipop

Dil Raj are fantastic - offering very tasty meals, large portions, and all at very reasonable prices! The staff pay attention to their customers and customise orders accordingly - for example, we don't take the yoghurt that comes with pakora, so instead they give us extra salad! I can't recommend them enough!

We visit Dil Raj a few times a month as it is THAT good. They customised a set menu for 2 for us, and everything is super tasty. The best curry we've ever had. The staff are really friendly and welcoming, no request is too much. We are given poppadoms when waiting and then still some more to take home! The chicken pasanda is lovely, really sweet and the sauce is generous. Chicken chat gorgeous. Onion bhajis are the best we've ever had. Visit the Dil Raj, you will not be disappointed. We won't go anywhere else now.
