Really disappointing and overpriced. Think she gave and charged us for large drinks which I didn’t order. Appreciate I may not have said small but you shouldn’t just default to large. Service slow, unfriendly staff. Wouldn’t go back

Walked around tynemouth and wanted a coffee and something to snack. Walked in and was greeted by the staff. Placed our order and sat down. The cheese and ham toasties were lovely along with cappuccino’s. The ice creams seemed popular with others who came in along with the bubble teas. Overall a lovely visit - would recommend.

Very tasty hot chocolate and didn't scrimp on the chocolatiness! My partner had a big cappuccino in one of their cute strawberry cups. Lovely change from the chains and will definitely be back!

Visited this place on Friday very disappointed Yes they had a small menu due to making changes but food was terrible Coffee was ok Sandwich and toasties were cheap filling thin ham hardly any cheese coronation chicken not the best Staff not very friendly did not feel welcome Will not be back Much better places to have coffee and food in Tynemouth

After visiting Tynemouth market on a blisteringly hot day we were in need of sustenance ( a cuppa and scone). Dibbles came highly recommended by the daughter of a friend. Our expectations were quite high . Our order was placed and paid for for two teas and two cheese scones. We waited as did all of the other people sitting outside. One couple even asked for their money back. After waiting 30 or so minutes we decided to ask for our money back too. My husband returned from inside with two scones and the tea quickly followed. All seemed well until I cut into my scone …hmmm this seems stale, on taking the first bite I discovered I was right. It was so dry it was inedible, my husband’s was the same. We told the waitress and asked for a refund on the scones. Within about 2 minutes she returned with two fresh scones. These were soft and easy to eat. We couldn’t detect a taste of cheese at all but at least they weren’t stale. We definitely will not be back!

What a lovely cafe! Amazing bubble tea and great for vegan ice cream. The staff were nice and very attentive too. I will 100% be returning for more!

We visited on Monday with our 2 young children for ice cream. The actual ice cream and what we ordered was lovely but the attitude of the owner to the 3 serving girls was appalling. She shouted at them, belittled them and was down right rude to them. She was shouting and barking orders. I asked one young girl if she was OK as she was so red and teary, she couldn't even reply and was trembling while we paid. It was awful and nothing short of bullying. My 4 year old even commented saying that lady isn't kind. I presume this lady was the owner, those girls are human and someone's daughters, it was awful to watch. She was ab absolute bully.

Visited with grand daughter. I loved this place. I ordered cheese scone, whilst being tasty would have benefitted with being warmed. Really good coffee. The decor is amazing, particularly the loo! The staff were friendly and overall a really good ambiance created.

What a quaint little ice cream shop, very bohemian, well worth a visit even if its just to use the loo, some fine artist imagination art work to be seen. Serves tea coffee alcohol and ice cream, no sarnies or bacon baps unfortunately

Happened by chance to find this place on Percy Park Road. Lovely cafe. Great ice cream. Well worth a visit. Lovely Srawberry tea cups. Large cafe Latte were great.

Visited with my son on a Friday afternoon for coffee cake and ice cream all of which were delicious. Great atmosphere and the coffee was exceptional.

Great find, cup of real tea in China cups! Decent size Scone and tea cake and good selection of ice creams. Staff and service were excellent and surroundings quirky, interesting and comfortable. Don’t quite understand the poor reviews,

We had Dibbleys booked for lunch on my hen. We were slightly late but the staff were still accommodating. There’s a lot of choice - a mix of savoury, to a whole host of desserts and ice cream. We chose alcoholic cocktails (made with ice cream) and a selection of sandwiches. The wait was a little longer than expected, but nothing awful and we enjoyed the experience. The sandwiches/toasties were nice but the highlight is definitely the ice cream desserts and cocktails. One member of the group did have a scone - unfortunately not the best. We would all return though, as the staff were friendly, and I’m dying to try some more items from the menu!

My Husband, 15 year old Son & I arrived about 2:15 on Sunday 18 July 2021 to see a queue of about 8 People which never moved. I went up to read the large choice of ice creams & overheard the waitress at the front of the queue advising they were shutting at 3pm & they were only taking taken away orders. As we only wanted 3 ice cream cones this suited us fine & we continued to wait. we could hear disgruntled people in the queue complaining they only wanted to pay but still they didn't separate the queues for customers wanting to order & those wanting to pay ( there was plenty of room beside the window where a separate queue could of been formed). We were amazed to see a young waitress with a plait walk out with a notebook in her hand, look at the queue & walk back in the cafe! The tall lady customer hovering on the edge of the queue was finally approached by the young waitress with 1 ice cream, she stated I ordered 3 ice creams & not in that flavour. She said look I 've been waiting over the 30 minutes & you have got my order wrong. Can I have my money back. They did this immediately ( there was no hesitation to sort this transaction which seems to suggest this has happened many times). The next customers were very nice & said look I'll take that lady's ice cream & order 2 more so you're not losing any money so they went out there way to help the business. Unfortunately the young waitress didn't seem to understand & took the ice cream away, & brought 3 new ice creams out & the other customers ice cream out which was now melting & left this ice cream on a table to melt in the sun( it was a glorious sunny day) . At last it was our turn - we ordered 2 raspberry ripple ice creams & an oreo ice cream.-all in cones. The older curly haired waitress advised there was no rasperry left so we ordered a peaches & cream ice cream, a strawberry cheese cake ice cream & the oreo in cones instead. We used our initiative to move out the queue & stand by the window. After 10 mns our order came. she said here is your strawberry ice cream, peaches & cream & oreo ice creams but the oreo was in a cup not a cone. I pointed this out straight away & she said I'll change that for you but walked away to get the bill without taking the tub away. She then came back with the bill. My 15 year old was fed up by then after waiting in the sun for 40 mins & said I'll just eat it . My Husband eat his & stated it was strawberry not strawberry cheeses cake,. As we walked away we noticed a board stating sorry you will have a long wait today as our waiting staff are training & we overheard the older waitress with curly hair stating sorry I thnnk my colleague has took your order wrong which we heard about 6 times whilst standing in the queue. Dibley's please take some advice because my ice cream was delicious & the menu looked so delicious because you are going to lose trade & money due to your incompetent waiting staff. If you are training staff you need an experienced waitress to shadow the training staff until they feel confident in their job. Please consider hiring experienced waitresses as the young waitress with a plait seemed to show no initiative & did not step up to take orders she seemed to want to hover in the background & when she did take any orders she got them wrong. I like to support local businesses & the café is in a prime position with passing trade walking to the beach. We even received a booklet with discount vouchers through our door in Whitley Bay & the choice of ice creams & menu had made Dibleys so enticing but we were left frustrated & disappointed yesterday. In theory this business could be such a success but the waiting staff are going to make them bankrupt!

Great service , staff very friendly and helpful explaining the menu and cocktail list. Very reasonable priced and if in the area definitely worth a visit just to see the deco in the toilet. Thanks too the staff for a great afternoon.

A beautiful set up which offers lots of treats and snacks for vegans which is brilliant! Incredibly helpful staff too, will be visiting again to sample one of the lovely cocktails!
