Very friendly welcome. Visited with friends and their dog after a walk. They had been before and I was pleased they shared this little gem with me. I enjoyed a baked potato and they opted for cooked breakfast.

We found this gem of a cafe while on one of our walks while on holiday (just over a mile away). It’s off the main road but it’s location and panoramic views are well worth the detour! Loads of outside seating is available to enjoy the vista. It is just SO peaceful. I’d like to bottle it and take it home! Do check opening times here as we were hoping to come on Sunday when, unfortunately, it was closed. I enjoyed a sandwich while hubby tucked into a ploughman’s. Both were amazing. I forgot to take photos though🙄. We then had cake🤗 you must come here to try the hummingbird cake-it was excellent. We did a 7.5 mile circular walk to enjoy our time at the cafe. Whatever you’re doing in this area make the detour to try out the tea room. Location, food and staff are all lovely!

Ordered gluten free afternoon tea on Friday 11th August to have on Wednesday 16th at 1pm. Went in this afternoon and was told they haven't got it. So I went somewhere else that would like to take my money.

Nice food, although a little pricey. Quiet setting with lovely outdoor views. A couple of inside tables and a couple of tables under gazebos. We went on a sunny day in April, but it was a little chilly. Dog friendly. Off the beaten track....watch the potholes on the approach road!!!!!!

Stunning location, over looking the Ax Vale and beyond, a little bespoke cabin style tear room, nice and cosy in the winter and lively seating area outside for more clement weather, plenty of space for cars, dogs and children. Lovely friendly atmosphere. We had tea and ploughman's which was very tasty with everything you could require on a ploughman's lunch. Very good value. Plenty of choice for everyone, the cream teas, cakes and ice cream looked delish. Well worth a detour from the A35. Thank you 😊 💓

Free parking available. Amazing views for outdoor diners, overlooking rolling hills and a field full of sunflowers in bloom. Good portions for food, which made up for my initial concerns over cost (moderately priced) - had a jacket potato that came with chilli, coleslaw and salad, then a slice of carrot cake, and a mocha. I feel that the business could look into insulated teapots and mugs as an option, especially for outdoor dining, as hot beverages had cooled quite quickly. That said, the current teacups and pots are very full of character and I can understand why they are used. The signage to find the tearoom were a little difficult to spot, you just need to take your time, drive slowly and look around. Worth the visit and experience. I would recommend and come back with friends/family to try out.

Stunning setting. 100% beautiful and a rare find. However, they are choosing for staff not to wear masks, incl those serving food and icecreams. They do however require customers to wear a mask inside, just not those breathing on your food... They are also choosing to not maintain distances. So if you are concerned about covid, don't come here. The icecreams are very very soft. While they taste ok, them melting almost immediately is a comment we have heard from others visiting here independently too. The milkshake was anything but 'thick' - it was watery and almost warm!

Worth seeking out this place if you want the traditional fish n chips with an option for something different. Option of small, medium or large fish n chips is a nice touch. Prices very reasonable and the foot long sausage and chips even made our teenage son look up from his screen! We took ours in the car to Exmouth beach and sat on the sea front.

My son & his partner got married at Rockbeare Manor on 31st August, it was a truly magical day. From 7am when we arrived at The Dairy for all the girls to have their hair & make up done, to 11am the following day, we could not fault any aspect of the event. Steph was the event manager for the day & nothing was too much trouble for her, she was so hard working & nothing was too much trouble for her.👏👏 I'd also like to thank all of the staff on duty during the event, you were all wonderful, but special mention for the barman in the evening (sorry forgot your name), what a lovely hard working guy & really personable. Anyone who is thinking of booking Rockbeare for you're wedding, don't hesitate, get it booked & I guarantee you won't regret it. Thanks again to everyone at Rockbeare.
