Always been a great experience on multiple ocassions and a different menu each time. If you’re looking for something a little different and like Indian street food / taster menus then this is for you. The waiters are very knowledgeable and talk you through each dish in depth. Atmosphere great. Food great and service great 5/5

Best Indian I've had live the menu as it has things a typical Indian restaurant wouldn't have the taster menu was what I had and the cocktails were amazing. Staff are great help you understand the menu and know when to come to the table don't rush you like others

Food was delicious 😋 I only didn't enjoy my main so much but I also was full after 9 courses. I wish I remember the names of what I ate. Anyway went for a 10 course discovery meal and I was pleasantly surprised. Food was looking great and it was tasting fantastic. I'm a vegetarian and was catered for no problem as they have lots of options in their menu. Would definitely go back again.

We had the 10 course taster menu. All food tasted really good, just a wee bit of Everything, but all really nice. All the staff were friendly, everything sounded a bit scripted with their jokes, but that's OK. Place was really busy but everything came out quickly and hot. Would deffo come back again. Well worth the money.

Nice atmosphere and friendly wait staff but felt that the ‘taster’ menu at 28 pounds was a little restrictive. I really wanted a traditional Indian meal but was given the ‘tapas’ style taster menu and there didn’t seem to be any other choice at that time and went with that as my fellow diners were doing the same. Some interesting flavours but I was not a fan of the idea of a stream of little single tasters and then getting a half sized main at the end. I understand why management like presenting this style of menu as it simplifies the processes in the kitchen in that they can send out multiples of pre prepared ‘tapas’ tasters and can have less qualified staff in the kitchen cooking the 8 or so mains during service time. It was an interesting experience but I prefer having an Indian style banquet laid out without the constant interruptions and ‘spiel’. Food was ok but was not impressed by being served a plate of chips as part of the ‘main’ meal. I may be weird but to me chips don’t belong with an Indian meal. Nice for a change but would I go back for that menu? Probably not.

Thoroughly enjoyed my 10 course taster meal, my first time here, I hope to return again and again and again. It’s a lovely restaurant decor wise. Staff were knowledgeable, attentive, professional and friendly. The various taster courses were very tasty and main courses accompanied by pilau rice and Indian bread were delicious. A very pleasurable experience I won’t forget and hope to repeat very soon. I would happily recommend you give this excellent restaurant a try.

The food was amazing, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. It was so lovely to be told all about the different dishes Also really handy to know everything was nut free, and mainly dairy free menu!

What an amazing restaurant. So different, the taster menu was fantastic. The staff are all so friendly and gave a full description of each dish as they arrived at the table. The menu was even adjusted to suit a vegetarian without any issues. Can not recommend enough, perfect opportunity to try something different.

Party of three for pre-theatre, 10 course tasting menu. Staff were so knowledgeable about the food, the flavours, the origin, and really made it an experience. Amazing value £28.95 per person for what we agreed was the best food we have ever eaten, and the best experience of eating together in a restaurant we have had. Looking forward to taking family and friends.

I cannot speak highly enough of this excellent dining experience. We have been to this exceptional restaurant on many occasions and each time you are made to feel like a part of a larger family. This creates the perfect dining experience. We had the 10 course taster menu. Each course is explained as to what it is and more importantly what regions cuisine you are experiencing. Flavoursome well presented food that takes you on a culinary journey. The staff are outstanding and genuinely friendly. Definitely not our last visit as we continue to taste future regional flavours. They also serve fantastic cocktails both alcoholic and none alcoholic.

Wowee! So impressed. We came for a birthday dinner and was so yummy. Service was fast and friendly, when dishes were finished they were swept away swiftly. Every dish was explained to us. We opted for the 10 course menu. The quality of food was amazing. Honestly 10/10. Will be back!

Had Dhoom at home for a family gathering, and it was an absolute treat! Great collection service and beautiful food! Well packed and labelled and they showed great customer care when collecting. Would highly recommend Dhoom at Home!

Best Indian experience I’ve ever had and I’m not from the UK! Having the owner serve you just made it feel like you were so very important to him. Every meal was explained and we just loved the real thought that went into every dish. Even better was the food, every dish was just delicious. Drinks (and options) all great! The vibe in there was awesome and we loved the decor. Would highly recommend to everyone, great spot!

A very unique experience with am amazing selection of the best Indian dishes I have ever had!! Arpan served us and matched the fantastic food with first class service. I'm a 45 min drive away and I will be back!

I don't give 5 often , but the service was excellent,we took a special at 32£ per head plus some drinks, each course starter 9 in all, was explained, where it came from and what was in it and there was a lot of ooh taste this, was very glad I went there and when I get back to scotland going again

We ate as a family of 4 on 25th Nov. 2024 celebrating a special occasion . All 4 of us were blown away by the quality and taste of every dish. We had 4 starters and every one was delicious . We had 4 different main courses and I cannot praise the quality of the food enough . This was a spectacular meal and thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish . Waiter was friendly , professional and informative. If you want great food in a lovely warm setting , Dhoom is the place to go . Highly recommended by all 4 of us . ❤️

This is the best place for authentic food and Amazing value for money!!! I just wish I had more room to have more! Unreal! I have recommended it to everyone who will listen. I am a chef and really hard to please usually.

Don't eat anything before you go, as the food is delicious but there are too many courses!

We hadn’t been here for some time and had forgotten just how amazing an experience it is. The staff are so welcoming from the moment you walk in. The menu is based around the street food from various areas of India, not the UK version of Indian Restaurants we get in most places (which we like as well). There is an a la carte menu if you wish, but I can highly recommend the 10 course taster menu from the selected area of India. On our visit, this was based on food from the Chennai area, but this changes. All you need to choose is the main course you want, which follows various fantastic taster plates all explained as they arrive by the knowledgeable servers. The quality of food was top class and wouldn’t be out of place in Edinburgh or London. We will be back very soon.

Visited a few days ago with my mum. The staff were lovely and welcoming and the food was excellent BUT the seats were the most uncomfortable I have ever sat on in any restaurant anywhere. They have obviously been chosen for how they look, with absolutely no thought given to the comfort of the customers. I couldn't wait to get up and leave. They were so uncomfortable that I will not be returning, which is a real shame as everything else, including the food, was top notch.

A bit different from your usual Indian restaurant. 7 course tasting menu presented in a "tapas" style. Nice place with excellent yet relaxed service.

The Food here is absolutely amazing , loved the taster style , giving you a flavour of different parts of India , telling the story of Chefs journey. The accommodations they make for likes and dislikes/ allergies is amazing . Food comes out super fast and always perfect temperature. The staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable. Especially like seeing Chef come round and talking with the customers. Honestly this is a top notch eatery and the seating options are fun and unique.

Great lunch there. Tasty and reasonable.

We have been here before and it is normally lovely. However this time we came at lunchtime and had the lamb which I thought tasted funny. However after being full from the starter I left.it and my partner ate it. 2 hours later he was sick. He didn't stop being sick for 2 days. I called the restaurant and the manager said it can't be tne lamb as there is no dairy and refused to even check the lamb or seem concerned. After paying £65 for a dinner for two we expected top quality food. Unfortunately this was not the case.

Food and service were top notch, we had the ten course tasting menu which was stellar on every course. Left feeling stuffed and happy. Worth every penny. Would Def recommend and we will be back.

I've been here twice now, and the experience was great both times. The taster menu is good value, and courses are served with just the right amount of time between by friendly staff. You get to order your own dish as part of the taster menu, too. I went with two vegans - so the taster menu was different for them and me - we all enjoyed it

I never knew Indian cuisine could be this beautiful. We ordered the testing menu. All food was scrumptious except lamb meat. The plating was beautiful but the lamb had a strong smell unfortunately. However everything was perfect. The interior of the restaurant was nice for adults and kids both and staff was professional to explain about the food. It was really lovely dinner night :)

What a brilliant restaurant. The food is superb, dinner was the 10 course taster and everything was excellent. It was just a case of different levels of how much we enjoyed each dish. The service was fantastic with the servers explaining the dishes and really quick and attentive service. Can't recommend this place enough. Brilliant.

Love this place, I always try to go back whenever the menu changes to try the new food. Service is always excellent too, I'm vegan and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. My fiance and I were served by Arpan on our most recent visit a couple of weeks ago, who recommended some really amazing dishes to us! Can't wait to come back already!

Went here today with my hubby and daughter for a birthday lunch , for my daughter food was amazingas alway. We all had the 10 course taster menu and me and my daughter loved the flight cocktail. The staff were really good at explaining about each course,one of our favourite restaurants can't wait to go back x

Their taster menus are really great, I love being able to try different dishes in small portions (though often I am full before the main course!)

What an amazing experience! Fabulous authentic Indian street food, feast actually. Lovely service by all the staff, especially Nisha (apologies to all the gentlemen who also made our dinner a fab experience, as don't know the names, but thank you!). Can't recommend this place enough. We took friends and family all foodies, and everyone loved it. We went as a table of 9 and even though the place was busy the service was excellent and food even better.

Just WOW!!!! what a fantastic meal! We had the 10 course dinner menu and every single dish was delicious. The staff are amazing and very attentive. Will definitely be returning very soon! And great to hear they switch up the menu every 6 months too! We took our 2 children (4 and 7) where they ate off the kids menu which will suit all children. Highly recommend!

This restaurant is worth coming to Dunfermline for. A real gem on the dining scene. Kudos to the management for their fresh concept of selling Indian food as a cultural experience - explaining the background and a wee bit of detail about what you've ordered. Food was delicious, portions respectable, service excellent, price reasonable. Decor is great and the location is right in the centre of town. Unless you don't like Indian food - you should try this place at least once.

Pure dead brilliant, every dish served with a description and history by excellent staff who made me feel welcome from the minute I walked through the door. The combinations of sauces with each starter seemed to make each one even better than the last, a total taste sensation with every bite. My first visit was a total winner and I'll be back soon.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Scotland, with a generously priced rotating menu of multiple small plates plus a main dish of your choice, that takes you on a culinary tour of India. The staff are friendly and informative, conscious of food allergies and differing food preferences, and the aesthetic of rope-swing seats and colourful wall decorations gives the place a lively but relaxed feel. Will be returning sometime soon!

Delicious, and different Indian food. Make sure you're hungry when you arrive as you get plenty of food. Great value as well. Will recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Another fantastic experience at Dhoom. We once again had the Taster menu with 9 starters and a main course, with a good selection for the main course with options for vegetarians, pescatarians, and carnivores. Each course perfectly sized, seasoned, and full of flavour. Great value for money too. For the mains, hubby had the Mango chicken and I had the King Prawn Thokku. Beautiful, full of the chicken or prawns, and so moist and tender. Each dish was explained well as to its ingredients and origins. The dishes just kept coming; great if, like me, you have difficulty choosing from an array of tempting dishes. Staff were all great, friendly, and approachable. I can't wait to return again and again and again.

Despite me having made a mistake on my online booking, and the restaurant being busy, we were warmly welcomed, and given a table for two, allbeit time limited. The taster menu was just perfect, lots of different flavours, textures & quips & explanations of the origins of the dishes from the lovely servers. We liked that you choose your main course, but the courses on the taster menu are set. The food was fresh, flavoursome, and just the right amount. I mentioned that it was our wedding anniversary in conversation, and we were gifted a lovely momento, which was an unexpected & very kind gesture. The Pinot Grigio was crisp & perfect too. Thank you to all at Dhoom - we will be back!

We have just visited Dhoom during our stay in Dunfermline. We have never been here before and chose the taster menu but we are a veggie/vegan couple so all the dishes were vegan that we had. WOW words cannot express how delicious the food was and what a culinary masterpiece of authentic Indian food which the Chef has prepared. You are truly transported to another continent. The staff were so helpful, friendly and knowledgable, that we need them to relocate to Liverpool. Thank you for such an unforgettable evening.

Decoration full of Indian Vibes and food was fusion. We tried 7 course menu was delicious and different. I wished if they have dessert also part of 7 course menu. Must try- veg / non veg option. Very friendly staff. Arpan was great.

This is a tasting menu from an area in India, this night it was Chennai. I was looking forward to the experience as one of my daughters had previously raved about her night when Mumbai was the theme. This was however totally underwhelming. The first course was good which was a small onion bhaji and the main meal didn’t disappoint. The other courses (about 7/8), lacked flavour and texture. They were all soft with no texture at all. The red wine choices were also non existent. Not worth the £30 price tag and as they only change the menu every 6 months, it will be a long before we think of returning.

Our 2nd weekend in a row having lunch. Honestly the best place in fife for food. The owners are lovely and the people working their are incredibly kind and attentive. They always make time to interact with our little girl and she enjoys getting a chapati. The menu never lacks , its always served at such a high standard. The coffee and banana kulfi is vegan! And delicious! Thank you Dhoom!!

Visited today for our second time in two weekends! Love the food so much and the staff are just as great. We come in with our little one year old and she likes being entertained by all the staff! Our favourite restaurant by far and love coming every time. Thank you again everyone, can't wait for our next visit!!

Have been here several times and on each occasion, we have been blown away by the amazing food, the wonderful staff who always make us feel so welcome. Dhoom's menu is so unique, not the same old dishes that you get elsewhere but new combinations that make Dhoom way better than any Indian food I've had before. Looking forward to our next visit.

The starters were almost a meal in themselves, all beautifully displayed and brought to the table with an explanation of each one. So tasty it was hard to choose a favourite. Absolutely insane the best Indian food I have ever eaten, but the food is only 50% the service was second to none, they take you on a journey and they explain where the chefs mind is with such a degree of passion, never mind rosettes the deserve a star! Think my servers name was arpen, he made us feel so at home and his recommendations where class

Lovely place nice staff unfortunately I didn’t like the majority of the food as it was mainly South Indian food. Having been in India I prefer the North Indian food but that’s my preference. Lamb curry was nice and the kofta . But lots of people would like this. Not expensive

Have to say I keep expecting to be disappointed but once again the welcome from all the staff is exceptional and the new chennai menu was superb. There cannot be anywhere else that treats you like family and feeds you so well. Fantastic experience as usual

A fantastic time here. The food was fantastic, with a rotating menu every six months I will be back. It wasn't just eating food it was an experience. Not a fan of spicy food, I will say the flavours made it well worth it. It was spicy (to be expected), but just enough to not spoil the taste of the food. In one night, I had tried so many new flavours, like never before. The service was also fantastic! They're friendly , they take genuine interest and they care about their food. We mentioned it was my friends birthday which caused the celebration. When I asked them to take a group picture for us, they took an additional photo and made an adorable photo frame with the picture inside. It genuinely made our night. The place was clean, well decorated and comfortable. The furniture and decor was interesting and it created a comfy atmosphere. Also we learned so much about what we were eating too. It was great overall. I highly recommend it and I will be returning !

First time at Dhoom ! Don't know why I've left it so long . Thought it would be over rated but it was a most enjoyable outstanding experience ! Will definitely be back soon ! X

And this eclectic list includes Rules Restaurant in London's Covent Garden, and the sadly, now defunct, Le Poulailler d'Or in Paris's First Arrondissement, as it was in the 1980s. The passion, dedication, and skill of chef-patron Mr Prasad, and his staff, weave a welcome as warm and as rich as the delicious dishes which they serve, infused with herbs and spices from across the Indian sub-continent. But there is no standing on ceremony at Dhoom: the food, speaks for itself. My first visit to Dhoom (it will not be my last) was in the company of beloved family members. We were treated to the sumptuous 10-course Chennai Taster Menu, and each course was served with an enthusiastic description of the ingredients, and summary history of the dish - an enriching, and thoroughly enjoyable experience. Dining at Dhoom is not just 'eating out': it is an education.

Had lunch with a mate today , popped his dhoom cherry ive been about 12 times now . We are both chefs cooking at 2 rosette level and were blown away. vibrant flavours great presentation exceptional service , stunning decor and great ambiance cannot recomend enough ........ go on pop ur dhoom cherry today ...... we will be back mext month for the 10 course .... well deserved AA rosette wouldnt be shocked if u get another next inspection as i couldnt fault a thing

Dhoom is a fine dining place serving Indian food. They serve a variety of Indian recipes with both vegetarian and non vegetarian options. They have a great ambience and excellent service. We visited this place for dinner while we were on a trip to Scotland. We were served by Arpan and George. Both of them are welcoming and helpful. Provided us with a good explanation about the menu and recipes.

Astronomically good experience tonight. Went for the taster menu and the chance to have each dish explained to you with all the love and care with which they were prepared was a delight. Friendly engaging staff, delicious food, and a great set up to encourage return visits to try the different regions as thenmenu switches around. I'm so glad such a restaurant exists in Dunfermline to show the variety of Indian cuisine. Thank you for a wonderful meal!!

Visited for the first time and loved the whole experience! It is a testing menu which I didn't know beforehand so you will need 90 mins at least to get through the 10 (yes, 10!) courses but each of them is small and different and unusual and all so exquisite. I don't say this lightly, it was a dining experience, not just a meal out. I will definitely be back!

Of a 5 day scotland trip this was the best food AND service. Such creative food, so many little touches which show a restaurant going to such efforts. Delightful staff and the head chef/owner even brought out some of our dishes and personally explained the story. Fantastic restaurant (please open in London!!!)
