The last 3 times I’ve had food at lunchtime it’s been cold or lukewarm. I thought it may be teething troubles with the new management but it has not improved. I wonder if the food is from the day before or the fryer is not being brought up to temperature. Either way the sausage and chips are consistently cold and soggy. With the previous owners, you could feel the heat of the food through the carton and paper. That is no longer the case. I don’t know what the food is like in the evening but I would avoid eating at lunchtime unless you are seeing it cooked fresh in front of you.

Ordered some food for my family and couldn’t recommend enough, dhillon himself answered the phone and completed my organisation skills every time I phone 😊

I am home from Germany visiting my parents & our regular chippy is closed at the moment for a refurb, so we decided to try Dhillons for a change. The guy serving was very friendly & welcoming. The shop is clean & bright. We ordered 2 Haddock & chips and 1 Cod & chips. The food was cooked fresh and we didn't have to wait long at all. We even got a free big bottle of Fanta with our order. The portions are massive! I don't think I've ever had a bigger portion of both fish and chips in my life. Both were cooked so well and were very tasty. My photo does not do the food justice at all. Top marks all around! I definitely believe you are the new regular chip shop for our family. Well done! :)

Disgusting quality & service. Haddock like an old sandal despite phoning in advance to ensure it was freshly cooked. Still had to wait 10 minutes in the shop to collect my order with only two other customers in the shop. This was a decent (Never great) chippy but now it's bad beyond belief.

this place is horrible and the amount of grease that comes with the food is ridiculous. the worst part would have to be the staff, were racist to my child and i was quite appaled

Lovely fish and chips. Paid almost £9pounds for fish chips and curry. So more expensive than i usually pay but quality is good and potion size was good

Fresh quality food, staff friendly and approachable! Has a good variety to chose from, and never have to wait long, will be back

I have visited other dhillans chip shops and they were fab. This one unfortunately is overpriced and small portions. Didn't even fill up my 8 year old. The food did taste nice however.

I use this chippy regularly as the chips are amazing as is the king rib in batter. My only criticism is that the portions of chips could be bigger. That aside I would recommend this place to anyone

Friendly staff, 5 star hygiene rating, wide choice of food from home made pizzas to fish, southern fried chicken, kebabs and the usual chippy range... but most importantly the food tastes great!!! I saw a member of staff use potato chips kept in a bucket so wondering if the chips aren't homemade too (not sure though!!). I have just moved to the area but can see use becoming regulars for sure. Our builder went when we had work done on the house too and he ended up having his lunch most days!
