Disgusting service, we ordered their food for my son's wedding and we had a really bad experience. We had 500 guests and they only provided us with a few waiters. Some of the chicken pieces were uncooked and the daal was burnt. Many of our guests didn't get any food and some of them were served cold food after waiting for a long time. It was so embarrassing as some of our guests travelled a long way to attend this wedding.

I was craving for roast pilaf so went there, the chicken gravy tasted like fish gravy. Chickpeas tasted horrible ( both agreed) . Partner ordered kachi biryani which they found okay. I couldn’t even eat much and the manger / server didn’t even bother asking how the food was, so the money spent was really a waste. Felt bad wasting the food .

I called this place before I went to order biriyani for 50 people. A guy called Shahin gave me a total of £250. When I went to order it, he bumped the price up to £300. Not only that he denied he gave me that price and said I heard wrong! Month of Ramadan be true to your words. I didn’t order from there in the end.

It’s reasonable. Not bad! Not like before. But still can find authenticity. I might visit again. Cheers

I absolutely recommend this place a lot, one of my Bangladeshi friend told me to go and eat there. I tried once and literally fell in love with it. Since then I became a costumer and I go there at least every 2 weeks, literally traveling from west London to eat there, highly recommend the place. The service is great and owners are very friendly and kind. I can't wait to go back there for my usual (kacchi biryani) which I recommend to try

Numerous Bangladeshi friends had recommended Dhaka Biryani on Mile End Road. So one evening I went along and ordered a chicken biryani which I asked to be served with a dal. A small salad is also part of the deal. Fantastic taste and fantastic value for the small sum of £5. The owner was in and told me that his father had opened the restaurant having previously worked in some of Brick Lane’s best Bangladeshi cafes. He recommended the next time I visited I should try the kachi (lamb) biryani. I certainly will.

We (two adults with two children) entered this small Indian restaurant that seems to specialize in take out, and were told we could have a seat and they'd serve us. They brought the menu, we ordered, and when it arrived - we were delighted. From the Mango Lassi drinks for the kids, to the nan and the different dishes we ordered and traded, it was food heaven - all for under 9 pounds per person. In fact, we had enough left over to be the main part of our meal the next day. So if you're in this area, which is full of diverse ethnic restaurants, I'd recommend Dhaka Biryni

The restaurant is owned by Bengali people in the City of London. And it serves mostly the Bangladeshi/South Asian Foods. However, you may visit to taste something different than the fast food.

While staying at a nearby rented apartment during a short trip to London, one of the local apartment residents suggested an authentic Bangladeshi food. She even went out of her way to walk us close to the place and we were definitely impressed by the food, but not the ambience. Its a small mom-pop shop, food was behind a counter and you had to pick from the already cooked choices. But as we were hungry we picked the Bengali food that we knew about and were not disappointed. Even the home-made drinks in the nearby fridge was very good. I would definitely recommend the place if you are in the vicinity.

I would recommend their kacchi biriyani and borhani. Rest of the items are average, I will recommend not to go for them.

The Mutton Kacchi Biryani is authentic and tastes good with the awesome Chicken Rezalla. They have improved the biryani over the past few years but the grains could have been longer but it just costs 6 quid so can't complain at all.

This restaurant offers authentic biryanis, pure Bangladeshi style. Burhani (yoghurt drink) is really nice. Right price for the quality.

Authentic desi style biriyani. Can't say really great but not bad either. If you are lucky will find good fish as well. For larger gatherings they prepare and add items as per request

I am a regular at Dhaka Biryani for the last few years. As their name suggests, they do an excellent Bengali style Biryani (Chicken & Lamb). With the Biryani you have a choice of Daal or Chana Bhuna. Both are good. Having tried Biryani's (one of my favourite Indian dish) in many restaurants, I happily state that the Biryani here is amazing!!.I have also used their catering service for parties. The food is always excellent, plentiful and good value, although service is not always great.

This place has some really decent Bengali curry. Rather than order off a menu I recommend you just look at what they have cooking in the front and order what looks best. Their lamb bone curries and fish curries are especially delicious. They can usually feed you up for only a fiver too.

I went in to buy some snacks. Bought one portion of pakoras and two meat somosas. Cost was £4.40 in total. I ate out so did not ask for it to be heated. Both the somosas and pokaras were nice but nothing special. I really liked the red sauce they gave with it. I would go again. I went around lunch time but they still didnt have much of a selection or anything that looked like it was freshly made. This point would probably make my experience very different.Overall, my experience was satisfactory and I would visit again. :-)

This place is more of a cafe than a restaurant - not a problem when you want to relax after a long day in London. We chose Mile End over Brick Lane to try and get away from the tourists during the Olympics. There are several biryani cafes along the main road but I am not sure why we chose this one.We ordered the Chef's special biryani which was about £10 and turned out to be much bigger than we expected. Meat skewers (juicy and flavourful) chana masala and dhal (average) naan bread (wonderful) and a plate of biryani (lamb, chicken, prawns and a fried egg, and yes that is a 12" plate each in the picture!)The staff were preparing for a wedding so this could explain why the food came out over a period of 30 minutes or so. Despite being full the food was so tasty we kept eating 'just one more mouthful' and were given takeaway containers for the leftovers when completely stuffed. We will definitely go back here - for authentic food this is the place to be, not Brick Lane!
