service very slow. Totally confused when I asked for a receipt . Added my items to the receipt which I clearly told them I wanted it separate. Not noticed until going back to work sorting out receipts. They charged me twice . Not very happy with this as too far to travel to sort it. . Staff don't know what they are doing .look far to young to cope. used to visit quite often but won't bother any more...

Dropped in for a bacon and mushroom baguette. Served by very helpful staff. Social distancing and COVID precautions being observed. Yes it’s basic and down to earth establishment but a very warm welcome given to customers. Excellent service. I liked the relaxed atmosphere and will be back when next in the area.

This is nice and friendly cafe in the heart of devonport, the staff are so friendly and welcoming, there is plenty of room and a good choice to choose from. Wether you want a filing fry up or a home made lunch , this is great value.

We've eaten in some pretty ordinary places around the world (Delhi, Brooklyn, The Bronx NY), where you'd probably expect hygiene to be poor, and this ranked down there with them. Had a good view of the guy preparing his food and his hands were all over it, notably after swatting and picking up adult. An ordinary pastie and poor chicken baguette. Oh, and instant coffee rather than fresh ground. But at least it was cheap.

Always great service and great food everytime I visit. Compared to other cafes in the area this one has to be the best! The cook will try to accommodate whatever you would like to eat and has always had good rapport with the customers. Keep up the good work guys!!

Very average food that is at a reasonable price but I feel that I am putting them out when ordering food. I was told it could be 10 mins and realised that he almost wanted me to cancel. Very hot and stuffy in there as well and it was only 0800hrs on an average day (not hot!!)

Went in for a take away steak pasty, literally consisted of pastry and gravy no meat at all, very disappointing. Not that cheap either.

Staff are friendly and the food is good value. The menus are basic and vary from a traditional fry-up to roasts etc

North end of Marlborough St near the site of the old police station this is a busy daytime down to earth cafe above greasy spoon standard serving good numbers of locals in this dense residential area. Good value for what you get.

It's a Costa, they're all the same. Friendly staff and nice and clean. Not much else to say.

Typically great brewdog atmosphere and like normal the bar staff have good music taste. Impressive guest drinks selection, and awesome food menu. Love the buffalo sauce they use here. Really do like the atmosphere. If the drinks were a little cheaper I’d sit and drink for hours.

Avoid at all costs. Unpleasant people who have no idea of a community pub. No care in the world other than themselves.

One of the worst burger i've ever eaten. Much worse that McDonald's or kfc

Our dining experience at the Mayflower was mixed, with friendly service but substandard food. Service: The staff were welcoming and attentive, resolving minor issues like smudged glassware quickly and professionally. The bread service was a nice touch, and we appreciated the small details from the staff. Food: Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to expectations. My Wagyu Burger (£27) was dry with a stale bun, and the beef short rib (£33) was more like a small, over-seasoned croquette rather than a proper portion. Both dishes felt overpriced for what was delivered. Response to Feedback: When I shared feedback with the staff, the waitress didn’t seem to know how to handle it and left us feeling quite uncomfortable. Although the manager, Mike, later removed the cost of the mains, the experience had already been marred by the poor food quality and lack of service recovery at the time. In summary, while the service started strong, the disappointing food and awkward handling of our feedback made for a subpar dining experience.
