Over priced and evidently understaffed - - £4.10 for a small coffee because it was with oat milk is ridiculous for this area - Good food when it finally arrived after 45 mins waiting but nothing special. Actually just wanted to leave after about 15 mins of arriving. So annoyed we drove 30 mins to this place and will not return.

Very disappointed. Limited menu - asked if we could swap avocado for egg but was told no amendments. Settled for scones and a piece of cake instead as we felt we couldn't eat breakfast whilst someone couldn't find an alternative option. Poor service and long wait for 4 coffees some scones and a piece cake. The customers behind us had arrived after us and had consumed there food whilst we were still waiting. Other disappointed /disgruntled customers. As a regular midweek customer I had told them them the service wasn't usually that bad but I hadn't visited on a Sunday before!

This is a wonderful place to meet up with friends and enjoy a coffee, or to visit for lunch. The staff are welcoming and the food is delicious. The cakes are difficult to resist, too!

Outstanding location, a great lunch of cajun chicken followed by lovely homemade cake. Cushions available for the metal seats and in the winter it is worth seeking out one of the warmer areas to sit, but a great spot just West of Chichester.

Did not go to have food or drink--only to view shop goods On FACE BOOK they advertise 1mile from Chichester but according to my milometer in my car it is in excess of 3.5 miles and with poor directions. Arriving at the ex farm building the Design Vintage signage was in BLAND Signwriting NOT at all clear and no direction on road to the site. Obviously ex farm building now given over to a variety of small businesses. One needs deep pockets to ship here e.g Three turned pieces of wood with glasses in them £56!!! Tumblers of basic glass quality £15 Lovely country setting well off the beaten track!!

Really pretty tea room and shop and an excellent service. Cakes looked amazing but we didnt have any. Savoury was lovely though, simple but tasty. Only comment is that i found it really odd that a sardine board turned out to be a tin of sardines served up with a slice of bread- o had expected a hot fish - very peculiar being served a tin!

Had the best tea and cake here on several occasions plus several lunches but I so wish they would invest in some decent chairs. Perched on a stool again today. The other choice was a narrow driftwood bench. Trendy I’m sure but so uncomfortable. Please buy something to replace them.

Popped in here for lunch and had 2 delicious sandwiches. Excellent value for money, really comfortable welcoming space, very friendly and warm staff and the chocolate brownie is to die for. We'll be back now we've discovered this cafe and it's just around the corner from us.

When we arrived with my friend, we sat in the back room and it was freezing. The staff told us that two of the radiators didnt work ! The food was vey good but we were so disappointed by the staff who seemed very unfriendly and not very helpful or smiley. For that reason, we will not go back or recommend it.

The staff who served myself and my fellow cyclists was polite and pleasant. When I entered the shop the choices of cake looked amazing and as every cyclist knows we like riding and like having cake. When I asked if there were any gluten free cakes I was told that several were low in gluten. As a coeliac I cannot have gluten and was really upset to find that I couldn't have any cake. What's the point of having items with low gluten? Would you say to a vegetarian it has only a little bit of animal fat? I did have a gluten free bacon sandwich which was nice, but it wasn't cake. As for the coffee that was served in a mug with no handle? I will not be returning.

Such a lovely shop and beautiful surroundings but the staff are just so unwelcoming. No smiles. This is my third visit and i noticed it from day one. It has such potential if only the staff acted as if they wanted to be there!

Decent lunch selection with plenty of healthy options and lots of gorgeous unhealthy cakes! Very good coffee and friendly service. The Quinoa bowl was excellent. A pleasant courtyard to sit outside in if it’s a sunny day.

I had seen the interiors shop on Instagram and when I saw they had a cafe as well with a lovely menu I was more intrigued to visit. The shop did not disappoint with lots of lovely interior items, pricey but worth it if looking for that special item. The cafe surroundings was lovely, staff super friendly but we were let down by some of the food. I ordered a toasted ciabatta with melted mozzarella, fiery pesto, baby tomatoes and spinach for £7.50, the ciabatta was tiny, in the description above the mozzarella was described as fresh buffalo mozzarello but it was the plastic yellow grated mozzarella you buy in supermarkets and was not melted! The fiery pesto was barely a scrap on the bread, I don't mind paying £7.50 for a sandwich but would expect more Artsian than what was served. Saying that my partner had the pancakes and they were good and we shared a rocky road which was very tasty. Such a lovely place just hoping they have only got it wrong with this one choice!

Very nice setting in a beautiful rural conversion and very well organised in these Covid times. Great place to meet, whatever the weather. The shop was a little disappointing but good tea and great coffee. Victoria sponge was average at best - if you can’t get fresh cream filling in the countryside ?? Choice of snack food was uninspiring. But clean and friendly.

Been a regular here and always been good. Today, as two hungry cyclists we checked the website and it said they closed at 5pm. We raced there and turned up at 430 and they wouldn’t serve us because they said they closed at 430 ... they wouldn’t even sell us a slice of cake or a cuppa.

Be warned - despite the website advertising that the shop/cafe is open until 5pm, if you arrive after 4:30pm you won't be served, as bluntly informed by the rude woman serving behind the counter!! Apparently the last half an hour is for cleaning up!!The opening times should be adjusted to reflect this. Also, cleaning up and closing down around seated guests is pretty unprofessional.

Lentil or pean and ham seem to be the winter offerings at the moment and I can recommend both! They come with two slices of delicious toasted bread and real butter (in a ramekin not a plastic disposable pot!). The counter is laden with all kinds of wicked looking cakes and cookies! The seating area is comfortable and clean although perhaps a little bit dark. The coffee is OK and served in nice big mugs.

I called into this lovely place to view the lovely items that were on sale. Also has a lovely rustic, rural coffee and light food area. The location is in a converted farm building in the Kingley centre, West Stoke Farm, West Stoke...at the foot of the South downs, just north of the cathedral city of Chichester. The service and food are excellent which is served with a friendly smile.

My friend and I went for a lunch snack here. Lovely courtyard, menu was limited. We ordered a Cajan chicken ciabatta. It sounded great. We asked the friendly staff member if it would be very spicy. Average was the reply and it’s cooked with chillis. We decided to go for it anyway. Tasted no chilli, bread over baked, and it was dry. The chicken pieces were unchewable. I chomped on a bit and decided to take the rest from my mouth and return the plate. I analysed the chicken, it was threads of dense, dry matter, no succulence at all. Overcooked and reheated. My friend ate hers, just about. She didn’t want it to spoil our lunch date. She did tell the staff. The staff said they had never had anyone complain about this meal before. By saying this, the staff member alluded that it was me, and not the meal, that was at fault. Not good service. I said it’s probably because people generally don’t like to complain and that includes me. Did I want anything else? No way. A bit of staff training here wouldn’t go amiss. I won’t be back. Trendy, perhaps, but it doesn’t get my vote nor that of my friend. Cakes looked nice, and sitting outside was very nice. Good tea and coffee.

This is both an interesting structure and building as well as well run coffee stop and home furnishing store. Cafe is super friendly with attentive service and attitude. Could have spent considerably longer but had time pressures as cyclists ofter do.

Very warm welcome, matched by excellent all day breakfast ( for both of us). A very relaxed cafe, with superb cakes, and pasteries to go. A pleasure to eat in this friendly, and very clean cafe, with a very good selection. A nice change to the corporate cafes.

Although they’ve faced a few days of closure it doesn’t take away from the brilliance of the food they serve, food was done beautifully and the burgers cooked very well. Generous portion sizes and very very thick and tasty milkshakes I will definitely be returning. Also to note the tables and kitchen are kept quite clean and there was wasn’t much mess on the floor round the crowded tables which is a good sign the place is being looked after well.

The home made food really is tasty and quite different so you should find it interesting. A nice cafe to supplement a visit to Westdean gardens next door. Nice big pot of tea thank you. You can enjoy the garden out the back if the weather lets you.
