Late review- I got a deal that was 2 burgers for £10 on Uber and me and my girlfriend both barely ate any of the burgers because the chicken smelt weird (like it was just going off) and tasted weird, definitely seemed like it had been frozen previously as well, been there twice and the first time we got a rice and chicken bowl thing. it didn’t taste bad but for £5.99 we expect at least more than one tiny piri r piri r strip cut up with the rice, also my gfs had a hair in it which I just took out and had hers and she had mine instead. After the weird tasting & smelling chicken burger I won’t be going again. I put 1 star for atmosphere because I didn’t eat in and also both times I collected it has been completely empty & when walking past it’s been empty or with only 1 person eating. I did try get refund on Uber but they just apologised and said they couldn’t give a refund for some reason I can’t remember now :)

I initially gave a 1 star review because our order was cancelled after an hour of waiting However we decided it was only fair to give the place a 2nd chance This time the food arrived quickly! And it didn't disappoint Decent food for a decent price. So I've upgraded my review to 5stars 🙂

There was something wrong with my order and they gave me a free meal because i was waiting until i was able to pick up my order, they were so nice and the burger was 10/10 never had such a good and fresh burger :) really sweet here!

The burgers were lovely, could either do with bigger pieces of chicken or smaller buns though as seemed to be all bun, but the chicken was very tasty! The mango and lime one was gorgeous. The fries (in our opinion need more seasoning) and the sweet potato fries were overcooked. Delivery time was great and was delivered still piping hot. Would order again minus the fries.

This was my first meal and delivery. Really impressed with the quality. I chose my order carefully as it was my first time and next time will be more adventurous as mild was exactly that :D Food was delicious though and the chicken was so tender and beautifully cooked. I was kept informed until delivery arrived. Will definitely order again. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Very nice food! Would recommend ... But I would recommend you put the option of plain rice on the menu also, family members do not like spicy so we can't order from you sadly. Update 26th June : Looks like you have listening to the reviews and now have plain items on the menu! Thank you, again my takeaway was fantastic, quick and yummy! Keep up the great work. Only advice would be the kids meals for e.g popcorn chicken was very burnt! Dial back that oven will ya 😏

Good choice of chicken alternatives to all the fried chicken or fried burgers. I come here for Gym box, for strange reason not on their menu but you can order it anyway. Decent price compared to other places.

Usually we go in and eat. today we orderrd takeaway, was gutted no wings. Amazing food and we no longer have to travel to Eastbourne for Fresh peri peri chicken. great additions to Bexhill.

Food came in good time. Don't waste your money on any kids meals, chicken was burnt black, I was shocked they had actually given it to me. The wrap was OK, not much chicken in and way to much watery sauce but was still tasty. Half chicken with peri chips was good.

We came as a group, loved their food, chicken was delicious, wings was reslly hot maybe dont eat Naga flavour if you cant handle heat. Would recommended the XL burger, decent price for what you get.

Great food! Ordered the food and it arrived 20 minutes later. The chicken fell straight off the bone, I would say it’s better than Nando’s! The variation of flavours and food is amazing. I was able to feed my whole family for half the price of what it would be at Nando’s :) - would highly recommend!!

Great tasting food, great new flavours

De la peri peri was first option that came up when I went on just eat today. Hadn’t heard of them before & I’m not a huge fan of chicken, but thought we’d give it a go as something different to the curry/chinese/kebab that we usually order. Pleasantly surprised & glad we gave it a try - food arrived quickly, very hot and was really tasty. Will definitely order from De la peri peri again.

chicken wings were really good but the rest of our meal was disappointing. Very small portion of chips for £4. Spicy rice all clumpy and not your typical spicy rice it's just curried rice. chicken burger was OK but in a cheap bun with minimal salad and a little dry. over priced and underwhelming

Chicken here is really nice, and the chips and rice. However I know this is a new place so there's going to be a few teething problems and this is the price was high with the service charge and delivery on top too. I would kindly suggest an option for peri chicken meal ie, chicken, chips or rice and a drink. Ordering separately is expensive. And maybe an option for a non spicy rice. Really enjoyed the food!

regardless of the 10 odd minutes extra wait time, bag could've been sealed a bit better to keep the fries warmer, but the food and the quality was outstanding, very impressed, will order again and recommend to others. Thank you.

Order was missing a dip, consider sealing the outer bag to ensure the chips etc remain hot

Best peri peri in east sussex chef was so good

The peri peri chicken was absolutely delicious! The flavors were perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of spice, and the chicken was cooked to perfection—tender and juicy. It's definitely a dish I'll be craving again soon!

Not really a date night place but service was friendly if a bit slow. Great that you can bring your own drinks though. The food however is the best I've had in Bexhill and is consistently good across the menu, so it's now our go-to takeaway.

Collected a take away. 2 items missing. I rang to be told they were to busy to deliver said items. So I went to get a refund and there was no money in the till even though I paid with cash. I had to wait 15mins for a refund. Bad service all round no apologies for what happened. Can't see this place lasting long. Other customers inside were being told there order was going to be 20mins after ordering 30mins before hand. They were not busy they had 4 customers inside plus me. Terrible service all round. I don't normally leave reviews but felt I needed to for this place to warn people.

Ordered at 18.55, at 20.30 still no food. Rang up at 20.20 to be told there's massive delays & it hasn't left the restaurant or been made i suspect would have be nice to have been informed there was a delay as I would have gone elsewhere. Complained to justeat too . 2 very hungry people When food arrived half my order was missing and curry tasted plain & watery. Onion bhaji was inedible too spicy

Just had a really lovely meal with friends this evening. The food was beautifully presented and was extremley flavoursome the portions were generous aswell. All 4 of us were in agreement that it was 1st class and very good value for money. A Big thank you for your excellent service aswell ,you were all very friendly and attentive. We will return soon to sample other dishes from your wonderful menu. Pete😀

Very good food, many Vegan options available

Some of the best Indian dishes we have had. Very authentic, and beautifully prepared. The portions are generous, and the packaging for take outs is very good quality , no spillage! Home deliveries arrive at the exact time that is promised, amazing!

We have just moved to the area and are still waiting for a cooker delivery so took advantage of going out. Chose Desi bites, looked bright and airy and had a good vibe. We were not disappointed. The food was absolutely wonderful, lovely spicing, and plentiful - we were able to bring a small doggy bag home which we can fight over for lunch tomorrow. Will definitely be going back, staff were super nice too.

I have dined at Desi Bites a few times now, lunch and dinner, eat in and takeaway. The food is so clean and fresh and the flavours are superb, staff are very friendly and keen to talk you through the menu if required. Very clean environment, I'm super impressed with this lovely restaurant and its range of fabulous food 😋

such a tasty and delicious and flavoursome dinner at a very fair price. very excited for my leftovers for lunch tomorrow. coconut rice was particularly special. my friend is vegan and they had plenty of options for him too, which he was pleased about. would highly recommend. great service too, thank you! :-*

Desi Bites is a hidden gem in Bexhill serving up delicious Indian food. The menu is extensive, with something to suit everyone's taste. Lovely place great currys. Staff friendly. The service was slow, and all dishes ordered by the three tables came out at the same time. The interior looks more like a tea shop where you order coffee and cakes. It was clean and bright.

Have previously visited Desi Bites, in Bexhill, for coffee and lunch. Very friendly staff & excellent food. We had our first takeaway, on our first night back from our holiday. It was absolutely amazing food. Extremely tasty and huge portions. Can highly recommend.10/10.

Very pleasant cafe in Bexhill offering a welcome Indian inspired addition to the town's daytime options. Veggie wrap was fresh a flavorful and the entire menu is sensibly priced. Well worth a try!

Stopped here while visiting from Australia. Well decorated and in a good location for Bexhill. Coffee and fry up were average. cannot comment on the other items on the menu. We did not feel very welcomed by the male running the cafe on the day of our visit as he came across a bit rude. Not a negative experience but unsure we would visit again.

We wanted to get breakfast and this one caught my eye. Usually a place that does multiple different cuisines are a red flag as it stated breakfast/burger/curry on the sign despite being called Coffee & Co. In all fairness, the service was ok and interior and exterior decor looked modern and almost hipster. Sadly the coffee was average at best but food was satisfactory despite having cofee in the name. I think the owner doesn’t quite know what the theme of the place is yet. I would not call this a coffee specialist place because the coffee is simply not up to scratch but if they called it something else then perhaps it wouldn’t seem so bad. The furnishings inside could do with a bit more thought though. Random books with no real central theme although most are travelling related, fantastic beast book and few others looked like they were there just to fill the place. The iron man trophies looked very out of place and so did the kebab shop chiller for the cold drinks at the back. In all, I would say it’s one of the better place to eat but would not come specifically for coffee. Cannot comment on the curry or burger but I would think perhaps concentrating on doing one cuisine may bode well. This was the response from the owner; Wow you clearly have too much time in your hand. Anyways thank you for your feedback :) Insulting a reviewer? Lose one star.

My first visit here. Very impressed with the quality and the service is great. Staff actually smiling! Overall great experience and I think this will be my new regular spot. The strawberry smoothie was particularly good. I even enquired about having something that wasn't on the menu and they happily accommodated me. Faultless.

Have had lunch here twice now, we came back because our first experience was so good and I'm pleased to say, this visit has been as good as the first one. The food is excellent, the staff are very friendly, which makes it a good place to go.

Came in cold and hungry with no expectations. In Bexhill getting food out can be a flip of a coin. Today it was heads! The Biryani and onion bhaji was amazing and I haven't had a Desi Chai as good as this one since Malaysia. Thank you so much!
