Denzil's Pasty in Plymouth

My mother had a delicious muffin which she really loved and I had a cheese and ham toasty and they added fresh tomatoes upon my request and the toasty was perfect. The best surprise was the bill, it was much cheaper than I expected in fact I even showed it to my mother. Thank you so much for a lovely meal.

This was the driest pasty I have ever had. The pastry was do hard. Artisan your having a laugh......

Amazing pasties, the best in Plymouth as far as I'm concerned. Great service too and all at a great price. This is my go to shop for pasties now!

Tried denzils for the first time today and it was delicious!, the lady that served us was so friendly and the steak and Stilton pasty was so nice, piping hot will definitely be buying from there again!

Sunday's errands lead me to this wonderful little pasty shop, tucked away next to tesco on transit way. The coffee gives me the will to carry on. The pasty I ordered was fresh out the oven, the smell was fantastic. The flavour is just what I needed to get me through the rest of the wet Sunday. Cant recommend this place enough I'll definitely be coming back.

Service was good with friendly staff. I had a hot chocolate and it was delicious made with Cadbury. Always a winner with me. Thumbs up

Despite not being officially open, which I wasn't aware of, the lady (who I assume runs the cafe) was more than happy to serve me with fantastic friendly customer service. I only ordered a latte to go, but was a delicious one to say the least! Will definitely go back next time I am in the area and recommend it to friends and family.

Great staff selling very poor product . Very tiny quantities of filling for a large steak pasty. It looked like a vegetarian option

Wow what can I say. Bought some pasties from Denzels and they are the best pasties in Plymouth by far. We had a Steak and Stilton, a pork and apple and a chicken and chorizo pasties and they are amazing and worth the money.

A small quaint pasty shop, serving an adequate selection of pasties, drinks and cakes. Well priced and a hub of the local community, best to grab a pasty, coffee and just watch the world go by. The staff are always welcoming and polite. Pasties are exquisite and full of flavor and always leave you satisfied. Cant recommend it enough

We’ve just picked up a couple of veggie pasties from Denzil’s at Transit Way. Never had them before but will definitely have them again! Both the cheese and onion, and the mozzarella and tomato pasties were really tasty. The service was also friendly and helpful as I checked ingredients because of my food allergies.

Went into Plymouth today and bought a pasty from the corner shop. It was one of the best steak pasties I have had. Not too much meat and a great crust to hold. Will be looking out for these again

Went to denzils brilliant food and service the taste of the food is amazing this is a place I would recommend to people travelling by or just wanting to have something nice to eat. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND

Ok, we have popped in for takeaway coffee quite a few times now and as coffee lovers we can confidently say the coffee is superb. Today it was close to lunch so I suggested we grab a pasty. WOW! The BEST pasty I have ever had. Pastry was sublime. Light and full of taste. The filling was tender, cooked to perfection (I could take a little more pepper). I could not fault my lunch in any way. I want to believe countless hours were spent perfecting the pasty sold here. It certainly tastes like it. There is something to be said for a local business. Superb product and service from a guy who really cares about both. Thanks from Mr & Mrs Gingerbread Latte and Decaf Americano 😁

Had pasties here before and they are the best in Plymouth . Just tried the jacket spuds , loads of toppings to chose from and all I can say is "brilliant". The staff are friendly too and nothing is too much trouble . 10/10. Definitely have lunch here again.

I’m currently having a caramel latte and I have to say it’s better than Costa! I normally don’t try lattes anywhere else but today I am and it’s delicious. The staff are also very friendly and welcoming too. I shall be a regular here! As u can see I’ve nearly finished the latte!!!

Julie makes an excellent coffee with a contagious smile and goes above and beyond. Wonderful locally cooked pasties. Great ambiance and cleanliness. Very good value for money. Highly recommend. Five stars. Will return soon.

Best pasty I've ever had , amazing

Popped in for a spot of lunch, and the guy was really friendly, and was clearly really proud of his food - and for good reason! I had a chicken and chorizo pasty, and it tasted like it had just come out of the oven. Highly recommended!

Such a friendly place, excellent customer service, delicious cake and perfect strong coffee, just what I asked for. Didn't have a pasty this time, they all looked very tempting though, so may have trouble deciding which ones to try next time.

Genuinely some of the best pasties I have ever tasted....and for a Janner that says a lot. Steak and cheese and the Steak and stout were amazing. The pastry needs a mention too. Such a friendly place and great service, the kids were made really welcome and my son said it tasted better than a Victory Royale....whatever that means 😉 Deffo coming back soon. Spot on.

Tried a pasty today .pastry too flaky ,crust too thick and not enough filling . A good pasty should be full and the pastry stretched over the top with a small crimp , well, a Cornish one is !

We often get pasties and paninis from here, I get the gluten free food. Today, Tues 6th Nov 2018, my husband went to buy food and chatted to the staff. A customer, got up from his table, took his cup to the counter, complained loudly that there was too much noise in the shop and then stood in the doorway still moaning. A customer told him that if he didn't like friendliness to go somewhere else. The staff were very polite, apologised to the other customers. I cannot rate this shop highly enough.

First time I visit this lovely little pasty shop and it lovely. Pasty was amazing 10/10 it taste like my nan used to make ,proper meat every bite was lovely than the last light not to heavy pasty Seasoned lovely, and not to heavy to eat. I would fully recommend anyone to try it. #conishpastylover

In one of the small shop units to the right of the entrance of the big hypermarket on the Transit Way retail estate. Clean bright pleasant and friendly. Good selection of variously filled pasties and some sausage rolls, possibly more. Averagely priced. The cheese and onion pasty I had this morning was hot, reasonably seasoned, with an average pastry crimp so the proportion of filling to pastry wasn’t bad. But the pastry is quite flakey, leaves greasy marks on your hands and is a bit flexible and tricky to eat unless you keep it in the bag right till the end or (although it’s unlikely unless you use a table in the shop) eat it off a plate with a knife and fork. This business has been here for about three months, operated elsewhere before setting up the shop and is generally regarded as producing quality authentic regional pasties. I wouldn’t turn one away but personally prefer a shorter pastry which maintains a practical holdable structure.

I have now been to their pasty shop located in the Tesco's complex in Transit Way, Plymouth. In short this is a great place to sit and have a delicious pasty and their coffee's are great too. I highly recommend this place for quality pasty's and refreshments.
