This really ruined the experience, especially since I was looking forward to a hot meal. I hope the restaurant or delivery service improves their timing and packaging to keep food warm. Won't be ordering again unless things change."

I feel like I was mugged. The quality has gone very downhill. Lamb shish meat and salad tasted gone off, chicken donner meat was very dry and tasted like cardboard & they added rice to the large mixed kebab to try to hide that the meat is a lot less.

I’ve been so disappointed with other local fish & chip deliveries where a ‘large’ cod is absolutely tiny, but the large cod from Dennis’ Chippy is HUGE! It was so big it overhung the plate by around 3” both sides. It was so big I had to FaceTime my equally glutinous friend to give him cod envy. The chips were also generous but did have a higher percentage of ‘bits’ vs whole chips than I’d have ideally liked… very tasty though. I’ll be ordering from here going forwards.

Food quality was absolutely abysmal, the burger buns were stale, and overcooked, the burgers were overcooked and rock-hard, and the chips I ordered were stale, hard, and not edible. I have contacted Just Eat for a refund,and I will avoid this place.

Once again did not disappoint! lovely Huge portions.. Cod was delicious with crispy batter and lovely fresh cooked chips.. Always arrives hot and delivery was early. Got large Cod n chips and battered sausage. Fed me and 2 kids. Perfect as always 👌🏼

First time getting from here and will definitely order again.. My usual chippy wasn't taking orders so tried this place. Got cod and chips and it was delicious.. Was fresh and still hot.. lovely huge piece of fish with amazing crispy batter and perfect chips. honestly.. this may be my new go to for fish n chips. 10/10 Also got sausage in batter but the batter was not so crispy.. wasn't keen on the sausage but if u could get it like the batter that was on the fish it would be amazing..

The customer service was absolutely brilliant. We initially weren’t happy with our order as what we received was wrong, however with no problem at all - the restaurant replaced the item as a gesture of goodwill. Not many places will do such a thing.

Food was nasty. We normally order here but the last couple of times haven’t been great. Today was the worse.

Pedí pescado y patatas fritas y las porciones de un kebab eran vastas, tendría un pescado y patatas fritas para dos personas. Salsa de curry espesa y sombría, guisantes mushy ok. Tuve que construir kebab yo mismo, pitta no cocinado y recipiente de papel de aluminio seco con ensalada de carne en un recipiente de plástico y dos pequeños recipientes de salsa de chile y salsa de ajo. No me preguntaron qué salsas quería o ensalada y simplemente me dieron todo en una bolsa a pesar de que estaba allí esperando durante veinte minutos, así que pescado con papas fritas bueno pero vasto, kebab seco y diy, no vivo en Londres, así que me sorprendió un poco en £ 40 billete, yo pedí porciones medianas.

Delicious Cod and Chips, came hot and in decent time.

Usually i would have enjoyed the donner meat but today it is dry an stringy.. im not happy..

Food was over cooked and burnt, such a shame after reading other reviews, I won't be ordering again.

food was Luke warm, fish had lots of bones and considering it was kids meals I'd expect maybe one or two but not the 8-10 plus and the sausages were overcooked

The sausage in batter was rock hard inedible and the chips were cold and like cardboard also inedible. It’s like they had been sitting there since the morning. Disappointed as they use to be a great chip shop.

Was very disappointed! The cod fish was hard, crispy and very cold. Couldn't use a knife to cut the fish, tore it apart with hands and the batter came apart in 2 whole pieces. The saveloy was very cold and had no taste. The only good part of the meal was the chips. it was delicious

food is OK and fish is cheaper than some. but to call it a LARGE rock was definitely stretching it.

Awful. Usually think the food is really good and well priced, been ordering from Dennis for years. It’s been terrible a lot recently. Don’t think I’ll come back - portions have decreased and meat is extremely poor.

Disappointed sadly! Chips were dry and tasted very bland and my cod was also dry with rubbery batter.

Food was 45 minutes late. Fish was lukewarm but nice however chips were too hard and crunchy. Not the usual standard unfortunately

Everything was nice apart from the sausages. They were not nice at all

Delivery time was good, food was warm not hot but daughter refused to eat chicken nuggets. Chicken Shish was ok, bread was soggy & chilli sauce didn’t have much flavour. Definitely had better from here.

Ordered mix doner. Sausage batter and chips arrived just over a hour after placing order but was within the time frame given all food arrived hot kebab was very tasty and fresh and not greasy as could tell from the pitta underneath as not soggy chips was also fresh really enjoyed all the food have orderd before and will definitely be again thank you.

Food was way over cooked and dry and a kebab with no greese is unheard of. Defo not ordering from them again. Sad thing is they used to be really good quality an now has just gone downhill

I haven't had ordered anything since April, yesterday we fancied a kebab so I thought I'd hit my favorite place today.. food was on point as always. I'm so stuffed. The chips was a little on the overcooked side but was still nice. Lovely little platter more than enough for 3 of us. Keep up the great work. Thank you

Ive ordered from here many times… the portions have got smaller it’s 13 pound for mixed donner meat and the box to be half filled and the meat was cold and stiff…

Chips where over cooked and hard pie was sunken on n not fresh had no filling in the middle and the man wants to row with me telling me it's fresh! 1st time I ordered from there n the last ! I'm paying fir fresh foid I expect it to be fresh not sunken in with no filling n concrete chips not happy

Waited over an hour because shop was bust. Chips were cold, all hard chips like they'd been there for days. Fish batter was over cooked that was hard aswell my partner couldn't eat it. All food was hard. Normally good quality from this place. Bit disappointed

There was a fly in the paper my food was wrapped in. This was very disappointing and I couldn’t eat my food due to a loss of appetite. Very appalling

We order regularly from here, but this order was shocking…. Fish was dripping with oil & large chips were more like a kids portion, small is an understatement & were soggy & completely inedible, it’s a shame as I’m a big fan of Dennis chippy, not sure what went wrong with this order!

Tastiest mixed kebabs on the planet. All the meats are succulent and really tasty, the salad is lovely and the portions are great. Highly recommended.

Pitta Bread has changed or was overcooked with my kebab today. It tasted like cardboard. I have sensory issues and had to go Keto!

Chips were part of an old batch and the cheese on top was different to what's usually used and tasted horrible. I threw it away after a few mouthfuls. Very surpised because I've always rated the food here. Must have been a bad day.

A good and tasty portion of fish and chips ..the chicken doner was slightly dry, but the salad being very fresh helped ... Good chilli sauce too

Nice fish. But don't know why but they don't send salt and vinegar with the fish and chips.

They have never failed us, Everything is always on point.

The bloke I spoke to was very helpful, but his manager is awful! A large piece of Rock (@ £10) was about the size of a smartphone, and overcooked. Chips had loads of burnt chips in the portion; and the manager didn't even get on the phone, when I complained. WORSE £20 I'VE EVER SPENT!!!

I haven't ordered a kebab platter in a while, thought I'd get one today, the restaurant service is on point, as always however todays donner meat was slightly on the burnt side, the rice was a little oily, and the chips were a bit on the hard side. The chicken donner was nice, the chicken skewer was nice and the lamb skewer was nice too... the pitta bread was nice.. chilli sauce niiice, salad nice.. Not 100 percent satisfied today I'm afraid.. but it was still nice so thank you. I will be ordering again sometime.

Delivery was missing a fish but once I called they arranged for the fish and a portion of chips to be delivered. Really pleased with the service to help right the mistake and food was delivered hot and fresh.
