We had a really lovely stay here. It’s a great location if you want a quieter hotel. The breakfast was great, loads of choice and really tasty. We also ate one evening and that was really nice. The swimming pool was a great addition. The only Slightly negative was our room was a little cold. We had plug in heaters but didn’t like them left in overnight as the plug was getting hot, and we only had 3 plug sockets in the whole room, non by the bed. The staff were all really helpful and friendly too. Would def stay back.

We opted to stay out of the city to have use of a pool, sauna and steam room. For the price of a few taxi rides into town it was worth it. The room was comfortable and had some great views overlooking the gardens and race course. We had breakfast over the road at cafe no.12 as it was much better value than the hotel, it was quality food. Get a better restaurant and this place would be perfect.

Stayed in January and the room was 13 degrees when we arrived, and took 3 hours to reach a nippy 18 degrees. The communal areas and pool area walere as cold, we were clenched with cold for most of our stay. Otherwise pleasant enough. Please put on your heating! It's a mean gesture not to!

A fantastic stay at the Marriot in York. A return trip and again it did not disappoint. We parked easily and had the city to explore. The breakfast and room were perfect for our family and the spa and pool which is brilliantly managed by the pleasant and super helpful Alex was the highlight.

Went on a week vacation to explore York. The room was lovely, clean, hot water, shampoos towels, coffee and tea selection was very good too. Reception and housekeeping staff were very polite. Housekeeping did an amazing job, made sure that we have everything we needed! Thanks a lot. Had dinner at the restaurant in the hotel in only once and a few times with room service, and it was mostly decent. I would say the hotel has a lot of potential as someone who worked in the customer service business. I would say the only downside is the pool, jacuzzi, and sauna room. It's a great idea but maybe if it wasn't occupied all the time by everyone! It's great to have access to those facilities, but maybe think of providing more privacy and consider the different cultures and values of people by providing even limited time 30-1hr private time in the sauna or jacuzzi. I am sure people will love it! That's again just a suggestion! Otherwise, it was a lovely place, and I did enjoy everything else.

Nice place, with friendly staff. Aout a 20 minute walk into York centre, and not far from the racecourse. There are busses you can catch over the road from hotel into the centre. Spa facilities good, would recommend taking a bottle of drinking water for the sauna/steam room as there isn't a water cooler/ tap in the pool area. Would stay again!

Not impressed with our stay, Firstly you arrive and immediately get charged an extra £7 per night to park your car, which isn't mentioned when you book, the food is overpriced and breakfast is very average. We get to out room, cupboard doors are falling off and electrical sockets are faulty. The shower is very poor and has barely any power. We also complained to staff about other customers smoking cannabis in their room and the smell was coming into our room, no action was taken by the staff other than spraying febreeze. For anyone visiting York, choose any hotel other than this one.

I stayed at the sweet room Delta Hotel in York, UK, On the night of our arrival, we handed over our laundry to the front desk for express service which was supposed to be ready by the next evening. However, by the time we checked out, we still hadn’t received our clothes. We were expecting to wear those clothes during our trip, and this situation put us in a very difficult position. What made it worse was that they didn’t even apologize. They just said "I don't know.." I entrusted my laundry to the hotel because I trusted they would take responsibility and return it properly. If they were going to lose the clothes, why did they put the laundry bags in the room??

I recently stayed at the Delta Hotels by Marriott in York, and my overall impression was a mix of positives and negatives. The Good: Sauna and Steam Room: I thoroughly enjoyed the sauna and steam room. They were relaxing and well-maintained. Dinner at the Restaurant: The food was good, and the portions were generous. However, there weren’t many options for vegetarians or vegans. The Not-So-Good: Jacuzzi Disappointment: The jacuzzi was a letdown. It was inconsistent, turning on and off, and the bubbles only came from the bottom. I’m used to jacuzzis with back massage bubbles, so this was disappointing. Room Condition: While the hotel room was a good size and well-equipped, it was a bit dusty. I noticed dust on the radiator cabinets and windows. Noisy Night: Something incredibly loud disturbed my sleep during the night, making it difficult to rest. Overall Verdict: Despite the drawbacks, my stay was decent. However, considering the price, I expected more. If you’re looking for a convenient location near York’s attractions, the Delta Hotels by Marriott might be worth considering, but manage your expectations.

Beware of payments - ASK FOR CONFIRMATION Our stay at the hotel was nice. The rooms were comfortable but very hot. The air conditioning was not cold and the window did not open enough to let air in. There was also some form of engine that was incredible loud so we could not keep the window open when we needed to rest or sleep. The pool was nice and the gym well equipped. My disappointment came later when I got charged twice for my room (plus a £213 hold in my card - so a total of £546 for one night). They first charged me when I arrived and on departure. I thought the first one would just have been a hold but no, it turned out I got three charges on my card. On the day, they never told me the payment did not go through but they claim now it shows in their system as 'cancelled'. I have had to make a claim with my bank which will need to do the dispute on my behalf. They did release the hold on my card, but I am still owed £170. I talked to the manager to get a written proof of this 'cancellation' and what she was claiming, but still have not received the email she promised. They had problems with the systems when I arrived, so please get confirmation or receipts of any payments you make in the moment. Safe is to say, I am never coming back!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Me and my boyfriend booked to stay for 3 nights. Parking costs £7 a day which isn’t advertised anywhere on their website! Our first room consisted of 2 single beds pushed together with 2 separate mattresses. The whole room is very dated. We went to reception and asked if this was standard as the photos on the website show one mattress on all beds. They got us another room which had no air con and 3 out of 4 lights not working. The safe was also locked shut. It took them over half an hour to bring a fan to our room and said there is no air con in any rooms despite the first room having it! It’s also extortionate prices for food and drink at their bar. We have ended up getting it refunded and going to the Holiday Inn York 5 mins down the road instead. Here we have working air con, a bigger fresher room and the on site bar is a decent price. They accommodated us last minute for a cheaper price whilst giving us more- even free drinks vouchers! Save your money and book the holiday inn

The A/C was/is not working and it is only blowing hot air. It was informed at the reception a couple of times but no action. Then the solution given was a couple ice buckets and to open the window. But the window could only be open for about 10cm, so no big help. After not being too satisfied with this solution as the room was boiling the receptionist managed to find a mobile A/C. For the check out I was supposed to get the invoice via email, but never got it, weird as being a member of marriott they system has all my data. Looking on the bright side, the host for the breakfast was a very attentive, and hospitable lady from Portugal. The hotel is well connected with a bus stop nearby that takes you to the city center in about 15-20mins for 2 pounds

Me and my partner booked the superior room at this hotel as a nice little getaway between our birthdays. We were really looking forward to our visit as this would've been a nice fancy stay for us. We were not informed prior to booking that we would need to pay for parking nor the price of parking for the duration of our stay. Additionally, there were multiple problems with the room itself such as; the main heating in the room did not work and was instead replaced with 2 plug-in heaters, there were mechanical noises (we assumed from the lift) all night which made sleeping very difficult, the turn lock on the main door did not work and we had to just use the chain lock. As well as the above, the window was very drafty and couldn't be properly closed and was held into the window frame with tape. We were told at check in that there would be scaffolding outside some of the rooms however, it was not specified that our room would have the scaffolding outside which meant we had to keep the curtains closed during the day so that any workers could not see into our room. We also couldn't see what program was playing on the TV and it only showed which channel was playing, very frustrating when trying to find something to watch to drown out the aforementioned noises. We were encouraged to have the daily turndown service which we did not receive and we had to ask the front desk for fresh towels at least twice. We very much enjoyed using the leisure facilities however these were also not without their problems. The changing rooms weren't the cleanest and there were no changing cubicles, one of the showers by the pool did not work and the other was held together with tape. The general pool area itself needed to be cleaned more often and the pool had gravel/ sand in the corners. The stay was decent and the bed was very comfortable, the staff were nice and did apologise for the lack of turndown service and promptly brought us fresh towels. Not the best value for money in our opinion and was advertised as much better than what we received. Would not say this worth our money of £303.

I signed a one-month co-working office space contract with Regus at York Tower Court with the contractual understanding that I would be able to park my vehicle every day without incurring charges. I have since however received dozens of parking charge notices from Ardpark, totalling in thousands of pounds worth of charges. I have been trying to dispute these charges with both ArdPark and Regus as my contract states that I should not be liable, but the parking company continues to harrass me and send debt collectors chasing the money. Both companies claim the other is at fault, meanwhile I am left holding the bag. I am having to get York Council and the local courts involved to resolve this shambles and my family has suffered a great deal of intimidation and harrassment at the hands of this predatory parking company. I expect Regus to resolve this matter for me but it has been 2 months now without resolution.
