Deliciously Gorgeous in Eastbourne

Enjoyed a great afternoon tea in a delightful friendly cafe with great staff and comfortable surroundings. Food was fresh and tasty beautifully served. Great way to top off a seaside walk. We booked but it had tables for walk ins and the regular drinks and cakes looked equally good.

Slow witted staff couldn't get 2 cups of tea right had to wait ages.. Then one was cold... And the place was empty I wonder why

Went with friends for Afternoon cream tea . This was the best one I have ever had ,the sandwiches all lovely filings ,bread so fresh with crust cut of ,6 quarters each . Salad Then scone jam clotted cream Fresh moist lemon cake Millionaires shortbread 2 small chocolates in a box This was all per person Every thing so fresh tasty. We asked for a box as could not eat all. And just sat and ate my lemon cake and shortcake for my lunch. The cafe is kept spotless clean ,and the staff very polite and helpful. I will def return when visiting Eastbourne. Thankyou for a perfect afternoon with friends

Came here for a business meeting today 16 February. I must say that Kiara looked after us so well. Her attention to detail making sure we are OK and if we needed anything else was out of this world. She is an asset to have working for a lovely place like this.All other staff were fantastic as well. Will defiantly come back for more meetings here. Well done

On our way back to London we booked a Tea for Two @ Deliciously Gorgeous. I have to say it was great, food fresh and extremely yummy (best lemon drizzle ever according to my wife) Great choice of teas and coffees, ambient atmosphere, and very nice décor. Staff very helpful and attentive you can see they are taking pride and care of what they do. If you visit Eastbourne this is the excellent place for tea/coffee, breakfast, or quick lunch. Everything fresh and not unexpensive. My advice not to use any vouchers just visit or book directly for the best deal. Please note that service charge is not added to the bill, discreet jar at the counter for well deserve gratuities.

I went to Deliciously Gorgeous for my baby shower and was so impressed. From the initial booking enquiry to setting up the space, the staff could not have been MORE helpful, accommodating, and fantastic. The food and drinks were delicious as always, with plenty of options available for the entire party. Beautifully decorated and well-kept interior, spacious, and would highly recommend to anyone. When you go for Afternoon Tea you never quite know how enjoyable it will be, well the Afternoon Tea at Deliciously Gorgeous was Deliciously Gorgeous. The welcome and service was both exceptional and friendly, the food was fresh, tasty and plentiful and the two drink idea was unique and brilliant. The afternoon tea is one of the best I’ve eaten. Super fresh sandwiches with lots of choices and a lot of salad, served with scones, petit fours and a couple of cakes and a choice of drinks which you can have 2. Very lovely helpful staff too, love coming here.

We had an amazing afternoon tea here, the sandwich fillings were just right, the cakes and scones were lovely and fresh. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was just delicious. This place is such a busy tea room/cafe, my friend and I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea today, super fresh sandwiches and cakes and really friendly service, we had a lovely table. Definitely recommend a visit here if you come to Eastbourne

99.9% certain we are the couple mentioned in the previous review. Yes, we waited just over 45 minutes for our meal. Yes, my veg tart looked and tasted as though it had caught fire on one side, and was barely warm in the middle. However, things do go wrong in any business. The manager listened very attentively to everything my husband and I said, refunded the whole meal, offered us free drinks if we’d like to go back. (Couldn’t take him up on that as only in the town for a couple of hours.) He stayed calm and pleasant, took responsibility for the problem which had occurred, and explained the situation behind the scenes. The woman behind the counter also dealt well with us despite being clearly stressed. As I said, things can go wrong in any business: this manager set an excellent example of how to handle a complaint.

Went to deliciously gorgeous today at lunchtime, can honestly say this was the worst cafe I've ever been to, ordered two coffees one was acceptable the other stone cold and weak. Then we ordered two sandwiches, 40 minutes later we were still waiting, went to complain the chef came running up the stairs waving her arms about and asking us to leave because we complained we said okay but refund us first then the manger came down set 40 minute wait was acceptable could not believe what I heard so we left all the stuff where arrogant and rude. It wasn't just us another couple waited 45 minutes for their food when it arrived it was completely charred and was inedible. No Apologies or anything not agood way to run a cafe

Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo of the beautifully presented, and delicious! afternoon tea that we enjoyed today. From the generously filled sandwiches to the scone and cakes, everything was freshly made. A refreshing salad garnish and the fresh strawberries, together with the mini boxes of chocolates elevated this to a higher level than normal afternoon teas. There was so much that the little take away boxes they provided were crammed full. We look forward to going again next time we are in Eastbourne.

Spent a lovely afternoon here at a wedding reception of afternoon tea. The atmosphere was really relaxed and casual. The room where it was held was bright and airy. The staff were lovely and attentive. The food! A lovely selection of sandwiches all freshly prepared and beautifully served. Thoroughly recommend if you want something more casual, uncomplicated and different.

The staff are polite & friendly & food good. The only problem is they don't seem very well organised as don't always have enough food for each day. They must know the kind of food stock they have & sell each day including those they can't fulfill on top to see they have enough stock in to include extra sales. So disappoint customers not being able to complete food orders. Plus there can be very long delays and waiting times between ordering to receiving the food.

It’s the second afternoon tea I’ve enjoyed in a month, absolutely delicious, service was really lovely and friendly. Food was fresh and so tasty and plenty of it, even a little glass of Prosecco was included and two hot drinks, such great value. Would recommend a visit here.

Wonderful afternoon tea this afternoon with my mum, and we were able to take my dog too. Service was amazing, and nothing was too much trouble. All staff were very friendly (Alfie loved all the attention he was given). The food was delicious, and the scones were so fresh and yummy. We were visiting the area and definitely wasn't disappointed. We would highly recommend visiting here.

My friend and I enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea today, they were very accommodating with where we wanted to sit, the tea itself was absolutely delicious, beautiful tasty sandwiches and great scones with plenty of jam and cream, lovely moist cakes and a couple of truffles, two lots of tea each, couldn’t fault it, will definitely be back.

Visited here for the first time using a Groupon deal for an Afternoon tea. Due to a problem with Groupons reservation details our booking had not gone through properly. However, the staff were very welcoming and Simon went above and beyond to help resolve this issue, which he did. We ate the most delicious afternoon tea ever! The food looked amazing and was so fresh and plentiful. Great choice of drinks too. We received a superb service throughout our visit. A wonderful experience and will definitely return when next in Eastbourne. Highly recommend.

Truly fantastic afternoon tea! We booked for a belated birthday celebration and were hosted by Jason. He was really attentive and couldn’t do enough to help us. The food was delicious and there was a great selection along with a wide range of drinks. This was by far the best afternoon tea we’ve had, so a huge thanks to everyone at Deliciously Gorgeous.

Lunch involved an inordinately long wait for food to arrive, the proprietor shouting unnecessarily at staff and a general atmosphere of depressing decline. Such a shame as it used to be so good. Many businesses are struggling at the moment, but much needs to be done to bring this place back to some level of glory.

Todo fresco y absolutamente delicioso.Los bollos eran absolutamente enormes y venían servidos con crema fresca y mermelada. Los bollos eran tan frescos y deliciosos, claramente horneados en el día. También tenían un ligero sabor a vainilla, haciéndolos un poco más especiales y diferentes a otros bollos que hemos probado antes.El personal fue muy amable y David no pudo hacer lo suficiente por nosotros.Ambiente encantador y, por supuesto, también tuvimos que conseguir algunas de sus trufas de caramelo saladas de chocolate antes de partir (lo mismo que las que obtienes con tus bebidas calientes aquí).Muy recomendable y los bollos son una necesidad absoluta. ¡Gracias David!

Ayer visité la cafetería con un amigo y pedimos un té con crema. Indudablemente, dije un poco tarde que somos estudiantes, por lo que la discordia ya no podría ser promovida. Entramos e inmediatamente nos cautivó la hermosa decoración, el nivel del entrepiso es tan encantador. Entré con mis dos hijos y mi mamá. Yo y los niños somos intolerantes a los lácteos, así que al ver que tenían un menú completo de comida vegana, nos sorprendió. Nos sentamos (tomamos algunas selfies) y miramos el menú en el que fuimos por dos tazas de té descafeinado, un bollo vegano y una rebanada de pastel de chocolate y naranja. Es el único lugar en el que hemos estado con un estante entero de pasteles veganos, normalmente tenemos la opción de uno en otros lugares, así que fue un verdadero placer. Cuando llegó la comida / bebidas, el bollo era ENORME y nos dieron una gran porción de tarta y. . . Bombones gratis. . . Todo fue absolutamente divino y el personal fue muy amable y educado y servicial. Los baños están abajo y muy agradable y limpio.Quiero decir, ¿podría este lugar mejorar? Absolutamente no es increíble y no puedo recomendarlo lo suficiente, hemos vuelto dos veces desde entonces y ahora es nuestro momento cuando queremos algo delicioso:) gracias:)

Fabulous coffee and truffle that comes with it... Good selection of light lunches, sandwiches, the best coronation chicken and cakes. Not to be missed if you have popped into town and need refreshment. Friendly staff.

Nice, clean premises with more room than you might expect. Most of the staff are from other EU countries. The ice creams and sorbets are very good. There are tasty cakes, including vegan ones. Sitting at one of the pavement tables used to be rather a Parisian style experience before the council felled the huge, mature trees that lined Cornfield Road on both sides. There was one of these (elms?) quite close to this café. My partner mourns its demise, along with the rest of the huge, mature trees we used to have in central Eastbourne until last autumn.

Popped in for a business breakfast and Wow what a find! Scones fresh from the oven served warm & the best coffee outside of London. Added bonus they cater to vegans so will be going back & taking my Son.

I visited this afternoon with a friend and we were both so impressed with the choice of food (especially cake) and drinks! The coffee was perfect and the cake and scone were up there with the best we have had (we visit a lot of coffee shops)!!! We were given a chocolate with our drinks! They have a large selection of individual chocolates that you can buy to take away!! The staff are super friendly and helpful and the interior is beautiful and well looked after. It was also very clean. Definitely somewhere we will go back to and would recommend.

Stopped here for a quick lunch pit stop with my best friend. We both had latte and the vegan bruschetta sandwich on granary bread. Lovely coffee came with a truffle chocolate ( yummy!) and then a lovely freshly made sandwich with fresh fragrant ingredients which were extremely tasty! Good for a coffee and a snack when in Eastbourne. Well located in the town centre. Seating on two floors and the service is good but car parking in the area can be difficult due to roadworks. A good variety of things to eat and very good coffee.

First impression was not good, a young, surly blonde waitress, who looked like she couldn’t be bothered and was too busy on her phone, looked at us like we were an inconvenience. We decided not to bother and we left and went somewhere else.

I visited today with my mum and sisters as a birthday treat. Really pleased with the veggie/vegan selection (and quality) and the service was great from start to finish. We had sandwiches, cake , coffee, tea and all was fabulous.

This place is definitely the nicest cafe I’ve been to in the UK. Best coffee I’ve ever had in an English coffee shop! Forget the likes of Costa, Nero, Starbucks. This is the genuine article they serve the best coffee outside of Italy the owner has taken special pride in selecting and personally mixing the coffee with his supplier, producing there own signature brand. And apparently they are going to be selling packets of it in the future which I shall definitely be a customer for. Great service, great food, amazing coffee. What else can I say, don’t miss out on this hidden gem whilst you’re visiting Eastbourne it should be one of the top 10 things to do while you’re here.

Stopped in for a late lunch today and was delighted by the range of vegan food. I opted for the bruschetta and wasn’t disappointed lots of refreshing flavour on scrummy grilled bread, I could have eaten it twice. Good decaf coffee to.

I can not recommend David, Agnes and thier team enough down at deliciously gorgeous! They helped me to throw the most amazing baby shower for my sister and they went above and beyond to make everything so perfect for us. With around 15 people coming on the day, everyone left so pleased and happy and this was made so much easier by the brilliant customer service and outstanding food ( everyone loved the afternoon tea spread!!!) I am so pleased I chose you guys for such an amazing day that everyone will remember!!! Thank you sooooo much!!! If your looking to hold an event, i wouldn’t think twice about contacting the DG team!!!

Another visit and another triumph of taste! Service with a smile and great food. Good selection on the menu for both food and drink. A little oasis just round the corner from the centre and a haven for a bit of piece and quiet.

What can i say. No complaints what so ever. My wife had a smoked salmon board i had the tuna mayo salad. Great food and an ice coffee as good as my Cypriot friends make. Wonderful staff and owner. Definitely one to revisit.

Well what a lovely spread they put on for us today! Sandwiches were varied and fresh, scones were vegan (a first for me) the cakes were lovely, varied and fresh, we also had a truffle (to die for) and a chocolate and I had Peppermint tea. The staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble, they really looked after us. Group of 12 ladies with very discerning taste. Even took home a doggy bag for the hubby and he was well chuffed. This is one of our holiday eating places, for mid- day snacks. The staff are very helpful and the chocolates are very tempting. Forget diets and just do a bit more walking if you're worried about scoffing the chocolates. We sat outside and watched the world go by. There are several tables and no wasps (in May). This is a lovely place just off the main shopping centre. You cant miss it. Pink paint everywhere. Give it a try.

Staff are friendly and welcoming. The food portions are generous with vegan options which are very tasty! Will definitely visit again.

Whilst they don't make a bit fuss about offering vegan options they can't do enough to accommodate. When I asked for an ice cream (at least 5 flavours at the moment - salted caramel was amazing), they offered to show me the box that the cones came in to make sure I was absolutely happy with them, choice of wafer cone or sugar cone.

Best hot chocolate in town!!!! Also great for sandwiches and salads! Lovely cafe near the centre of town and great for picking up some extra choccies to take home!

Come here regularly on my lunch break. Amazing soup, cake, tasty drinks, great staff. Vegan options for lunch, drinks, cakes and chocolates.

We attended with friends who live nearby. Very nice seating area and tasty food and drink. Friendly staff and good value for money.
