Delicious Pho in Tower Hamlets

Nothing special - broiled chicken, not very flavourful. When asking for the bill just presented with the card machine with service charge added. Won’t return….

Great Pad thai - quick service and food delivery. Catered for gluten free option. Bubble tea was great too.

I was meeting a friend, and afterwards needed to do a project on my laptop (and they have free Wifi). I stayed 3 hours, but they didn't complain! The prices were reasonable, and the food was better than I expected (I had the Tofu vermicelli bowl). The noise level from the kitchen was sometimes loud, but the music was at a pleasantly low volume. I will remember to come back if I'm ever near Spitalfields.

We arrived at a busy lunchtime so were only offered the ‘take away’ seating area. Not a particularly friendly welcome, but at least there was enough space. Service was swift but impersonal - no eye contact. Food itself was just okay (surprisingly bland), especially considering the high prices. No real reason for a return visit.

Went here for tea when in London, Both had starter- I had tofu and veg spring rolls and had nice 4 rice paper rolls with DELICIOUS sauce! Generous and tasty. Partner has tempura prawns and was good, but dip was not really for dipping, too much texture! Main we both opted for the beef noodle broth- MASSIVE bowl for a medium after choice of that and large, couldn’t eat it all! I really enjoyed it but as meat was quite fatty he didn’t rate it. It just fell apart was lovely to me! Just didn’t eat the fat. I had an alcoholic mango cocktail and was so good!!! Only thing I found it they did a small main but didn’t advertise it on menu!! Bit annoyed at that, but overall was good.

Restaurant to go in a hurry or without expectations. Portions are generous but the quality is not the best one. My noodles were hot but chicken was very cold.

De Oosterse keuken heeft blijkbaar vele fastfood restaurants verdrongen in het Londense straatbeeld. Het aantal Vietnamese eethuizen zijn niet meer te tellen. Op zich niet erg daar de meeste een goede tot zeer goede kwaliteit bieden in vergelijking met de rest van Europa. Een ontwikkeling die ik graag ook bij ons zou zien. Op het eerste zicht zou je door de grootte van deze zaak kunnen twijfelen, maar eens je hier gegeten hebt blijkt enige bedenking overbodig. We kozen voor een lichte lunch met summer rolls (tofu/avocado), de mango-salade met garnalen en de gefrituurde inktvis. En omdat we nu eenmaal houden van Vietnamese Koffie over ijs, deze ook besteld. Na meerdere o verschillende plaatsen te hebben gedronken, bleek deze hier de beste te zijn. Vol van smaak en niet te zoet geserveerd op gebroken ijs. De drie bestelde gerechten waren perfect bereid en kreeg je de mogelijkheid (zoals de gewoonte voorziet in Vietnam) om uw gerechten bij te kruiden naar eigen smaak. Zelden zo lekkere gefrituurde inktvis gegeten. En dat voor geen geld. Fijne ontdekking.
