Went here the other day. The lad serving me was rude, in fact patronising making out as if I can’t speak English! Ordered a drink and he poured it into a glass and left it by the counter then carried on with his job. Food was otherwise not bad.

This place appears to have changed hands? The menu hasn’t changed but the name has and unfortunately the service appears to have changed for the worse. We ordered a pot of tea, 2 wraps and some cake. We were told there was a 20 minute wait for the wraps. The tea arrived with the cake fairly promptly, although with no milk. However, the wraps took approx 50 minutes to arrive and we had to go and ask how much longer they were going to be but I’d ordered a Mexican chicken wrap and a halloumi wrap arrived... the server said that’s what was written on the ticket (the same person who took the order). My partner started on his wrap which was falafel wrap only to discover cucumber inside even though he’d requested no cucumber when ordering! At this point we decided to leave it and got a full refund after some quibbling as at this point we had drunk the tea. It is a shame as the cafe does have a good look and feel and the cake looked good but the service unfortunately needs improvement. When we got a refund we were told they’d had a big order and I’m wondering if deliveroo orders are being prioritised over customers in the cafe? If trying to do both then you need a workable system so both types of customer are kept happy, and if you mess up then you need to be proactive in trying to sort it out. Something as simple as offering a top up to acknowledge the waiting time for food.

I visited Deli Flavour with my elderly mum and her elderly friend. The friend is one of the fussiest eaters I know and my mum, who is recovering from a major operation, had lost her appetite. Both my mother and her friend are still talking about the best sandwiches they've ever had. Well done Deli Flavour for giving my mum her appetite back. I'm pretty fussy myself being vegan and a stickler for quality food. My own sandwich was heavenly. I was so happy to see a good selection of vegan options and all really tasty. I was just a little sad that my sandwich was so filling that I didn't have room for one of their delicious looking vegan cakes. I'll just have to go back another time. Keep up the good work guys. Good selection of beers too. I bought several.

We ordered two £2.80 fresh orange juice's but when they came, they were completely filled with chunks of ice. It took me about a minute to drink the juice from mine, leaving a glass full of ice. I guess the glass was about 1/4 juice, and it was about a half-pint glass. When I walked over to my server and asked why my glass was filled with ice, she said " that's the way we always do it", to which I said "that's a rip-off".Instead of offering me a new glass, which I would have done if it was my café, she had the cheek to shout at me across the café for leaving my glass on a table in front of her full serving tray for her to pick-up.My girlfriend and I were furious. These guys will rip you off and then shout at you for asking why.

I found this cafe on a visit to my home town a few years ago when it was upstairs in the Silver Arcade. I came back this weekend as it stuck in my mind as a great place to eat. Since my last visit they have moved to the ground floor because of a hike in rent so the place is smaller than before but this makes the place nice and cosy and you can people watch whilst you eat! . Right at the top of the silver arcade is this great little cafe and delicatessen. The decor is a cross between vintage and bohemian shabby chique. The staff are pleasant and the food tasty. Mostly sandwiches, wraps and bagels with a variety of fillings. It is located in the glorious silver arcade but sadly only four of the thirty units are occupied. This wonderful city centre structure should be buzzing but either the rents are too high or the out of town shopping centres are draining the city centres of its clientele. Give them a visit. Cakes looked great but we resisted.

After battling the pre Christmas crowds, we were looking for somewhere to eat and purely by chance, we turned into the Silver Arcade, which looked quite desolate until we spotted the display board for the Deli Flavour and as a group of student looking people coming down the stairs, we decided we would investigate and climbed the two flights of stairs....so pleased we did. The Deli' is pleasantly laid out and the variety of foods and beers on display was totally inviting. We ordered the King Richard III Platter (see photo) to share plus coffee and a local beer, then sat at the large trestle table looking Silver Street & High Street. The platter was a good size to share, all most to big to eat on your own, with a good selection of local cheeses, plus stuffed peppers, vine leaves, olives and onions.Speaking with the owners of Deli Flavour, they may be moving the premises either down stairs to the ground floor or elsewhere in the city centre.A really super cafe that we were so pleased to have found.

It is hard to find on the second floor of the Silver Arcade, a deightful Victoruan building in the centre of town which looks to be recently renovated but is mostly empty.Furnished in anything that was handy at the time this deli/cafe offers a good range of sandwiches, salads and light snacks, and a pint if that's your fancy. Mine is good coffee, and it was. I also had the Stilton, walnut and grape salad which was lovely, served with a separate olive oil and balsamic vinigar dressing, and mixed greens. Delicious. I have visited this place a few times now, and every one of my visits have been very good. The decor is quirky and original and gives the whole restaurant a very quaint feel. There are also a variety of board games around and about in the restaurant that you are free to play with and use as you please which may be useful for some people to know if they've got little ones. The staff, especially the owner (who has served us twice now) are very helpful, and helped us pick out a very nice, smoky tea which was served in a different manner to anything I've seen before, which added to the whole quirkyness of the place. The food/coffee menu does not deviate from what you would expect from the usual, apart from some (local?) speciality teas, but it doesn't really need to. I have had one of the antipasti platters and one of the baguettes in my lunch time visits and on both of those occasions came out feeling satisfied and felt I had my monies worth in both taste and quantity. The 'help yourself' deli selection looks a little on the expensive side, and as such I haven't tried it, so can't comment on the quality. All in all this place was a good find and I would come here again and again.

We’ve been to Deli Flavour a couple of times for lunch on a Saturday and we’ve come to the conclusion that we’re a little underwhelmed by the place. Maybe it’s OK during the week when the adults are in attendance but on a Saturday the combination of sullen-too-cool-for-school staff, unwiped tables, unswept floors and lattes with boiled milk (schoolgirl error) make the fact it’s hardly the cheapest place for a spot of lunch a little hard to swallow. The plus points: great environment, admirable concept and the quality of the food is high (though the wife said her bagel was a bit dry round the edges last visit). The coffee is of reasonable quality too if you ignore the weedy froth (that’ll be boiling the milk kids) - once it’s cooled down enough for you to comfortably drink it of course. We shan’t bother again – there are better (and cheaper) places.

Excellent choice of high quality deli food, and a good place to get food products as gifts. In some ways I prefer the more cosy lay out of Deli Flavour's other branch, in the suburb of Stoneygate. The staff are friendly and courteous and willing to help and the food, some of which is award winning, is fresh, tasty and there is always a generous amount. They serve a great selection of drinks including fresh ground espresso coffee, loose leaf teas and speciality bottled beers and they have a great selection of deli items including meats, cheeses and chutneys amongst other things. For us the ambiance, great location and relaxed atmosphere gives you a quality unrushed setting to escape the busyness of modern life. It's child friendly and we regularly hold informal business meetings there when we visit the city. This isn't a Michelin star restaurant, it's a rustic, funky deli-cafe serving good quality wholesome food and drink, it has stylish reclaimed retro furniture (which the less cultured may think is dirty) but is not, the floors are distressed wood with marks (there for effect) but they certainly don't appear dirty. The owners have carefully selected the furniture and the decor to create a certain kind of experience, which in our opinion works, it has character and individuality, something most food and drinks establishments in Leicester sadly lack. This is a new business in Leicester city centre and new businesses need time to find their feet, there may have be teething problems with service initially but im sure these will be ironed out and in our experience we've had nothing but great service. I know from having worked in the industry how difficult it can be to provide great service all the time to everyone, people make mistakes from time to time (i like my people human & not robot), orders get missed at busy times especially when short staffed, reviewers please cut people a bit of slack and if you have a justifiable complaint make it to the staff at the time, I'm sure the they would welcome a chance to rectify the situation. All in all we highly recommend Deliflavour if you visit Leicester. My wife wanted to rate as excellent but im being a bit nicer and stretching to a fantastic:) Keep up the good work guys.

This is one of the best places in the city! A great relaxed place to meet friends or take a break from shopping! I always make time to stop off for cup of tea if I'm in town and it's also become a standard meeting place to meet a couple of friends when they're in town! The food and drinks are top drawer as are the friendly staff!Highly recommended!

But then my wife wanted to come in here. (She had yet to experience). Now I'll say it again and so does she. "I'll never come here again". The floor and tables are dirty, the it took a very long time to serve the food even though we just ordered bagles and a sandwich. The bagles were salty and not good at all and the avercardo was brow. My wife wanted to rate as terrible but I'm being a bit nicer and just rating as poor.

I have honestly never felt so welcome anywhere in Leicester. The atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed and the food is delicious. I have a great time whenever I visit and regularly recommend to friends. I have also been to the Allendale road shop and love them both.

I come to the Deli whenever I am in Leicester. I love it! its a great place to just sit and chill, and you can even people watch with a nice cup of coffee or tea!The food is great and caters for a lot of different dietary requirements. they even allow you to pick and choose what you want. if you don't like the cheese they have put on a salad, just pick a different one, the range of teas and coffees is fantastic.Although it can seem disorganised at times, the staff are more than happy to help you out and are apologetic when things go wrong which is inevitable when serving members of the public. Deli Flavour is one of my favourite spots in Leicester! good Food, great atmosphere and wonderful staff...

After coming across this cafe last weekend I couldn't wait to revisit today.Love the quirkiness of the interior setting, the menu choice is amazing, both food and drinks.Had been dreaming of their lattes all week! Gorgeous tasty food and presentation is good to the eye.Friendly staff and service is good, order at the counter then food/drink is brought over to you.Especially love the deli/cafe combo, fab idea and super choice of deli items.Noticed that they are child friendly too, which used to be a headache when my son was little.Back next week for another stamp on my loyalty card.

Having eaten at numerous restaurants and cafes in the City Centre many of which are excellent and deserve comment. Having used Deli Flavour ever since opening I feel compelled to write and support the business having read the poor review. First of all the food is delicious, secondly the food is delicious and lastly the food is delicious. The surroundings are chilled and give you a birds eye view to people watch whilst tucking in to the best sausage rolls in town. The sandwiches are filling and the drinks spot on, I have never had a problem with service especially at busy times with the staff always polite. This is a great independent City Centre deli and deserves to be up there alongside its sister deli in Allendale Road.

Whether just for a drink and a snack or great salad for lunch spot on every time. Great place to chill and relax. Everything made to order so if you have to wait for your this is reason why. Will definitely be returning time and time again.

Sitting in this cafe as I write this review. And after 45mins waiting for a panini its still not here. I've finished my coffee 30 mins ago.Several other people have already walked out, had a refund or received the wrong food.Nice idea and nice surroundings, but if you cant do the basics of giving your customer food. Why bother??One to avoid!!!!

We had lunch here on Saturday whilst shopping in town. It is newly opened and it looks lovely,. I ordered my favourite sandwich that I love in their allandale rd shop, Brie and grape,, sandwiches cost £4.75, so more than in their other shop but then I suppose this is town. I was a little disappointed when I tasted the sandwich because they weren't as generous with the Brie as I've previously had but it was still lovely and came with a little side salad which you don't get in the other shop. The bread is gorgeous and you get really big doorsteps.
