Sent my husband into this cafe to wait whilst I had a bit of retail therapy in Newport. This was a good move as he was more than happy with his bacon bap and coffee which meant that I could shop unhindered! In fact he was so comfortable sitting there that when I arrived back he treated us both to the Brocolli and Blue Cheese soup with a roll and a drink, it was yummy and piping hot! The cafe was tastefully decorated with interesting archaeological local finds displayed in cabinets. It was WARM in there, which is very important to me,and the staff are so friendly and welcoming, each customer was greeted and made to feel valued. It seems a lot of local people use it frequently which says it all. They operate a loyalty card system for hot drinks too. Nice clean toilet. The menu was quite different to other places, very tasty, everything looked delicious. But most of all, such a friendly and happy staff and nothing seemed too much trouble, we shall be back!

This cafe is evidently much loved by its community. Came in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Ordered a pot of camomile tea, which turned out to be loose tea with a strainer, and a couple of small cubes of home-made chocolate fudge on the side - yum! My companion had a ginger beer which was a brand we didn't know and excellent; I tried it. Our salad lunches were good quality with great attention to detail (de-seeded cucumber!) and the cafe was a very pleasant place to sit. We sat indoors because the sun was rather strong, but the front doors were propped open so it was cool enough. The staff were attentive without being intrusive and unfailingly kind and helpful throughout a busy lunch service. There were two gluten-free cake options which made me very happy, I chose the orange and almond cake and it was scrumptious. Good ice-cream selection too. Recommended.

We were travelling back from a short break in Chester and we called in to the local Waitrose is in this town to do some shopping. This café is on the main street a short walk from the supermarket carpark. It is a nice environment, very pleasant service and we very much enjoyed two flat whites which cost £5.40.

Always call in here a couple of times a week for a coffee and sometimes a sandwich. The food is top class so are the staff and service.

This place is located in a very historic timber framed building within the heart of the town. The Coffee and options on offer were very good, and the staff are helpful and friendly. There is also a small outside seating area to the front for you Cafe culture people! What made the place even more interesting is that they have some historical displays in cabinets of locally found items including some Roman coins and artifacts. There is also some local products on offer for sale including Cherry Jam which I took home!.

Took the team out for a breakfast meeting and we were all throughly delighted with our food. Fantastic coffeehouse in the heart of Newport, with very welcoming staff and a lovely atmosphere. Menu has a wonderful selection, and great to see a ‘pump’ coffee machine. Will def be back.

Had lunch here on a cold wet day. Delicious homemade soup with the best cheese on toast I have ever had - it was a mix of different cheeses over a layer of chutney really yummy. Really good coffee too - nice and hot and served with a little piece of fudge on the side. Highly recommended.

Popped in just for a cuppa and decided to have a small breakfast to go with it. Opted for a pot of Earl Grey and wasn't disappointed; proper leaves with a strainer and you could actually taste the bergamot! The eggs on toast (choice of white or granary) was delicious. Cooked to perfection with nice runny yolks. The service was excellent. Absolutely lovely experience and will definitely be returning.

Great little deli in Newport. Friendly staff and excellent coffee and food. We stopped for lunch. My wife had the soup and I had an avocado and bacon salad. Both were very tasty. Will certainly pop in again if we’re over Newport way.

This is the first time that we have visited Deli 45 but it will not be the last. It is a small and quite intimate cafe with great, friendly service, an interesting menu and well prepared, tasty food. My wife and I enjoyed a lovely breakfast and good coffee, all at a reasonable price. We could not ask for more.

Have visited Deli 45 quite a few times; food is always good and coffee is great too (particularly with the loyalty card!). They've a few outside tables if the weather is up to it.

Just had lunch here, I'm not a salad person but your salads are really nice with unusual touches like fresh herbs, rice and quinoa. Cakes looked divine. Will visit again

We booked an Adventure Awaits DnD session here, so we could all get a better idea of how to play! All ages and even Tessie dog enjoyed themselves throughly! Lyndsey was an amazing DM, making it a lot of fun and made us all feel comfortable. Not forgetting the food and drink selection at Boardroom Gaming Cafe caters for everyone and is delicious! I had visited a couple of times previously and all the staff are so kind, go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and I can't really recommend this place enough! Thank you! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Best pub in Newport by far. Always so accommodating along with a brilliant selection of drinks. Lovely landlords always happy to have a chat. Couldn’t recommend more.

Seriously? Can you guys not be so perfect? Lol. This was the best Indian food I’ve had in a very long time. Oh my god, better than sex and chocolate. Creamy, spicy, sweet and hot all rolled into one… my dream of a curry and you guys nailed it!!!! I’ll be back for sure. Wow. Favourite Indian takeaway I’ve had since I came to England from Canada 5 years ago. Little Bengal, 5 stars!

Popped in for a quick drink after a local walk. Guinness was good. However a quiet drink was ruined by the loud mouthed swearing barmaid
