Delamina EAST in Tower Hamlets

Such bad experience with the £46 menu. Feel so cheated. Started was good but main dishes to share were a con. Chicken thighs cut into 5 pieces for 5 of us. Desserts one dish two things and expected us to share! Other main go to take away get more. We can go to Ivy Asian and get lovely decent food. The waiter did took care of my wife gluten free option which he did a good job. Even Laphet was so much better near it!!!

Absolutely faultless! Our waiter was lovely, the atmosphere was casual and friendly, the food oh the food - every dish was superb. We had the best hummus I have ever tasted, roast cauliflower, tabbuleh and a prawn dish. Delicious and we will be back soon!

Having read previous reviews regarding this restaurant, decided to try out whilst in London.To be honest for what you pay,the portion size isn't that good,and although the food had good flavours, I was expecting a little more.The service is good but you do pay for this with the service charge added.I felt a little cheated to be honest,as I have experienced better meals in other London restaurants for the same cost or less.

I first found Delamina East back in 2022 and have been longing to return since. With high expectations I was nervous that my second visit wouldn’t be as good, but I was wrong, my second visit was just as amazing as the first! Delamina East is truly a hidden gem. The food, service and wine offerings are superb. I just love the chilled out, relaxed atmosphere of the place and I was so happy that the Lebanese wine I tried on my first visit was still on the menu, albeit the special menu. After my first visit, I have been truly inspired to learn and cook Israeli and Persian dishes, which are a staple most weeks. The owner, Limor Chen has since published her own cookbook called “My Tel Aviv Table” which obviously I purchased once I had realised. Can’t wait to return and also to try Delamina Marlybone. What a lucky find. Took my mum to the Van Gogh Immersive experience and looked in advance for somewhere for a birthday lunch. Booked in advance. A beautiful chilled restaurant, a warm welcome. The food choices were perfect for mum and I who are both pescatarian. Beautiful flavours that transport you to another world. If you enjoy Middle Eastern/eastern Mediterranean flavours this is for you. A mix of smaller dishes and mains lots of plant based dishes as well as meat and fish. Thank you perfect birthday lunch

Amazing food. Well priced. Delicious shakshuka. The combination of flavours was perfect with all the food. The lovely, pillowy pita bread was obviously made in-house. The pul biber Bloody Mary was excellent. The service was friendly and efficient. I would go back here in a heart beat and would highly recommend to anyone else.

We chose the a £45 per person set menu. It was delicious and well balanced. The chicken and shawarma were cooked perfectly, and served with lovely sauces and purées. We went middle of the price range with a Lebanese wine which we all liked too. Service unpretentious and friendly. Table was ready when we arrived and although the booking was only for 2 hours we were there a lot longer. Definitely going again.

Went on a bustling Saturday evening, had booked so no issues. Ordered three veggie plates and a sea bass. The chargrilled cauliflower was decent, the courgette and feta fritters excellent and the mushrooms good. Sea Bass was very good. Just quite small portions for the money. Keep forgetting we’re in London! Food was out very quickly suggests that they must have loads of kitchen staff or part-cook somethings in advance. But glad we went.

I am always wary of these type of places. Looks beautiful, presented beautifully but the flavours aren’t there. Exactly that unfortunately. Looked great, cooked well just no real flavour. The staff were lovely and attentive but just feels like one of them instagrammable places. The Qunioa salad was very good rest just not enough dept, the humous and also the chicken thigh.

We had been recommended the restaurant by some friends and it didn't disappoint. The food is really good but the menu itself is quite baffling. The menu is organised according to whether the food is vegetable, meat or fish. However, it is completely unclear whether the item is a starter or a main, whether some are sharing dishes or not etc. The staff were not a lot of help. The waiter was training another waiter and we had to call them a few tines in order to get service and to try and make sense of the menu. The place itself was busy so booking is advised. As I say the food was good but the menu is confusing.

What a fabulous restaurant and overall experience. We booked the restaurant randomly as we were staying in the Aldgate area. What a great experience. The food was totally unique and fabulously tasty and inventive. We all were completely wowed by everything we ate and drank!

We came here on Sunday evening 11th february 2024 to celebrate my husbands sixty fourth birthday. We ordered vegetarian dishes,roast cauliflower,houmous,fritters,aubergine,mushroom,a good variety of vegetarian dishes,then chocolate mouse and pitachio and date cake. It was all very tasty!

I'm not normally someone who raves about places, but the food here was absolutely delicious. All in all it was a tastebud sensation! Every dish we had was so tasty, particularly the goats cheese with chicory & roasted pear and the charred cauliflower - who knew that cauliflower could taste this good! Can't recommend it enough.

A first visit, hopefully not the last as this was a great experience. The mid-eastern flavours were really tastefully combined with lovely presentation. A good drinks menue with middle eastern themed cocktails. But the main quality was great and wholesome food, fresh flavours. Lovely friendly service on a cold Saturday afternoon.

I walked past this place and thought it had "curb appeal" and picked it for a meal where those attending needed somewhere vegetarian friendly. While the larger dishes do skew meat/fish, the smaller plates offer a variety of options to fill that requirement. On arrival there was a bustling atmosphere that got my hopes up I had chosen well, and the food and service simply confirmed that to be the case. Hard to pick a stand out dish, but for the meat eaters the Koftas were superb and honestly it is hard to go past the humble slow-roasted tomatoes on grilled bread. It is often the simple things that show the true worth of a restaurant, and Delamina gets those spot on. The cocktails also went down well, but if I had a quibble, the wine list skews a little high on the mark ups. In fairness, that's a fairly common London complaint, and I still happily recommend eating here.
