The place is quiet and beautiful. Its atmosphere is better. You will go to it for coffee and sweets, according to what you have tried. The coffee is excellent. Our order was: Shakshuka 5/10 French toast 9/10 Cortado 10/10 Chai latte 9/10 The service is excellent and their treatment is sophisticated, and anything you ask for, they take care of it

Great restaurant a bit off, just the way I love it. The food deserves a 5 out of 5. Great, in terms of quality and taste, every detour is worth it. The baklava has to be mentioned! Excellent, not so sweet but every bite is enjoyable. Will come again when I'm in town.

Excellent food and very good ambience. We were a group of eight and my dish was forgotten about but staff were apologetic and it came quite quickly after. They also brought a complimentary side dish and bread by way of an apology, which was a nice touch. Would definitely return.

Excellent brunch with full of flavour. Had the burnt aubergine with extra bacon. Service was quick and staff friendly.

Great food, small portions, high prices for the quantitiy that you get. The staff were constantly buzzing around our table which was very annoying, visited our table 20+ times over a 2hr period. Probably wouldn't visit again because I know I can get just as great food with larger portions around the corner. I would say that 1 waitress who took her time to explain some of the dishes from the menu was great though, the others were very polite but just annoying.

Came here for brunch and it didn’t disappoint in the slightest! It was something different to our usual brunch menu and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and flavourful and service was extremely quick. The fresh juices were very refreshing. We chose to sit at the chef’s table and it was great fun to see the food being prepared in front of us. Our waitress was lovely and attentive and checked in on us throughout the meal. If you’re in the Aldgate area, I’d definitely pop in, there’s an extensive menu and we’ll definitely be back to try some more dishes

I returned to Amber's twice during my stay in London: the food is delicious, some dishes are sought after and really very tasty. The service is great. And for this quality of cuisine, the price is really very fair! I highly recommend you!

Had lunch at Amber yesterday. Loved the decor of the restaurant. We ordered a few of the small dishes and starters - all had great flavours. My favourites however were the cauliflower and meatballs dishes. I also liked that I didn’t feel rushed - the restaurant overall had a laid back feeling to it. Reasons I’ve given 4 starts instead of 5 is that (a) food was a bit cold (b) we were incorrectly charged for a drink we didn’t order - although they did refund that once raised (c) we were waiting for ages after finishing the meal and trying to catch the eye of staff members to request for the bill.

Really lovely and creative tapas style dishes. The staff were so nice and gave us so many recommendations when we asked. The fried cauliflower was really good but I think overall it's a bit on the pricey side.

This was my first time visiting this location and I absolutely enjoyed the food with my friend. The location was such a welcoming surprise. Reminded me of Miami or the High Line in NYC. Definitely one of my new favorite places when I am in London.

We are so glad the we found Amber! Gorgeous food, we sat at the chefs table and it was great watching the food prep and the Chef was chatting and telling us how the food was made. The flavours are so amazing and we are fat and full.Was pleased to learn that it’s a stand alone restaurant with one owner, this is really clear when you look around the place, as the great attention to detail is everywhere! So happy to have supported a local business and not a chain and to get such a lush meal too. Thank you 🙌🏻

Happened upon Amber after not knowing where to go to eat and safe to say was very pleased by the choice. There are loads of veggie / halal options available. Whilst everything was sensational, the mango baklava and burnt aubergine were a particularly highlight. Will definitely be back next time in London.

Went here for dinner with my family and loved it. We got a number of small plates to share (about 2 per person) and then a large dish each, and this was plenty of food for us all. The stand out small dishes were the cauliflower and the prawns, although the chicken was also a close contender! I got the lamb for a large plate and it was very tasty with plenty of meat. The smoked potatoes as a side are an absolute must too - the aioli that comes with them was incredible. Service was great, with plenty of recommendations for us and servers were very friendly and engaging. Overall would definitely recommend a visit, I'd certainly go back!

everything we tried was brilliant, including: - the pierogi with spiced bisque, crab and caramelised onion - glazed lamb shoulder with burnt aubergine, yogurt, chilli butter and pita croutons - mango baklava with mango custard, whipped mascarpone, crispy filo and pistachios

Amazing food with excellent service, can get quite busy and the acoustic treatment of the restaurant means that when it's busy there is lots of reverberant close from other diners. Overall superb and highly recommended

Food was made quickly and tasted amazing, there was some confusion about how the menu worked since it's not an individual ordering but a group style. But the staff were super lovely and helpful. Menu is a bit limited so it feels a bit like a one and done place to eat.

I came with two friends for the first time to this place for a small birthday celebration. We were all impressed - the food was bursting with flavours of the Mediterranean and the service was excellent. A bit on the pricey side, but the atmosphere and the delicious food made it worth it.

So glad we found this little gem. Food is fantastic, perfect balance or f flavour and portion size was spot on. Service is excellent. Lovely environment. Will visit again when in town.

We had the fried cauliflower (good, a bit salty, lack of flavor), the hummus gnocchi (tiny and ridiculous portion for 11 pounds, the gnocchi mushy but the sauce delicious), the lamb shoulder (good ) and chicken (the only delicious dish of the meal). 2 wine worms at 10 pounds each. A hefty bill of 90 pounds, we won't be coming back. Very pleasant atmosphere, fast and friendly service

The restaurant sets many instructions and laws regarding seating time, dishes, and their variety. The employees do not have any flexibility in dealing with customer requests, and they are not pleasant at all. Although I was coming from outside London to try this restaurant, I made the decision that I would not repeat the experience another time, I or everyone who was coming with me. (( The behavior of the staff, especially the manager, was very rude and unpleasant)). I did not come to the restaurant to register for a competition full of rules, and I did not come to the Fine Dining restaurant.

Looking for a place to dine, we found this gem of a restaurant. From the kind professionalism of our water Asyak, who helped us navigate the menu, to the chef, who accommodated to my allergy, it was a pleasant experience. The food was delicious and satisfying.

As a Asian woman travel alone in London, my recent solo dining experience at this restaurant was utterly unacceptable. Despite sitting alone, there were plates for two left on my table throughout the meal. While other tables were served right away, I asked the waiter for water. Furthermore, unlike other guests, even water wasn’t poured for me. Later, another server inquired if I was waiting for someone, which I wasn't. And only then did the waiter remove the extra plates from the table. Finally, upon leaving, I thanked the staff member at the door, but received no response. This experience was a stark disappointment, especially considering it was my first meal in London. It left me feeling unwelcome and disregarded as a customer. I was very upset and felt like I was being racially discriminated against by the stark difference in service compared to other customers. If you excuse that what I experienced was not racial discrimination, then everything I experienced must have happened to other ‘Western customers’ as well. Think about it one more time.

I’d have to say this was the best pita of my life? They also put spicy peppers on the side and they add just the right kick. Will definitely be back!

Had this on my list for a while and it didn’t disappoint. Exquisite flavour combos, fantastic for sharing and great service (thanks Asyak). Recommend getting seats on the chef’s bar, though won’t making choosing any easier!

*2nd visit* Dinner Came again to try their dinner menus. The caulifower and potatoes were probably the highlights for us. The flavours and textures were there compared to other dishes we had ordered that evening. Had high hopes for the zucchini but somehow didn’t enjoy it as much as other dishes. Also, the portions of the sharing plates were quite small in my opinion. In terms of service, many of the servers were friendly and approchable enough, but one stood out as unfriendly, bordering on arrogant/rude. It could just be a bad day for that particular staff but still, it was unpleasant for diners to interact with them. *1st visit* Brunch Recommended by a local to try out the dishes here, had high hopes but weren’t particularly impressed by the execution except for the french toast. Of course, it may be that the taste of these dishes just didn’t suit our fancy. All the savoury breakfast dishes were heavily seasoned for us (being the first thing you eat in the morning) other than the dish with the kale salad. That at least had the freshness and citrusy of the vegetable and dressing to cut through the richness and creaminess. We were thankful that we ordered the french toast as it really helped changed up the taste with the sweetness of the fruits and crunchiness of the toasted bread. Though its matcha latte needed much improvement but I understand that it’s not a Japanese restaurant so… Overall, I’d re visit to try other dishes but would hope for a more welcoming, more efficient hospitality next time.

Everything with food and service was OK (nothing unmissable, slightly pricey, dessert was very good though) but... The noise... It was unbearable. It's the usual London open-space restaurant, with zero sound isolation, no ceiling or wall panels to mitigate the reverberation. You have to shout just to talk to the person next to you, and believe me, plenty of people will do that. Absolutely insufferable. Edit: responding to the manager comment, 4 years later, no sound improvement was done. The management should be grateful we stayed for dessert, instead they are "disappointed" from my review... When we came, it was a special evening

My husband and I went on a Friday evening for dinner at this restaurant. They had decent tasting food. Out of all the food we ordered I would recommend having Mango Baklawa and "Glazed Lamb Shoulder" as they were was very tasty. However "Kofte" lacked flavour and were bland. Mocktail were awfully tasteless. Service needs improvement. Overall it was expensive for what it was.

One of the best Mediterranean cuisine restaurants I've ever eaten in. Excellent food, well presented and with an exceptional combination of flavours! Portions slightly insufficient in terms of quantity. Service a little poor. Average prices.

Best breakfast I have had in London so far. If staying in the area(legate station) it’s a must. Accommodating for allergies and delicious. Staff are lovely. Chill vibes early in the morning.

I’ve dined here 4 times now, and have not been disappointed in any way. The place is super cute, with very friendly staff. The staff will go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and have what you need. The food is well thought out, and just all around exceptional. The small plate chicken , the glazed lamb shoulder, and the butternut squash are not to be missed.

Absolutely fantastic food! We visited Amber with 4 personen for dinner and even though we arrived quite late (1 hour before closing time) the staff took the time and we could even order a dessert 10 minutes before closing time. We followed the chef's recommendations and ordered starters (bread and self made Hummus) and different main courses with smoked potatoes as side dish. The first bite of the potatoes was totally surprising and amazing and also the rest was really delicious. We enjoyed every bite and even though we spent more than we would usually for dinner, we did not regret it at all. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

Had a fantastic evening at Amber, the staff were so friendly and very accommodating. My friends were slightly late for our booking but the staff made me feel comfortable and we didn't feel rushed at all. The food was amazing, we had two large and two small sharing plates between three of us, the deserts were so good, especially the Sunflower seed ice cream, that was incredible. The restaurant is set back from the road, I had no idea it was there, so glad I found it, we'll definitely return. A real hidden gem.

Have had several lovely meals over the past few years at Amber - lunches and dinner - and was really keen to bring a visiting friend here to check out brunch. We had a really lovely and substantial meal, with fresh juices and Monmouth coffee. I had the shakshuka which was a pretty large portion, but really tasty and served with great bread to mop it up. Friends had the vegan avocado on sourdough, and a breakfast pita (bacon, egg, cucumber, lettuce, mustard tahini). Service was warm and friendly as usual and the blonde wood, concrete and leafy plants provide a relaxing backdrop. Can't wait to return!

We enjoyed great food and a very pleasant ambiance at Amber. We can especially recommend the Courgette and the cauliflower. On top of that, Asyak was a lovely, wonderful and attentive waitress for our evening. We will gladly come again during our next visit to London.

We went to Amber on a Saturday night, and the dining experience was fabulous. Our table was served by Asyak, and we really loved her recommendations; all of them were great, and our favorite was the flat iron steak. Amber is truly incomparable with other restaurants in London. A delight, an explosion of flavors, nay, ecstasy from the first bite. The dishes, vegetarian or not, are just as remarkable and awaken new senses. Pumpkin seed ice cream is eaten without hunger and the experience is not complete before tasting it. Add to that a server beaming with the pleasure of sharing his passion for good cuisine and you have a memorable dinner

Was super excited to try this place as I’d heard good things but unfortunately we did not have a pleasant experience. Visited with 2 friends and we ordered a variety of dishes to share. The cauliflower came first, followed by other small plates before our starter. The crab pierogi seemed as if it was microwaved, and the steak was over-salty and tough. The lamb shoulder lacked flavor and was dry. We found a long hair in our food, and despite some money off the bill, the meal was disappointing. Only the labneh dip with bread stood out. Overall, not worth the money due to small portions and quality issues.

My husband and I visited for a late breakfast on a Sunday. Service was fast. Somehow all pictures of food seems nicer than the food served. My husband had a big breakkie stir-fry but the quality of ingredients were average, my dish was fresh and tasty though a small portion. Barista-made coffee should be nicer for ₴4+ per latte. Two dishes and 2 lattes costed us ₴42. We didn’t find it good value overall.

Amazing food and service. We had the poached eggs on avocado toast, shakshuka, crème fraiche French toast thing and was SOOOOO NICE. Honestly I’ve been to so many breakfast places that suck but this one I would def go back to !!!!!

Delicious food in a nice atmosphere. The service is friendly and relaxed. Compliments to Asyak, who had good suggestions when putting together our dinner.
