It's a great shop. The ice cream is perfect

Really nice place and probably one of the best ice cream/gelato places in Hull. Not very crowded on most days. Plenty of indoor seating and plenty of parking (free). Service is quite nice. They offer a blue light discount as well so that's a plus point as well. Open till late

I paid £24.62 for 9 scoops and only got 3. There is no way that 3 scoops alone costs just £24.62 so I definitely got ripped off. I am NEVER ordering from here EVER again!

Great selection of fresh ice cream

Customer service and coffee was great. However, furniture not clean, sticky and crumbs everywhere. Toilet in the other hand definitely should be out of order. One tap no working, toilet seat damaged and not cleaned most probably for a month. Not a pleasant experience visiting Del Gelato.

The wrokers are very friendly and efficient got mine and my dad's gelato within 5 minutes. Thier not too sweet but still have a delicious taste, it wasn't very busy which was ideal this ment there were plenty of seats to choose from and plenty of parking spaces.

Great ice cream, very nice service, friendly atmosphere. Portions are really big for the price. Only let down is toilets. They are pretty clean but broken. The toilet seat does not cost a lot, and the flush needs to be fixed

Absolutely shocking service. Been a few times in the past with no issue, however visited today and the staff were flat out rude - especially the guy on the till. No manners, no smile and doesn't even know the menu. Not a massive issue, but they've had new menu's printed since we last visited. It's extremely hard to read - lots of typos and very very poorly layed out. The gelato itself was really good. The Mocha came and we had to ask for it to be changed - was nothing like a mocha and the waitress explained thats just how they make it there (tasted like a caramel latte, no chocolate at all). Atmosphere could do with just some background music, felt like you shouldn't be sitting in there. Not welcoming at all. Won't be returning.

Delicious ice cream and always presented beautifully. Some staff can appear to become overwhelmed when it gets busy, though, and make mistakes. Other than that it's 100% the best place to visit on holderness road.

Absolutely rubbish service stood there waiting to be served the man kept looking at us but carried on doing jobs and then someone walked in and pushed in front of us and the man serving went straight to him and served him in front of us. All staff looked absolutely miserable as well . If there was a option to put zero star rating would've put that .

Went for a bubblegum milkshake they had none lost lot of custom as there was a few people wanting one and fridges was warm so ice cream was all melted

Ordered bubble gum ice cream and they sent Vanilla with Bubble gum sauce. Ordered a Nutella waffle and sent a Plain chocolate waffle no Nutella sauce, ordered Nutella ice cream x 2 and again no Nutella ice cream only plain chocolate. Rang the store straight away and no bubble gum and no Nutella in so they just sent what they had without calling & informing us. Waste of £30 as we binned it the chocolate on the waffle and cookie was ice cream sauce chocolate sauce and tasted awful no refund either

Very disappointed this weekend. We have eaten here many times and enjoyed the food. My daughter is soya intolerant but had no problem ordering soya free products in the past. This weekend we were told due to a supplier change there was nothing on the menu available for my daughter. She is also dairy intolerant and I appreciate choice is always a problem but to now find there is nothing she can have is sad. The attitude of the staff wasn't great either a case of "ah well, tough". When I mentioned this I was told "we are not a vegan business". Unfortunately, despite previously enjoying our visits we can no longer go again.

I have often visited here always loved it I always get a hot chocolate but…. Todays hot chocolate well if I shut my eyes it tasted like hot water I asked a member of staff if the recipe had changed the reaction was no why very abrupt I just said it tasted of nothing no response apart from a shrug of the shoulders not very good customer service and I don’t think I will be revisiting I think I will spend my £27 somewhere other then here 😡

My order didn’t turn up I called the caffe to let them know and they said they have had problems with this driver all day. I would like a full refund very disappointing and such an inconvenience

Our first visit to Del Gelato this afternoon. Not exactly ice cream weather but it's definitely worth a visit for the lovely coffee and other desserts available. Great customer service from the young woman serving today. Very clean place. And big! Plenty of seating (bench style built-in and chairs) and a lovely corner, which would be a great place for meeting up with a party of friends. Not busy this afternoon but I'm told it's a busy spot in the summer months. The variety of ice cream available is huge. Served in a cone or a dish. Cheesecakes and other desserts available. Prices are good. All in all a very nice place to visit. Oh, and plenty of free parking. I gave a 3* review for the atmosphere as there's no music and not being busy it lacked a little something.

Ordered a chocolate cake and instead of a chocolate cake they sent a carrot cake, absolutely livid. Wouldnt bother ordering they would probably send you a apple pie or something 🙄

As always this is place to go for Ice cream;) unless you are happened to be in Ripon near Knaresborough that also great 👍 ice cream place ;) Del gelato have great variation of tasty 😋 ice cream 🍨 which you will devour with joy 😊

The price we paid for what we received was shocking £7.15 for 3 tiny cookies with chocolate sauce dribbled on top and £4.25 for the smallest slice of chocolate cake! The food was nice however the portion sizes were ridiculous, very unhappy

I like the people who works at Del Gelato and they are the nicest people that I met already and the best place to have a proper ice cream and ice cream sundaes and Milkshakes and Waffles and Cookie Doughs and Del Gelato is the best place ever and to say thank you for everything but it doesn't have to be a reason because you guys are just like the best staff ever and that's just said enough.

Popped in on the off-chance for an ice cream. I had a knicker bocker glory which was absolutely delicious. The owner changed one ice cream at my request for a brandy snap ice cream. It was gorgeous. I will return in a heartbeat. I gave the atmosphere only 3 stars . NOT THE OWNERS FAULT. Some very noisy and unruly little children came in screaming and shouting. As I said I would return in a heartbeat.

I popped in for an ice cream at del gelatos. On entering I was met by a massive fridge with a wonderful assortment of ice cream. I quickly ordered a knicker bocker glory. I asked for brandy snap, strawberry, and vanilla. It also came with soft fruits fresh cream and 2 biscuits. The staff were lovely with very quick service. I will hopefully return to sample some more yummy delights.

Far too slow - ordered two ice cream sundaes and waited nearly half an hour. Wasn’t even busy. Shame because ice cream was great and the selection to choose from was amazing. Be prepared to have your patience tested

Went here on my way back from treating my wife out for her birthday as she fancied a waffle and most the coastal places where shut when we got there. This place blew us away, the girls serving us was amazing, even though it was close to closing it had a happy cheerful atmosphere and couldn't do enough for us. 100% a credit to this company and they deserve to be recognised for their work. I would recommend this place without hesitation and I'll definately be back again and again. Thanks for the great service and amazing food.

Wonderful gelato, lots of choice and lovely staff! We came here as were really looking forward to a dessert but had to walk out of another dessert place on Paragon Street in Hull City Centre as service was so slow and a member of staff was surprisingly incredibly rude! They did us a favour as we enjoyed everything we ordered here and will definitely return.

Service was terribly slow, waiting over half an hour for 3 milkshakes and a sundae. Went upstairs to sit as downstairs only had small tables empty, to be told upstairs was closed… no signs to say so and tables up there had been used as plates were sat there, was pointed to a dirty table. They came and took the rubbish but never wiped the ice cream muck. Looking around they have also decorated a wall with real cones with marshmallows to look like ice creams, these are dusty and look like they have been there years. Doesn’t give hygienic vibes.

Came for a treat which we ate in store, and was delicious as always. However issues arose after we decided to take some ice cream home for my other daughters. We asked to split the 5 scoop take out box into two sestate boxes for allergy reasons, despite explaining this, we ended up paying for two separate take out boxes of two scoops, which was significantly more expensive, as they are unable to split boxes. A gentleman, who I assume was the manager came to apologise, and said it was just the way the system is set up, and advised he would pass on our comments. However, doesn’t stop you feeling as though people with allergies ( so a genuine reason for the request) are being penalised. Unfortunately this left a very bitter taste to what should have been a lovely afternoon.

Bought chocolate cookie dough, salted caramel slice, tub of mint choc chip ice cream and large cappuccino. Excellent service and taste.

We love coming here for our weekly treat, so many ice cream flavors to choose from, the cakes and desserts are lovely too. I think the prices are very reasonable and you definitely get what you pay for, handmade ice cream, proper coffee and good size portions. We're usually served by the owner/manager who is always polite and friendly. Highly recommend

No hello we'll be with you shortly from the staff, no smile as we walked in and queued and no thank you as we left I asked why I only had the flavour of the ice cream and no shortbread, sauce etc on my scoop. One staff member explained that management tells them to scoop it from the back/ bottom to keep the displays looking good as he likes it that way Call me old fashioned but if I'm buying raspberry ripple cheesecake ice cream I would have liked some sauce and actual cheesecake Expensive too!

Love this place cost lot more since lockdown which is disappointing as I can't afford to take my grandkids anymore as there not little an want more than a little tub,but positive side, staff are very helpful an friendly ice-cream is so nice an you can swap the ice cream that comes with what you want I ordered waffles an changed the ice cream on it they was enough for 2 of us just wish I asked them to put what I left in box to bring home. 😊 😋

Nice cafe and experience this afternoon.. lovely flavours of gelato to choose from. Only things that spoiled it sadly was the service. It wasn't awful but I felt a bit patronised by the lady serving me and the main mananger was sat down didn't greet me with a smile. . I will be back again to try the hot desserts but service with a smile wouldn't go a miss. I felt more welcomed by fellow customers. Maybe just a busy day for them.

Great prices, great tastes, large portions, relaxing environment, if you want to sit in. Much, much better than the other "gelato" places. These may have started the trend in our city, yet Del Gelato does it right! Certainly worth you visit.

To all Check your ice cream when it's being prepared as just 2 scoops put back in cold counter after being put together (one had nuts) This was mentioned by another customer but with very little care about the issue by a staff member Just to be careful

Very disappointing, which is a shame as me and my family love Del Gelato. The table was dirty when we first came in, we got baby waffles and a cookie dough all for £18 which is quite expensive for what we got. We ordered tap water and it came warm, i know it’s free but we sent it back and still got warm water but the waiter was happy to change it and explained they had no ice. we received our waffles and cookie dough in a good time, so we weren’t waiting very long. Though when we cut into the waffles it fell in two, which i think is poor quality for the price, almost like it got stuck to the waffle machine and was placed ontop. Though i have to say, the ice cream never lets us down, it still is amazing! Just a shame how the other bits were so disappointing as it will be quite awhile until we will return. noticed how it’s gone down hill since the pandemic and had been shut, almost gone abit lazy.

Called in on Sunday I ordered 1 scoop of ice cream in a cup and 1 scoop in a cone this order took 20 mins for me to get I could not believe it 4 people behind the counter and this was how long it took something needs to be done about customer service. However the I’ve cream was delicious but not worth the wait
