Just visited for the first time for lunch. Food was lovely and it was very pleasant sat on the conservatory. We will definitely visit again.

Beautiful atmosphere, the food was delicious, fast service, polite staff. Thank you, we had a great time!

Came here for Christmas Day with my family, was an absolutely wonderful experience. Food was gorgeous, the starter being served within 15 minutes of being seated which was perfect. Also had a present for my little boy which I thought was a lovely touch. We come here all the time whether it be for just drinks or food as well and they never fail to disappoint. Thank you guys.

The meals and service were okay and they let us in a little early before opening as it was cold outside. The only issue is two of our party could not have fish for the fish n chips as fish needed defrosting and only two had been defrosted which were ordered by another table. Then we thought later why can’t you cook fish from frozen? Company policy?

Good value and a good selection of dishes.

We came for breakfast with Santa (14/12) which was not organised! You would have thought Santa would have walked round whilst the children had their meals not serving them! There was no arts, crafts, stories or singing like advertised. The only person who was good was the Elf who was running round trying to do everything! This could have been really good if it was planned and organised properly!

The food was felicious and the service was great, we wasn't waiting too long for our food and our table was cleared in a reasonable time. Also the venue is decorated really nice for Christmas

Great atmosphere, good food & friendly staff. We took our 5 month old & he enjoyed making a mess. There’s a good selection of toddler/ kids foods & our son is just starting his weaning journey so just sucked on some carrot sticks & pasta. I had the festive burger which was lovely & came with some fries. My partner had the medium-rare steak which was more on the rare side but he didn’t mind. Music not too loud & for a Saturday evening the pub wasn’t too busy but wasn’t dead either. It was a great meal out.

We booked a table for 15 of us to celebrate my son's 18th Birthday. The food was lovely, the staff we're really welcoming and went above and beyond and the food was yummie too! Thank you for helping us make sure my son had a wonderful time.

I come here a lot, and have been coming on and off for over six years. I have never had a bad meal yet, also it is always hot, including the peas which no pub ever manages.

Lovely food but annoying customer in shouting and swearing at the top of her voice very annoying, no one else wanted to know her business, she soon cleared the area out !

Excellent - no complaints whatsoever. Food was good value and arrived quickly after ordering. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will be back soon

Lucy was very helpful and made sure that all the meals came out at the same time for a party of 20.

Apollo has a warm and welcoming atmosphere the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The food is superb and very reasonably priced they also do a lovely Sunday roast. Apollo puts on entertainment certain nights of the week and really welcomes families.

Saturday lunch at Appollo,Fish and Chips, mushy peas , first class.

We went for lunch on Friday 8th November, food was good. Lucy the young lady that waited on us was excellent, very attentive and chatty. She is an asset to the pub.

The whole experience from walking through the door was great, the staff were busy but not to busy to help.us with our booking and seated us promptly. We ordered food which came quickly and it was delicious, the food and service was brilliant 👏

The food was excellent, i had mozzarella dough balls with a portion of chips and had the cookie brownie. i was brought the food by Jayden and he was reassuring and asked if we had everything we needed and everything was okay and he was a nice lad

Not been for several years. Booked for us, daughter and grandson who is special needs. Friendly greeting. Shown to our table. Easy ordering food. Our meals and desserts were really good. We were served by Jayden. A lovely lad, very courteous and attentive. He is a credit to the Apollo. We will certainly be back.

Went for a family meal and 99% of food superb. My steak was fatty and sent back (as part of the mixed grill) but our server Jayden sorted it, apologised and I got a complimentary dessert which was nice.

My daughter and I enjoyed our main meals. I had a beef roast dinner (nice, although the portions seem to have shrunk) and my daughter had a pepperoni pizza, which she loves. We also had a pudding. My daughter loved hers, mine was let down by the fact that I wanted my apple crumble hot and only a small portion of it was, the rest was cold. I ordered online and we were served quickly with our drinks and the food didn't take long either.

Friendly and welcoming. Good clean beer. Food is great. Great to whoching the football or rugby. And singer's at weekend. Dog friendly.

Good variety of food and drink, prices are reasonable, plenty of seating, has a big pool table and it also has live sports. There is a spacious area for families to enjoy.

Lovely food, we reserved a table but didn't have much room were we were seated, we mentioned it to Lucy the floor staff member she moved us with no problems and very attentive. I can see Lucy going very far in the hospitality industry. Will be coming again very soon.

Starters where so small and came in child like bowls fish was burned black bread was stale and uneatable burger was overcooked and dry

Jayne was very professional as our server. Food arrived very quickly and was piping hot. Very reasonably priced and clearly a very popular place with the locals. The manageress was lovely too and very friendly. All the staff clearly work very hard.

Wayne was really lovely when she brought our food, my friends was wrong but it was no trouble for Jayne to get that sorted for us quickly. She also came around mid meal asking if everything was okay. Lovely service from Jayne, food was great as always and was a lovely atmosphere to be sat eating in.

Cheap and cheerful but a little slow when busy

Had a lovely lunch out with my granddaughter one of the waitresses called lillie was really lovely and helpful couldn't do enough for us as we had a one year old with us thecsraff are really pleasant and helpful we will go again I have spread the word about the appollo pub

Yes, I am somewhat of a snob, BUT considering that the pub is an ‘estate’ pub the staff are fantastic. The meals are what I consider to be ‘pub grub’ but this location is at the top of the list of great food. We often come here and it is ALWAYS top notch. Please ensure that the kitchen team are aware of this compliment. Keep it up guys and gals

Dropped in for a beer while walking the dogs. Ordered using the app. The barmaid was very friendly, and greeted the dogs, and brought them a bowl of water and some treats. Very dog friendly. Great pit stop when out with the dogs!

We have been into the Apollo on a number of occasions and we always get exceptional service. Today we were looked after by Jayne and Alice who we have known for quite a few years now. Very professional service and lovely friendly atmosphere. The food was excellent and they have a very good gluten free menu with a lot of choice. Looking forward to the next time. My nanna absolutely loves coming here for her food calls it her second home. Jayne and all the other staff are alway so lovely and helpful and any needs are attended to. Food is always amazing I recommend to everyone I speak to =)

Food was delicious (Donner Kebab, chips and Lasagne) Service was with a smile. Food came out quickly Was asked by 2 young ladies one was called Lily if we was enjoying our food along with asking if we needed anything else. Friendly atmosphere Overall great experience

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The atmosphere was friendly and cheerful with popular singalong type 70s music playing. We had left another pub (because there was a 50-minute wait for food there), so we were a bit late getting to the Appollo. Our food order was accepted at 6:50 - only 10 minutes before they stopped serving food. The young man went out of his way to fulfil my request for zero alcohol lager shandies and helped me carry the glasses to our table. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. It was served with a smile and a return visit to check that everything was satisfactory. It was! Even though they had stopped serving hot food, we were able to order a dessert, and the young man brought me a second spoon after asking if we were sharing. We were! We ordered another drink and again received sterling service with the young man again, helping me carry the glasses to the table. It felt as if nothing was too much trouble. We will go back and would highly recommend to any prospective visitors. Well done to all the staff st the Appollo and thank you for a very enjoyable visit.

Even though the pub was full the service was good

We hired an area for a baby shower, and it was amazing. The food was great, everyone was pleased. The staff were brilliant also. Tara especially, brining all the food out and every time I had a question or needed something she was very helpful, a lovely young lady. X We will definitely be having future celebrations here. X

Booked for a late afternoon treat. Food was excellent and also the service was brilliant. Very friendly staff who made sure they asked if everything was good. Overall couldn't really fault the experience and will try again. Hopefully they will have some special offers on the price for meals at some point. Well done.

We have eaten here quite a few times in the past and staff have always been amazing and food mainly good On this occasion unfortunately it left a lot to be desired We ordered 2 starters and 2 mains (did we want them at the same time ? Erm no ) Surf and turf medium rare please Mixed grill medium rare Starters fine Except you now have to get your own cutlery which was never the case Medium rare steak well over cooked and everything else seemed to have been left to keep warm and so had dried out Mixed grill again every thing over cooked and dry Sauces ( mustard/ketchup ect now in little sachets) fetch your own The worst thing for me was the total lack of training for the waiters “How is your food “ My steak is over cooked “Hahaha Really” And proceeded to walk away After waiting for about 15 minutes expecting someone to come over to deal with our issues decided to leave By this point I was so cross and approached the bar staff and explained my complaints. They said I needed to speak to the duty manager and pointed out where he was sat At this point he was in his computer and when I approached he quite rudely stated he was on his break!!!! By this point I didn’t care he wasn’t eating or I wouldn’t have bothered. When I explained about the food he said it should have been replaced and when I explained about the waiter’s attitude he said he would deal with it ! How ? He didn’t even ask who served us or what table we had sat at Very poor customer service from all staff And no offer of refund for food we didn’t eat Will we return No not until things change

This particular pub had an intriguing feature—it also served as an eatery. Despite its dual role, it maintained a cozy and welcoming ambiance. Without a doubt, it was a worthwhile stop for enjoying a pint.

Lovely visit to Apollo yet again. Never had a bad visit yet. Today we were served by Jayne. Always pleasant really nice lady. Very attentive nothing too much trouble.

Was there for a wake. The buffet was very nice and service at bar was fairly quick. Would definitely recommend for any social gatherings.

Very busy early evening visit. Served quickly and efficiently, expected wait for food to be served was a lot less than expected. As usual the food was piping hot and delicious and very reasonably priced. Roll on the next visit.
