Lovely family pub with a great selection of drinks and food if you get hungry or go for a meal. Plenty of tv screens to catch up on sport as well as a pool table. Staff are well trained and are friendly no matter who you are.

Food was excellent, fast service! Jess was very kind and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. It was just a shame about the man in the corner playing his music really loud.

We love coming to Apollo. It's our 3rd time visiting but 1st time as a date night, just me and the hubby. Took advantage of the Tuesday burger and pint deal. Food has been perfect and waiting times were really good. Great night. Thank you to all the friendly staff. X

From reviews we had reasonable expectations which unfortunately weren't met on our visit. The staff were really welcoming, polite and well mannered. Our order took 45 minutes to arrive which we would have accepted if the food was of a decent standard. The Burgers (all 3 of them) are said to come with pot of sauce, salad and onion rings. These were absent. The fries were greasy and tasted of oil. The burgers themselves were overcooked. The other meals ordered had similar issues and items missing (crispy onion, chives, sauce etc.) For us it seemed like ready meal standard which given the prices was disappointing. Not for us for food but seems like a nice friendly place for a drink.

Jayden made the desserts for my family for 10 also the bar staff Was amazing would recommend to friends or family.

A relaxing value for money lunch. The side salad was a lovley surprise, not your normal lettuce & tomato. It made the meal. Our server Yaz was attentive.

We came for our 2nd visit 1st of April I booked a table and asked for it to be out of the way due to one of the guests difficulties. The staff could not have done more for us. Excellent food service thank you again Apollo 😃

We arrived around 3.50pm and our table was booked for 4pm. Rugby was been played on the tv’s in the bar area and the noise flooded into the restaurant and there was a tv on the restaurant side as well and the tv was very loud that it was hard to hear my family sat at the table with me. When we went to order we were told it was a 2 hour wait for food, this is outrageous ! We walked straight out and have no plans to return , and if anyone asks me about Apollo I certainly won’t be recommending them

Slow service for drinks and only 2 beers on sale. Long wait for food. Food was good.

The whole experience from walking through the door was great, the staff were busy but not to busy to help.us with our booking and seated us promptly. We ordered food which came quickly and it was delicious, the food and service was brilliant 👏

Excellent service food was lovely. My only complaint not enough custard with the puddings.

Waited an hour for food even after asking how long it was going to be and when we got it it was not very hot but would have been nicer if it was hotter. The place was cold. we cleared the table ourselves and had to ask for it to be wiped down and for cutlery. Both were done but no apology or communication from the staff. Will not be going there again..

We absolutely loves our experience Kim and Alice behind the bar were so helpful and accommodating. Our son has autism and its extremely difficult to go out for a meal when he likes things separately and removing things like cheese salad ...making bacon extra crispy . But they were fantastic and really made our meal fit to our families requirements. It didn't seem a bother at all. It's Sunday half term and despite being very busy we were waiting a very short time for our food and it was cooked perfectly. I have a very happy full family tonight and more exciting my boy who hates leaving the house has asked to come again. Just waiting for our puds which have looked amazing as we saw them at other tables. The young fella clearing tables Jaydan was lovely too he checked on us asking if all was OK and if there was anything we needed. He was good at his job and made sure none of us got burnt as he brought out the very hot plates. Brilliant experience will come again.

Very tasty food prepared and served in a very reasonable time by a polite friendly staff member. All staff were welcoming and courteous and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely be visiting again

Me & my partner came in last night as a last minute decision. Glad we did. We both realy enjoyed our meals. I could have actually eaten mine again lol. Our server was called paddy. We had a female server aswel but i didn't get her name. Both of them was realy friendly & they made us feel realy welcome. We wil definitely be back again

We come for a birthday meal and there was 8 of us and as we went to order our food there was nowt available to us that was want so had to reorder things 4 of us was veggie so not much opinion to us and my son went to order a dessert and was told you didn't sell the he wanted but yet it was on the menu so overall not a very good experience really

It was very nice apart from the fact that I booked a table but when we arrived there was no table for us so we sat in the bar. Luckily there was 1 table left. If you reserve a table it should be there for you.

New menu so we couldn’t wait to try it! I chose the mac n cheese with piri piri chicken, it was bloody lovely!! Hubby had the ultimate spicy beef burger, it was delicious! We can’t wait to go back!!!

Came here for Christmas Day with my family, was an absolutely wonderful experience. Food was gorgeous, the starter being served within 15 minutes of being seated which was perfect. Also had a present for my little boy which I thought was a lovely touch. We come here all the time whether it be for just drinks or food as well and they never fail to disappoint. Thank you guys.

Wow what an amazing visit. From the minute we set foot inside and were greeted by Sophie we knew we were going to have a fab time. She was the hostess with the mostest and made sure all our food and drinks were served really quickly. Will definitely go again!

Yes, I am somewhat of a snob, BUT considering that the pub is an ‘estate’ pub the staff are fantastic. The meals are what I consider to be ‘pub grub’ but this location is at the top of the list of great food. We often come here and it is ALWAYS top notch. Please ensure that the kitchen team are aware of this compliment. Keep it up guys and gals

Great friendly pub. We have been to a few family events. One just been breakfast with Santa. Kids loved it, was really nice the fact that Santa visited every table and made an effort to speak to all kids. Breakfast choice for the kids was good too, they had cereal, biscuits and a cooked breakfast. Not to hectic for a morning, atmosphere was nice.

We really enjoyed the food and drink and the service was 1st class especially with a 30 percent discount off the price for main meals etc. The only problem was the girlfriend like her lasagne crispy on top but otherwise excellent. Keep up the good service and see you soon.

The Apollo is a nice place to go for a meal. It's a Marston's pub, so you know what will be on the menu. The food and the service has always been good. There is a nice bar area with two dart boards and a pool table. There's also big screen tvs for watching sport. There's a wide range of beers, lager and cider at the bar but sadly no cask conditioned real ale Or hand pumps. This is a Very disappointing And difficult to understand because it is a busy pub, usually you would expect at least marstons pedigree and another real ale. You can't beat a nice pint of cask conditioned, real ale with your meal. There is a nice big free car park and plenty of outside seating.

Now I never post reviews but really feel this is a must! We were a family of 9 and decided that we would try Apollo my first thoughts were oh I don’t want ping food!! But we decided to give it a try well I am absolutely amazed the staff went above and beyond very polite and well the food was exceptional we all cleared our plates and this will definitely not be our last visit we will definitely be returning in the very near future if I could give more that 5***** stars ⭐️ I would if you have not been here I would recommend totally Thankyou for the fantastic service and exceptional food compliments to the chef 👩‍🍳 amazing see you all again soon xx😊😃😃

Called Apollo last minute to see if they could accommodate a table for ten people on Saturday 25/11/23. They found us a table and the service was 100 percent. The staff were so helpful and polite. The food was presented very well and was delicious. We have not been in apollo for a couple of years but will definitely not leave it that long again. We shall be there in march for family reunion if not before. Thank you to all the staff was a pleasure to visit your public house and food perfect xx

First of all Staff were amazing. So friendly and helpful with changing the puddings for a different one. Table was set up really nice for the festive meal even got a cracker! Food was delish! Big portions aswell. Cooked very nice. Would definately recommend!

Received a warm welcome as soon as I entered The Apollo. Was shown to the table I reserved. Once we had placed our order it was delivered quickly and the staff were very friendly and asked if we needed anything else they could get us. The food was well presented,hot and delicious.
