I telephoned to check if dogs were welcome, and they were! We visited after a muddy trip to the woods. The staff were super accommodating and welcoming. The dog was provided with water and biscuits and we ordered the most delicious cakes, panini and hot chocolate. Unfortunately we did muddy up where we were sitting a bit but we were reassured this was absolutely not a problem. We will definitely be returning. Really lovely visit.

Popped in for lunch while waiting for the bus, fortunately we had an hour and a half to kill. The tea arrived within 25 minutes , the baguettes within 40 minutes. The food was fine whilst unremarkable. The person we perceived to be the proprietor was extremely pleasant.

Arrived at 9.30am for breakfast.....our first visit since they re-branded and re-opened. Lady owner very friendly and chatty(I will come back on that). First thing we are told is no coffee available and husband has gone out to buy mushrooms......9.30 and no coffee in a cafe!! We ordered the full English.....we waited and waited eventually being served 45 minutes later.During our wait the lady owner spent the whole time chatting and gossiping to other customers, she made no attempt to start breakfast until her husband returned from his shopping trip. The tables were sticky and dirty and when the breakfast did arrive it was very poor.....small portions, eggs overcooked and it looked like it had been dropped onto the plate no atrempt to present it nicely. We ate, paid and left. My wife and i agreed it was the worst breakfast we have ever had. Will not return and cannot recommend.

A beautiful location, excellent food and attentive staff. However, after 75 minutes we were told that we would be asked to vacate our table soon. The restaurant and marquee only had three other tables in use, the majority of tables were empty with no reserved notice on them. 30 minutes later we were asked to leave. The indoor tables and marquee tables were still mostly empty. It was all rather uncomfortable and felt unwelcoming. The excellent food and beautiful location were completely overshadowed by us being asked to leave. I would understand if the tea room was busy and would have vacated our table, as I understand how important it is for businesses to make a profit in these uncertain times. I would have thought that any establishment would welcome having customers sitting at tables when a larger number of tables are empty, as it creates a visible sense of activity that can attract others. Seeing people already enjoying the space can reassure potential customers that the place is worth visiting. Personally, when I pass by a venue with empty or mostly empty seats, I can't help but wonder why. Some cafés, even prioritize keeping window seats occupied because it sends a message to passers by that the business is open and thriving. Ultimately, businesses rely on customers—and customers are human beings with emotions and needs. By understanding these needs and emotions, businesses can build stronger connections and, in turn, achieve greater success. As the saying goes, you may not remember someone's name but you will remember how they made you feel. I felt unwelcome and sadly will not be returning or recommending this location, which is a shame. Why 'sadly', because I felt the food on offer was excellent and the location beautiful. I'm sharing this as I hope the cafe reads this and realises they could be sabotaging what has the potential to be an amazing business.

Having drank there a few tines we thought we would try Sunday lunch. Four of us were put at the smallest table in the middle of the bar, the larger tables reserved for twos and threes, odd, they did offer to move us but why seat us there if they had larger tables? The vegetarian 'roast' was TWO over cooked cheap veggie sausages (none of us could eat them),disgraceful for £13.95! How is that a 'roast'? Over all the experience was uncomfortable. When paying the bill we had one (the cheapest) meal knocked off and an explanation that the veggie roast wasn't usually sausages and they weren't the usual veggie sausages, maybe explaining to the customer that the quality was inferior to the norm, before they order, would be a good idea , but obviously they would rather people just paid, said nothing, and left. Definitely not a place for anyone expecting a good Sunday lunch as described. Disgraceful.

Fantastic location for truly wonderful food and exceptional service. The food is perfect and obviously of the highest quality. Service was quick, attentive and welcoming. Beautiful dining room with every little detail thought of. Loved the gluggle jugs for water! Everything from the fresh bread rolls to the thinnest pastry on desert was just perfect!
