Unfortunately it's ashamed I have to write a bad review. Food over two hours late

Dee’s Bakery is an absolute gem! The baked goods are fresh and delicious, especially the banana bread . The staff is super friendly and always ready with great recommendations. The cozy, welcoming atmosphere makes it the perfect spot to relax with a treat and coffee. I can’t wait to visit again!

Based purely on the beef and cheese pattie which was incredible and piping hot

Brilliant food! Always stop by when I'm in the area. Always recommend for authentic Jamaican cusine. Especially the flaky pattie and coca bread.

No way this can be considered Caribbean food. Soggy rice, bland Mac & cheese, and unauthentic jerk chicken. Not to mention the order was delivered 1 hour late. Unbelievable.

The food was very nice, would definitely recommend it.

We live locally, and the food took two hours to arrive. Seems they deliver themselves as opposed to using couriers. After waiting two hours it wasn’t great and items were missing. Please believe the bad reviews and don’t take a chance like me.

What a disgrace - whoever runs that place has no clue about customer services. Don't be fooled by the opening times - whoever an owner is opens at the time which are suitable for him. Been there many times, what an attitude ! It's like you almost begging to buy I would say. Not going there anymore- been always taking patties and chicken, which is lovely even if pieces are only for one bite .... Utterly disgusting customer service. Such a potential, such a spot, no one's bothered .... You just lost a customer.

I can't review the quality of your food because it didn't even show up. I ordered from you for the first time and being pregnant I craved a curry goat so much that I was looking forward to it and I am disgusted how you simply had zero customer care. After 1 hour of waiting after ordering through Just eat, I called you to see when you'd roughly a (as sometimes just eat timings can be off slightly) and a man on the phone said that the driver isn't at the restaurant yet so once he's back he will deliver my food. I ordered at 7pm and at 8.35pm! I actually thought I'd give them a chance and call once more to check if there was any further delay because Ill need to order elsewhere if that's the case as I'm now super hungry, NO answer whatsoever after I called 3 times! Your a total a total Joke if this is what you call a business, if this is what you call customer care! That's customer negligence and ignorance in my opinion. You are located in the perfect with the best potential regular customers but your reviews prove your standards are LOW.

Main reason for this review.. They selling food that is 2-3days old. The taste and smell was off! had to put in the bin. Waste my time and money. They got no customer still either. Bottom line don’t waste your time and money here. Find a better Caribbean restaurant. See photo below. That food was off, smell and paste.

Ordered food at 6pm, still currently waiting at 8pm. I called them at 6.30 and they said the driver will be there by 6.45. Just eat told me then it would be here by 7.45. I've currently attempted to call them over 25 times and they do not answer the phone. Can't currently cancel the order as they said driver is on the way and is stuck in traffic although I know there is no traffic as I can check traffic on my phone. Do not order off this restaurant EVER.

I agree with one of the following reviews I had read prior to ordering, its like the meat pieces are cut up extra small to spread it out more and probably cut cost but makes the meals extremely annoying to eat and you end up with lots of sharp bones and small bone bits so i wouldnt recommend giving to small children as its a choking hazard really, that was my main gripe aswell as the oxtail being very very plain, I was surpised as a caribbean who knows how the flavours should be, I had to add salt and hot sauce to it to give it abit more flavour and it didnt taste fresh. The curry goat was nicely flavoured but not enough gravy given and again the small cut up bits are bad. I also got a cheesy beef pattie which was okay, beef in it was nice but just a little prewarning the cheese used is what u would call american cheese/hamburger cheese which i felt didnt match to well with the beef. But prices are reasonable but improvement needed.

Had oxtail from here and I can honestly say it tasted amazing. Excellent portion, lots of gravy and meat in the container, seasoned and tasted absolutely lovely. The staff were lovely, polite and very friendly. Brought food the day before and was so impressed I came back today. Don’t get swayed by the negative comments I will definitely be recommending to all Friends and family. Keep up the good work guys 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

BEST PATTIE I HAVE EVER HAD!! AND FRIED CHICKEN WAS REALLY FRESH!! Ordered on uber eats. I wonder if the patties was home made, because it was so nice!!

The worst curry goat I've ever experienced. Seen more sauce in a cup of sand, dry and nasty. I ordered a dumpling and got a sweet festival. Full do not recommend this place, first and last time 🤮🤢🤢🤢

Firstly they didn't even have jerk chicken or rice and peas. Then the food came and it was just, boiled white rice with plain chicken even though it said curried chicken. I won't be ordering from here again will go some where more authentic like, brown eagles.

Went in here the other day because my usual Caribbean store didn’t have what I wanted so I decided to try here since It’s where I used to get patties from. The woman who served me had the stankest face with poor customer service. I’ve placed my order and she’s looking dead at me as if there was something on my face. I never usually leave bad reviews but the food was the cherry on top for me. The oxtail tasted bad, like I’ve never had bad oxtail before so I was surprised, it tasted like it was about 3-4 days old (smelt it too). Anyways I won’t be ordering from here again period. Ended up wasting more than £8 on a meal that I didn’t even eat, just ended up in the bin.

Tasty patties and coco bread. Never had an issue when going to the shop, usually to get some lunch when I am out. Dropped 1 star as my experience ordering food for delivery was not the best, hopefully this is something they’ve improved since but I will only be visiting the shop from now on.

First time ordering and i was pleasantly surprised by authenticity of the food. If you know true Jamaican or Caribbean food, you will be very happy that you ordered from Dees Bakery. Everything was on point, tastes just like granddaddy used to make back in the trenches, bones and all to give it that exceptional flavour.

I ordered through just eat and my order came on time and the food was HOT, tasted delicious and fresh. The chicken patty was not my favorite but that was at no fault of the restaurant. I did love the banana bread and so did my 3 year old. I will be ordering again.

*** WORST WEST INDIAN FOOD, EVER!! *** Ordered through Just Eat and waited FOREVER to get my food. After calling them to find out how much longer my food will take, the woman on the phone just didn't care enough to give me an answer! Instead, she was just full of attitude!!! Possibly the worst customer service I've experienced! Now onto the food! The stew chicken was absolutely tasteless!! No flavour AT ALL!! And because of the ridiculously long wait for delivery, it was also not hot! All in all, this was a bad experience! I'll never be ordering from here again. I'll stick with my regular places - BROWN EAGLE or JERKYS. These two places provide an authentic experience of West Indian food. Giving this place even 1 star, is still too much. There should be an option for ZERO stars!

The patties, which we get 10-15 at a time, the hard dough bread, the bun and, according to my daughter and her friend, the fried chicken are all delicious here as well as the rice and peas, curry goat and oxtail stew. You have to check it out - a Caribbean gem.

Do not order through just eat for delivery, you'll have to wait forever to get the food, it will probably be cold and you'll get no apology for the food taking so long even if you live under a mile away. Same with collection, set the time to collect and the food wont even be prepared if you get there on time or late, they might not even have the food so they'll offer alternatives that cost less and no refund on the difference.

I love Dees lovely food Great service always. A must when I go to Enfield.

I received a totally different order. Trying to contact restaurant to correct this is a nightmare.. I have just spent £25 on food I don't eat. Not happy

Not even worth buying. Ordered an oxtail the meat was so dry and tough. There was 0 to none gravy either mostly rice. Very disappointed. Very low standards. Dont try charging your other customers more than what they're supposed to pay either. Kmt.

Ordered from here for the first and last time, order came incomplete phoned to address the matter. No sorry , no offer of anything just were human we make mistakes we will try and get it to you we don't know when. Curry goat was dry and chewy mostly bone sauce was imaginary there was so little of it , rice under cooked and unevenly cooked, dumpling raw in the middle. Hands down the worst Caribbean dining experience I've ever had the misfortune to endure. Save your money Buy else where.

The only thing that was effective was the delivery. They had missed a complete meal..fine accidents happen. I called the restaurant, told them that it was missing and this is the first time I have ordered from them. There was NO apology,just that mistakes can be made..."we are human too". I would not expect that when mistake has been made. They said they would send the food but don't know where and they are very busy. They are quick to take the money though! Now to talk about the food...the meat was dry!!! The rest was under cooked. First and last time I'll ever order from this place.

Ordered thru Just Eat,delivery was estimated one hour twenty minutes...that alone should have given me the hint but I decided to wait& I waited two hours after ordering,when I received the food was cold.this is the very was time I use this service!

Recently discovered this homely/family run business..when I go there, I ask them do u have any 'cheesy beef patties' ? if it's a yes, then they ask me, how many would I like ? I reply, by asking how many do u have ? Next levels 😎✌💓 if it's a no 😭 I will recover in time, to find a very good quality made substitute, that will also be as good value 😉

Visited here for the first time 3 weeks ago and was greeted by a very friendly, smiley young man. Ordered oxtail with rice and peas and a side order of fried plantain. He asked if I would feedback and hopefully come back as I normally go elsewhere Oxtail was good esp as it came with spinners and butter beans a rarity for most Caribbean restaurants/take outs. My only small complaint is that the oxtail was cut in small pieces as opposed to the whole 'tail' so you got tiny splints of bones and sharp edges. This evening I ordered in person, the same dish, service not as good as the first time but it wasn't bad Arrived home and the rice and peas was partially cooked as the rice itself was very grainy. The oxtail in same small pieces but very little flavour and no spinners this time. Very disappointed I called and reported it to a polite man who said he would look into it. I've tried and will probably give Dees a miss Sorry

Was sitting outside debating whether to go in or not in the end went in got a beef patty and a drink and then realised I made the right choice went back in got 3 more, so nice got quality for money I will be back,

Where do I start. So I ordered some food through just eat got my arrival time and I think that was roughly an hour but I was fine with that.... so the hour goes by no food..... then an hour goes by 😐 so I called up and asked what's taking so long (nicely) The man has the nerve to tell me they've been busy and they'll only now get my food ready then went on to ask me if I would like rice and peas or white rice even tho i had already selected my choice through just eat 😒 So I wait another hour and a half then the food comes ... The soup was nice but it only had one little bit of boney chicken inside... My curry chicken was alright but the next day it didn't smell right so that made me think it wasn't fresh. Will not be getting food from this shop again.

Amazing the food is cooked exceptionally in comparison to other west indian food shops and they have a good selection from variety. I this is the 4th or 5th time i have come here and it will now be my regular. If your picky with your food this will satisfy your taste buds

Small, but popular local Caribbean restaurant in Hertfordshire. Family run, the location is clean and brightly lit. Their well known patties are delicious, with a flaky crust. They provide a variety of fillings including veggie, lamb and beef. The staff are professional and friendly. They also serve traditional Caribbean dishes such as Curry Goat, Stewed Chicken and Oxtail. Prices are reasonable. I will definitely visit again.

The food is a 4 out of 10, delivery time is abysmal if you need food prompt, DONT CALL THESE GUYS. Never again

They food is standard- mix of Caribbean favourites done fairly well. One problem - I paid by touch debit card and was charged twice. On discovery I called up and the man hung up. No attempt to do the right thing. Be cautious to check change and when using cards. Lack of principles here

This place is a poor excuse for a Caribbean take away the food takes 2 hours to deliver and taste of nothing a waste of time and money they are always out of something and the food taste old and dry!!! Do not waste your time with this place! AVOID
