We booked a table for 9 but, when we arrived, were sent (not taken) to a table for 8, and it just continued going downhill from there. 10 minutes later, I had to get the attention of a member of staff to ask for menus. There were 5 adults and 4 children at our table, but the guy came back with no kids menus. We asked if they had a kids menu, and we got one. Literally one. Food arrived in dribs and drabs but, after another 10-15 minutes, neither of the starters my wife ordered (instead of a main) had appeared. When she asked and the waiter went to check, he returned to tell her “the chef forgot to make them, so we’ll take them off the bill”… I don’t know which half of that sentence is the most messed up but, unfortunately, that wasn’t the end of it. We ordered one portion of chicken, chips & cucumber and one portion of fish, chips & sweetcorn for the four children to share, and these dishes were put in the middle of the table with no extra plates provided. When we asked for plates for the children, we got two… for four children. We also did not get any sweetcorn as again they “forgot”! One of our party ordered the pork belly, which was served cold and inedibly gristly, so it was sent back and a promise to remove it from the bill was made. For obvious reasons, we didn’t stay for desert and just asked for the bill. When it arrived, the pork belly hadn’t been removed. There was no threat of customer service whatsoever. Nobody asked us if the food was ok, we had to ask for ketchup twice and were brought a tiny little dishful (about the size of a 50p piece) for 4 children to share. What an embarrassing shambles of an establishment. We’d been before under the previous management with no issues, but we definitely won’t be going again.

One member of staff was weird 😕 with her service. Very abrupt and cold 🥶 Ordered two pints of Level Head Pale Ale and it was £7.50 a pint! Extremely expensive for what it was and the area - if we were in Mayfair, okay but this is outer London and it is a Greene King pub chain. The pub has a good sized car park and front and rear beer gardens. The pub was once owned by King James the 1st and is a local community hub - apparently. I didn't get a nice feeling and won't be coming back. Considering there isn't that many pubs left in the area, it's a shame that the poor service will only lead to more pubs closing. You may spot a Tottenham Hotspur football player or two in there as the training ground is around the corner 😮

The Pied Bull Enfield is a strange restaurant. Food is not necessarily bad, but above all expensive. The Pied Bull Burger (with double Patty) is fine. Beer is expensive at £8 a pint. I'll pay for that downtown. I think the biggest disadvantage is the staff. If you ask questions they are quick and correct, but if you don't they don't clear things from other tables and they are mainly talking about things. And that's a shame, because if they change this attitude (simply buzzing the tables outside and inside), then you have a perfect (but somewhat expensive) pub/restaurant.

Lunch for 4 people. Steak sandwich was sliced roast beef, hand cut chips were reheated roast potatoes. Greek salad was ok so my friends said. Poor service had to ask for drinks & menus - gruby pieces of paper with food stains! No service after main - no drinks or dessert menu offered. Music head banging. Used to be such a lovely atmosphere and great food - Place was empty usually Fridays could never get a table as was so busy. Sadly won’t be returning - awful experience.

New management and a big improvement in our view! Especially with the food. The food is now fresh and more inventive as well as tasty. Dogs are very welcome and the atmosphere is as pleasant as it always was. We had the lovely Sunday lunch a couple of times now and, apart from the roast beef being a little overcooked for our taste, the lamb and the pork have been great! The vegetables and the trimmings were great too as were the sweets and starters. We recommend it

New management since beginning of May. New menu is limited, plus way overpriced.. Seared Salmon & mediterranean veg was really a small portion. Also expensive are the drinks, 2 Soda & lime juice cost £6.30. Soda in most pubs is cheap or free. After many years we won’t go back there. Joan Wright.

Visited last night for its "re-opening". Pub has been closed for a short while and a change of ownership has taken place. The place was packed, atmosphere was buzzing and we had live music also. Lots of happy punters, I think the staff were a bit overwhelmed by the sheer numbers. Lots of people coming back to enjoy a refreshing drink after a hot day. We had a 2 course meal and a couple of drinks, came to about £120. Food was good and very reasonably priced. Thanks Pied Bull.

On Sunday my 93 year old dad and 89 year old mum were taken for a special treat to the Pied Bull by their granddaughter. It was the worst meal they have ever been served. My dad was served a pile of unidentifiable mash with two small dried out sausages on top with gravy poured over the top. No vegetables and the parsnip chips which were supposed to come with the meal, on being served the food, were told parsnip chips were not served midday. The menu was very restricted, nothing like we had experienced on a previous visit, so mum had the only fish available, pollock, served at cod prices, tasteless and wet. The person serving was quite surly and disinterested when they said that they had not enjoyed their meal. So disappointing.

Twice I was refused because the bartender was too busy to make it and today he couldn't do it because he didn't have a clean glass to put it in. Really nice place, it's a struggle if your 6ft tall as the roof is very low, but all the beams have been protected with foam and brushed leather so it's not to hard on the head. Staff are nice and pleasant but could have a smile with the service Food was ok, i had a burger and was burnt but edible, decent portions, but the price is way to high for the quality and portion you get. This isn't the pubs fault, but it's a huge shame the pub just catches the ULEZ charge. This wouldn't be my first choice to eat at, but I would return.

The food was good but the service was a massive disappointment, the bar man was incredibly rude and tutted at us ordering drinks, making comments about us ordering due to the kitchen staff going on a break soon, and even snapped at my friend for offering a 20% tip due to him wanting the amount and not having to calculate it. Generally just made us feel unwelcome and an inconvenience for being there as customers, it was a massive let down on the experience and I wouldn’t return for this alone due to him being so unprofessional. A shame given that the food was quite good, it just ruined the atmosphere.

Booked a 2nd lunch visit to catch up with friends, having had a good experience the first time a few months back. However we will Not be returning, after what can only be described as the 'full fawlty towers experience '. If you like being shouted at from the minute you walk in, told you'll have to leave within an hour as they have a children's party booked in the adjoining conservatory, in an otherwise empty pub!!, then moved to the smallest table for party size we had, grubby menus for mains, no drinks/dessert menus just the staff shouting the options or showing you their ordering tablet with no prices, lack of customer service, decency and manners, generally feeling like you're being told off whenever you ask for something, and being asked for £100 more than the actual bill then this is the place for you!

Absolutely shocking service from start to finish. My family and I had been saying for a long time that we wanted to try The Pied Bull as it looks so lovely from the outside and has so much potential. However, our visit was one of the worst experiences we’ve had in any pub in Enfield. We all agreed the food was very tasteless (we all had roasts) - but to be honest, this wasn’t even our main issue with the pub. Everything seemed like an effort for the staff, our plates weren’t even cleared and we weren’t offered any dessert for around half an hour, so we decided to just get the bill and leave. To end our visit, we didn’t even get so much as a “thanks for coming, have a nice day”. Definitely won’t be returning.

I have been in massarella on quite few occasions, I was really happy with the quality of the drinks and the sweets before, but today I have been really disappointed. There were 3 ladies working, only 1 customer before me and I have waited for about 15 minutes to be served. The lady that made the so called oat milk latte did make no effort and the coffee turned out awful. I had the feeling I am drinking only the oat drink, coffee was non existent. Neither I could feel it or see it. My friend ordered cappuccino, the problem was the same, she could barely taste the coffee. I have also ordered a brownie. It was the so sweet, I couldn’t eat it. I have paid £4 for it and left it. The women working were so unwelcoming, almost rude. It was all over their faces they hated being there, I couldn’t imagine complaining about my order, I feel I was going to get killed in a cold blood. One thing I am sure about, I am not coming back, hated the coffee, hated the sweets and hated the hostile attitude of these “hard working individuals”. The boss to take a friendly advice, these people are killing your business, there are plenty of hard working people who would take their places and do a way better job, free these ladies to enjoy their retirement.
