Stayed on the park last year and this week found ourselves in the area so decided to pop back to the on-site pub. We enjoyed a nice cold beer in the sun on the terrace, lovely spacious area out the back of the pub and a great sun spot! We then ordered fish and chips I’m gluten free so it was lovely that I could enjoy these as not everywhere offers them gluten free. Now the batter was light and crispy and the fish - (or should a say whale!) was beautiful and plentiful. Comes with fresh lemon wedge, mushy peas and tartare sauce, oh and chunky chips - perfect! Well worth the £13 each. Staff are all really friendly and helpful, very busy but nothing is too much trouble for them. Thanks again and we’ll be back for sure!

Nice place but food is shocking just had fish and chips for £13 Chips were very hard and the fish was 90% batter I don’t know how you could slice a piece of fish so thin .I have never seen fish and chips this bad . Out of our party more food was left than eaten.

Menu is absolute tosh. Don’t bother. Crappy menu until 5pm and then it’s not much better for a great location I won’t be coming back to this place in a hurry. Did somebody say just eat?

Told on Wednesday pub quiz tomorrow! Arrived, Thursday after mentally preparing for said quiz only to find Leeds vs Norwich footfall game is on instead! Menu no good for vegetarian! Wasted £11.20 on two pints

After reading the reviews was very sceptical but for us 4 we all had brilliant meals and fantastic service could not fault any part of it

We both ordered the fish and chips (£12 pp). While the chips were a decent size and ok, both pieces of fish were probably one of the worst we’ve ever tried to eat! To call it fish would be a misnomer; it was in fact an inflated piece of thin batter, full of air and very little fish - certainly no more than a tablespoon full, probably less in one of our servings. I suggest the chef (who the bar person said would be advised of this issue) try himself before serving another from this batch. A chippie would never get away with serving this, it would soon out of business. Just awful and very disappointing as we were starving after a long journey.

Food okay but more like a cafe than a pub with sky comedy channel continually blaring away. 6pm on a weekday so very quiet

I visited with my family on Friday night after a session on the driving range. It was busy and there was a great atmosphere. Karen behind the bar could not have been more helpful. She was fab. We had the amazing pizzas with the best fries along with the burger and a couple of the kids meals. Really tasty and good value for money.

Our gorgeous kids bought us a break here for our 40th wedding anniversary we were quite disappointed . The reasons may seem small to some but expected more. Cheap uht milk No complimentary biscuits on arrival.A pack was provided for £5 No complimentary water. Ordered breakfast at 9.30am Hadn't arrived by 9.55 so when asked ,I was told rather sharply that it hadn't been forgotten even though everyone else was served.it then came out on toast burnt and inedible ! Come on rudding park .....what happened ?

Awfull food and over priced My daughter's Burger was the size of a meatball oh I wish I'd taken the pic sent it back for a actual Burger 10 pound for a pie and mash that u can buy at morrisons it's a joke

It's OK for taking kids and dogs, no real ale except a bottle but not told it was alcohol free..

Dirty and tired. No menu this season, the only meal that they can offer is on a night by night basis and dependant on want has been supplied by the hotel. Furnishing haven’t been cleaned, benches are dirty, covered in mud and dog hair and tables and chairs can be sticky and old chewing gum found stuck underneath tables. Management don’t seem to care. And should be ashamed. This club house used to be full and bouncing with life on a weekend with weekend/holiday visitors along with the seasonal site guests, but since they tried to be greedy with the beer prices and started to put on a reduced selection, over priced , underwhelming food menu people started to vote with their feet and stopped going their for their meals, opting to eat else where, and subsequently reducing the amount of times they go in for a drink. Last night at 9pm you were lucky if there were a dozen people in You feel very sorry for the bar staff as they are constantly embarrassed at having to apologise to customers for the lack of service that they are having to provide, their hands tied and are powerless to do anything else to try and improve the situation as it is all controlled by the hotel and management. “Rumour” has it that they are wanting the Deer House for the new Golf Clubhouse, and so are running the Deer house down so that they have the excuse to change it. Over all for a 4* holiday park what they are providing at the club house is very poor. Guests are constantly letting staff and management know that they are disappointed and annoyed at the constant downward spiral of facilities, services and care being provided now at the holiday park, but it’s now a waste of breath as the don’t care attitude from higher above is more and more blatantly obvious for all to see

Lovely pub with cozy corner and a warm fire. Food great. We ordered fish and chips and meat and potato pie dinners that went down nicely with a couple bottles of non alcholic lager and lemonades. Warm and welcoming atmosphere with friendly and very helpful staff. Will definitely call again. Highly recommend!

Food was just ok, not much choice and what there was is expensive and over priced. Staff were ok but nothing to write home about. Kids meal options were not very nice when they came. The actual pub itself lacks atmosphere. I wouldn’t eat here again. In fact it’s not really a pub, more like a room with a bar in next to a playground. Go elsewhere, there’s plenty of other options locally.

Limited food menu, but nice clean inviting pub/restaurant.

Opens for lunch at 12. Took the kids after using the outdoor pool. All of us hungry and excited for lunch outside. No staff on. Called the phone, still no staff. At 1205 staff member appeared. Lots of big sighs about new menu and panini machine needing to warm up. Couldn’t commit to when they would be able to serve us. Left it. So disappointing. Embarrassing to Rudding.

Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Facilities are spot on. Menu a little limited as is the selection of beers.

Lovely and warm pool, booking required due to covid and cost of £5 per head. Changing rooms could do with some tlc but the kids loved it and for how warm the pool is we couldn't complain! Recommended ☺️👍

Visited on a busy Sunday/Monday in the summer hols. Food was good. Drinks reasonably priced and a good range. 3 members of staff on all day who were fantastic. 2 gentleman came down from the main hotel to help out who were exceptionally polite and helped clear tables etc. Management, these guys worked their socks off.

It's difficult to judge fairly as it's the only facility on site, but service was friendly although few people (guests and staff alike) were adhering to the one way system in place to accommodate social distancing. We did order food, 3 meals from the children's menu which looked through together although they were just £6 a dish. The adult meals weren't much better.... the pizzas appear to be £1 Ristorante ones, the pie was overcooked so the base was hard and dry and the burger lacked all sauce and was equal to the pie base for dryness. In short, go, have a couple of drink, but don't order food.

Really enjoyed our visit. Fantastic staff that really go above and beyond to make sure you feel safe and happy. The food was great quality and didn’t take too long to arrive. Really like the app ordering. Very well set up. The garden is beautiful to sit in whilst the children are playing at the park or are swimming.

Stayed 1 night camping after lockdown was lifted. The bar was very good for social distancing. Temperature check and hand sanitiser as you enter. We sat in the beer garden. Renalto(bar man) was very accommodating and even brought a speaker outside. We ordered food online which was brought to our table. Not the cheapest for drinks but was a nice treat.

Lovely clean pub... All staff are friendly, polite and attentive..only fault bar prices are a bit pricey and need more menu choices but will definitely return

Service was slow, disorganised and haphazard. Other tables were complaining. Staff seemed to be trying their best but all appeared young and inexperienced. We ordered a wide variety of meals, some were ok but two burgers were plain bad I'm afraid. Overcooked and bland. Some of our party ordered twenty minutes before others but food came around 30 minutes after ours. The menu is pretty limited too so not sure why the struggle. A friend ordered guacamole and sour cream, paid for both. Then the staff came over and said no guacamole left, but never offered to refund it! They couldn't be bothered with asking for it, but you shouldn't have to! Beer selection is mediocre, only standard ale and lager available, and zero cask hand pull. I'd avoid and go off site or get a takeaway instead

A lovely place but unfortunately no pets allowed which was disappointing.

Average food very basic to be fair. Not in keeping with Rudding Park as a brand really. Pizza, burger and fish n chips.

Staff were friendly but not the pat efficient or on the ball. Place got a little rowdy and noisy at night. All good fun though. Found it off that a bar on a campsite doesn't serve food all day, especially during school holidays. The food on an evening was good though. Very tasty burgers.

Very small, no room to play games and I had to send my food back because it was undercooked. The helpful staff saved this from being a 1 star review.

Fantastic pub grub delicious Pizza ,fish and Burgers only thing we didnt enjoy was the skinny fries they were overcooked thicker chips would of been better but still giving 5 stars as it was so tasty.

The pub itself could possibly do with a revamp as it is a little tired but that is the only negative here. Super friendly and efficient staff, good beer and great food. We had the chicken caesar salad which was definitely well above pub food standard and not overpriced either. We would certainly eat here again. Don't expect a vast menu but what there is will be worth it.

We were on holiday in the park and decided to try the pub.it started badly when the barman gave me the wrong change,when questioned about he used his poor grasp Of English to alter the price so my change was correct no bill given.we noticed staff He knew got used portions while customers did not.the menu was rubbish so we decided to get a take out portion of chips to make ham salad and chip sandwiches in our camper.we were charged £3-50 for a hand full of reheated chips.the park was good for camping but the pub lets it down.i know your on holiday but that does not entitle them to rip you off

Food overpriced poor choice and poor quality

Great pub next to the our door pool...a fabulous set up. Nice our door seating...pool room...snug and good food. The had z kids quiz on the time we were there...Great but hard to heard over the very loud football on the TV. The only downfall is the prices....very expensive food and drinks. £5.50 for a pint. £11.95 for a pizza....not huge either. Nachos £5....but you have to pay extra to have anything on them! Lovely place just be prepared for high prices.

Overpriced for average food and cheap beer as an example £3.20 for a Bottle of Black Sheep beer. Perhaps a better description would be Deer House Children's Playground !!!

Visited here when staying at Rudding Park hotel, we visited 1pm and the pub was dirty and untidy... plenty of plates and empty glasses! Staff were pleasant but looked unorganised and inexperienced. Gin and tonics were served in John smiths half pint glasses! Our son used the accompanying pool as hotel guests could use it complimentary, was literally packed, pool was warm and he enjoyed it!!!! I didnt!

Great campsite pub just needs to check its volumes? Was serving half pints in little plastic water cups. Otherwise nice pub...

Is my second visit to this site and everything once again was faultless.The Double burger definitely offers the wow factor and it tasted amazing, the kids had pizza for tea and we took the rest home as they were massive, when the waiter (couldn't get his name) offered my kids jumped saying yes please. Great Place, Great food. Highly recommended.

Not a bad place. Friendly staff, decent selection of drinks at standard pub prices. Food was what you'd expect good pub grub. I think the place is however too small for the amount of people on the site. If your not there quite early, you might dip out for a table.

Nice family pub on a campsite, nicely decorated.

NYE was very efficiently run & the staff couldn’t do enough for you - the food was all hot & our main course chicken dish was cooked perfectly apart from the roast potatoes which were over cooked - the cheese board was amazing & the bacon sarnies which were brought out at around 10pm ish were very well received after a few hours of dancing/drinking ! All in all a very enjoyable end to 2017 !

Great little place, family pub with swimming pool and children's activities. A pub menu with enough options to chose from, definitively recommended.

Food is expensive, WiFi is ok but the vinegar jug is a discrase it floods your food.

Expensive... but to be expected. I love bringing the kids here to swim and have drink afterwards. We've never eaten here but there's a good choice of drinks for both adults and kids and a playground.

2 x fish n chips which had no taste at all

Food was beautiful however, poor service. Waited over 1 hour for food to be told certain produce unavailable to only find out our 2nd choice was not available off what is already a limited menu.

Ha pasado un tiempo desde que he revisado los ciervos de una casa, así que he pensado que es buena como siempre! Normalmente self-catering cuando estamos en el parque de ciervos en el pop que casa o la Torre del Reloj de vez en cuando para un regalo. Como era sábado y el camping estaba lleno, nos esperábamos un poco de espera, pero estaba bien para ver las familias felices disfrutando de una noche sin preocupaciones en el pub y otros donde comer fuera de sus pequeños puedan jugar en las hamacas. Mi marido disfrutó de pescado el pub es especial y patatas fritas y tuve un bistec, ambos con una excelente presentación. Siempre es relajante en uno de los excelentes restaurantes rudding park cuando estás en o visitar este maravilloso lugar.

Gran lugar, bonito jardín de cerveza, los precios están bien, piscina exterior junto al pub. La comida es buena, con algunos menús diferentes y un buen personal. .

Mi familia y yo hemos ido a muchos campings de todo el país, pero tengo que decir que nunca encontré a una instalación como la Casa de los ciervos.

No se queja de las bebidas pero puedes queja sobre el precio y la comida.

Tardó un poco en los clientes se den cuenta. Selección limitada de comida. No hay conocimiento de gluten. Al principio dijeron en 11. 40 am que almuerzo a las 12 del mediodía, luego cambiaron de que a las 13:00 horas. Tiene algo de una tienda para mi niño afortunadamente.

We went to the Deer House Family Pub for lunch during our stay. The place was very busy but the bartender helped make our food so we didn't have to wait so long. The food was great and the only complaint I have is that the plates they brought were not cleaned properly. They had been through the dishwasher but still had grease marks on them.

Great staff know how to have a laugh. Cosy place didn't try the food but was told it was really nice but portions were to small. Could do more to the park alot of space still for stuff to be added. Quiz at night could be run better but all in all loved it

Okay for food and bit deer for drinks

Great food and good facilities for kids with adjacent games room. Defo recommend the pizza and fish and chips. Good house wine. Only thingy don't like is2 giant TV screens, would prefer one in games room if at all. Nice outdoor area with small park and table tennis table. Also right Nextdoor to outdoor pool, great in summer.

It's right by the pool and there's a young kids playground. This, together with being in walking distance to the camping pitches, means that parents can have a couple of beers despite being on holiday with their kids. The beer isn't bad, at the expected inflated prices.

Nice food and menu with plenty of choices. The service was good and it's a nice setting for families with kids; if a little pricey.
