This is by far the best Fish & Chips shop in Redhill. The shop is very clean and the staff are welcoming, polite & friendly. The fish is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The chips have that old school taste. I would highly recommend this Chippy to anyone!

Cold fish and chips, and would have appreciate enough chips for over £4.50 to feed 1 person. Unfortunately it was just about enough for a child.

Absolutely shocking!! Chips were not great and saveloy was disgusting.....and the prices - not sure what caused the sore a** - the food or the price!! why is it, all the 5 star reviews are left by new google users - just stating

Ordered 1 large and 1 medium chips. Got 2 medium and also ordered gravy but got none! Have ordered before a d received wrong pie but didn't bother to leave review

When cooked fresh can be a lovely bit of fish . But Jimmy crankeys sister with the hat and red cheeks really need to cheer up wat a misery she is ! Chips not the greatest all little chips and crispy no potato in side unless I keep getting bottom of barrel. Actually think there's a lot of false reviews on here noticed every good review is by someone doing there 1st ever review bit strange

the quality of the food was brilliant but they have stretched the meaning of the word portion to an absolute limit! some of the fish bites were tiny and definitely shouldnt of counted towards the 6 meaning we felt it wasnt value for money

Awful, the food tasted like it had been fried in old oil! We are left with a nasty taste in our mouths and 35.00 lighter for the privilege. Won't be going back!!

it was delivered with the fish missing and instead of one porton of chips 2 when i called the shop was told i would have to reorder the fish again and pay again and get a refund ? disgraceful

It took over 30 mins for the order to actually get picked up by the shop, the chips were so soggy, as was the batter on the sausage. Why do you put them in a cardboard box?? It makes no sense.

Made a Just Eat order 349837003 on 23rd July and to be fair the large cod was really nice but I had a steak pie which looked really old inside with no gravy and dried pieces of meat. Still having stomach problems now ! I really shouldn’t have eaten it but it was a long day and my hunger got the better of me. AVOID the pies

Great service! So lovely! They are always so welcoming and chatty. The lunch time meal is a lifesaver when we are on our lunch breaks! Especially when we convince ourselves we have no money, but realise we can actually afford it cause it’s so cheap. It’s great.

Updated: Was annoyed to be told they were closed and couldn’t serve at just after 2pm having walked in a few seconds before closing so left a review accordingly. But was then served chips a few minutes later so all good - appreciate it.

Not keen on the chips. Seem too light coloured and fluffy and not golden enough.. sorry prefer longer cooked. Cod and scampi fine. Staff good.

I don't usually do reviews but felt you may like to know what I thought of your fish and chips. I've been twice in 2 weeks, fish is really good, the best I've had in the area. But the chips are appalling. First time I thought it may be bad luck, it was around 5 o'clock and I actually wondered if they were reheated leftovers from the night before. Like cardboard, empty and tasteless. I gave it another go as the fish was so nice but the chips were still dreadful. You really should deal with this as cooking good chips is not rocket science! I won't be back but you need to know why you're losing customers.

Didn’t arrive at all! I will be contacting BBC watchdog as Deep Blue have said it’s not the first time this has happened. Also we have had problems with you in the past with no delivery and nor finding the address. Not acceptable

Staff cant string a sentence together, nor can they do a simple job. Last 2 times I have visited they could barely take my order as busy chatting amongst themselves, and food was disgusting. Certain people in life just don't want to make the effort, and they all seem to be at deep blue

l was really disappointed with my fish and chips they were cold and the onion rings were cold and greasy.

I was overcharged for fish and chips the cod was small not very tasty and £21 for small cod and chips. Won't be going there again. Very poor.

Popped here just before they closed on Sunday evening, not expecting to even be able to order anything. The two male staff members working were so friendly and there was a good variety of food still left, which they kindly gave me a discount on. They even made me some mushy peas despite having sold out! Brilliant customer service and put a smile on my face - and the food was delicious as always. Will be back very soon!

Absolute no go, never again, I felt like a piece of dog muck that someone had walked in while being served, the man (not gentleman) behind the counter was staring at me while waiting for my order, and was completely arrogant, as I was trying to make up my mind of what I wanted. Placed my order for pie and chips, truly not worth the money, the pie was drier than Sister Mary’s fudge, the chips had about 50,000 grams of salt, no thank you of any sort from the staff. Truly arrogant people, I’m guessing they don’t like us brummies being there

I came in tonight to order cod and chips, it was lovely and cooked to perfection. Although the customer service was even better. I had to wait for my fish but in the mean time was having a lovely chat with a young woman. At the end of the conversation she asked if I could leave a review so here we are. I asked for her name and it was Danielle. Excellent customer service and excellent food. 100% would recommend.

We had the loveliest experience- we were clearly first timers and he took such great care of us and was patient as we chose and recommended what to get. Wonderful! And the food was amazing! The fish was so moist and flaky! Fried were substantial and perfect! And we loved the frickles!!

All good but the bottle of water with the kid's meal wasn't included.

It wasn’t overly late but it wasn’t warm enough to eat without microwaving. I think we’ll collect next time, an hour from order to delivery is fine if it’s hot but it wasn’t. Nice enough but you lose the crunch when you have to microwave!

It's not bad but sadly they have stopped using Pukka Pies and serve a different brand that isn't as nice / well filled

We had a lovely meal from here on Wednesday evening - feeding 5 people, portions were good, food tasted lovely, staff were friendly and welcoming - only downfall is the price.

Had meal from Deep Blue tonight. It is usually Russian roulette unfortunately depending if its a good or bad meal. The last few meals (fish and chips) to be honest have been overly greasy and made me think that the chips could have been redipped and cooked again from lunchtime service. The fish is always lovely, it's just a shame the chips mostly always seem to let them down.. Also be aware that Deep Blue use Palm Oil to cook with... This can cause stomach upsets in some people...

I have been a regular customer here, every week we buy here but after today this will be the LAST TIME! So i ordered haddock got home and it was hard, couldn’t chew! Was ringing the shop many times and no answer. So I had to go back down there, the old looking hard face woman in there approached me with attitude because she saw the box in my hand, she went to the cook and explained to him and his response was ‘oh that’s how haddock is supposed to taste so give it back to her, so I said no it’s not how can it when it can’t chew! Then he was huffing and puffing like a child, and said I will do another one but it’s going to taste the same, which he did and guess what!! He done another one but it was so small like a child’s fish! Then the hard face woman handed me the box (without a paper bag) and didn’t say nothing. But anyway I put it in the bin because it had a very raw smell. I shouldn’t of even been eating from them anyway because it always has a funny smell in this shop and none of the staff have on hair nets (including the cook) sweating so you can imagine all that sweat from his head is dropping and frying with the food🤢 I will now travel to Reigate sea salt! STAY AWAY FROM THIS DISGUSTING SHOP!!!!

Driver left the food on the doorstep without knocking - I only realised when I checked for update and it said delivered.

The cheeseburger we asked for had no cheese and burgers were rock hard overcooked even our dog struggled to chew on it and was thrown into the box and scattered everywhere, the chips were rock solid the dog couldn’t chew it and the cod was hard the savaloy was cold sausage in batter was hard and the pie was bone dry with no gravy left in it for being overdone. The service was very poor and the atmosphere was as though we were in a morgue they might as well have been wearing black. £38.00 and 90% of it was thrown away. we will never order from deep blue at 2, Linkfield Road, Redhill again. Something needs to be done about this fish and chip shop.

First time we’ve visited here and the chips was lovely and fresh, the fish was cooked perfectly and the server Paul was really helpful in the knowledge of what foods my daughter could eat due to allergies. He was polite and friendly. Great value for money, we will be returning

Disappointed with my order last night - small cod and chips and plaice with small chips - the portion sizes were incredibly small, much smaller than usual. I wondered if they’d mistakenly given me a child’s portion. Not worth the money and do not like feeling I’ve been ripped off.

The fish was good and the batter crispy, the chicken nuggets were tasty, the chips were anaemic looking but hot, the meat pie was nearly inedible as it had been over cooked so had no gravy and needed a steak knife to it through the pastry!

Went in for takeaway order was WRONG tryed ringing them I understand they are busy will go into the shop tomorrow and explain VERY DISAPPOINTED sorry won't go back

Order was cold,items were missing from the order and when the store was contacted,was told nothing could be done, manager was heard in the background not even attempting to fix the problem. Wont be ordering again!

I’ve used this takeaway before but tonight very disappointed We were a walk-in ordered small cod portion scampi and large chips. Waited accordingly then took home in a large takeaway bag without checking When we got home(3mins) chips cold and no cod!! My partner returned after trying to phone(no reply) She was given the cod and extra chips with apologies Not too happy about the smell in shop either

First time using this restaurant, the quality was okay, however a large portion of chips, which was not a large portion compared to all other chip shops and was pale in colour was £5.19 So value for money gets 1 stars. Would I use this place again, no, because we would need to buy a large and regular chips at a cost of nearly £10……

I decided to finally give it a try again and I wasn’t disappointed this time (last few times my orders had missing items). A bit pricey but good portions, tasty and hot food. Serving staff - Monika - was very friendly, she get my order ready quickly and made sure all the items are in the bag! I will definitely come back soon on Friday’s night.
