Lovely manager from Helmsley served me today with the fryer Erica thanks ladies best I have had here

Excellent service by the staff, Erica was particularly helpful and fabulous to chat with while awaiting my very tasty food!

We always go to deep blue every Thursday for lunch and the food is brilliant. We always get friendly service from Erica and the team. The lunchtime snack box is really good value and they are always accommodating with any little changes. Lovely fish and chips.

Ordered using uber eats, ordered 2 large fish, large chips and mushy peas, when delivered was a different person to what app said, fish was tiny and cold, chips cold and hard ........ mushy peas was the best thing ...... spent nearly £30 to feed the bin ........ won't be using again

Had fish and chips today and it was dreadful,not one fork full of fish it was only batter with a thin layer of dried fish.

I ordered my regular delivery for Friday evening between 6-6-30, it finally arrived @ 6-50, cold! Iv'e spent a lot of money here so I will be looking at all other options in the future!!

Order online just a simple order fish chips curry Not rocket science Meal took ages to arrive only to be missing the curry Phoned the shop to be told he was sorry would be another 25 minutes to get my curry so would refund ,I wouldn't have ordered if I didn't want curry Food is expensive for what it is staff are clearly incompetent unhelpful wouldn't order from this restaurant again if they refunded the whole amount Garbage don't bother if I was you

Order food on line for 7 o’clock as I walked through the door I was greeted by Carole very cheery and happy and Harry was just putting my food in the boxes, so bang on timing and all very polite.

We’ve visited twice in the last few weeks for takeaway fish and chips as we’ve just moved house and on both occasions the food was really tasty and the staff were really friendly and efficient. The young lady who served us the first time was really friendly and helpful, and the second visit was the manageress from Helmsley and she was super friendly and polite too. Would strongly recommend

Deep Blue Beverley is our take away of choice despite being in a neighbouring town. Our children are picky eaters and never leave a scrap. The children's meals are an ideal size and have never failed to satisfy. The fish is excellent, the batter is always light and crispy. Always check to see what might be on the specials menu, there might be something worth trying. We order online for collection, where you select your time, invariably the next time is within half an hour. Once, when stuck in traffic, I received a phone call to check I was on my way despite the shop actually closing. A member of staff waited for me to arrive. We have never received a bad meal.

A little pricey, but as is most fish and chips now. Food is of a good standard and cooked to order. Staff were friendly and courteous throughout. The time to get food from ordering was pretty good, but the shop was busy when I went in, so not unexpected. This would have been a 5 star review but there were no offers and I have a large family. Across the road you can get pizza deals etc. so is this an option.

Our local one. Never had any issues till yesterday. Came to last orders which is fair enough most of the offers wasn't available on the menu. Ordered fish strips for my partner and was absolutely shocked what I was served and paid money for. Instead of 6 fish strips as advertised on menu, I have got leftovers which looked like burnt ends of fish tail mixed with chips (bare in mind I didn't ask for a chips) on the very bottom of a box. I mean, I would be embarrassed to give it to a customer not mentioned charge for it. However, was told by the staff that's how they serve it 🤷‍♀️ no doubt I request a refund. So disrespectful

Deep blue fish and chip shop is a good Chippy. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. You can eat in there is a little restaurant if you want tea and bread and butter with your meal. The fish is mostly cooked fresh to order, although when it's busy, they usually have some ready. There are plenty of other dishes fish cakes sausages, and the homemade patties are excellent, just the right amount of Sage for my liking.

Grabbed fish and chips from deep blue which were great, collected my order and staff were very pleasant. Nice crispy batter, tasty fish and good chips. Will try some of the other items next time, certainly worth a try.

Fantastic chippy with fresh ingredients and piping hot fish and chips. I ordered the fish strips (6 pieces) of which I received 8. They were well fried in a light batter and beautiful fresh haddock. It was only £5.69. I also got a small chips (£2.79) which was more than enough with the fish for a large adult. My two mates had a large cod and chips each, which were huge with chips. The curry sauce was also very tasty. Competitive prices and friendly staff make this chip shop a must visit if you are in the local area. I cant understand the negative reviews. If I'm back in the future I will certainly be back here.

Went in for chips curry sauce. No curry, no gravy and no mushy peas. Chips were over cooked on the outside, undercooked on the inside. Few chips eaten then straight in the bin, waste on 3 quid. Worst chippy in Beverley.

Disappointing, the restaurant was closed when I visited, one Wednesday afternoon, around 2pm. According to the specified opening hours, it should have been open.

Shocking. I lined up for 5 mins just to be told the 6.99 fish and chips deal wasn't on, even though the sign clearly said it was. The girl just said sorry it needs taking down. I'm sure this is illegal.

Ordered from here, we decided to get a large haddock, a large sausage and chips to share with my daughter. This was not a large fish at all. It was really dry and overly fishy tasting. The sausage was nice... probably the only positive. The total order for 3 things plus delivery was just short of £20 crazy

So one I never got it and I will not purchase any more

We ordered for delivery it doesn’t take too long to arrive and is always hot when it gets here! It is quite pricey BUT I think it’s worth the money!! I would recommend to anyone 😃

Picked up some chips while we were away after a cold day out 1st of May. They were lovely you can have chips spice. Sadly they had run out of patties but they looked amazing as well. Great value for money.

Popped here after being let down for lunch with a friend (and it was on the way back to my car). I could smell the fish and chips! Got a small fish and chips - well worth it. Cooked fresh to order, and with the option of open, wrapped or in a box, I made sure it was hot until I got back to the car in a box. Great fish and chips!

We have just moved to the area and ordered 3 x light bite meals. They were all good portion sizes, the Haddock had no skin on either which was a bonus and tasted great. The chips were nice too and they were all not too greasy. The staff were polite and professional. I would definitely recommend and will be back every Friday.

Selected ASAP delivery. Estimated 45 minutes and came in 10! Absolutely stellar as I was starving! Food was great as usual. Seemed to have got a fair few more chips that usual too. Happy days!
