Se mudó aquí, hace casi veinte años. Frente de la casa genial. Ambiente encantador, Grupos grandes o pequeños bienvenidos. Hacen el mejor arroz de coco. Los especiales de los chefs son encantadores. Probé la mayoría de ellos y me aventuré a ir a las opciones de menú normales.

Realmente disfrutamos de nuestra primera visita a Deedar. Una cálida bienvenida nos recibió y un servicio rápido. El restaurante estaba ocupado temprano un viernes por la noche, que tomamos como una buena señal. Pronto descubrimos por qué. Toda nuestra comida era de muy alta calidad, fresco y sabroso. Nos encantó y no podemos esperar a volver. Como punto diminuto, aunque no pequeño el restaurante es acogedor, digamos. Las mesas no están tan separadas, lo que no es un problema, pero crea un ambiente ligeramente bullicioso. Muy, muy recomendable.

Siempre una bienvenida amable con un menú fabuloso de buena calidad y muy bien valorado. Es un restaurante de tomar sus propias bebidas y eso sin duda ayuda a mantener el costo bajo e incluso tienen una bebida al aire libre al lado.

Called in for a takeaway and ordered Garlic Chilli Chicken and Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi. We had Nan and rice too. The Nan was of a soggy consistency, the jalfrezi had no chilli or pepper, just big slices of onion. Neither curry tasted right. The following day we were ill. The quality of food varies at Deedar and this is a time when the food is poor. I am going to give this a miss next time I fancy a curry.

Massively disappointed. We were so pleased when the Deedar reopened in the Spring. However, our recent experience was poor. I’ve had basha prawns on every occasion since I went first there with my wife, friends and family. The number of prawns has been reduced, the tails have been left on. I did complain to a member of staff, but no attempt to mollify me was made. My grandson’s Madras was so poor, he left much of it. My son’s curry was fine, as was my starter and my wife’s tandoori. However, we shall not be going again.

Very good menu, good quality and tasty food. Good service will go again. Very popular. Good location, good ambiance

Dropped in recently for meal whilst in the area, after seeing the 4 star review. Not overly impressed, portions small, service not great. Have been to much better places not too far away and wish I'd gone back to one of those. Seeing the recent reviews, perhaps something has changed? Shame as in lovely location.

Went tonight for the first time since the Deedar reopened. I was very disappointed, had been looking forward to revisting. Not the greatest experience. Service was not like it used to be, and food was disappointing. A portion of chips wouldn't have filled my 2 year old grandson, and fat and gristle on the chicken was very off putting.

The restaurant is very nicely decorated with friendly attentive staff. This was a boys night out so being able to bring your own drinks helps to bring the cost of the evening down. There were 7 of us and we all had starters and main courses. Without exception all of us thought our food was first class. I had king prawns for my main and they were large and beautiful. Very fresh tasting with quality ingredients. Definitely NOT your run of the mill curry experience. Would definitely recommend if you are a curry person.

4 small king prawns and 4 small cubes of chicken. Sauce nice value for money poor you need 2 meals to have a average balti elsewhere

Over the last 15 years on/off I've been going to this restaurant, best Indian restaurant I've ever eaten in, lovely, warm welcoming staff, am devastated to read it's now closed.

Sadly after really upping its game and being the ‘go to’ curry house locally Deedar has now been sold and is now closed. It is understood that a larger chain is taking over in due course.

This village restaurant has transformed itself into a really good place to eat excellent Indian food in a relaxed and friendly atMosphere. Sadly I gather it’s changing hands soon being bought out by a premier chain so go whilst you can at very sensible prices

Second visit in the last couple of months and it is okay, nothing special as you would expect from an Indian restaurant. Felt a bit rushed on both occasions. Would not choose to go as it is not local to me. It's okay. Nothing more, nothing less.

“Recipes from my travels” visited Deedar Indian cuisine for the first time last night 29/3/22, for my Sister, Lorraine’s 60th Birthday meal. And Lorraine’s Children, Samantha and Gary couldn’t have picked a better place. Set in the heart of Barnt Green Village, Deedar Indian Cuisine was established in 1993 and had a complete refurbished in 2018. The outside of the restaurant was smart and inviting and inside was absolutely spotlessly clean. As usual, with everywhere I seem to go, I got there early but the staff were very attentive and polite, even offering me a drink while I waited. When all the guests arrived, 9 adults and 4 children, including a couple of toddlers, we all sat down to check out the well presented menu. Vegetarian, vegan and meat dishes were readily available, including traditional, House specialty and chef’s signature dishes. I’m not going to bore you with everything we had, all I want to say is that I had the Malayan Chicken Biryani with keema rice and without doubt it was one of the best I’ve ever had. The freshness of the ingredients shone through the dish. In fact everyone enjoyed their meal to the fullest and all agreed with me, that it was exceptional food. I must also add the staff were very attentive to the Childrens welfare, with warning of the hot dishes etc. All in all, I would recommend the Deedar to anyone who is visiting the area, the locals are surely blessed to have such a restaurant on their doorstep. The restaurant can cater for individuals, couples and larger groups such as ourselves and with fine disability access, it has everything you need for a stunning meal in a very relaxed atmosphere. It also adheres to covid guidance, with hand sanitizer available as soon as you walk into the restaurant. The Deedar isn’t licensed, but you are welcome to bring your own alcohol. Soft drinks and non alcoholic lager was available, so for teetotallers like myself and guests who are driving this was a welcome bonus. The Deedar has Free Wi-Fi, car park and various offers available and also a delivery service to the local area. We all had an amazing birthday celebration for my sister, which was made even more special by the quality of food and staff. Many thanks.

Despite the curry being nice I feel as a customer who spent 16 pound for a meal I should've at least had ONE poppadom added, also no mint yoghurt or bag of lettuce which seems to be a standard in most curry houses, underwhelming.

Booked for Christmas dinner months ago and the experience didn’t disappoint, in fact it exceeded our expectations. We’ve used this restaurant a lot and today exceeded previous visits, to say they were on their A-game doesn’t cover it, everything was super fresh and cooked to perfection, service was immaculate and cheery despite everyone working Christmas Day. Absolutely no negatives!!

We rocked up at 9.55 and they had shut the restaurant. We stood there with our gins in a tin and they felt sorry for us and let us have a meal (but to be quick) Can I say that is was the best Indian meal I have had in a long long time: the chicken was incredible.(-actually so was the naan bread)Staff were so friendly and we appreciate so much the fact they let us sit down for a meal.In summary. Fantastic trendily staff and amazing food. Visit soon

Second visit in the past fortnight and both nights have been absolutely first class. The staff are brilliant hosts and could not make you feel more welcome. The restaurant is immaculate. The range of choice on the menu is mind blowing and every mouthful of food consumed by 13 of us over two nights was delicious. Undoubtedly the best Indian restaurant we’ve ever visited and our thanks to all the Deedar team.

Me and my husband went out on a spontaneous meal and came across this restaurant. We loved the greetings upon our arrival, it was a cosy environment and the service was first class.The food was mind blowing and exceeded our expectations, we loved all the curries we had! The portions were generous, so much so we took them away for takeaway to enjoy for the next day. It was such a lovely time, and we’ll definitely be returning back for more! Booked by phone for a Monday night. Asked if Curry Club offer still available having seen the poster some time ago. Assured it was still valid and it was £14.95.On arrival we were given a menu with no mention of the offer. Had to ask for separate menu. We asked for a glass of beer and a glass of wine that was supposedly included in the offer, only to be told they no longer had a licence but we could bring our own.Decided not to stay as felt let down by the promotion boldly displayed throughout the restaurant and on the menu. Either reduce your prices or remove misleading information from your menus

First visit for birthday takeaway. Easy to order online. Fantastic selection. Given approx time of 30 mins for collection. Lovely reception by staff waited for couple minutes whilst they collected from the kitchen. Daughter complained in the car home about heat from bags. Best food ever and still hot. Will definitely be getting future Indian takeaway from here.

Dined in tonight with my Mrs and two girls on a off chance passing through was absolutely Devine.. 10/10 staff was perfect food was fresh and tasted amazing all piping hot including the plates a lot of TLC has been put in to the whole set up we will be back asap many thanks for the evening James

During lockdown just fancied a good Indian meal and this was such a disappointment. Firstly they told us to collect in 35 minutes but were kept waiting a further 15 minutes. When we got home the meal was not hot and the naan had been placed in a plastic bag so it was soggy, the dips for the poppadums had been diluted so much they were thin and had little flavour. The biryani lacked flavour and the accompanying curry sauce was also thin and was more like a tomato sauce. The sheek kebab was very good and the only good thing about this meal.

My other half and I came in last week with some friends on a Monday. We were unaware of the Monday offer so it was a pleasant suprise. Food was spot on and very good value

Teníamos comida para llevar desde aquí cada semana durante el encierro y la calidad de la comida era siempre 10/10. Desde la flexibilización de las restricciones que hemos visitado varias veces, lo recomiendo encarecidamente la comida y el servicio espléndidos. Mucho mejor servicio y mejor comida que otras casas de curry en el área local. Recomiendo encarecidamente el especial de Deedar como plato principal.

Went here with my family for my husband’s birthday. Service was excellent and the food was outstanding. With the 50% discount it was amazingly great value for money. Will definitely be returning even without the discount.

We have been here many times but Saturday 21 food was good but spoilt by poor service one member of staff very rude Disappointing

After a few hours of eating a prawn curry last night I was sick three times I’d only eaten toast all day. My belly was aching and it wasn’t a nice curry my partner had a vegetable curry and still had a tummy ache AVOID.

Scored 3 because the food was nice. But the staff are so miserable . No interaction with the customer. It's the only Indian in the village, so they have got a monopoly. Will use only for takeaways in the future !

El ambiente, la comida y el servicio especialmente, son consistentemente buenos. Sus langostinos Basher, que no he tenido en ningún otro lugar, son para morirse. Pero no son para los pusilánimes. Tienen una gran patada. Siempre me sorprende cuando les sirven que la cantidad parece algo modesta. Luego, cuando me acerco al final, me pregunto si voy a lograr terminarlos. Pero siempre lo hago. Excelente fayre.

First vist was brilliantand every visit since, polite and helpfull staff, really know there own menu.Food is packed full of flavour and fresh ingrediants, really hits the spot.The atmosphere is nice and relaxed, the layout is great.It also needs to be said, i feel that you get high end service for competative prices, which also make the Deedar a great place to visit.Great atmosphere, friendly staff who are always helpfull and the main reason to is the food, which is second to none.

We eat here regularly due to the consistent quality of the food and lovely warm welcome our family receives. Deedar’s is recently refurbished and has a stylish, contemporary feel to it, which we love, and is always spotlessly clean. My father usually indulges in the Naga chicken, which he says has a lovely kick to it! ( his favourite) whilst my husband and I are very partial to the Tandoori Chicken Balti’s. I add mushrooms to my dish. Washed down with nice Ice cold Cobra draught Beer, perfect combination! If it’s fantastic Indian cuisine and excellent service you’re after, this is the place for you! We highly recommend a visit we wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Went here Sunday night on the recommendation of a neighbour instead of our usual choice in Alvechurch. We went about 6.45 pm but there were only two tables occupied; so very little atmosphere (for the whole of our visit). Nice contemporary decor and a welcome from the guy who I assume was the manager/owner but the staff were sullen and apparently indifferent. Food was very good indeed, but its the whole picture that counts. Wont be going again unless in a group (where we can create our own atmosphere!).

Al hospedarnos localmente, organizamos un 'para llevar' para nuestro grupo de siete. El servicio era un poco lento, pero no es un problema importante. La comida estaba en porciones generosas, pero cada plato era suave y muy similar en sabor, color y textura. No es lo que esperábamos de una casa de curry de Midlands.

Visitamos aquí para celebrar un cumpleaños, reunirse en su comida especial del lunes por la noche. Muy buena relación calidad-precio y una comida encantadora 15, creo! Para poppadom starter principal arroz nan más una pinta o vino! ! Brill value - sacó la torta también. Buen servicio - luz hermosa y espaciosa lugar elegante también! !

Ambiente muy agradable, excelente servicio. Comida picante para aquellos que la deseen, como yo, mi plato de camarones Basha fue excelente. Mi esposa prefiere algo más blando, y ellos también se ocupan de eso. Mi plato parecía insustancial cuando apareció por primera vez, pero ellos saben lo que están haciendo. Fue más que suficiente. El plato de mi esposa, biryani, era demasiado sustancial, al menos para ella.

Mi esposa y yo pensamos que tendríamos un cambio de las casas de curry en Catshill, mi esposa encontró esta casa particular de curry en Barnt Green al llegar nos mostraron nuestros asientos acomodados y luego vino el camarero. Teníamos una botella de Prosecco que era Encantador, pedimos algunos poppadoms y nuestro plato principal llegó más tarde, el servicio fue genial. No me puedo quejar de nada. No nos gustó ningún desierto, así que tomamos un café irlandés. Hice un comentario al respecto: nunca pude obtener la crema para sentarme encima, así que El camarero me mostró cómo hacerlo. Una buena noche, la factura era buena, solo más de 80, así que no está mal, volveremos. El personal fue muy bueno.

Not sure why I never visited before now but lovely food, welcoming staff and great atmosphere. Can see this place being a regular to my family and friends.

Went with my friend on a Friday night without booking. Fortunately, we turned up very early and got a table straight away as they soon got very busy.

Everything perfect for a great family curry night. Tandoori chicken always a hit with the kids and they loved the prawn balti sag as well this time. Service very good as always. Thanks

Just a short note to say a huge thank you to the staff at Deedar, we have visited several times, and have never been disappointed. Went for my Birthday, the staff there could not do enough to make us feel welcome. Its makes a difference from the start when you are met with a smile, and greeted with Happy Birthday, and a hand shake. The food was absoloutely amazing, the team kept an eye on our glasses and nothing was too much trouble.

12 of us went to celebrate 2 birthdays, never been before and definitely won’t be going again.

A perfect spot after a few drinks in the Vic across the road. This place is busy for good reason. Food and staff are good. Ask them to do you keema peas, it's not on the menu but they will oblige. I like the heaters on the trolley so your food is piping hot.

Having moved out of barnt green 2 years ago, revisited deedar. What a change, modern decor with mouthwatering food. Will be back very soon.

My local. Always been average at best. Was hoping things would improve after the refit, and the curry was slightly less bland, but three of us got the runs the next day. Today I found that the Bromsgrove inspectors gave them 1 out of 5 for food hygiene in October 2018. Avoid.

Went as a party of 15, Food was slow taking an hour for our main course to arrive. It came in bits and dabs I had to wait for what seemed ages to get my balti after my rice arrived. It was cold as was a lot of the others food and half sent it back went home hungry as the portions were so small even for me and I do not normally eat a whole curry. As others have said staff only seem to care about building up the bill, staff gave no appology even though they knew we were unhappy. Needless to say we would not come back.

Visited Deedar after last eating here about 2 years ago, when we left rather disappointed. Well what an improvement! Our meals were lovely, and the staff were fabulous, so attentive and fun too. Would highly recommend, and we won’t leave it so long to go again

We have recently moved and have been a little disappointed with the restaurants in the area. I searched and found Deedar nearby...what a brilliant find!

I used to visit the Deedar prior to the refurbishment and honestly it was a hit and miss at times.

Booked on phone for Mum’s 60th birthday for 5 people. Turned up, they had lost the booking. No other tables. Birthday girl disappointed and ruined her night. No apology. Will make sure others in the area know not to bother going!

An excellent restaurant/takeaway with polite friendly service. I ordered my mushroom balti hot and dry (traditional) just how I like it. It was the best we’ve had and we eat out a lot. Looking forward to our next curry night.

Fuimos atendidos por un hombre casi robótico. . . No hay contacto visual ni interacción. Piensa que el personal es diferente al antiguo personal. Teníamos dos curries. . naan. . arroz y papas fritas. . Una sidra y una cerveza. El proyecto de ley llegó a 40. Esto me sorprendió. . No estoy seguro si soy solo yo. . . ¡Pero parece excesivo! La comida era buena. . . pero otros lugares cuestan alrededor de 25 - 30. Vergüenza, ya que estábamos ansiosos por la reapertura y el regreso. No estoy seguro de que volveríamos a toda prisa. . Hay lugares mejores y más baratos.

Llegamos a nuestra mesa reservada para encontrarnos sentados en una mesa de cuatro plazas que era pequeña. Pidió que nos trasladaran y salieran en una caseta junto a los aseos. La mesa era mucho más grande, pero nos levantábamos constantemente para cerrar la puerta de entrada a los baños.

Food is very greasy! Oil based curry. The quality of the food I would rank Zero. The staff are only concerned about making money.

Popped in following the refurb. Atmosphere was good and have to say one of the best curries I have had in a long time. Has been missed!

Great food and reasonable prices. We are always seated quickly even without a reservation. Nice and quite place. Staff are all friendly and helpful.

Really looking forward to my meal. Looked very good on paper but what a let down . Took 1 hour to receive poppadoms that were very greasy and not spicy as promised. Veg curry ... yuk. Could have done better with my eyes closed.

We booked a Monday night curry menu get together for 20 of the church nembers. Cost was £14.00 for a 3 course set menu. 1 course is a pint.

Came here for the first time to try somewhere new...staff were very friendly and welcoming. I requested a dish that wasn't on the menu and this was accommodated for and very nice too, partner also enjoyed his meal too! Only downfall was the naan bread which was heavy and a bit too doughy for us...but nothing to complain about..we will just not order one next time around. Overall we were happy with the service and food. For 2 curries, a naan and two beers it came to £30. We would eat here again :)

A first class curry full of flavour and reasonably priced. Service excellent. 5 of us visited including one child. All enjoyed an excellent meal. Will definitely revisit.

Found this place by chance after visiting the pub across the road and I'm glad we did. It serves great food at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is nice and busy most nights but doesn't hinder the service which is always prompt and friendly! Look forward...

Ha sido un tiempo desde nuestra última visita Deedar, pero no hay decepción de nosotros en calidad de la comida o el servicio. En efecto, llegamos tarde - no hay problema - con una cuarta cena - no hay problema - y mi comida era menos que satisfactorio, mucho de mi mala elección, de no entregar contra el menú. Mi plato principal era Hyderabadi Dum Biryani. Cuando pregunté si mi comida fue satisfactoria, me dijo que era un poco soso y aburrido, pero luego la salsa tuve spooned fue dahl - lentejas, por supuesto. La respuesta fue de organizar un salsa alternativa que era mucho mejor para mí, y terminé más satisfactoriamente. La noche era muy especial, y podría haber sido bastante estropeadas por menos cuidadoso servicio. Sin duda volveremos, antes de esta hora.

I am a great lover of hot curries but hate restauranteurs who pile a load of chilli powder into a sauce with no passion or concerns of the final flavour in an attempt to achieve the hot curry !!I regularly use the Deedar who have mastered the ultimate curry on my behalf....Hot and spicy but full of flavour, the sauce is perfect consistency, the meat fantastic, a perfect balance of heat and spices.......If you like Vindaloo or you are even a bit braver still !!!...... ask any of the great staff to order you a curry Tony Chumley style......believe me I have eaten hundreds of curries but this dish is one of the finest recipes in the world if you are a true hot curry lover.......

This is the tastiest Indian food I've ever had. This obviously comes down to personal taste preferences but the dish I had was just so full of flavour, which I realised is something I've not always noticed before as at some places the food is just hot and spicy. Some of the group that I was with mentioned that they would have liked there dishes to have been spicier, but, the taste sensation that I received made me a very happy man.We also had some poppadoms for starters and we received a really good amount of sauces and pickle to go with it. The mango chutney was delicious.On top of all this, the staff were friendly and it had a nice relaxing atmosphere. I would go again.

Having just relocated to the vicinity, hubby, me and the kids decided to treat ourselves to the local Indian, rather than drive to our normal fave in Alvechurch. Sadly we shall not be returning as although the dishes were fresh and decently portioned, not one dish choice was flavoursome. Extremely bland and service very slow. Quite pricey too but expected that for the area - just a shame the quality does not match! Our 12yr old is getting quite used to spices and loves his butter chicken and mushroom rice - he was very unimpressed.....back to the dilshad it is - even if I have to drive! :-/

Recently ordered a takeaway for two from DeeDar, it was ready spot on time and well packaged to keep hot. In my opinion the food was just as good as when I've eaten in the restaurant. Really tasty and decent sized portions. Quality food and better than most other comparative restaurant takeaways I've tried in the Redditch area, so worth an extra mile or so to get to Barnt Green.

My wife and I joined friends that had booked our table for 8.00 on Friday 6th and had papadoms with relish (£3.30 for 2) whilst waiting for my wife and colleague having starters of Prawn Puri £4.50 (Okay but nothing special) that took approx 30 mins.On to our main courses Mass Biran £14.95 (disappointing), Kursi Chicken Tikka £9.95 (good), Tandoori Mixed Grill £12.95 (very good), Deedar Special £9.95 (excellent) .Well having waited approx 40 mins we asked the waiter when is our meals arriving to which he replied it's coming.....Well a further 15 mins...Not Amused.I mentioned to the waiter I am not happy with the service as it has spoilt our evening and it is perhaps the problem is the priority given to the amount of take-away and I would like to speak to the manager.Ten minutes later whilst I have gone to the toilets my friends had received the bill and the management had deducted £23.60 off the total to which we appreciated but it is a shame that the service was not sorted out earlier.

As our local this is a firm family favourite.Our young boys love the chicken tikka masala and korma respectively. Though I think their favourite is the fresh Naan breads. Mango kulfi is a must for afters.The rest of the menu is tasty with generous portions. So not the cheapest but good value.

I have ate in here in the past and it was great. Nice atmosphere and restaurant in general. Friendly staff, great food and decent size meals!I ordered a take away a few nights ago and even for a Saturday night, only took half an hour to be ready. Food was great and meal size was more than enough!Would definitely eat here again.

Don't go here! The service is appalling, and if you look at my reviews, I am one to normally heap praises on a restaurant. It took 40 minutes for my starter and then at the 1hr15 mins mark, I complained to one of the waiters asking where my main course was and he just said he would look - not a single word of apology! I eventually said I would rather have it as a take away. Still no apology until I demanded to speak to the managerIts a real shame as the food is pretty good but let down by poor service and nonchalant attitude !If you want to wait over an hour for good but not great food, go for it, but I would suggest you give it a miss.

Would I recommend no chance the food was horrible. I had told the manager Notting was done about it I was told it is what it is very rude. I will be sticking to my regular Massala on new road rubery what a lil gem they are. Please if you don't want to disappoint your family/friends then AVOID!!!

Not the best Indian meal I have had, but service was excellent. The chicken shashlik was a bit bland - wonder if it had been cooked in a tandoor as it was very plain. However, portions were huge but I would rather have had quality over quantity.

Been a few times and the food is good but nothing exciting. It's always busy but no problem getting a table. It's useful when we need a late night meal on the way back home

I have eaten here several times both in restaurant and takeaway. The food is delicious and has been each time. Staff are lovely and friendly. I insist on visiting or ordering each time I visit my brother now. Would recommended

As a local I have left this place to settle down before making my first visit. On what was initially a quiet tuesday evening I was given a choice of tables and the menu certainly looked appealing. All very well handled and I was more than happy to help out. A very good experience all round. Well worth a visit.

Five of us had a family evening at the Deedar after going to the pantomime. All our meals were delicious. My 6 year old grand daughter ate all her chicken korma. Thank you plus great service all waiters are lovely and helpful and good at their jobs
