Dee Dee's Cafe in Edinburgh, City of

No regresaré. La mujer que nos servía no podía sonreír, apenas nos hablaba, solo me miraba mientras yo estaba en el café vacío esperando que ella reconociera y se ofreciera a servirme. Tuve que empezar la conversación. Mi marido pidió un rollo de salchicha de enlace y ella tarareó y murmuró y finalmente dijo "dejamos de hacerlos en 5 minutos" así que asumimos que la respuesta era no entonces? No podía ser molestada. En retrospectiva deberíamos habernos ido en ese punto. El servicio era lento también.

Qué horror. La chica "no trabajaba aquí" y estaba cubriendo. 25 para unas tostadas demasiado cocidas sin relleno. Esperé media hora. La chica se quedó guardando parrilla en lugar de servir. Nada de patatas al horno ni pizza ni moca. Necesita apagarse.

Ok for a tea or coffee, but don't order food, I waited 45 mins for a slice of pizza, will never order hot food from here again!!!

Ordered lunch they had no rolls no burgers ended up with a sausage on to slices of white bread The service was so slow there was only one person serving ordered 2 cups of coffee by the time it was served the first cup was look warm the coffee was disgusting and it is suppose to be costa coffee Dirty tables cleared but could do with a wet cloth and disinfectant Certainly won’t be back a shame as there is a need for a cafe in the area Pull your finger out and provide a better service

What an awful experience. There were 5 of us , the service was atrocious. Two were served then another one then 20 mins later the last 2 came. The assistant was most apologetic as only 1 oven!! Would not go back.

The cafe is never open now used to be a great place to shop and get a coffee but every time you go in it is closed can you tell me what hours they are supposed to be open I have went down different days different times and it is always closed it is a shame as it was always a busy cafe with great staff

If I could give no star I would. Went here today with my mum to get some breakfast. Firstly I was told the “costa coffee” was not actually costa coffee and instead there own with branded cups lol. Then I added the bacon and sausage “bloomer” for us which the server then huffed and looked to see if he had any bacon and sausage, this was then brought through in plastic containers showing that this was precooked and had been left in the fridge a while, disgusted i asked for the date for these I was told to “calm down it’s not that bad” and shown a price sticker quickly claiming to be a date sticker. Paying £9.10 and working in the hospitality industry for 8 years I was obviously furious. The young lad had made these sandwiches not asking what type of bread we would like as my mum can’t eat white flower this was disappointing he carried on buttering this with industrial sized cheap butter and added our meats onto the sandwich before putting into the grill/oven for a minute to cook and hide the fact the bread was old too. These grilled sandwiches were then brought to the table with more butter on the side and some sauce sachets and we’re told “our coffee was on the counter” which had been sitting there for 10 minutes already if I had known to take this myself I would have, I merely commented to my mum how we should have just went to costa instead and was told “go to costa then see if I care” not only was this glorified waiter rude he was also very unhygienic no mask no gloves and had handled our money before touching our food without washing his hands, no real hospitality experience. No wonder there we’re no customers I got my money back and left straight away will never be back. Got better food and service at subway lol.

Ordered toastie wife ordered same 2 fruit scones and hot chocolate toasties half cooked not very nice scones were hard on outside and crumbly on inside like they had been frozen not very nice didn’t eat it along with toastie and hot chocolate tasteless overall £18 pound wasted avoid cafe not good

I stopped here with my mum and grand daughter. We had coffee and toasted tea cake with was not even toasted properly. Only one of the staff had a mask on and just as we were leaving we saw one of the staff lift sausage rolls with her hands. No gloves. And place them in oven. Another member of staff replenished the display using the same practice. Totally disgusted…..with covid still rife that a food outlet would not be more aware of simple hygiene.

Great service from Jada. Could not have been friendlier, helpful or more welcoming. A great representative for your organisation. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

When at the range today we had a fabulous lunch at DeeDees cafe lovely food and even better lovely cheery girls it was that good we went back and had another coffee. Thanks very much

I visited on the 11th October 2020 The lovely girls were short staffed. But they gave absolutely brilliant friendly service. Thank you
