Debenhams in Liverpool

Mi compañero y yo estábamos fuera de casa en la ciudad en julio de 2019 y decidimos pasar a tomar un café y papas fritas. Cuando nos quedamos en Manchester, a menudo vamos a uno de allí, pero tengo que decir que el de nuestra ciudad natal baja un poco. Estaba muy ocupado, pero logré encontrar una mesa mientras mi compañero hacía cola para pedir lo que queríamos y pagar. La mesa que encontré estaba a la vuelta de una esquina y lo que parecía más un pasillo fuera del área principal de la cafetería que conducía a unas puertas dobles. Me senté pero noté una alarma que venía de las puertas dobles, era horrible y el ruido me hacía sentir mal y nadie vino a apagarlo, afortunadamente, vi otra mesa en el otro lado en el área principal, así que tomé eso. Mi compañero finalmente llegó a nuestra mesa y dijo que era ridículo, ya que cuando estaba a punto de ser atendido, el personal aumentó y desapareció durante años, además, no había suficientes cubiertos.Me levanté y pedí que les dijeran que algunos estaban en camino. pero nos tomó un tiempo venir dejando que nuestra comida se enfríe. Obviamente, se necesita más personal, las mesas necesitaban limpieza y el lugar necesitaba una buena limpieza. Nuestra comida estuvo bien. ¡Podría haber sido mejor!

Visited yesterday for a quick coffee in between shopping. Ordered 2 large lattes and 2 slices of red velvet cake - £17!!!!! Was nothing wrong with them but I could get lunch for that price. Won’t return.

Had afternoon tea today with my friend and it was amazing. The cakes and sandwiches were plentiful and fresh. The young man Wally could not do enough for us from our request for no butter on the sandwiches to as many fresh pots of tea we could drink at no extra charge. We had a lovely afternoon and would highly recommend the afternoon tea.

Went in December 2019, for a friend birthday breakfast and catch up, normally I always take food pictures, but I was disappointed with the food, it wasnt worth my while.Ordered the full breakfast, waited 15 min, when the food arrived, well not impressed at all, ok bought through groupon on, still cost about 7.50 a head, where if I've cook it myself the taste and quantity be at cheaper. Sausage was tiny and burnt, only brown bread for toast no choices, bacon cant even eat it, like cardboard.Sorry I wouldn't be coming again even it's freeService was like non existent, tables where all dirty, no staff doing any cleaning, I work in catering, if that was where I work, I be out by now.

Me and my husband had an afternoon tea there and it was lovely, the young man who I believe is the manager was lovely and made one of the best coffee I have ever tasted. Will definitely come back again

The waitress if you can call her that was walking around as if she did not know were she was. She walked around with our food for about two minutes, tried to attract her attion but got ignored. I followed her back to were she took our food, complained and was given refund for food after it was snatched out of hand. I tried to complain to Another member of staff who turned out to be Assistant Manager and he just laughed at me when I asked for his name he refused to give it to me and got really aggressive.

Cuando se le preguntó por el sándwich festivo de pavo, se indicó la selección de pan. . . no seleccionó solo una baguette horneada muy pálida (del tipo que tiene que terminar en el horno) pero no había terminado. . . sin mantequilla y pavo muy seco añadido. . 2 bolas de relleno que no eran comestibles como las balas. . . . así que tomé un poco de mantequilla y agregué arándano para que fuera medio comestible. camarera muy maleducada, así que no me gustaba quejarme? tomó años para ser atendidos, sin embargo, nadie en frente de mí. . . .No volveremos

My husband had a panini and I had the winter turkey and vegetable soup. Both were satisfactory but nothing special.

Groupon luxury cream tea promised a selection of cakes.... sadly after a long wait for ONE customer in front of us to be served we were told they didn’t have the selection of small cakes they should have but we could have 2 pieces of large cakes from the window... by the time we had got our drinks there was a long queue behind us..... Speed of service is something this establishment doesn’t offer!We had virtually consumed all of our drinks before the “ cake stand” arrived. Offering our 2 chosen cakes hacked into halves with what appeared to be shop bought scones microwaved to warm them ! We ate this “ luxury “ cream tea in a sea of dirty dishes on the tables surrounding us....having cleared our own table initially! Short staffed is an understatement. Groupon should make sure that establishments can deliver what they promise before promoting their offers and Cafe de Pierre you should not take on more than you can deliver at the expected standard . We won’t be visiting again.

Went into here while visiting Liverpool. Queued for a while as only one man doing just about everything. Other assistant seemed to have no interest in doing anything - she just seemed to wander in and out and oull a face when the busy man spoke to her. Finally got a tea and coffee and sat down - most tables needed clearing and before we left the uninterested assistant cleared tables and gave them a cursory wipe, leaving bits of food on them. Definitely not a place to visit, especially if youre looking for a proper patisserie with a name like Cafe de Pierre. We might have had afternoon tea but heard the busy waiter say to another cistomer in ftont of us that they had no selection of small cakes so they would have to have a large slice instead. No gluten free option of either a biscuit or cake. How bad is that.

Decent coffee and tea but let down by uncleared tables and food on the floor. Decor dark and somewhat claustrophobic.

I went in here with my daughter the cakes we ordered were miniscule and I could not believe the prices! The girl who served us wasn't very friendly. I certainly wouldn't go back again.

Went to Cafe De Pierre for afternoon tea with my wife for a special treat with a Groupon voucher. On the website the selection of sandwiches consisted of Salmon & Cream Cheese, Egg mayonnaise, did not have them. The sandwiches we received where Chicken Tikka, Plain chicken, Cucumber and Soft Cheese, and something which tasted like Sun Dried Tomato, The cakes were from the display from the window and cut up into small portions, one small pot of tea each and not replenished. Staff standing behind the service counter talking when there were tables to be cleaned. Went for the first time would not return. Good clotted cream!

Decided to eat in the restaurant, as it was raining and this was the nearest place, however, the cups were stained obviously some problem with the dishwasher or detergent. The member of staff serving us said they were clean as they had been washed in a dishwasher and they don’t have time to BLEACH them.

Popped in for a coffee while my wife shopped in the store. I was begrudgingly served by a member of staff when I asked for my americano coffee, when I came to find a table the three members of staff that looked to be working all sat down while the whole cafe needed clearing of lunch and afternoon tea paraphanalia and the tables that were clear had the enemy's of what ever the previous occupants had had for there lunch.

Visit here for breakfast after feeding our 5month old baby, and very enjoyable well priced and quite. Worth a visit.

Stopped for coffee in the basement coffee shop in Debenhams as meeting someone for shopping trip - decent coffee but they only serve pre made toasties in fridge that looked okay - few cakes/muffins but no toast - was advised i would have to go upstairs to top floor cafe if wanted toast.

Very centrally located .I just stopped in for a coffee and bun,but the cost was reasonable and the cafe was bright with a good view.Service was good.Good value.

I like my coffee but on this occasion I found it to be bitter and very strong, I enjoyed my cake. The restaurant is clean,the staff friendly and helpful and it is disable friendly.

Its a very pleasant café to sit for an hour . The down side is the wait to get served . The staff are pleasant though.

Sad to see the Patisserie Valerie right by the entrance was closed down - such a great location for a pot of tea and a rest. However, there is also a cafe on the ground floor which is very pleasant.

Its a department store and I dont really understand why they exit. It a poor selection of everything. I would have thouhgt it would be better to go to a specialist shop for just about everything. Very univiting - blank and bland

Popped in to Debenhams to shop and grabbed a coffee in the basement coffee shop.

Shopping here today was a delight, such a big store with so many branded clothes, huge range of make ups (Estee Lauder) counter was great too, so much to choose from.

Fancied a coffee so decided to try here as we were shopping. Didn't plan on eating until I seen the gorgeous scones with fresh cream and jam, for just £2.

Called in for a coffee while we were looking for Christmas presents in the store. Just had a cappuccino each, very nice, then continued on our merry way.

This is such a handy place to grab a cuppa and a tasty butty while shopping, and the staff are lovely, but management need to make some improvements. On this occasion the 'clean' cutlery was so tarnished and stained that when I raised the issue with one of the staff he had to remove the lot and I had to manage without. The tray I used was pretty grubby and had obviously not been cleaned for a very long time. I like this place so I will give them another chance but you could do a lot better Debenhams.

No longer hemmed in and miserable. Its all very new and all glass and light with super views. So a massive improvement and the coffee and tea are average priced.

Shopping in town felt really hungry so called in to the cafe, couldn’t resist the roast dinner, see photo, very tasty. Had a cappuccino to wash it down. Busy but service was quick and friendly.

Large shopping area all on the level great shops ...prices seem cheaper in Liverpool ...love Debenhams lots of eating places ...if you get lost there is always someone to show you the way, signposted well ..lots of friendly helpfull staff

Met a friend there today , very clean , lovely surroundings, pleasant staff . Had the turkey roast , which was very disappointing.The meat was dry , frozen veg and roast potatoes were undercooked, no taste of anything in the gravy .

No suelen utilizar café de subirse al debenhams para un almuerzo familiar, pero fue práctico y no muy concurrido. El lugar es muy limpio y el personal era amable y servicial.

Visiting on a city break called into Debenham's staff very nice in all departments we went to two members of staff were handing out scratch cards when we went in and you could get between 10% to 50% off and we had 30% off so we were very pleased with that and we happened to go in on that day good saving as we don't usually get to Debenhams very often, store nicely spaced out and displayed lovely

No preguntó si la leche caliente o fría preferido con un americano y dado caliente, directamente en la taza. Maybe its me but whenever I pop in to Debenhams it always seems too messy and complicated to find things. I guess its because it has so many brand sections that are so disconnected from each other and you have to zig zag across the store in search of say a jacket. Therefore I have never bought anything there and find solace in John Lewis.

Pasó por el almacén y decidimos aperitivo en la cafetería. Fuimos y conseguimos conseguimos un desayuno rápido. La comida era buena, el servicio fue rápido y el personal era muy amable y servicial. He estado en unos cuantos cafés debenham ahora, y siempre he tenido buenas experiencias. Se colgaba en aquí para el almuerzo. Muy espacioso, y una zona de estar hubiera mantenido limpio.

Bored in Liverpool - spend a morning in Debenhams Rooftop Restaurant - delightfully quiet and out of the way, like so many of its customers..... Two very pleasant elderly Ladies were trying to cook, serve, pour drinks.... I requested 4 rounds of brown toast -which arrived piping hot. By the time I was half way down the queue they were stone cold. By this time I was having an affair with the Lady in front of me - we had been together for 15 minutes by now.... When I finally got my coffee my friend and I decided to leave the toast as it was now rock hard... We appeared to be in the centre of controversy when people on both sides of us were asking for refunds. A lot of unhappy customers. Shame, the surroundings are pleasant and airy.

Went here last year for breakfast when we were on holiday and it was delicious however this time it was really dreadful. The scrambled eggs were green and obviously cooked in a microwave truly awful the toast was all soggy because it was put on top of eggs .I left the lot .coffee was bad also . My husband ate his but didn't enjoy it . The staff are very nice and so friendly but somebody is letting the whole thing down . Wouldn't return again wouldn't recommend.

well what can i say my mam has a discount card and insists on coming here for her 20% discount but the cutlery is shockingly dirty sometimes and the tables cluttered, seems to be a shortage of staff here on a good few occasions I have been. food is actually quite good when you get it but its let down by service and cleanliness of area even though it seems to be very busy during lunchtimes. has the potential to be excellent if staff could just be a bit more attentive to the details.

What a dire experience ! Dismal, unappetising food, miserable staff plus I had to sort through the cutlery in order to find some that was clean! Most off putting ! My tuna, spring onion and mayo baked potato (which had no actual sign of any mayo) tasted truly awful. How anyone can manage to make a baked potato taste dreadful is beyond me - but they succeeded here!! The toasties my fellow three unfortunates were served, were similarly dire ! All 4 of us will definitely avoid eating here ever again !!

Some very good offers in their blue cross sale. Good clean and tidy surroundings. Staff helpful. easy to get in and out.

Good store but don't bother with the upstairs café. Four staff on hand but three vanished leaving one harassed lady whose PR skills are non existent. Shouting at foreign tourists doesn't make them understand English any better. left without ordering.

Liverpool 1 is great for shopping and Debenhams offers different things being a large store. Well worth a visit. Good coffee shop too

Had 3 items I needed to buy and I got all of them in this one shop: great women's. logging section. Busy store but staff helpful and friendly.

This is a lovely and relaxed department store with all the top brands and labels under one roof. I particularly love the lingerie sale of the Floozie range

Debenhams is located in the walking mall area in Liverpool so you must stop in for beautiful displays and fun shopping.

Thanks you Debenhams cafe for providing a friendly service and helping to set up a high chair for my 8 month old baby.My friend had told me that this was a great place to grab some food when you have a baby as the staff are so helpful and she was right.Easy visit with a baby and their cakes are fantastic

This store is positioned over several floors with a good mixture of fashion, cosmetics, homeware etc. There are frequent sales on which helps if you are watching the pennies. It is situated on the edge of Liverpool One which is ideal for the rest of the City centre. On the whole I have found the staff pleasant and usually helpful. I have only had coffee here so can't comment on the food served.

Lovely helpful staff. Had the Tuna Nicoise Salad. No dressing. None available. Small bowl full but as soon as you tried to pick it up with a fork it went all over the table.. Bigger bowls please so I can see the good tuna and other ingredients. Only bread available was a quarter wedge from the soup section but at least she warned me of its astronomical cost. Can't remember exactly it was but I worked it out as £16.70 for a French stick of bread. Pity because the salad would have been OK had it had a proper dressing. If you think I'm being picky try and find a recipe for Tuna Nicoise that doesn't have a dressing. It was a collection of salad leaves, olives, bean and potatoes. Dry as a bone the way it was served. Pity. It could have been good as it was fresh and there was plenty of it.

Work nearby and fancied a change for lunch. Muligawny soup outstanding. Prices competitive. Restaurant panoramic views. Regular for me now.

i was wondering around the makeup counter on the second floor and looking at some potential purchases as i hadn't bought myself anything for a while. I went up to the urban decay counter and the girls where so rude and snotty. When i tried to ask for something they said "can you just wait we are busy" but not in a apologetic tone in a i cant be bothered helping you please go away tone! I have worked in retail myself and i understand that it can get very repetitive with people asking the same questions all the time but considering i was ready to buy quite a few things it was completely out of order!

Dropped in to estro coffee café in Liverpool one Debenhams store for lunch. We were very pleased with the selection of food on offer . I went for ham hock and brie sandwich and my daughter selected ham hock and salad with butternut squash, they were delicious, different and very satisfying. For our desert we chose orange and clementine cheesecake delicious, by far the best cheese cake I have ever had. All this followed by a gingerbread latte. Excellent value for money plus a 20%discount if you used your Debenhams card what more could you ask for. They also have a deal of any choice of cake and a coffee for £3.85 after 2pm. Well worth a visit.

Went to the estro coffee cafe on the ground floor and ordered a hot chocolate to find that 2/3 of the cup was just cream and there was only a mouthful of actual drink, left feeling quite ripped off

Lovely helpful ladies work at this restaurant with a happy cheery disposition, we were on holidays and decided to go in for breakfast as we usually do this when we are away, plenty of everything except the Granola but that was no problem for the lady serving she said , I,ll make one for you, which I must say in these days of retail is great to find somebody so nice and willing to help the customer, when we were leaving she said goodbye ,all the women were very nice and I just thought I should leave a good review fro them all.

The ground floor self-service cafe serves cakes and snacks and a range of hot and cold drinks to be eaten at a small cluster of tables parked in the centre of the sales floor. The toasted ham and cheese sandwich I had was pretty average. Cheese cake was OK. Not particularly cheap either.

As we don't have a decent size Debenhams in our home town we always make a beeline for them in other cities. This one did not disappoint, lovely store with plenty of choice.

I love this shop as there are always offers available. I do have a Debenhams card but always pay in full every month so never pay interest, that is the key to shop cards as their interest is extremely high. I had a voucher for 20% extra off for everything I bought, didnt go mad but bought a lovely handbag and some bedding.It is well situated in Liverpool at the end of Church street and the beginning of top floor in Liverpool one. There only problem is there is never an assistant to ask anything, I have mentioned this before but still it remains a problem. I do not rate the cafe lower ground floor to small and to many people walking past. Toy department also small and very pricey. Plenty to see they also have a Virgin travel agent on the first floor were we have in the past booked a holiday much more comfortable then going in a large travel agents.

Very nice warehouse, good vibe. Friendly staff !And the selection is huge, a very nice perfume department.

We love this coffee bar in the basement area, the scones are freshly baked and warm, they make a lovely cup of tea and the staff are lovely and friendly well recommended.

We have called twice at this upper floor restaurant and the most recent this week was early morning for breakfast . I'm not sure how long they had been open for but yesterday's food was still present on the floor , cutlery was dirty and the staff were grim once again , it doesn't take much to smile at customers does it ?? Screaming through the serving hatch for the sausage tray , then literally throwing it back through again , without warning the poor colleague it was red hot !! Then we got to the till ordered our drinks , as I got the highchair sorted and sauces etc the woman at the till shouted at my partner to take his coffees with him ( as well as push the buggy) ??? The view from this restaurant is great , there was only a few of the tables taken as it was early . Come on Debenhams , sort your staff out . It costs nothing to smile and actually try to be helpful!!!

Visited Restaurant today and was served by a lady called Alison who was very helpful and polite. even when I was served helped bring food to our table as we had our two grandchildren with us. Unfortunately cannot find my till receipt to do Debenhams online survey.

The usual style of franchised outlets under one roof although there are perhaps more than in some stores. One of the bigger stores in a good corner position.

I probably should not be divulging all of my secrets on here but it is well worth rummaging through the clearance racks at this Debenhams. You just never know what you will find at greatly discounted prices!

Love this shop, many great British brands to choose from. Large store, similar to Macy's in America. Love the cosmetics area, a lot of variety.

We always pop in here for a relaxing cuppa when visiting Liverpool which is quite often. Nice pot of tea and coffee in a quite atmosphere.

We had breakfast here on one of the mornings of our stay - there was no where else and places where all packed on the bank holiday - the choice was great and we where all really well fed!

I've never reviewed a department store before, but here goes.I always visit here when I'm in Liverpool and this is the biggest and best Debenhams I've been in.All the major brands are there as you would expect and there is lots of space to walk around. I think it's 3 floors in total.

Debenhams is a bright, modern store. However, other than on discount days, the prices are a bit high and the stock, a little underwhelming. It's not that they sell poor quality stuff; they just don't have the range of other stores, like John Lewis and some of what they do have seems to lack the appeal to justify the prices. Still, I have no doubt that others would disagree. They do sell some decent clothing and have a large perfume section. The cafe on the ground floor is quite nice too.

We would recommend this venue as a plesant place to lunch while shopping. Nice clean but busy surroundings at peak times. We enjoyed a very nice turkey lunch which was hot and decently portioned in terms of value for money.

Me and my sister called for breakfast today (17/02) we sat down to eat and noticed an older lady on her own had slipped off her chair. We went over and she wasn't responsive. My sister sat under her head while I got a staff member n asked for an ambulance. He just smiled and walked off. No real concern. As I sat back with the lady she was trying to sit up. We helped and told her to go slow as a female staff member came over. We explained we were not with the woman and what we thought had happened. She asked us to sit her back on the chair but we didn't feel this was appropriate in case she fell again. As the woman made a call to the stores first aider the elderly lady started convulsing and fell back again, luckily we were still supporting her. She became vomiting so we tried to put her in the recover position. As the staff member was saying to us 'can't you move her, or do something' as I moved the ladies leg to turn her body I noticed she had messed herself. We asked the staff member if she had ring an ambulance but she said she hadn't n was trying the first aider but the phone was off. I was appalled as this was 10-15 minutes in. The elderly lady was clearly unwell. As she came to she again tried to sit up. We positioned her to lean on a pillar and stayed close in case she fell. The first aider eventually appeared and didn't really listen to our explanation of what had happened. She kept asking the lady if she had eaten something bad. Another customer asked were the ambulance was and the first staff member was very rude to her saying is wasn't her place to ask. At this point they moved the woman onto a chair and she immediately bent double and started being sick again. They allowed her to throw up over herself and the floor rather than getting her a bucket or tissues etc. we went back to our food which was flat cold at this point with no acknowledgment of our support. I had to try eat or drink something as I was in shock and already unwell. I managed a sugary cold tea but the rest was inedible. We asked for water for the elderly lady and was told we best not. The whole thing was horrendous and I would not want my grandma treat like that. I could of cried for her, the cleaning team turned up quicker than any help. It just felt they cared more about the dinner rush than the lady's health. The first aider just kept asking if she was ok gettin herself home. I won't go again to this restaurant following the horrendous treatment of the poor woman and of the valuable customers who tried to assist.

The fact you pay £4.25 for a 6 piece breakfast is just crazy, but John Lewis was even more expensive so this was the next best thing. On the other hand though the breakfast was very nice. Staff are always friendly too.

Large department store with cafe toilets .sells named clothes make up household items computers etc .set on different floors .we always pop in for a look around always find something to buy .use the cafe a lot

The queue moves slowly, so your food is cold by the time you eat it. £2.15 for a tiny mediocre latte, no. Cottage pie my son had was poor. My daughter made a better one when she was 13. Shan't bother going here again.

It was convenient to go to the restaurant rather than walk in the rain elsewhere. Ordered 3 jacket potatoes...only had 2 left?! It was lunch time not end of the day & it's advertised on the board...

My husband and myself went shopping into Liverpool today and decided to go into Debenhams for a bite to eat. Bad mistake!!!!I have been before and the food is never great but we were hungry and the queue wasn't as bad as some places so off we went. We ordered Turkey and vegetable soup, a bowl of chips and a blueberry muffin, oh and 2 pots of tea. I was a nightmare trying to find a table. some were empty but full of used dishes which hadn't been cleared. Scraps of food all over the floor, but I managed to clear some of the dishes myself and a young waiter came and wiped my table and apologised for the mess. Hardly his fault as I told him. When we sat down to eat, the soup was luke warm bordering on cold and the chips WERE cold. The queue by this time was huge but my husband went and took the food back but had to wait in the queue again!!! We got another bowl of soup finally which was slightly warmer but in no way shape or form hot! The chips were hot this time thank goodness.So in a nutshell, we would not go again. The food isn't cheap and the whole place is a sham. Too many tables, too close together, and not enough staff to cope when it's busy. Its not the staffs fault, they were doing their best but come on Debenhams, sort this out and get enough staff to cope, make sure the food is served hot and tables are spaced out so you can't hear what everyone else is chatting about. Less is sometimes more Debenhams, and like another post on here this is why John Lewis has the edge!

We wanted a quick lunch whilst shopping recently. There was quite a queue to be served but this moved fairly quickly. We only wanted a light snack as we were having dinner later and I thought the sandwich/panini selection was a little limited.

We visited the lower ground floor cafe which must be said was awful in terms of service and selection.In terms of breakfast we were given an option of either Sausage or Bacon sandwich and wheb we chose Bacon they had none left !!!!Prices were reasonanle and plenty of dining space but there are much better places to eat in Liverpool One even for breakfast.... John Lewis anyone ?
