De Ja Brew in Great Yarmouth

Just ate with my wife and her dad and his wife. The food was absolutely fantastic, we came for breakfast which is reasonably priced uses good quality ingredients and wasn’t greasy at all. One of the best cooked breakfasts I’ve had and certainly the best in the area.

After visiting de ja brew today for a breakfast with my daughter, I must say that I will be visiting again very soon. The food was spot and and they were very accommodating for my 5 year old girl. Service was fast and the waitresses were very polite and happy to help whenever necessary. I strongly recommend de ja brew for its food, atmosphere and its location is perfect. The tables were full with customers who were also happy. I look forward to getting back to try the whole menu

Amazing quiz nights, food is 10/10 and staff is just as amazing as the food couldn’t recommend more.

Had 30th birthday party here and had some really great food followed by a fantastic live singer. Have also dined here in the morning with work colleagues and had a fantastic full English breakfast. Would really recommend the place for what ever your needs are, whether it's a party with food friends and entertainment or even if it's just breakfast lunch or dinner. Brilliant stuff and food.

We went here for breakfast - partly due to their advertised dog friendliness and partly because we were intrigued by the poor ratings which appeared to be very much at odds with their Facebook ratings. We are always interested in trying new eating places so we gambled - and indeed won! The interior is visually interesting and the decor is modern and inviting with nice little touches such as cast iron teapots. We received a warm welcome with out dog and within reasonable time an order for drinks and food was made. Drinks came quickly although food was a little slow as there were three or four other groups ahead of us. The quality of coffee is important to me and I was happy that this wasn't a cup of tasteless pushbutton coffee but a properly prepared cup of decent coffee. We were in no particular hurry and to be fair there was a wait, but when our food did arrive it was presented in an appealing way with reasonable portions. Everything was freshly prepared, of good quality and enjoyable. We often eat breakfast out and our bill was certainly no more than other places we have visited, but the quality of food was markedly greater than some. This is certainly somewhere that we will visit again regularly. Whilst we were paying our server I mentioned the poor TripAdvisor ratings and said that our experience was completely at odds with other people's experiences. We were told that this was a hangover from previous owners and our experience today would certainly bear this out.

Went in at lunch time today (Saturday) lovely clean smart decor and good menu if a tad expensive for Gorleston, friendly service. However service was slow., I appreciate food is hopefully cooked, to order but my seafood pasta had way to much chilli and the seafood and sauce just piled on the top of the pasta as there was no sauce stirred through the pasta. It was however presented nicely. My son had the Sea Bass and although very tasty was not crispy skinned and presentation could have been better. I feel this, could be a very nice place to eat with a little more attention to detail and faster service especially as it was lunch time and not busy. I would like to suggest a lunch time menu to cater for people with a limited, amount of time. We offer these comments as, constructive criticism and not to knock a new enterprise. I would like to go again and see if things are working better.

We waited for an hour and ten minutes for a salty not very well cooked breakfast and weak coffee. Waitress was friendly but sadly we won't be going back. Disappointed, especially as it used to be so good here before lockdown.

Horrible 10 min to take order half hour for cold yes cold coffee to be brought to us another hour before getting food we were not told when ordering their was no black pudding the waitress did replace the coffee not much better sausages were not cooked enough infact their was so much grease on the plate it put me right off

Calling in on the off chance this morning, my dog was allowed to sit with me by the window. Ordered a latte and specified that it should be piping hot. Waitress was lovely and the coffee was exactly as ordered. Decided to have a treat and try the pancakes, waitress was most apologetic that the banana delivery hadn't arrived, so I asked for them just with maple syrup. They were perfect! Light and fluffy, plenty of syrup and as they were quite large, I took one with me as a take-away. Very impressed.

The service was great, lovely waitresses . However the food was not good , spaghetti overcooked , potatoes and broccoli were raw, overall not nice food . We also waited so long for our food . Unfortunately we won’t return .

Disappointed had to buy a bottle of wine to have a glass of wine. They don’t sell it singularly. It took 45 mins to get food…there was only two tables in! The risotto was tasteless. Really disappointed.

After a much needed refurb , I was pleasantly surprised at he vast improvement on all fronts . Decor. Is very pleasant. With a light airy space . The menu was varied and much more upmarket than previously offered . Service was very friendly and efficient . Food was excellent

I don’t like to say it was average as it’s a nice little place with friendly staff, it just wasn’t “very good”. I wasn’t a fan of the coffee and it’s what I went for. I ordered a flat white which was basically hot milk. I didn’t have any food so I can’t comment other than to say what was being served did look nice and I’m sure it was. I would recommend but not for coffee.

New owners and the place looks amazing and the food is 5 star not your average cafe food but top quality cuisine. Breakfast and coffee is awesome with the best sausages ! A real classy establishment
