Days Bakery Farm Shop & Bakery in South Cambridgeshire

We booked a double room for us and our dog through an online platform. The room (104) was in a separate building. It seemed a bit gloomy, and the furniture had seen better days. The carpet was in dire need of cleaning or replacing, and the bathroom wasn't really up to scratch for a hotel of this class... However, the bed was very comfortable, and we had two very restful nights. The hotel's location is very nice. You can certainly hear the highway, but you know that beforehand. The breakfast was okay, but nothing special. One positive thing I have to highlight is the great friendliness of the staff.

Had lunch one weekday last week. Despite a large group before us the food was served reasonably quickly. All the food was good and quantities were good too. The service was good throughout and decent value for money. Would return.

After having spent £50 for a takeaway for 4, to say I am disappointed is an understatement. Shish kebab x 2 with no salad, no sauce, just meat, bread and a spoon of rice. Over cooked burger x 2, in a limp bun and half a box of curly fries. Not a nice feeling when you feel ripped off!

Great local fish and chips which have used for many years, never disappointed, the portions are always very generous. I don't tend to pre-order as find I usually end up waiting same time anyway, but as long as you don't go during peak hours I.e. 6pm Friday evening, they are pretty quick.
