Love this local bakery. The cakes so much to choose from. I love the brownie an the cornflake cake mmm! The counter has so much to choose from. Always a queue in here. Great service friendly staff. Oat lattes are good too. Karen is super sweet also shout out to the polite young gent who wears the glasses sorry not sure of his name

Bought two of their artisan breads. Sanfrancisco Sourdough and a walnut and fruit loaf. The sourdough was just like an ordinary white loaf, nothing special. The fruit and nut loaf was heavy, dry and lacking any flavour. Our hens ate it. Was very disappointed in the products.

Really nice bread , but don’t buy on Mondays as it is always burnt .have informed staff numerous times , but still the same every Monday.

A great find when on the way to airport! Coffee was lovely and the large selection of cakes really wonderful. Staff very friendly too. Wish I could have bought some of the interesting loaves but no room in luggage!

What a disappointment this morning to find my morning cakes (after I got them home) WITHOUT the icing. Wonder if this is cost cutting or just poor bakery.

Purchased two lattes from this shop this morning which was of poor quality….very weak and the temperature was luke warm at best. ‘Barrister’ was also in a rush and she came across rude, more interested in chatting to her friends rather than working in a busy bakery environment. Big disappointment and I hope it’s an isolated incident.

Their bread is amazing and toast even better but their breakfast is INCREDIBLE and such good value for money, hardly surprising they are so busy. Thank you soooo much

Excellent bakery tucked away on Broadway. Staff are friendly and more than happy to help. Service is efficient. Food is very tasty, filling and well priced.

I go to this bakery all the time. The bread, cakes, pies, sandwiches in fact everything is excellent and very good value for money. Will continue to go now as long as he is there.

I visited Davidson’s as I live close by, I regretted visiting as soon as I sat down after placing my order. There were pastries under the counter, there were flies , flying around. The tables were dirty as well as the floor.It took a while to get my order and it was not very nice, I asked for my sandwich without butter and it came with butter. I had a hot chocolate which tasted awful and looked like dirty dishwater.The staff were talkative but rude, I was shocked with the price, because I was expecting some nice food/drinks. Total waste of money.

Called in for coffee and catch up with friends. Lovely little bakery, very busy so says it all. great variety and all looked delicious. The staff all very welcoming and friendly, I could possibly have made this my new coffee n catch up place......till we sat outside, oh dear what a disappointment...the place is filthy, obviously a doggy place, which I can't bare when people are eating I dont think it's really very hygeinic. The chairs are covered in mud paw marks etc, such a shame as the food was delicious.

Called in with my 92yr old grandma for a coffee & pot of tea. Service was excellent and the selection of fresh cream cakes was fantastic! Gran had a scone and I had strawberry tart, both delicious. Lovely friendly staff who were very helpful. Will definitely be back ....and the fresh bread is amazing :)

Absolutely LOVE the scones here! I could eat them every single day. Still can’t decide if I prefer the cheese or fruit as both are super delicious!

Popped in for some bread and decided to have bite to eat. Menu is not massive but it is tasty, I chose the hot beef roll but at the time they had sold out, so went for the local sausage in a roll, very tasty my wife had the bacon and egg, as expected the bread was excellent.

Buy bread here every week. Great selection of artisan breads, pastries, cakes and even freshly ground coffee. Friendly staff.

we have ordered numerous birthday cakes from this bakery and have never had any complaints, however the cake recently ordered was half the height it should have been and mostly icing, we were very disappointed with the cake.

Davidsons have an enormous range of tasty treats and also serve great coffee along with breakfast sandwiches.

The pleasant indoor/outdoor seating areas at this family owned bakery allow you to enjoy numerous baked goods with a nice cup of coffee or tea. Croissants fresh from the oven, delicious and substantial fruit scones, cream cakes; they are all delicious. The bacon sarnies are also very good. I order bread and scones for large family occasions and always get lots of positive feedback.

I have been using david sons for years,his fresh bread is the best around the area and there other products are great quality,plus you can have a nice coffee in or out plus it's not pretentious which I like.

We went for a latte and cake. Always fresh. Always served with a smile. More pricey than Gregs etc but the cakes and treats are always delicious.

Never disappointed by this shop with seating area.

A real gem of a place in the heart of Darras Hall. Decent coffee, amazing pies and pastries and the breakfast rolls are just lush. Keep it up.

Great bakery selling all your favourites, cakes,bread savouries etc. It also does tea coffee and smashing sarnies. I love this place.

All food is excellent staff friendly and helpful I am pleased I do not live next door or I would be there every day bang goes my diet

Got to say I have being going here for years and spend a small fortune in the place. However after standing in a queue for over 10 minutes and still not being served as staff are too busy clean benches and collecting dishes from outside had to do this review. You can clearly see when Trevor is not in and the service is poor very poor which is a shame

We often go the bakery for a bakery treat, their soup and hot drinks. We are never disappointed!!! The staff are always friendly and helpful. Davidson Bakery also do brilliant large chocolate cakes to order. They are must for all our family birthdays and parties.

I love this place, it has all the homemade type pies and pastries you could want and freshly made sandwiches and coffee. I specifically love the corned beef pie mmmm

This is a marvellous bakery, the products are great and the staff are so helpful and friendly. They also serve food and drink inside and they have tables and chairs outside, it's very handy for women taking their children to the school over the road to pop in with friends for a coffee etc It is always busy and the smells are delicious it's hard to walk past

It's a pleasure to go every Saturday morning to collect my bread, croissants,buns,sausage rolls and now the occasional bacon sandwich . Staff are so friendly even when under pressure. GI bread is such a winner. Keep up the good work .

Davidsons is in the middle of Darras Hall and is an excellent bakery serving fresh artisan style breads and delicious cakes. Also good selection of pies and sandwiches. Homemade soup and coffee also served. Handy sitting area inside and out and blankets provided in case it's chilly.

Davidsons is a great local baker; they produce a traditional range of baked products plus some great more interesting breads, e.g. Corn bread, Low GI bread. All superb.

For almost 4 years I have travelled to Davidson's for our bread. Yes I pass numerous supermarkets & shops that sell bread but none like this. I must admit I like bread very well done & found it more to my liking about 18 months ago when King Alfred was running the ovens but the excellent staff always have a sort about to find me a nice well done crusty large white. The selection of bread is excellent but moving on I think the bakers lacks a good pâtissier as that side lacks constituency.

This small bakery in Darras hall shops produces a huge array of pies, breads and pastries. The food they produce is just amazing.

The bakery has been here for years & their bread just gets better & better. When ever we visit the area I buy several loaves to take home. My favourites are the poppy seed twist & the GI (very seedy). Now they do great coffee as well so you can sit there & breath the great smell of fresh bread.
