Only just getting round to writing this review as I am rubbish and totally forgot! My mum and I have been here a few times for brunch, her recommendation as she comes often after park run. I’m vegetarian and have found the menu to be varied, the food always of fab quality and really tasty. The coffee is also great! Daveena herself is so lovely and always makes the experience even better. I’d recommend Daveena’s to anyone wanting a tasty breakfast or light lunch!

I love the halloumi special here, mushrooms, spinach and some fried halloumi on lovely bread! The prices are decent and staff lovely. Oh and the homemade chocolate and banana cake are lush!

Had “cheese toastie”. Two slices of toasted bread, uncut, dumped on plate, ends of cheap tomatoes. They never ever have most of the items on the menu. Think twice!

Went for lunch with colleagues £4.25 for a toasted sandwich - the worst presentation I have ever seen. Not even cut diagonally - put in a panini press so was about 1mm in the centre - not a crisp or bit of salad included. Dreadful - you'd do better to go to subway or the nice little sandwich shop and eat in the park - half the price!!! None of us will be returning. Sorry. The new management should go on a course the last ones were great.

One of the many times I’ve had breakfast at Daveena’s. Post parkrun it doesn't get better than one of Daveena's mushroom and haloumi sarnie. Yum.

Good coffee and jacket potato for lunch, just what I needed! Park Run special on a Saturday morning is very popular.

I got the fish finger sandwich. It does say it has two fish fingers in it, but I didn’t expect it to be pretty much just bread. I literally ate half the sandwich as the other half was just bread. I would never get it again, it’s not a sandwich as it was half empty and completely over priced for what it was.

Very yummy vegetarian and classic bacon and egg breakfasts. Lots of healthy, imaginative and very tasty things on the menu and on toast. All served in a light, airy, comfortable and cool environment with very friendly service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

What a great place to get a really good coffee and freshly prepared food at very reasonable prices. Friendly service and nice atmosphere. Easy to miss but once you know where it is then definately somewhere to check out. Just across from Poole Park (on the Civic Centre side) and dog friendly so ideal place to bring Fido after a walk.

Yes the cafe looks beautiful lovely interior etc but the food is very bad. I have been there twice now-as I wanted to give them a chance. However both times have been highly disappointing. I would recommend a course in sandwich making skills and presentation of food. It is very subservent. Will not return as food is awful taste and presentation. This is an honest review and I am very fair.

Have visited Daveena's on several occasions, sometimes when busy and when not. Always the same welcome, always the same quality and we always leave happy and full :) This is a great place for good food or just a coffee and a chat.

I regularly visit Daveena's for breakfast or lunch. The menu is varied, providing traditional dishes and healthy ones too. It's a friendly and welcoming place, with seating inside and outside in a courtyard to the rear.

Disclaimer. I have never been to this museum. I've been to Poole many times in the past but not for a few decades. So why am I posting a review? See the attached image which appeared on Reddit today and I'm doing my best to distribute the awesome wholesomeness this museum promotes. When I do go to Poole next, this museum will be my first port of call.

We wanted Pina Poke take away, we were prepared to collect but they only do delivery which was great, less than half an hour and the food was great. Had a salmon meal and the fresh fish was gorgeous

If I could give no stars I would. On Saturday, we visited The Bricklayers for drinks around 4 PM. Although the establishment was busy, we managed to find an empty table. While half of our group was ordering drinks at the bar, a woman approached and placed a reserved sign on our table without acknowledging us. When my daughter pointed out that the table was free when we arrived, the woman dismissed her comment and insisted it was reserved. When she returned a third time to ask us to leave, despite there still being half an hour until the reservation, her demeanour was once again discourteous. She addressed my young nephew, implying we needed to vacate. I felt it necessary to address her directly, emphasizing that she should speak to the adults at the table and that her approach was unprofessional and rude. Unfortunately, instead of addressing my concerns, she repeated my words in a condescending manner and attempted to walk away. When I inquired about her name, she identified herself as Abbie and claimed to be the manager, which only heightened my disappointment as I believe a manager should exemplify exceptional customer service. As living local to the area, we wanted to give The Bricklayers another chance, despite our previous experiences with unprofessional staff. After this incident, we decided to visit the newly opened Flamingos. Callum, who I believe is either the host or manager there, greeted us warmly and explained that they were fully booked. He expressed regret that he couldn’t accommodate us and invited us to return another time, which was a refreshing contrast to our earlier experience. Ultimately, we chose to enjoy our evening at the Dancing Moose, where the staff, despite being fully booked, warmly welcomed us at the bar, providing excellent service and delightful cocktails. Regrettably, this unfortunate encounter at The Bricklayers led us to reconsider our patronage, resulting in a loss of potential revenue of over £300. After investing significantly in refurbishing the space, which now looks quite appealing, we have unfortunately had an unsatisfactory experience with one manager. As a result, I cannot say we would consider returning.
