Always a pleasure to visit for a coffee or an ice cream. Staff are delightful and deliver excellent customer service. Food is always great!

Opening hours state this place is open until 6:00pm but I have just been up to the store at 5:15pm and although the items I want are still in the window display and there are still three staff working I've been told they are closed..... at 5:15pm on a bank holiday?? The mind boggles..... lost themselves money and a customer unfortunately.

Staff is amazing. Cakes are simply to die for. We often order cupcakes, this time we ordered cake and it did not disappoint! Highly recommend!

Located in the Warrington Cookhouse, Time Square, specialising in an excellent selection of Desserts, cake, coffee, hot chocolate & ice creams, check out the menu on their website, some very funny names for their desserts!!!. Great for those with a sweet tooth. One of many food outlets in the Cookhouse so a brilliant place for all ages. Shared bench tables but there are quite a few tables for two or 4 persons, best to secure a table or seats check the number and order at the outlet. its great for families because everyone can order different foods. There is also a licensed bar if you need a drink after the dessert!!. Can be very busy at lunch times but there is seating inside & out on those warmer dry days!!!

Can't recommend this place enough! Visited today for their afternoon tea and it was honestly the best afternoon tea I've ever had. The food was incredible, the staff were lovely and really went above and beyond. The presentation of the afternoon tea was so cute and the amount you got was unbelievable for the price! Couldn't even finish it all and had to bring it home to enjoy this evening! Thank you team for a great afternoon!

Some of the younger staff have no customer service skills no manners and a smile and a Thankyou goes along way where I got chip and pin machine shoved at me and glared at puddings nice tho will have to use the app to order so don’t have to deal with the rude staff

Had ice cream there before, the girl serving was super sweet and friendly and the ice cream was delicious, unfortunately though I pulled out a ginger/brown dog or cat hair midway through eating it so had to remove some stars :(

Strawberry and cream for me and vanilla for my partner. Both enjoyed them. 5 stars

Hats off to the staff. Everytime i visit im never disappointed when i walk away. The coffee always fixes my day. Wife sends me out for the cakes. 100% prefer Spoon instead of the bigger names. 1# place for coffee and deserts in Warrington

Lovely food great deserts just ate there as I do regularly and experienced rude discourteous staff …not the owner …the young girl serving with a chip on her shoulder !!regularly eat at both darkside and the cafe at the end of the universe will be swerving them after that service

Fab cake and coffee. Cakes baked on site, lots of choice. The biscoff cake and mars crispy cake, both to die for. Very friendly service.

Amazing staff got x2 slices of cake to take away which came to £6 which is really reasonable considering the size of it!! Loads of other options available there like nice coffee and tea which I have had before on a previous occasion. No complaints at all both cakes full of flavour and soft.

Great all around , everyone doing these fancy cakes these days which are typically lacking in flavour and texture . This place looks and Tates great . Rainbow cake and cheese cake are great . Great price points to . Cake and coffee afternoon <3

We had the afternoon tea and it was fantastic! Amazing service, lots of fantastic food, and drinks, and very reasonably priced. We'll definitely be visiting again, and we'll absolutely have the afternoon tea again.

The donut was good, but the cinnamon roll was dry. It tasted as it was five days old. I don't know if that bun was that old or was the taste and structure intentional - in either case it was a huge disappointment.

I ordered two vanilla cupcakes for my daughters. A member of staff came to find our table to let us know they only had one left and asked what we would like instead. The kind lady then brought us a slice of rainbow cake, which was huge, sliced into two and on two plates for the girls to share. Really lovely cake (I may have sampled a crumb or two…) and excellent customer service which goes a long way.

I don't usually like waffles but their waffles are amazing not to mention their cakes. Biscoff cake is so good, definitely try it and id recommend the unicorn ice cream to everyone

This place is cute and quirky with an impressive and delicious menu. We have been here a few times and have never had a complaint. Whether you're going for ice cream, waffles or a tasty cheesecake special you won't be disappointed. The best waffles you'll find in Warrington.

These ladies made an 18 year old boy Jake very happy they made him a surprise birthday cake for his party it was delicious and was enjoyed by everyone you really are special xxxxxx and would definitely be telling everyone I know about it xxxxxx

Today I went for my usual trip to dark side of the spoon. I wasn’t in the best mood so it was amazing to sit down and be served by beautiful and smiley Laura with my usual chocolate fudge cake (warm, no cream or ice cream) and glass of Pepsi. I really love to go to help Laura and Victoria to get business

Spotted the shop by accident from downstairs and thought wed give it a try. Very pleased that we did. The staff were lovely and chatted to our 3 year old happily. The ice cream was yummy with lots of variety. Will visit again.

More people need to know about this little gem, I tell everyone I know to pay a visit. My 10 year old is getting to the age where he doesn’t like hanging out with is mum that much anymore but the one thing we do every week is go to Dark side of the spoon together and get the dessert of the week, the lady who makes them is an absolute genius and is always really friendly even though we usually get there right before closing it’s no trouble at all.

Friendly attentive staff and a different pie/cake each week. Trying them all is addictive. They also have waffles and icecream (I'd recommend the vanellope von schweetz) just make sure you arrive hungry!

The food and service here have always been exceptional. The staff are friendly and attentive, the desserts are always delicious (especially the weekly specials) and the coffee that they serve is fantastic! This place is worth the trip!

I thought the ice cream was horrid - confected, nasty and gloopy. The staff were nice and friendly but sadly this ice cream is not good.

Went here for the 1st time last week and tried there hot chocolate drinks and wow there amazing the rainbow unicorn one was a white chocolate drink and was bloody good and my partner had salted caramel one and it was good to. There is loads more stuff there in cakes ice cream and other drinks and you will never be disappointed by it.

Went in today and got their special blondie pie and it was sensational. The creme egg cheesecake looked amazing too and I was reliably informed that it tasted great. Super friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Opened this tripadvisor account specifically as I felt this shop deserved it. Keep up the excellent work.

Really nice puddings husband said was the nicest pudding he’s ever had owner and young girl couldn’t b more helpful only downside market dosnt open Sunday as we would go on weekly basis as husband plays golf on Saturdays but will deff go when we can

I took my wife here for her birthday as she's been dying to go. It was amazing and my wife loved it and it made her day. The food was unreal and desserts were out of this world. The service was Excellent and the lady serving us was funny and very friendly and helpful. I'll be back here 100% even if it's just to take my little'un for Ice cream. I can't recommend it highly enough :-)

Came here straight after going to Cafe at the end of the universe and we are so glad we did! We had the nuttela professor waffles and the girdlebuster pie and we're not disappointed, the ice cream was incredibly creamy and there was enough of everything so that is wasn't too much or too little. Worth the cost and we will definitely be back!

My sister and I had the afternoon tea and it was incredible! The staff are so friendly and helpful, they definitely deserve recognition for great customer service. The food itself was so delicious. There were chicken and beef sliders, corn dogs, halloumi fries, french fries, tortilla chips for the savoury. The sweets were scones, sweet potato pie, chocolate orange cheesecake and cookie/cakepops. Everything was so fresh, we couldn't decide what the best part was! Businesses like this deserve community support. They value for money, quality, creativity and service are all brilliant.

I've been visiting since they've opened, and everything they do is fantastic. The kids love the different ice cream flavours, and the waffles are absolutely delicious.

We’ve been a few times recently. My husband, the kids and I love it as a nice treat whilst we are out shopping. The staff and friendly and helpful and the food is delicious and freshly made to order. Good coffee served too. Our favourite is the Nutella professor - waffles with Nutella, ice cream and fresh strawberries. It’s amazing!

My Husband and I have been to this fantastic cafe far too many times haha! The waffles are just to die for, the afternoon tea is second to none, and the range of items available means we always find something to satisfy our sweet tooth! I can’t recommend this place highly enough it really is a gem. All the staff are wonderful and friendly, and the decor really sets it apart from anywhere else in Warrington.

Had a delicious afternoon tea here. Not sure whether I liked the sweet or savoury stuff most. Either way, it was amazing. You definitely won't go home hungry. The staff looked after us really well and it was great value.

Absolutely loved it! Lovely staff. Deserves to be more recognised. I didn't finish my drink so a staff member put it in a takeaway cup instead of me struggling trying to tip it back into the bottle. Prices are quite high but you can pay by card and cash. The food I had is gawjus (I had the ice cream in the bowl). I'm not a chocolatey person but still loved it. The only con I have is that the spoon didn't fit in the bowl and kept falling out. They have cold and hot drinks available. Will be going back again.
