Excellent pie and mash, a bit different filing to our usual manzies. Pies very tasty, mash Excellent and liquor lovely. Wathen decided to have the very highly recommended apple pie and custard. I shared one with my son, it was very tasty. Bought a couple more apple pies to take home. 5 star service from the girls, great place, great atmosphere, super service. That's what makes a 5 star review

Wow the food is amazing!! Best food in town, I would recommend that you try and have breakfast here. It is hot in temperature and cooked very professionally.

The best place ever. Tasty food, large selection, pie mash is the real old fashioned how it should be, every dish my family & friends have had has been the best, really friendly staff, always busy, well organised, clean & my family, fiends & I have been going there regularly since it opened. Would strongly recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely tasteless pies and liquor. Texture and presentation were as per expectations so looked promising. Unfortunately it tasted of NOTHING. Liquor was basically coloured water. Same as pies. Even after adding (lot of) salt, it still didn’t do the trick. I have very bland taste in general so for me to find something bland it is very difficult. Overpriced jellied eels at 4£90 for 4 tiny pieces of eels and loads of jellies. Was looking forward to find a nice little local place but will not return.

Had a lovely lunch lunch. Traditional pie, mash and liquor for him and liver and bacon for me. Huge portions. Both plates cleared. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hubby really impressed which is a rarity

Went to Danny's with my son yesterday for pie and mash the food was delicious and it is very clean and tidy the staff are always friendly polite and pleasant love going to Danny's.

Great value for money and superb service. Cook fast and friendly. Just by the bus stop and 10 mins walk to tube station.

I for my sins live near Blackpool, sadly my Mum is in a Care Home in Chigwell and loves Jellied Eels . When I visit it is by train so getting to Danny's then to the Care Home is out of the question, so I rang Danny's to see if they would deliver, yes they would and did right on time. Mum really enjoyed them. Great job Danny's

I have only started coming to this wonderful place. You walk up to the counter and there is always the same lady there, always with a welcoming smile on her face. Order always taken efficiently and never a long wait for their delicious fare. Been here for breakfast and lunches and everything is always outstanding at great value prices. An establishment that should be more than proud of themselves.

Lovely traditional eastend pie and mash, I highly recommend Danny's pie and mash shop. The staff are lovely and very helpful & friendly too I'm a strange one as I have gravy with mine but I like to have the liquor too so they put the liquor in a separate dish for me as I like to mix it in as I eat.

Good range of breakfasts but go for the pie and mash. lovely home cooked pies. liquor good, chilli vinegar also good. Staff friendly.

A frequent user of Dannys pie n mash, i am drawn to this cuisine by a mixture of nostalgia and curiosity. Back in the day P and M as it was affectionately referred to was a cheap dinner for the proletariat. It has obviously risen to a Michelin Star type indulgence. I glory in my return to the heaven that is called pie and mash.

The Pie & Mash served by Danny’s is the best I have ever eaten . Friendly service . The lady in charge serves every body with a smile. Fast and efficient service. I live in Melbourne Australia, I come to London during the summer months and stay in Ilford Essex . First thing I look forward is the pie &mash from Danny’s. Good , clean and enjoyable. Not authentic but not too bad . Not the right pastry and not enough gravy in the pies. I think it's very hard now to get real pie and mash.

One of my regular lunchtime haunts purely because the Pie and Mash is good and am always assured of a friendly welcome.

We pop in here on many occasions, lovely people and lovely fresh cooked good food all as good as homemade, perfect pie and Mash and chips like your mum would make.

Pie and mash is not for everyone: me I love it and have eaten in just about all Londons old school shops. Danny's is up there with the best. If you don't like the cockney medicine: they have a full menu, with a blinding lasagne.

Pastel de puré mejor que he tenido. Tan lindo aún tienen un pastel de puré alrededor y tienda especialmente uno que sirve comida increíble. Incluso si no te gusta la tarta y puré hacen desayunos, tortillas y cualquier cosa que le guste para el desayuno, brunch o almuerzo.

Second visit. The staff were very polite and helpful and food was great! It has also updated the chairs and tables so it's much more comfortable. The only criticism I have is that they do not accept credit or debit cards.

This is a great little café. Doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is. I come here with my mother every couple of months for stewed eels and mash with the gorgeous 'liquor' and they are truly awesome. I'm aware many people aren't keen on this dish and so am grateful that this café still serves them. The main waitress is always fabulous and kind to my mother. The café has also recently been done up and I hope it goes from strength to strength.

They have recently refurbished, it's brighter, airier and larger. Pie and mash is really good as are the breakfasts. Good variety on menu. The service is quick and staff friendly and welcoming.would highly recommend a visit. Now 30 mins free parking on high Rd. Leisure centre car park also in close proximity.

First time i have been back in years. WAS NOT IMPRESSED BACK THEN BUT IAM NOW the last time was mabe 11 years ago. last week we only walked in to get a coffee,but on seeing the clean new look of the place we decided to order a fry up, YOU DONT NEED TO LOOK ANY FURTHER FOR GREAT VALUE & SERVICE. Danny's has just been completely refurbished and Extended lovely Large Restaurant and very Comfortable The food is Still Excellent, not just the pie & mash, breakfasts, lunches, snacks, staff are friendly and inviting, nothing to much trouble, great value for money. Love It !! + Home Made Chips.

This place is just great. I am a vegetarian so was never interested in eating here but because my nephew loves it I decided to try it. They make an amazing quorn pie. There is a lady who runs it called Maria who is just a darling. I have one nephew who loves pie and mash and one who does not and she even allows the one who doesn't like pie and mash to eat the food we buy him somewhere else in her establishment so that my family can all sit together and eat as the rest of us purchase from there. It's such a warm and friendly environment and I can't wait to go back for my next quorn pie and see the lovely Maria.

Visited saturday for the first time whilst visiting family in little heath. Three had pie and mash, one home made chips, egg and ham, my daughter just chips. Food was excellent, staff very busy, but happy to chat. The shop was packed when we arrived, whilst we were eating and as leaving. Fab place, only disappointed that they don't have a shop like this where I live in Watford. Would definitely recommend.

Danny’s Traditional Pie and Mash is located on a main High Street, parking wasn’t a problem and available off a side street. The pie and Mash shop is decorated like a traditional Pie and Mash shop and inside there are 13 tiled tables. There is staining to the ceiling tiles and it would look better if they were replaced. The front area was clean and the shop was also very busy being a lunch time. All the seats were taken and there was a queue. The staff were rushed of their feet and no time for any smiles but appeared organised and efficient. They obviously have a lot of regular customers.The Pie and mash shop is also a Café and served an array of traditional English dishes. The lunch looked nice but the home made chips were very tasteless even with salt. If would be beneficial if they looked at finding a nicer potato. The vegetarian pie was extremely tasteless too, more seasoning is required at the stage of cooking it. It doesn’t compare with ‘The Cockney Grub House’ for taste.
