Daniels Fish & Chips in Weymouth and Portland

The Staff are lovely, polite & friendly. The food is always amazing & really hot. Good size portions & good value gor money. Lovely young man, Garion, who served us was very friendly & helpful.

We regularly get our fish and chips from Daniels in Wyke. Ordered online on Christmas Eve. Order was being wrapped as I arrived to collect so well timed service. Lovely cooked Haddock and the chips tasted like recently cooked too. Will be back again soon.

The food was good and the portions very large. We were served by a very young girl when we ordered she looked like a rabbit In the headlights. She managed to get our order wrong 3 times but she seemed to be new but had no support . The whole place was in chaos and they had about 5 orders on the go and managed to get them all wrong. Check your orders when you get them and be prepared for a wait, it's worth it because the food is good.

Our go to place for the best fish and chips. We have used it ever since Daniels took it over. An essential stop if you feel hungry on the way to or from Weymouth or Portland.

Daniels is our go to fish and chip shop in Weymouth. Beautiful fresh fish everytime and chips the way they should be cooked.

We popped into Daniels fish and chips for a quick dinner before a 1.5 hour drive home from Portland. Tom served us, we were being very indecisive and bought a number of items after we’d paid for each one individually! Tom was patient, kind and didn’t make us feel like we were being a nuisance, we had a very warm and friendly experience and a delicious supper (with extra salt & vinegar) to boot! Highly recommended!

Fantastic fish and chips! Best we’ve had in years. Holidaying nearby and saw we could order for collection. Designated collection time and food was ready right on the nose. The fish was lovely, beautifully cooked with really crispy batter. The chips and sides of curry sauce and gravy were delicious and really good portions. Highly recommended

Ordered at 7:07 pm stood there for 28 minutes while the just eat orders were done , Chips were over cooked , The one older woman was slamming the till shut and was very rude , why work with the public if you have a very bad attitude , fish was small not what it used to be , chicken burger was small not the same fillet as 2 weeks ago , Probably The Slowest chip shop I have ever visited , ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING CHIP SHOP

We ordered online for collection and we arrived 20 mins before collection time and then waited 25 mins from after pick up time. 1 staff member was what made this experience awful. A young girl with black hair with an attitude confronted one customer after he asked that hes been waiting nearly an hour from pick up time and no sign of it being made or even completing his order and when is his order going to be ready..... 1 hour! In the time frame we stood there and that customer was there, only 2 orders left that shop... 2! She came at him with a disgusting attitude yelling at him to shut up, he said is this going to be another 2 hours she told him he can wait another 2 hours for all she cared and was absolutely vile to watch her with 0 customer service skills. She spoke back, got angry, was rude and had a disgusting attitude. There was 1 other girl with pink hair who just worked really hard whilst this black haired girl did nothing and had a tantrum out the back for 15 - 30 mins whilst she was rushed off her feet trying to get the orders done. Once she came back from her strop she wasnt helping the girl and her mannerisms was clear she still had an attitude. We were made aware that a staff member was sick and they were "rushed", we didnt dispute that but only seeing 2 orders leave from being 45 mins stood their is poor and not productive. It seemed they had nothing ready as ran out of ingredients part way through they kept saying couldnt find the cod, didnt make the conscious effort to stop online orders as the girls didnt know how which showed poor training but what made it worse was when being asked by 4 customers for a refund as they didnt want to wait anymore from the hour they had to, she yelled at them saying they didnt know the password to do a refund so we are just going to have to wait... just awful, never experienced a worker like it. Once our food arrived chips were soggy and over cooked think this is due to the shambles of the evening.

Probably the slowest fish and chip shop in the world. Tried this one a couple of times. Had to wait well over half an hour on a Saturday evening even with no queue.

Visited the other day for the first time and very impressed! Food cooked fresh to order, reasonably priced and very tasty! They were quite busy (obviously popular) which meant a bit of a wait but it was so worth it. The cheesy chips with curry sauce was the best I've ever tasted!! Will be back!

Long wait for food, customers getting frustrated with wait times and mistakes with their orders. The staff member frying food seemed badly organised and was rude to other staff members who were young and looked worried when he shouted at them. Chips were undercooked, but battered sausage was nice. Chip portions are quite small.

Bought one portion of chips, not impressed, cold and hard would never buy from here again And very small portion for £3.50. Also I found the chips seem to be cut quite large.

So I ordered 9 chicken nuggets and only got 7, I’ve ordered from Daniel’s a lot lately but after this I won’t be again, it’s bad enough being charged over £5 for delivery but to not even get an order right is unacceptable especially for the price.

went there twice while on holiday in Wyke the first visit we couldn't fault but the second the fish was very greasey and chips over cooked

Bloody lovely, battered sausage n chips, luxury steak pie n chips curry sauce and fishcakes, hot the spot! Also had apple fritters for Halloween, ordered 2 portions as thought there'd only be 1 in a portion for £1, 4 fritters per portion, and they were delicious! Even got breakfast now too!

Awful food so soggy and full of grease all went into the bin ! sent email never got response. Will never go back to Daniels fish and chips.

First time at a 'Daniel's' Fish & Chip shop it won't be our last. Quality of the Cod in particular was excellent, chips were tasty and well seasoned on the counter. Overall good value for money. It was a very busy shop as you would expect on a Friday evening around 6pm, with at least 50% of the orders being for Deliveroo or phone orders. So there are ordering options for people.

Arrived on time to collect kept being told it would be a couple minutes for us to be stood there for 25/30mins food was lovely once we got it home but would rather order somewhere that we. Won’t have to wait that long.

The best fish, chips & peas ever. I messed up the order on line and Daniel sorted it for me. Very pleasant and helpful staff. We went to Billy's Winters Beach Bar a couple of days after and had fish n Chips, it was no where near as good as Daniels.

average meal chips have been better

Food ordered just after 6.30pm and it arrived gone 8pm. It was scheduled for delivery between 7.10 and 7.30. We only found out there was a delay with drivers when we chased them for an update, and this happened twice. When the food arrived it was warm and soggy! The dog enjoyed it! Lovely!

Chaotic ordering system, we got ignored for 5-10 minutes whilst people behind us in the queue got their order taken, before they finally served us. Food was fine

Had a delivery 6th May 2023, in the delivery were two large fish, no fish just batter. The takeaway was from the Wyke Regis branch, very disappointed having spent £50, will be awhile before we buy from Daniel's again.
