This really is our fav fish and chip shop. Excellent quality as usual, tasty as always. Would recommend to anyone

Good fish and chips, fast waiting time, Seats and maritime climate inside.

We ordered saveloy sausages and they didn't cook them properly, they were solid and pink. When we went back to ask for them to be cooked again, they warmed the same sausages up but they were still raw. When confronted the staff told us they are special ones and they're meant to be like that. We threw them away and won't be returning.

I needed to find gluten free fish and chips and I was lucky to find this restaurant. My cod and chips were one of the best I had ever had, batter was so light, almost tempura and the fish was thick and very tasty. My daughter had non GF which was equally lovely.

Fantastic Gluten Free cod and chips last night. Massive portion of chips could've fed 2 or 3 of us. 2nd time I've been and I'd definitely recommend it and it was so close to where we were drinking on the harbour. Seating area was clean, staff were friendly and the food was great.

Fabulous Gluten Free Fish choices, Battered Sausage, Chips & Curry Sauce. Highly recommend. Lots of "normal" choices as well. I was so excited to have such a range of choices & they were delicious. If your anywhere in the Weymouth area & Coeliac or not go & visit you won't be disappointed. Enjoy. xx

Gluten-free sausage and chips. I regularly drive down to this chip shop as there isn't one in nearby Dorchester. I am coeliac and have never had a reaction, which is a good sign for food hygiene protocols. Everything is cooked fresh, so yes there can be a wait. Usually about 5-6mins

Best gluten free fish and chips I’ve ever had. I’m not a great fan of fish and chips as they can be greasy and sometimes the batter a bit stodgy but this was neither of these. Lovely grease free and crispy chips and fish. Small dining area to the side which is clean and tidy. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Wish gluten free food as good as this was more available as it’s often a pain trying to find something as often cross contamination due to oil being used for everything. Great experience will be visiting again definitely

Good people working there. I went in after a stressful confrontation with a different business company that was near that road, heard my story and let me vent, being completely understanding and kind. The food is very filling (which sadly we couldn’t finish but that was more on me than anything) and the atmosphere is very patient and kind. Definitely recommend.

Really impressed, both with the food and staff. We ate in, which was the same price as the takeaway price. Food was served basket style. Simple, but perfect for what we wanted. Wine and beer was also very reasonable. Portion sizes were great too. All in all brilliant. We shall be back!!

Brilliant for gluten free, real good understanding about cc, felt very safe

They gave me a regular meal instead of a gluten-free one, so it's lucky I double checked with them. That they redid the order after this and the chips were of a reasonable quality is why this isn't a 1-star review. They also offered me a free drink (which I hadn't asked for) included with the kids meal. I later realised they had charged me for it! So, in all, I paid for a drink I didn't ask for and was very nearly made ill. I'm local and won't be coming back.

1st time here as both my usual chippies had very long queues so popped across the road to this one on the recommendation of a friend whose son gets his gluten free meals here. We had 2 standard normal cod and a portion of chips to share and struggled to finish as portions are generous. Lovely light batter and all cooked to order.

My uncle is coeliac and was really pleased to be able to get actual gluten free cod and chips cooked in separate oil. I had a lovely very fresh and meaty haddock and good chips. The staff are very pleasant and polite. I recommend it!

Went here last night,after seeing all the good reviews, I drove 2 hrs especially for this and it was worth it . Amazing size fish and tasted delicious,and chips long and chunky and tasted great. Very friendly here and even gave me wooden knife and fork to eat my takeaway with. Will definitely come back

Thought we'd try this one for a change, and really pleased we did. Was piping hot when it turned up, everything was delicious and very generous portions. Delivery was 10 minutes late but no issue with that at all. Would absolutely have food from here again.

Another amazing gluten free fish and chip shop. Options shown on the menu and cooked fresh in a dedicated fryer. The fish was fresh and flakey in a crispy tasty batter and the chips were just as good. Well worth a visit 🙂

Gorgeous GLUTEN-FREE fish and chips! So good we ate there Saturday and Sunday as the 10 year old celiac loved it so much. Staff were friendly and the service is great. Replaces/ Bennetts easily now Bennetts don't do GF. We will be back soon!! X

Absolutely brilliant chip shop everything we had tasted outstanding you might have to wait for it but it's well worth the wait you will not get better chips anywhere else in the area.

Had 3 fish and chips takeaway, lovely freshly cooked, nice white fish, very fairly priced, so hot! Our only gripe is the batter was a little stodgy, not light and crispy! I would eat here again❤️

Great Gluten free fish and chips with gluten free vinegar ( bonus) very friendly staff. Was just missing a cup of tea while eating in.

My wife who is gluten intolerant had given up hope of ever again experiencing the taste of battered cod and chips with brown vinegar, We were in Weymouth for the day, and debating what we should have for our evening meal, when we stumbled across the Old Harbour fish and chip restaurant with an advertising sign outside proclaiming gluten-free fish and chips with gluten-free vinegar available. We obviously could not get in there quick enough. The quality was excellent, with lovely white flakey cod. Surprisingly the cost was no more than for the standard fish and chips, and very reasonable. I recommend if you are anywhere near Weymouth, pay this fish and shop a visit, particularly if you’re a coeliac

This is the 2nd time we’ve tried Old Harbour 1st time we were in town & they cook everything fresh. So ordered a takeaway & was just as delicious! Our new favourite chippy! They are definitely overshadowed by Marlboro, but so much better! 10/10!

Very polite staff but need training. They are confused when getting busy. Smaller fish than other restaurants. It's cheaper than around but not worthy ? You can actually sit down and eat. That's is big bonus.

Had takeaway fish and chips with battered sausage all gluten free 😋, you can see all cooked separately and boxes marked gluten free, very safe for coeliac and delicious wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

Me and my mate came in and the order rack behind them was empty but it took 20 to get our food ik it’s not that long but they didn’t start perping till his coworker came in after battering the fish he just rinsted his hands he didn’t wash them they use the same tongs for the sausage and the cod which could cause someone to have and allergic reaction and half way into my mate eating his cod he I saw the batter was raw and when we went to ask the guy he said there was nothing he could do

Being celiac we found this chippy did gluten free fish and chips. The gluten free fish and chips was yummy. The restaurant section lets it down a bit as it is a bit basic and not as clean as you would like. £1.65 is a bit steep for 2 mayonnaise pots and a tomato ketchup.

Best fish and chips I have had in a very long time

Massive waits disorganised staff waited 45 mins to be served the 20 for food but it was busy everywhere walked all the way back to beach to find that my boys chicken nuggets were in fact scampi. Not the best . Curry sauce A1 but chips lacking scampi was nice even though it defo wasn't a chicken nugget

Excellent fish and chips takeaway supper which we ate harbourside. Delicious and cooked fresh to order. Very reasonably priced. Polite and professional service. Would thoroughly recommend.

We have visited before, but this time we took our Grandson & require Gluten free food. The GF options were brilliant with a separate fryer. The fish was delicious and the GF curry sauce as good as any. My only slight niggle is having the food served in plastic trays with grease proof paper under the food. It means your food sits in the oil it is cooked in, so doesn’t stay as crispy as it could. I would prefer a plate or even eating out of the takeaway wrapping, but it won’t stop us visiting when we are next in Weymouth.

Very poor customer service and the was food was really oily. Seemed like it pained them to answer any questions with each being met with an eye roll. They also don't allow any drinks from outside into the shop fair enough, but they also don't sell any juice, great(!).

Very disappointing. Waited 25 minutes for fish to be cooked. Paid in advance for drinks, but said it will come out with the food. Quality of the fish was very poor and greasy, however the chips were ok. General cleanliness of the place wasn’t great. Certainly won’t be returning to this establishment.

We have had the most amazing family fish and chips tonight at The Old Harbour Fish and chips! Cod and chips cooked fresh and delicious and able to cater for our gluten free needs for our 5 year old. Nothing was too much trouble, they were really kind, super helpful and gave a great service. Well done to you all. Keep up the excellent work! I would go as far as to say this was the best fish and chips we've ever had in Weymouth! We have returned for a second visit before heading home too. Amazing again and my daughter LOVED her gluten free battered sausage! A delight she has never been able to have before! Amazing all round.

I used the Old Harbour Fish and chips as it was the nearest to me on Google Maps and I’m not from Weymouth. In terms of flavour and quality, it was probably the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. It did take a while but a notice does mention everything is cooked to order.

We went here so as not to have to stand and queue across the road because it looked decent from the outside. What struck me was finding they don't have any meal deals such as mini fish and chips or sausage, chips and peas. So we ordered a mini fish (which came as two pieces), two jumbo sausages and a large portion of chips. 3 cans of pop at 1.50 each is a little steep but I get it. We sat in the dining area.I don't know why they've chosen to use the chairs and tables they have because they are two big for the room. The table behind me sat down and I had to budge in so close to the table I couldn't breathe. Food took a while to come but it is a numbered ticket system which is better than nothing. Wasn't disappointed by the chips overall. Had worse. Portion size good.

This is the best fish and chip shop in Weymouth. Been coming here ever since they opened. Clean, friendly, reasonable and very tasty. AND gluten free! Forget the rest, try the best!

Definitely not the best chippy I have visited. The place opposite appeared to have been doing a great trade, but they were just closing. Luckily the Old Harbour was still open, but I wouldn't rate it. They do deep fried chocolate bars which I was keen to sample. Being my first try it wouldn't be fair for me to say whether it was any good.

Bit pricey but that’s the case with all fish and chips shops nowadays. Only fish and chip takeaway open late and the food was great.
