Dandelion Cafe in Bradford

What a wonderful find. Beautiful energy being located within a yoga and therapy centre. The food was superb. All high quality tasty vegetarian or vegan so we were spoilt for choice. Their triple chocolate brownie is one of the best I've ever had... Not too sweet n healthy yet so tasty. Delightful staff also.

Delicious freshly made vegan food - we are not vegan but will definitely visit again! Lovely relaxing space, perfect for lunch.

Could definitely turn you veggie for at least once a week. Really tasty burger, potato salad humous and scrummy cake. On road at side of tesco express.

Relaxed chilled atmosphere , great decor,clean, lovely friendly staff and AMAZING food ! We are not veggie or vegan but we come here to eat beautiful freshly cooked non meat dishes ..that are filled with flavour texture and colour everything cooked to perfection ! And the best cake ever.! Cannot believe there is no butter or eggs in these delicious cakes..all made with TLC. You guys have it ALL RIGHT ! Well done . Keep it up .xxx

After visiting the vintage fair in saltaire we looked ..in the cafe in salts mill ,however there was a large queue. so we decided to look at the Main Street which was disappointing.lack of cafes lots of empty shops. We met a nice lady with a spaniel who recommended Dandelion cafe. Not far from here and Easy to find.. Had gluten free and vegetarian menu which was excellent . Food and Coffee were delicious. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended. Will definitely be back.

Have eaten here several times now. Each time the food has been absolutely delicious. You can tell alot of love and soul goes into the meals. Its delicious!

We popped into this gem of a Cafe after a long walk on Sunday. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We had the Mexican Tempeh Burger and the Smokey Blackbean and Tempeh burger which both came with a tasty side salad and perfect chips. Everything is made in house and it was all super tasty. The lady who took our order was very helpful even though she was run off her feet and I had a thousand questions about the food. It was busy but we didn't seem to have to wait very long at all. It was a very enjoyable visit and we will be going again. 10/10 all round.

Lovely food, great staff, friendly vibe. I had the tempeh and black bean burger, delicious, and my daughter had avocado on sour dough, we requested for the dressing on the side instead of over the avocado and the chef was happy to oblige. A lovely visit, we will come back 😊

Brilliant vegan cafe which is also very good for wheat free (gluten free) vegans like me. It is very fairly priced and the staff are absolutely lovely! I had the falafel wrap with salad and chips (the chips were amazing!!) and my partner had the beetroot burger which was HUGE! we met the owner called Dan, who was a very lovely guy too! I bought one of each raw cake to take ‘home’ but I doubt they will last the journey ☺️ What a lovely find!

Well worth making a trip to this cafe. Lovely food. I had a falafel wrap for £6.50, my friend a meze selection for £9. Couldn't fault the food or the service. Really nice environment. Interesting photos on the wall courtesy of the local Bingley camera club. Check their hours first as not open daily. Under 10 minute walk from the train station.

Great vegan food. Recommend the Dahl with lemon noodles. Good selection of desserts. Friendly staff, good service.

Eating in or taking out, all the food here is great - fresh, fab flavours and colours, and served with care. We’re especially big fans of the tempeh burger and seriously love the cacao mocha. Dandelion is light, spacious, colourful, with photography exhibitions and good tunes.

Visited Dandelion Cafe for the second time today and managed to try the food this time. It was really delicious. Both meals that we ordered were really tasty, and healthy too! :) The staff were really friendly and there is a great selection of hot drinks. The cafe is a lovely place to spend time, with a photography exhibition on the walls. Would highly recommend.

Delicious vegan food , freshly prepared. Super staff. No, hang on, ignore the vegan bit, this place will appeal to the taste buds of everybody. Go on, risk it, you will not regret one mouthful.

Great choice of wraps, sandwiches and snacks and lovely smoothies and juices. Easy going service and great atmosphere - a real asset for Saltaire.

What a fab find this turned out to be. Set just off the high street in a cul-de-sac you might miss this place. We arrived on a very damp Tuesday afternoon and it was quite empty but within half an hour it had filled up.I had the meze which was as vibrant looking as it was tasty- delicious. My husband had soup as well as the burger which he also enjoyed .The website suggests you check their Facebook page as they change their menus.Another plus is the size of tables , enough room so plenty of space and very modern.Can't wait to visit again.

1st visit here, however my wife has been a few times. Food, atmosphere and team are all amazing! I’m not a vegan however do love to try different things and have been leaning towards more plant based foods. I was really in the mood for fresh home made falafel and they didn’t disappoint!! It was truly delicious thanks. Will definitely be back!

The food here is always delicious and you’re left feeling like you’ve eaten healthily too. Friendly service as well.

Vegan food done with aplomb. A lot of choices. Healthy food in a converted industrial building that houses various Yoga and New Age literature and courses. I found the member of staff at the counter where you order very brittle and a little lacking in the warmth and welcome dept..There was a substantial rock photo exhibition. The rather sterile serenity is partly due to the tall ceiling and wide rooms I think - all rather spoikt by some hideously tacky glass table surfaces that also house arrangements of Pepsi / Lager bottle tops. Jarring!

Had lunch today our first visit and it was lovely We both had burgers, one beetroot and one aduki bean and tempeh, both gorgeous with salad, gherkins and vegan mayo. Nicely presented, colourful and tasty Our greyhound Art was made very welcome and offered water and given a fussLarge portions so no room for pud but they all sounded lovelyNice vibe too, interesting music and peaceful calming decorThe place was almost full so the service was quite slow but evidence that everything is freshly prepared Worth the wait

Stopped here for a late lunch. Fab sour dough toast and avocado. Great coffee too. Really lovely surroundings and great art on walls.

I have visited this cafe since it opened last year, it really is my favourite place. The food is really good, the staff are super friendly and accommodating. The cakes are some of the best vegan cakes I’ve ever had. There is a wide variety of drinks (iced matcha/coffees, coconut waters etc etc) and free water is available. The whole place has such a lovely vibe. I will continue to visit often and would recommend to anyone, vegan or not, to try it out.

We visited for our anniversary breakfast and we were not disappointed.

This place was recommended by another local restaurant as being great for vegans so me and my gluten free friend headed there hoping for a decent meal. We definitely were not disappointed with so much to choose from. The service was superb and just so friendly. The dishes were fresh and creative. I was in my element, as was my omni gluten free friend. I thought the cheesecake was amazing but actually everything was. Such great vale too. If I’m in the area again I’ll definitely return.

Visited this cafe on a precious Sunday off work and it did not disappoint!

Lovely quiet, spacious cafe with 100% vegan menu. Tempeh and Bean Burger one of the best I’ve ever had! Mezze also very tasty, finished off with amazing banoffee pie cake and raw triple chocolate brownie. Delightful.

If you're not vegan, don't let it put you off, you'll come out with a fully belly and a big smile. Took little kids with us, nobody seemed to mind.

Found this restaurant whilst cruising the Leeds to Liverpool canal having googled vegetarian restaurants. So glad we found it the food was inspired with great flavours. Would thoroughly recommend.

Ate there yesterday. Great burgers, home made chips, wild garlic mayo... would happily eat it all again in a second. They serve no booze - but you can take your own 🍻 Staff were ace too. Try it, you’ll never look back 🙌🏻

Am in Bradford on business so made the trip to this place. It exceeded my expectation with great food and service. The atmosphere was relaxed and just what I was looking for. The food is really quite something and very helpful. I highly recommend and it’s worth the trip.

Turned up sat down . Practically empty . Couple of tables booked so told not serving for an hour and had to leave. Charming.

Lovely building, good choice of vegan food and super staff. Beetroot burger with fab chips and slaw. Beautifully spiced and seasoned. Dahl with pasta , chocolate peanut slice and chocolate with raspberry cake. Yum !! Now I am not vegan or vegetarian but the food was a delight.

Lovely lovely cafe! Was served by a wonderful girl with stunning nails! I could tell they were nails due to her not being a bird of prey. Great food and great service. 5*

A nice atmosphere, really extensive menu however I was not impressed with the server with long unhygienic fingernails who proceeded to sprinkle spice on my drink using her talons. I’m surprised that you can be a server with long nails these days

Who’d have thought vegan food could be so tasty? I didn’t until I went to this vegan cafe in Saltaire. The daal is superb although this time I had one of the specials - chilli made with dark chocolate - also very good. My partner had the beetroot burger. The raw chocolate brownie is heavenly and there is a great selection to choose from. The cafe is part of a yoga centre and there is a very serene feel to the place. It is decorated with a wonderful photo exhibition which was launched there earlier this month. Customers sit on long tables canteen style - although there is a comfy seated area. There’s plenty of parking which is always a plus in Saltaire. Breakfasts are served and include avocado on sour dough toast - my fave - and the cafe opens on a Sunday which is great. There’s the full range of coffees and some more interesting drinks including some made with turmeric. This is Dan the owner’s first cafe venture and is being received well locally. It is dog friendly - an added bonus for pet lovers.

Really wide selection of food, very helpful staff. The food was delicious (I'm not even vegetarian) and puts paid to the idea vegan food is bland. Very easy to find and lovely space to sit. The coffee is also really good.

Moved our knitting group here & meet every Monday 5-7pm. Knitters/crocheters come & join us! Food, staff & environment absolutely fab! We love this place! My favourite is the mezze & peppermint tea!

I have been a few times recently. Every time it has been beautiful. The food is scrumptious and the staff are friendly and welcoming.highly recommend a visit even if your not vegan inclined. The turmeric latte and the cheese cakes are definitely worth trying.

I dine here on a weekly basis. The food is tasty fresh and beautifully presented. The staff are friendly and welcoming and really helpful. Can't fault it. Really nice open plan kitchen so you can see the food being prepared. Absolutely yummy

Our family regularly visit Dandelion Cafe and have not had a disappointing meal yet. Our favourites are the meze (our 4-year-old loves this!), the beetroot burger and the falafel wrap. The cakes are also exceptionally tasty and knowing the ingredients are pretty healthy certainly helps with any guilt! Spiced cacao is also worth a try - I am addicted! Relaxed atmosphere and a nice small collection of toys/books available.

Everything about this place is great, the drinks, the food, the location and the staff. The food is always top quality and well presented. The staff are clearly well educated and passionate when it's comes to food, and they are always welcoming and friendly towards anyone who walks through the door. I recommend anyone to visit this place to try it out for themselves.

i just love the fact that such a delicious restaurant and venue has opened. it's helping me to make the leap from vegi to vegan..... can't get over how beautiful the food is. the staff are all lovely, and its such a great space to be in...fave new eatery

The kitchen hygiene, cross food contamination, health and safety, is very poor. I have seen the chef using the same knife and chopping boards for Many different types of foods, chefs wear jewellery and lick their fingers to taste food contaminating dishes ready to be served with saliva.i haven't seen them washing their hands either at all during the service. I believe none of them is a qualified chef and is not aware of health and safety hygiene food standards.

Hidden away down a side street halfway between Shipley and Saltaire, this is worth finding. I have been a few times for coffee and cake and always find the place relaxing, area and with very friendly staff. Today I had lunch for the first time, and excellent mixed meze of veggie {or was it 'fully vegan'? It didn't matter to me as I am an omnivore anyway.

Went yesterday afternoon , as I was waiting for my food, I looked into the kitchen . It’s open plan. Looking forward to a good bit of food . Saw the guy was puttin his fingers into a blender full of something , he then licked his fingers , sucked the stuff off them . He did this couple of times n then used the same hand t put/ arrange the food onto the plate which the waiter then brought out and put down in front of me. I sat in disbelief ?! , was lookin at the guy who had just had his saliva covered fingers into the food they then served me. He noticed me lookin at him and arrogantly asked what my problem was? My problem is I don’t want to pay for and eat food that has someone else’s saliva in it. When I brought up what I had just seen the waiter found it funny and laughed . I asked the guy who had put his unwashed saliva covered fingers into my food what his name was , he arrogantly replied it was none of my business . Foul , unhygienic and arrogant man. Proper ruined my day. Have eaten there before but now wonder how much of the kitchen staff saliva was in my food. Obviously won’t eat there again would like to complain to environmental health . Got no genuine apology just laughter and arrogance . Feel pure disgusted . Basic food hygiene not even there

I love this place, I should have left a review much sooner! Dan and colleagues create great plant based food which doesn't rely heavily on substitutes like so many vegan cafe's. I love the variety of colours and flavours they serve up on one plate. Portion sizes are generous especially for the price. Very friendly, great service always nice to have a chat with Dan about the food. Heartily recommended for vegans, vegetarians and, dare I say it, I think meat eaters would really enjoy eating here too!

Dandelion Cafe is near the centre of Shipley - calling it Saltaire is really stretching it a bit, but it's handy enough for Saltaire. Their publicity promises delicious food - perhaps a dark night in early January is not the time to test it , but we thought it was just OK. J had a beetroot and quinoa burger - it was a bit soft and flavour just OK and the bun it was in was undistinguished. I had a meze plate, and felt that it was somewhat the same. 'Buckwheat tabbouleh' really needed more lemon juice and herbs to up the flavour, tzatziki was overprocessed and needed more garlic etc. Zattar pitta with it was nice. I was full afterwards and we felt the food was perfectly serviceable and undoubtedly generally wholesome, but nothing was delicious and we didn't feel it was somewhere we'd go to eat for the pleasure of it, for deliciousness. J had been before and this reinforced her feelings. I'd give it another go, and we've certainly eaten vegan meals which felt more penitential and worthy (Le Grenier de Notre-Dame in Paris some years ago springs to mind), but we won't rush back, I think.

You must try this place even if your not vegan because the food is fantastic. I had a burger in a ciabatta the other week - amazing taste, filling, full of flavour, good value fro money and felt really healthy. it came with salad and chunky potato wedge type things. the raspberry and coconut cake was one of the best cakes I've ever had and the hot chocolate with coconut milk beats any other I've had in any cafe.

Called in for lunch, we had the bean burgers and chips which were delicious! The coffee was really good also. We will definitely be back, it’s the best vegan cafe we’ve been to in a long time and I can see it becoming a favourite!

Food was exceptionally good - I had the mezze and chocolate cake. Service was friendly. The eating area was spacious and quiet. Prices were reasonable. There was a gender-neutral toilet. Overall, I would highly recommend Dandelion Cafe!

Perfect for my vegan friend who was visiting salt mills. The staff are incredibly friendly and the food was exactly what we were looking for. A great selection, at good prices with excellent service. They even had a selection of vegan desserts!

Such a relaxing space and the staff deserve all the credit by being so friendly. We had lattes made with oat milk (chai and matcha), mezze for two (gluten free corn cakes) and chocolate cake (no processed sugar - agave syrup I think). Excellent value for money, good sized portions and everything we had tasted amazing.

Happy to find this friendly comfy Vegan cafe. Had beetroot and quinoa burger with chips and coleslaw followed by strawberry cream cake (VEGAN cream) delicious. Service friendly and lovely atmosphere. Will be returning

We went for lunch at this lovely new cafe and had a really nice time. It’s a lovely big airy and bright space and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. There isn’t a huge range of food and drinks on the menu but I think that makes what they do do better. We shared the mezze platter for 2 which was a really generous portion-too much for us to finish, and a nice mix of different salads and dishes. It is a little bit out of the main saltaire village but I would definitely recommend taking the short walk there to enjoy a nice environment and lovely food.

The Dandelion Cafe has recently opened in Shipley in the Holding Space/Heather Yoga studio and is absolutely wonderful. I have thoroughly enjoyed both brunch and lunch here; the food is so tasty, the staff are lovely and the atmosphere is very relaxing. This cafe deserves to do well and I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to everyone I speak to.

The food here is absolutely stunning! Beautifully presented and never eaten vegan food quite like it (and I am not a vegan!). Interesting dishes and lots of choice. This cafe could really become a renown eatery. I recommend that any one passing his way to try it, they most certainly will not be disappointed!!!

I very much enjoyed the food at the Dandelion cafe. The cafe is opening in a week or so and I attended a taster session after a Sunday morning yoga class which was in the adjacent hall. They serve a vegan menu and the food is excellent. I enjoyed the Dhal which was full of flavour and they serve a mix of salads and humous which were really tasty. The deserts were to die for, in particular a layered desert they served with biscuit, coconut mousse and chocolate. The coffee was also some of the best I've had in a while! The atmosphere in the cafe is laid back and friendly. I'd highly recommend it and I imagine it will become a local gem. Maybe combine the trip with a heatheryoga class to enjoy a treat after a good workout!
