Damers Restaurant in West Dorset

Used to be lovely and food was great. Hate the new decor - bland and cheerless and food not as good as it used to be. Very sad.

This is a hospital cafe, serving very low priced food for staff & visitors. Lovely friendly staff and a good selection offering hot and cold food to eat in or take away. The hot drinks are not too bad either - there's a Costa downstairs for the connoisseur but I appreciated the prices here & found the coffee quite acceptable. Breakfast of 7 items (including coffee) for £4.90 was delicious although the fried eggs are better than the dubious scrambled ones. Excellent value too. The mains are what you might expect for a staff canteen but the prices are great.

Went in twice recently whilst visiting someone at the hospital and was not particularly impressed. Only had snacks and drinks so cannot comment on the cooked food, the hot drinks from a machine were okay and prices were reasonably but the staff did not look as if they were enjoying their job and it showed!!!

Insipid, insipid, insipid! That goes for the food, the staff and the decor. A typical hospital canteen in the worst possible way! If you shut your eyes and put the food into your mouth (which I wouldn't recommend-putting the food in your mouth I mean not shutting your eyes) you would not have a clue what you were eating!! I do not believe that seasoning has reached Dorset County Hospital Damers Restaurant yet and probably no hope of it arriving any time soon!

Limpio. El personal es amable. Buena selección. Un entorno agradable no me creo que un hospital. Precios para algunas cosas un poco caro pero otras cosas con buena relación calidad-precio. Así que elija. Pero la escuela dinerish veinteañeros. . . . Pero no vas a conseguir gourmet, pero lo que tuvimos fue muy bien. Me sentí, ya que estábamos visitando todos los días durante un tiempo era caro. . . Pero sirve para su propósito.

What more is there to add, the title says it all. Distinctly average food served by disinterested staff. Although £4.90 for fish and chips with mushy peas is pretty cheap. They could do better but then prices would have to increase I think.

This is an average hospital type restaraunt, reasonable variety of hot/ cold food. Usually clean and well presented. Ok if you like hospital food

After long journey to visit friend in hospital I was tired, thirsty and hungry. Went looking for WRVS cafe but there is only a vending machine and small sweet shop on the ground floor near the main entrance. However very nice lady told me I could use the restaurant upstairs which is open to visitors. Very large restaurant and as I had arrived just prior to afternoon visiting 2.30 there were only a couple of ambulance staff and a handful of other people there. Really impressed at the selection of food available. Eg soup, lasagne, fish pie, liver and more. Proper up of tea in a mug.
