Dalchini Spice in Central Bedfordshire

Lovely meal and experience as always at dalcini spice!! As a party of 6, we were well cared for and felt very comfortable in the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious.

We’ve ordered from here a few times and usually it’s delicious however this time the chicken was very dry, the rice was dry, the Dahl was very watery and the food just didn’t taste as good as it usually does!

Earliest delivery time was an hour, it came on time an hour later - the naan bread was stone cold and tasted really odd and the lamb jalfrezi was swimming in oil when it arrived. I stirred it up but it wasn’t the tastiest. The chicken tikka masala wa

meal I was inedible due to ordering it mild( offered at hot, medium or mild) it came so ridiculously spicy noone could eat it. I'm talking eyes watering, nose running, sweating after 1 bite. I dont know if they missed the spice level]8it, or was a mistake or if they deliberately ignored it as had some pre prepared at that level and couldn't be bothered to cook a whole new batch from fresh. but this was definitely not 'mild' by any stretch-it was a lamb biriani -a mild dish wherever u get it

Food was not to the usual quality, food was cold and the curry was very watery. Shame as normally the food is very good here

This has been a regular spot for me and my family for the last 15+ years! As well as me and my friend group! The food has always been brilliant, and the service is unmatched! From knowing my parents names and asking after my sister, to a Wine Spritzer on the house for my 18th, Dalchini has never disappointed and will continue to see my custom for as long as they stay open! Couldn't recommend more!

Spot on as usual! Take out or eat in...never had one reason to complain! Highly recommend! Try it and enjoy yourself! 😊👍

Meal was very tasty apart from the chicken in the curry was stringy and overcooked so unable to eat it.

Visited this restaurant as a group of four . Our order was taken quickly & we didn’t wait long for our food to arrive. Portions were good , food was tasty , for a Saturday night it was not busy . Would visit here again

This is the second time I have received the wrong curry. Today I ordered two chicken balti’s and I received one chicken balti and a chicken dansak.

Absolutely awful chips tasted like cardboard. Everything over spiced. Food was horrible last time but gave them another chance tonight and it was even worse. Used to be nice but not anymore. Won’t be ordering from here again

terrible food!! I was a weekly customer until my last order last week. the food has been going down hill for a while now. last order was terrible, all seemed pretty heated. rice was dry, chicken was hard and dry. GREAT WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS, SEND TERRIBLE FOOD AND LOSE CUSTOMERS 😑 🙄. WONDERING HOW LONG THIS RESTAURANT WILL BE OPEN!!

Delivery was scheduled for a reason, arriving early put us in a difficult position getting our toddler to bed. Food has been much better previously, was disappointed today unfortunately chicken was chewy and potatoes were overcooked

First time coming in after a recent takeaway - a great restaurant with good atmosphere, excellent service, and incredible food. We already knew the food was great from the takeaway, but it’s an even better experience to eat in!

Excellent food as always, this is the best Indian in the local areas, the whole family love it including the 4 fussy kids.

I ordered a chicken tikka masala was nice but some of the chicken was chewy.As for the delivery time was 30 minutes late.Which was disappointing

I ordered at 9:45 and they never delivered even after i called them and they said they would be there shortly! Shamefull

Would have been 5 star but the Garlic naan’s were disgusting, they didn’t taste of garlic just salt. The rest of the food was lovely. Chicken Momo’s were fantastic as always.

Very angry as the delivery driver was so busy looking at his phone he knocked my plant pot over and just left it laying on the ground

Onion bahji’s were re-heated old stock by the taste/texture. Rezala was far too sweet (have had before and was ok) this made my teeth itch. Cheese Naan had the cheese added as an after thought and was heated a second time. Totally disappointing this time.

Food was lukewarm and quality wise was very disappointed- I had the tandoori mixed grill which is my usual choice but this was one of the worst I’ve ever had. The lamb tikka was so tough it was inedible and the Sheek kabab was almost cold (and so dry). Sorry but won’t be ordering again.

First time ordering from here and not usually one to leave reviews but the prawn starter we ordered smelled rancid and ruined the whole meal so I would never be ordering from here again

Food arrived very late, and we had basically gone past eating. Called the restaurant and they said they were busy but they had not let us know in advance. Food was good though when it finally arrived.

One of the Curry completely missing, 1 naan bread missing and the 1 I recieved was wrong - phoned to be told I'd have to wait 40 minutes for the correct food to be delivered to me - so half my dinner is now cold, half isn't here and some is wrong - so disappointing!

Samosa was very grease could not eat them

The food was excellent! We ordered two chicken tikka masala and rice with garlic naans. Good decent sized portions with proper chunks of chicken. We will definitely be ordering again.

Waited over 2 and a half hours for delivery I appreciate that restaurants are busy this time of year, however there are no excuses for this amount of time for delivery. Rang the restaurant who were extremely unhelpful and refused to help as the order was placed through just eat and not direct through themselves.

Dry dry chicken and mushroom rice with no mushrooms yeh 10/10

The dansak I received I do not feel was a dansak. Unfortunately it was very watery with no spice and little flavour with no lentils when it is a lentil based curry. The chicken was very tough and quite dry. The tikka masala was also watery and flavourless.

Excellent food as usual a little on the cold side and we were missing a popadum. Not the end of the world..but it was missed.

There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke on all 3 of the mushroom rice's. Extremely off putting to eat

Very watery , chicken not horrific but dry

The food was bland and the chicken was incredibly dry, to the point where I couldn't eat it. Disappointed as have previously had good meals from here.

The peshwari naan was salty, the rice dry, and the rest of the dishes were not tasty.
