Seating a little tattie but that is more than made up for by the friendly staff and good food (large portions.) We were made to feel very welcome unlike the other place across the road which I am not going to mention but the staff were very rude AND ignorant. Well done Daisy!

Stopped for a light lunch and the food was delicious, well priced and freshly cooked quickly. On the main road through town, just behind the beach the cafe is easy to find and get to. The cakes are all home made and all looked deliciously moorish.

Unfriendly staff with basic food options. We (as 4 adults) had a cream tea each but they could not cater for our toddler as the ‘kitchen was shut’ so they couldn’t provide a sandwich. We then got spoken very rudely to (after we’d finished and they wanted us gone) as apparently it’s not acceptable to give our child something to eat we bought in from somewhere else.

From the outside, this place looks pleasant and a decent option to stop by for a cheeky fry-up... Once you're seated, the overall appearance internally backs up your first thoughts... However! Service is uber-slow as it seems the staff give preference service-wise to take away customers - we waited 15 mins before one of the two FOH staff came and acknowledged us/took our order! Another wait of 15mins for one 'Full English' and a microwaved chicken and mushroom pie later... I'm less than impressed! Now to remark upon the fayre itself... Full English? I'd say Half English! Absolutely tiny - served on a 10" x 5" rectangular plate with what i can only describe as 'kids' portions' of everything! Cheap sausage, value beans, small egg and fatty, undercooked bacon! AND!!!! The pie was served on it own! The only dressing/accompaniment on the plate was the metal tin it was processed/sold in!!!! They charged £5.95 for the Half English although the sum of the individual components probably cost no more than a quid! I won't even go into detail on the pie my friend 'enjoyed' as i'd be here all night... Even the ketchup and mayonnaise were the cheapest options you can possibly pick up at Tesco! Staff not rude (i think) as i'm unable to say for sure as they did not say a word other than 'what would you like?' at seating and 'that'll be £10.20 please' when i went to begrudgingly pay up afterwards... You live and you learn though - we won't be returning!!!! P.S. The chef is particularly strange - beware!!!! Would have given it a zero rating: a) if it was an option, and b) if the friend bread wasn't as good as it was... Still, if their fried bread is the best product they can offer, it's probably best you guys stay away!!! Yours disappointedly, KK

Really enjoyed the breakfast here, had many horrible ones locally leading up to finding this venue. I went for the small English breakfast, they put a lot of effort into this one...nice beans so not nasty tasting ones. Presented on a nice rectangular dish. Fresh tomatoes. Irish butter, good choice 😉Being Irish I would say that. The front window shows lots of delicious pastries & donuts. Highly recommend this place & pretty interior too.

Thought this looked like the ideal spot for us isle of wight newbies. Everyone we met on the island in shops and our hotel were lovely. So this was a real shame Went in and asked for a full English. And there was nothing that suited my partner so asked for mushroom on toast as they did mushrooms with breakfast and also did beans on toast, egg on toast . ... rude woman replied well it's not on the menu to which MY partner replied you do toast and you have mushrooms ..... she replied well I wouldnt know what to charge? Hardly trivial. So wanted to make a joke and said whatever you like and she sarcastically said ok 9.99! Attitude was so poor. She brought the pot of tea over and didnt asking we want sugar or sweetener. Then a man brought breakfast which was small a d the mushrooms on toast were on one piece of small toast and a out 5 mushrooms...toast smothered in butter which I didnt ask nor do I have...I'm sure with a polite person running this it could do much better

Nice little bakery that serves food inside the shop . Quiet a choice on the menu for a snack . Their pasties are really good when served hot. Always worth a visit.

Over priced food and average service. Queue for the toilets. It is considered as a major attraction on the island for families but I think its over rated. It relies on its reputation and the lack of better things to do on a rainy day. Shops are also expensive (the farm shop is nice but sweet shop is rubbish).

We use to go to this bakers a number of years ago for many many years when they were called Mapes. I have no idea why we stopped going. Went back last weekend and was very pleased and impressed with the value and quality Of the products. Went back today and was pleased again. Very nice Custard Tarts, great Bacon Baguette and nice coffee. Also best Pasties on the Isle of Wight. Excellent value, looking forward to going back next weekend. Keep up the good work.

We recently popped in to this little café and I feel that it has the potential to be really good but just doesn't flow well, the menu is vast and confusing its marketed as a bakery and café so when we ordered a egg roll and a sausage baguette we assumed we would get fresh bread, my husbands baguette was the type sold in convenience stores that needs heating up it wasn't at all nice looking and was a disappointment . The prices were reasonable , the staff were friendly however they weren't as efficient as they could of been and one poor lady serving looked totally out of her depth . The decor is tired and very basic . The concept of the place is good and with a little investment would be great

The interior is a bit rundown looking. The sandwiches were basic and uninspiring but at least they weren't expensive so I didn't feel ripped off. The cake we had after was delicious, and well priced. I would recommend the cakes here but not the sandwiches. The sandwiches and decor are two stars, the cake was four stars and so dragged the overall rating up to three stars. The price is fair for what you get.

We were looking for somewhere to have a cream tea and light snack, so glad we found this place. Food was lovely and prices were good value. I had the breakfast, my partner had a pasty followed by scone , cream & jam (she said the jam was wonderful) Our son had a sausage sandwich which he said was delicious. Great tea and coffee if you are looking for a place to have a light snack give this a try.

I popped in here for a quick coffee and cake, whilst waiting for my daughter. I doubt I will go in again. The staff to be fair are friendly, even though I had to wait a while, there were 2 staff I could see, but only 1 to serve. And only 1 other customer in front of me. The price was reasonale. I choose a a slice of "rich fruit cake". Sadly lacking. It had a strong taste of unmatured raw mixed spice. The cake was not rich but rather dry, and once past the taste of spice, rather bland and pale. The coffee was ok, not the best, not the worst. However the toilets were a let down. They are obviously cleaned, but look and smell unpleasent. The grout on the floor tiles look grimey, and they have a smell of, well, a toilet. They could do with an overhaul, or at least a very strong bleach/industrial floor cleaner.

This is a small cafe/bakery, either take away or eat in. They do a good range of pasties, pies, sarnies etc and not expensive at all. Its no frills but a good plate of food and no complaints.

If you're looking for a tasty pasty, look no further! This bakery makes some of the best I've tasted. Our favourite was the beef and vegetable. Really nice, traditional place, friendly staff, clean premises and very good value for money.

Very poor food only made worse by staff attitude. I ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches to takeaway. When I got home I was presented with 2 flat soggy sandwiches which looked quite unpleasant and made with thin shop bought bread. And not worth the £3.70 price tag for each. I returned to daisy's to ask for my money back and was greeted rudely and laughed at. I was told I should have asked if it was shop bought bread " in a bakery" and that I was wrong to think it wasn't worth £3.70. She even called her colleague to tell me I was wrong. I eventually got my money back after a failed attempt to give me money for one of the sandwiches. I was very disappointed by the sandwiches but not as much as the attitude of the staff. I have eaten there before and had food of a reasonable quality but I never expected the attitude I received today. Especially as I waited for her customers to leave the counter before I made a complaint. Ask for the quality of your purchase before you buy otherwise you may be treated rudely with passive aggression if the items are not up to a standard you may expect.

Quería algo de beber y unas tostadas. 75 p por porción de tostadas? Qué estafa! Teniendo en cuenta que se puede comprar un pan para eso. 19 rebanadas de pan por la media. Funciona harían £14,25! Miércoles noche volveremos.

I visited the island for my birthday and happened to call in to the tea rooms for an afternoon snack. I was impressed that in today's world there was a tea room that baked its own bread and hand made its own range of offerings. The service was polite and served with a smile, there was a wide range of food and special food for diabetics like myself. The premises was themed around the daisy flower, and the tables well spaced.I will certainly visit on my nex t trip.

Visited here for a breakfast, was a little disappointed, it was good value for what we were served, but the sausage was a cheap flavourless offering, there was also a lot of grease on the plate, staff were friendly and helpful and the wait was short,

My girlfriend and I popped in here on a whim whilst walking from Sandown pier to the bus stop, initially just for a look at what was on offer but we ended up walking out with two cakes and a baguette each! The baguettes were made to order in front of us. I can really recommend the filled doughnuts. Will definitely return if I am in Sandown again.

This cafe reminded me of the cafes I used to visit with my grandmother 30 years ago - classic cafe menu with sandwiches, baguettes and light meals as well as lots of home made cakes and biscuits to enjoy in the cafe and take away. We called in for breakfast bacon/sausage rolls and enjoyed what we ordered which was freshly prepared and of good quality. Great value too. Service was prompt, efficient and friendly. We originally wanted to visit the Fresh Coffee House(which was shut at 1030 in the morning!) but were glad we ended up here :-)

We had a free day and spent it in Sandown. The aroma from the bakery was very enticing and we went in. They have a great range of sandwiches, pies, pastries as well as soup jacket potatoes abd omelettes. We chose the omelettes which were hot and well served. We could not resist a slice of the home made cakes to finish off.

I use Daisy's for fresh bread and tasty doughnuts. The cafe is a typical seaside tearoom and conveniently situated at the Pier end of the High Street.Their hot pies and snacks are very tasty too.So for quick take away snacks or a sit down too they are good quality and value.

We had a super Sunday lunch here after strolling through the botanical gardens. the chef Michael Jackson (yes, really!) cooked a delicious roast beef for my husband & did a special sea bass for me. Very attentive service from friendly staff & really good wine by the glass in pleasant surroundings, with the sun streaming into the restaurant.

Despite all of the previous negative reviews we had a great time here. The staff were great, especially our server Alayna. She was efficient, kind and helpful. Our order was tasty, well cooked and arrived quickly. We had the fuit flavoured cider which arrived in bottles with chilled glasses, a nice touch. We would definately come again. many thanks to all of you.
