We popped in here for sausage rolls pasties and bread pudding on our holiday The best sausage rolls I've had for a long time and the lady who served me was so lovely

Had a good breakfast, lovely polite ladies in nice yellow aprons on the counter, the staff in the kitchen would of presented better if they also had the yellow apron, pasty’s and sandwich’s look great with lots of choices, I had the breakfast, it was ok, bacon was tasty I was not so keen on the sausage. But it was freshly cooked.

I stopped for lunch at Daisy's Bakery and Tea Rooms, it looked quite inviting and also I desperately needed to escape the torrential rain. I had a nice welcome when I arrived, there was a varied menu and everything was reasonably priced. The coffee was very good and the jacket potato was very filling, it set me up for the afternoon. A very nice cafe with friendly staff members, a short walk up the hill from Sandown Pier.

Thank you to everyone at Daisys for a lovely lunch, and respite from the rain during our day out in Sandown. We had a lovely Sausage and egg sandwich, fresh cooked on proper bread, my son had a lovely gingerbread man and we had lovely fresh coffee and my son a fruit juice. The staff were really chatty and pleasant and made us feel welcome and also gave us some colouring paper and pens for our eldest son. I would have no hesitation in recommending or visiting again!

I ordered a veggie breakfast, so was surprised to find it came with sausage and bacon. I was seated down the end, and the staff were busy on the other side of a pillar, so, thinking the mistake might have been mine, I ate it anyway. I'd finished it before I spoke to the counter lady as she passed by, and she said that yes, I'd ordered the veggie breakfast. So the mistake must've happened in the kitchen. Fortunately, I'm not a vegetarian but just like a veggie breakfast sometimes, so no harm was done. The breakfast was fine, and the eggs were done just right--a first on the island for me. This cafe has a small frontage but goes back fairly deep, with plenty of space. The decor is a bright combo of egg yellow and white, which is quite attractive.

Always visit this clean tea room whenever we visit the island for lunch. Helpful staff, good selection of food freshly prepared, great milkshakes and fresh cream cakes that are the best. Good easy access into premises with good walking space between tables. We always visit even if we have to walk along the beach from Shanklin, it is worth it, we have found (during winter months) when others close up these premises are OPEN thankfully! Great work, keep it up.

We always come here for breakfast the day we arrive on the island and the day we leave. The full English breakfast is lovely and just the job and also very reasonably priced. Their bacon is delicious! My son had a ham and cheese toasted sandwich and ate it in no time at all, saying he could’ve easily eaten another. The lady behind the counter was lovely and we had a nice little chat. It’s nice that she remembers us and noticed that one of us was actually missing this time round. Will definitely be back next year.

Food was fine but the woman working behind the counter was awful. She avoided me for an unnecessary amount of time as I can in, even though I was the only customer at the counter. She didn't greet me at all, and had a deadpan face the entire time as I ordered. She was not helpful, and I had to ask loads of questions as to where to get the tea and food I'd ordered as I'd not been there before. Every time I asked a question she looked very inconvenienced. A few minutes later, a chap walks through the door and she was over the moon helping him with his order, did everything right quick and was cheery as ever.

Have just visited here for a bite to eat and a drink, we asked if rather than paying straight away we could pay at the end as we were going to buy some pastries to take home with us. That was a flat out no! We ordered and paid for our food which came in a timely manor, I had a jacket potato with tuna mayo and my partner a bacon and egg baguette, when my jacket came with its small amount of tuna on it I asked if I could have some butter... there is already some on there was the response, I said I would still like another and she said fine but I’ll have to charge you do you know how much they cost me!!! If you can’t cost your menu properly that if a customers wants a an extra butter portion with there baked potato that is not the customers fault!!!

Ordered fish and chips , yuk! The fish was greasy and was obviously not a fillet just not sure what it was smelt fishy though. The chips were assorted. Some cooked , some cold The Prawn sandwich was also pretty gruesome too much margarine or cheap spread on the bread. Kids burger and chips seemed to be palatable for 2 of my grandchildren. Shame about the food because the serving staff are personable, friendly and accommodating.

We went in here on the last morning of our holidays to have a full english breakfast. Absolutely delicious and well worth the money. My son opted for a bacon sandwich which he said was the best he'd tasted. Service was excellent. OK, we did have to wait for a bit but that was because everything was freshly cooked so we didn't mind.

My friends & I had drinks and cake.My coffee cake was dry and inedible, either stale or badly made. I took it back to the counter and politely explained it wasn't quite right. I was told it was because it was cold (how I usually expect cake to be) but could be heated in the microwave. Having turned that option down I was then met with a surly stare, no offer of another cake or a refund. At this point I wasn't interested in pursuing it and said I would leave it. Quite the most atrocious customer service I've received in years,Sandown has lots of cafés and eateries I suggest using one of those if visiting.

I have never been anywhere so un-inviting and unfriendly. The staff were rude, unhelpful and it was clearly far too much of a bother to actually be expected to serve anyone! My husband asked for a tuna melt and was told it was not possible in case the cheese caught fire!At this point we should have walked out and found a much more friendly and hospitable tearoom, but we ordered something more simple than a tuna melt and stayed...Definitely wish we hadn't bothered. I would not go back here again, and would certainly not recommend it either.Dreadful experience.

As i'm local to sandown. I use the local cafe's and restaurants quite a lot and unlike the last "cruel" reviews I can give an accurate and fair review.Unlike most places, Daisy's Bakery is a family run friendly restaurant where the food is cooked to order with a smile. The cakes are made early each morning (staff are in at 5:30am baking for the day) and They have their own independently awarded cake line (Little Goddess Cakes - Fructose made diabetic friendly cakes). They have also been awarded for their Doughnuts. (a new special flavour each month!)Their hot food is well made and presented to order .. They serve sauces in individual containers rather than sachets.Their regular customers include people with learning disabilities and young children (they have have highchairs on request) And their takeaway cakes and pasty selection and sandwiches on request are well made and tasty and good value for money. They are very accommodating and have a very good level of customer service.

Visited over the school half term with my wife and two kids stopped for a late lunch/bite to see us through to dinner. As the previous reviewer has said: the cakes and the cream teas don't come with 'proper cream'; and the choice is a little thin on the ground (might be that it was late in the day). Moreover, the staff, while being just about accomodating enough, look disinterested and, well, bored. Not that I want them to jump through hoops, but a little human touch goes a long way. In short, should be a little gold mine, wouldn't rush to go back.

We called at Daisy's Bakery in Sandown and I had their cream tea. The cream was not clotted, I asked what the cream was they said double cream, the jam was not much better, the scone was alright. The cream tea was not expensive.Opposite this shop I noticed they were doing "clotted cream teas" for the same price, so I assumed mine would be.I purchased a cream slice to take away at £1.45...........expensive - and not that good. In fairness my husband had a coffee and a slice of cake which he enjoyed......I have given this two dots I did think of one, because the scone was alright.

We enjoyed a visit to the botanical gardens & decided to stop in to their cafe /restaurant for a bite to eat I must say that the views were stunning looking out onto the gardens , we were lucky enough to get a table on the veranda where a local choir were singing & it made our day The food menu is quite limited but there were a nice selection of cakes available & lots of unusual teas too The food we did order was delicious .. but they were small portions for the price ( I must admit it was one our most expensive eats while on the isle of wight!) All in all a great setting to enjoy a cup of tea & drink but maybe wouldn’t go back for food

Fantastic! Welcomed in with a friendly smile, the ladies were lovely at all times. Hot drinks all tasty, served with a cute little biscuit on the side. I had the steak burger, which came in a toasty hot bun, with proper grated cheese on top & between the two burgers that melted beautifully. This was served with chips & salad. It all tasted so good. Highly recommend, we'll be back soon :-)
