If there were 10 stars, I would have chosen them. 👏 Terrific food, wonderful service, made our birthday treat unforgettable. Thank you to you all. 100% recommendable by us. Dorado was absolutely delicious, and my seafood platter was unforgettable.

What an absolute gem of a place. Welcoming, friendly and just the best food. We found this place by chance online when looking for somewhere to eat. On arrival the staff were so friendly and throughout our meal they were so professional, attending to our every need. Also so friendly making you feel special. It was my birthday, which they did not know until we were chatting between courses. At the end of the evening they presented me with a dessert with a candle and an accompanying shot, with 'happy birthday' piped on the plate. The food overall was absolutely delicious with an extensive menu to tempt all tastes. We will definitely frequent again. A must go to, 1st class.....

The only thing which wasn't amazing about our meal here was that this excellent restaurant deserved to be busier. The food was full of flavour and perfectly cooked. My tastebuds were coming alive even as I ate the bruschetta which was tasty and perfectly crisp (not crunchy) on the outside and soft on the inside. The staff were very attentive and it was lovely to chat to the owner too. If you're looking for somewhere to eat, this is the place. Update. Went again. Same great food and service. And nothing to do with this restuarant, but made me smile. I began speed reading, and just last night I read “The Da Vinci Code” in fifteen minutes. I know it’s only 4 words, but it’s a start. How I Mark I may mark differently to some other reviewers, some might see this as harsh, others may see it as fair. But here's how I look at it: 5 star - WOW. I want to go back and look forward to doing so. They delivered everything expected and more. The 'more' is normally about the service or attitude of the staff. 4 star - GOOD. They delivered everything I wanted and a bit more. I recommend them and would go back. 3 star - OK. They delivered what I expected, I would go back if I needed to, although don't currently plan on doing so. 2 star - Not very good. I didn't get what I expected and the service wasn't good. I don't recommend this place. I might get dragged back here, although will always try to avoid it 1 star - This was rubbish. Don't go there, I certainly won't go there again. I didn't get what I wanted, the people were unhelpful and I didn't enjoy it in any way.

The restaurant is top of my best list of restaurant where I was! Fantastic food.. At last a restaurant you don't need to season your food, because it's perfectly seasoned.. The interior of the restaurant is very modern and looks great.. The staff were friendly and very helpful. But I would recommend giving them a call prior just in case and to reserve.. The price of the food was perfect considering the quality.

Nice place, friendly service, however the food is the real star of the show. Ordered fish stew and the fillet steak, both are out of this world. One of the top places, highly recommended.

The restaurant has a beautiful ambience. The staff were friendly. The food was delicious, however on the high side, it was absolutely worth it, and the portions were brilliant. I loved how I felt special when I told a staff it was birthday. I indeed had a lovely experience 😊. HIGHLY RECOMMEND 😊 ☺️

Attentive waitress who was always there when you needed anything, lots of choices for food and had a good mother's day meal which got the mum seal of approval. Deffo should be busier than it is!

Superb meal out, had never been and was eager to try so glad we did. Tuna steak served on the rocks was sublime.. staff attentive and served us very well. Convenient parking outside on the road. 10/10 highly reccomend.

Jon Woodhouse My girlfriend, Lesia and I couldn't celebrate Valentines Day on the 14th, so we booked for last night, instead. To say that we were extremely impressed is an understatement! We ordered the seafood platter, which we shared - it was so large, there's no way we could have had one each! As it was, we had to ask for a "doggy bag" to take home what we couldn't manage! (We've eaten the leftovers today and it was just as tasty as last night). The atmosphere in the restaurant was really nice, the staff extremely pleasant and attentive and the prices more than reasonable. We'll definitely be coming again!

Amazing Italian seafood we had in this place. Lovely decoration with lovelier people who served us. Large portion. Great taste. Definitely one of the best restaurants in the IoW.

I have enjoyed several meals at Di Vincis, small groups, large groups, intimate meals and every time it's been excellent..I enjoyed the haddock risotto twice in a row as it was so tasty, but this time I decided to test how the chef manages a lamb shank. The option was with roast potatoes but I asked for mash as rightly I thought I would need to soak up the gravy. The mixed vegetables were perfectly cooked and the lamb quite literally fell off the bone. It was perfect. My friends enjoyed their pizza and a pasta dishes equally and we were discretely but well looked after by the waitress who seemed to manage all the tables effortlessly. I would highly recommend Da Vincis, warm, comfortable chairs, good space between tables and a nice quiet space to enjoy lengthy conversation.

Fantastic food, presentation and service , highly recommend.

First time we tried, we had some vouchers for Xmas. We had a lovely night we both tried seafood dishes they were delicious. We had lobster & prawn with mussels tagliatelle and a sea bass dish. The owner and team were friendly and attentive.We were very impressed with the quality of the food and will definitely be going again 😁

Me and my boyfriend had a table booked for 7.30 but we arrived early and they seated us quickly. My boyfriend had the iow fillet steak and I had the lobster/prawn tagliatelle, portion sizes were really good, food tasted amazing and staffs customer service was spot on. Highly recommend and looking forward to revisiting.

Brilliant birthday meal here! The food was incredible and cooked to perfection! As well as this got a complimentary cheese cake as it was my birthday. This place was like being back in Italy with how good this food was! The service was brilliant as well members of staff very friendly 10/10

From entering the restaurant, everything was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and polite and checked on throughout the meal. The food was excellent. The brushetta starter was full of flavour and presented well with a sensible size portion. The Kleftico was beautiful, the lamb just fell apart, and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. The only criticism I could make is that there was too much lamb (time i started to leave a little) If you are after a quality meal for a fair price, I 100% recommend.

Absolutely fabulous restaurant......superb food, wonderful service, and an amazing host! My first visit here......but definitely won't be my last! Can't wait to go back

So yummy! We had the veggie options and shared pizza, pasta and salad and found the food to be top notch!

The food was simply outstanding in both taste and presentation with very generous portion sizes too. Seafood Spaghetti the standout and a fitting Tiramisu finale. A thoroughly enjoyable evening and highly recommended.

Superb! This place is amazing and i will be back soon with friends to show them how good this place is. The food is cooked to perfection and everything tastes unique. Don't be fooled by the prices because I'm sure that once you taste the food you will be amazed and worth every penny and the portions are huge. None of us managed to eat everything and that says a lot. I will bring my group over from the mainland to have a meal in there. Well done guys! Horacio Moderno

What a fantastic restaurant! Staff could not do enough for us they were so friendly. Food was outstanding, portions were large and the quality of ingredients were amazing. We ended up eating their twice in our 1 week break to the IOW. We will definitely be returning. Would highly recommend this restaurant, it was the best meal out we had!

Titanium was to die for. Added bonus the limincello liquor. Staff absolutely delightful 👌

Really enjoyed our meals. Was only us in the restaurant, but was a great experience. Only downfall was that it was slightly chilly in the restaurant , and there could've been more comfortable seating like booths ect. Not a big issue though and fully recommend.

The food was sooo good. I would definitely recommend. The ambiance was really lovely, perfect for dates and group dinners. The service was prompt and friendly. I had the fish stew and seriously, the food was amazing!

We were early on a Sunday as a family of 6 with two young children. The food was outstanding and the portions very generous. All the staff were very pleasant and attentive. It wasn’t busy when we first arrived however it was when we left. Would highly recommend!

Great food, service, portions were big

We really liked the place, open until 11pm. There was no problem arriving without a reservation, the staff is very friendly and the music is Italian. The food seemed salty to me. However, the portion is very good and in relation to the price.

We arrived after 10, it was cold and we were starving. Even though we were late the staff were friendly and fabulous. The chef stayed and made us a delicious meal. We’ve eaten @ Da Vinci before and been impressed with food and service. Highly recommend. 😍

Very Good food and service, one of the top restaurants we found on the Isle of Wight

We had a meal there Thursday evening. I had paella which wasnt great as the seafood particularly prawns were rubbery and over cooked, but what really should have set a red flag to me but sadly didnt were the mussels. It was strange at the time as half of them were boiling hot and half were stone cold. I stupidly ate them. Literally 3 hours later I had violent stomach ache, the runs and being sick which has carried on until today saturday. I have been there several times in the past but getting a dose of food poisoning because of the way the food was cooked and delivered has definitely made sure I unfortunately won't be there again :(

the atmosphere of da vinci really is beautiful, but the food is simply pretty disappointing. me and my partner came here for a date, my starter was parma ham which was beautifully done and i had no complaints about that whatsoever, however the main (i have regrettably forgotten the name of it) was very disappointing, especially for the price. it was cold in the middle as if it had been microwaved, and from where we were sat we had view into the kitchen which was quite offputting. if it hadn't have been for the fact that a tip is mandatory here, i would not have tipped.

I've been here multiple times the food is awesome ,our lovely waitress was attentive and freindly and the wine list is comprehensive. All very good in my opinion.

I had the day special it was a seafood plater it had 3 types of fish,2 types of prawns and lots of shall and I had a mushroom risotto it was nice but the seafood was way better and I also had a Margarita pizza it was nicer than most of other pizza I tried. It also had some nice Italian music

I hesitated to walk in at 5.30 for dinner because it was empty, but was lured by the Italian music, tidy look, and smiley waitress. Ordered Salmon and Prawns in creamy sauce - AMAZING. As in, London and New York standard. Don't hesitate.

The atmosphere was nice, even though you might feel a bit closer to the other tables. The staff was polite and quick to respond. The food was good, but nothing special compared to the price. I would say it is a bit overpriced for what you get. Overall, a good experience.

Fabulous Place . Should be 10 stars , this place should be packed day and night . Sadly Newport is in decline , many shops empty . Had wonderful stone steak and Lamb shank . Beats other top restaurants and we’ve been to many .

This is the 4th time ordering and my pizzas have always been cold my garlic bread and chips were cold this time I also ordered a cheesecake that tasted like absolutely nothing

I’ve eaten here on a few occasions. The food is ok, not out of this world, but I return because I like service from staff and the atmosphere is nice. The only downside to the experience is that 10% service charge is unable to be taken off. (The owner/manager) has refused on both occasions I’ve asked. Usually I don’t mind paying a service charge but on this occasion I just happened to ask if it goes to the waiting/kitchen staff. The answer is no, it doesn’t. I was informed I could leave an additional tip on top if I wished to thank them for their service. Our meal cost £160 for 2 including the service charge so I didn’t feel inclined to leave more money. I agree with a service charge for large groups but fewer than 6 feel it should be discretionary. I just feel that customers should be aware that the service charge does not go to the staff. And the staff, especially Callum, are fab and work so hard.

How do I start food was amazing staff are super funny and charismatic really made our experience here truly amazing. I would recommend the tiramisu my piece could honestly of fed a family of 4. I’m not complaining.

The best meal I had on the island during this trip the scallops were a good size and the portion of stuffed Belly pork good. It would have been better to open the wine at the table.

We popped in for an early evening meal, whilst on holiday on the island, without booking, and we were made very welcome. The staff were very obliging and helpful and the food was delicious. The scallops starter just melted in the mouth! The entire meal (3 courses) was tasty and very well presented. Will definitely return .

Their pasta, best in Portsmouth. Other high rated pasta in Portsmouth is all below Da Vinci. No one in Portsmouth can beat Da Vinci for the pasta.

Low grade, high volume generic Italian. Plenty of salt and mot much flavour. Kitchens don't seem to know the difference between spaghetti and linguine.

I had only ordered a risotto and was very pleased in the way it had slid down my throat, it brought me back to my teenage years, the sensations I had felt were beyond immaculate, the presentation was far beyond any restaurant in the world . I will definitely be visiting again 💋🧓

Am not sure I have words to explain this feeling. The food was wow. The price was a bit on the high side but it was worth it. Each bite was WOW. Went with family and the environment and service was very good. The waiter explained the food we didn't know what it was about and was patient with us. The drink menu had a lot of options to it. Food one: Fresh linguine frutti di mare Drink: Cocktail pina colada Food two: Fresh spaghetti Funghi Other food we had were; Pollo involtine Spaghetti cabanas Spaghetti bolognese

And he was absolutely correct.. The interior of the restaurant is very modern and looks great.. The staff were friendly and helpful. We just showed up (it's our honeymoon) and we where seated straight away.. But I would recommend to give them a call prior just in case and to reserve..
