D Grande in Hounslow

The most delicious thing in this restaurant is the staff 😍... and the food is excellent too. As an American living in London I haven't had a proper taste of home until now. Everything I've ordered was fantastic (the queso, chilli + brisket tacos are my favorite), wonderful service and full bar. It's a can't miss for proper Tex Mex.

Wanted to try D Grande for ages having tasted true Tex Mex in Austin on holiday. I was skeptical but some American friends had said how good it was and urged us to join them. Very glad we did. We started with chips & queso which were tasty and very moreish... These were washed down with frozen margaritas which although a little pricey were delicious. For my main I had the steak burrito and others had chicken quesadillas - all were superb. No need for pud this time but we will be back. A nice relaxed delicious meal and so lucky to have a great tex mex restaurant on our doorstep.

From a fellow Texan, best tex mex in London. Get the loaded queso and ask for tortillas to make a taco with it. Wish they did breakfast tacos!! Will be coming back often.

My wife and myself - together with my brother and our niece who was visiting from California - had lunch earlier today at D Grande on Chiswick High Street. We arrived slightly early for our 1400 hours booking and were fortunate (the relatively small property was almost full) to find a vacated table in the corner to wait before our reserved Table was ready. We moved to the latter at 1400 hours and our drinks and food orders were promptly taken. Indeed service throughout our stay was first rate. The food (both our starters and mains) was also excellent and my only negative comment was that the drinks prices were very high (ie £6.49 and £10.99 for small bottles of beer and standard Margaritas)! That aside, it was a most enjoyable lunch and - particularly as I only drink water- one I should gladly repeat.

Real Tex Mex, fresh and delicious! Order the queso to start. Come at happy hour and the margaritas are half price. Them a choice of fajitas, burritos or enchiladas. All great and nice veggie options .

A little gem in the heart of Chiswick. The host and staff were so welcoming and friendly, we felt at home from the moment we walked in. (Amazing service) We started with spicey picante margaritas, which were some of the best we'd ever tasted. Followed by homemade chips and Guac, slow-cooked brisket and jackfruit tacos, which were also delicious (definitely try the queso dip!). Overall, we would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a good quality Tex-Mex. Affordable and very filling! Thanks for a great night; we will be back for the extra-spicy marg! Miles and Anna.

Three friends and I dined here at the weekend, this being my first time. Venue is pleasant and vibrant. Service is attentive. Drinks very nice (but I didn’t get the buzz I expect from alcoholic cocktail - suspicious). The accompanying cheese dip with tortilla chips was moreish. My main dish was disgraceful. The chicken in my chicken quesadilla had flown the coop, leaving a soggy, cheesy, undersized, under-spiced, insipid lump. For £14!!! Terrible dish at a rip-off price. I refrained from complaining to avoid souring my friend’s birthday outing but I will never return. The venue is clearly popular, inexplicably so based on my experience; worst restaurant food that I have endured in ages.

Cercavo con un collega un posto per cena e siamo passati da questo messicano, abbastanza piccolino, ma con spazi anche all'esterno. Non faceva così freddo per cui abbiamo cenato fuori. La mia scelta è stata per una fajitas di pollo (22.99£) che includeva anche tortillas e contorni vari. Non sono un gran amante del messicano, ma non era male. C'è una buona scelta e si può ordinare (e pagare) direttamente dal telefono.

Quite possibly one of the best restaurants experiences I’ve had to date. Been meaning to tick this off the list as a fellow local business and was blown away to say the least, a party in the mouth almost felt like I was at a Cinqo De Mayo party in the middle of October. The Loaded Queso was incredible along with the Chicken Taquitos were to die for. With the brisket tacos for main being possibly one of the best things I’ve ever consumed. Don’t overlook this place a local small business with a great passion for food and this shines through. With amazing staff such as Joe, Martina and the rest of the fabulous staff with a massive shout to the incredible kitchen team as well for the sensational food. Couldn’t recommend anymore if I tried. Will be back…. Maybe even tomorrow

Walked 2 miles for “the best tex me” in London .. Was excited to see frozen margaritas - not So excited by the £12 price . Still tasty . We had the queso tortillas and were blown away - it was so tasty and indulgent . Any way that’s why it’s got 2 stars. The mains - enchiladas and a quesadilla were totally flavourless - TOTALLY . Furthermore , we found bones in the enchiladas. My bf wouldn’t let me complain however I wish I did send it back ! For the cost not worth it , such a shame ! Super over priced and lacklustre .

Service here was great. Restaurant was clean. Food was way too salty / processed, and lacked the freshness to be expected of tex-Mexican (eg, some basic fresh tomato/ salsa, onions, herbs). Tropical Marguerita was 12 quid and was totally loveless and overpriced, coming in a basic tumbler with no garnish or real care. I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately didn’t. Maybe we just ordered the wrong items from the menu…

I had dinner with my work colleagues, and I really think we felt special together with the rest of the guests. It is very difficult to see in the world of hospitality that someone looks after you and looks after you when you are eating. If you are from London and have some time, I recommend you go there because you will leave rejuvenated.

Have been going to the Chiswick de Grande for a couple of years now. The food is not only fabulous but it's consistently fabulous. One of the main reason we go there is the amazing and genuinely personal and friendly service we get from Paco. He remembers what you ask him and does his very best to ensure you have what you need and makes you feel welcomed, that is a rare thing to see these days, someone who genuinely and consistently cares about his guests. Thank you so much Paco hospitality and also the rest of the gang. Thank you for the fully salted Margarita rim! ;-)

Brentford Docks/Catherine Wheel Road - We ended up coming across this place down on Brentford Docks completely by accident, and it was the best surprise we've had in a long time! We just went to see if we could get a nice drink here and turns out everything about it is brilliant. Ollie was an absolute pleasure, he looked after us so well, he was kind and informative, helping us pick drinks to our preferred tastes and recommending some great food to us (That Queso dip is dangerously addictive - be warned!!) Honestly Ollie and the team made our Sunday evening and we can't wait for future visits. Best thing to open in the area in a long time, thank you so much!

As natives of Texas, USA we had high hopes for D Grande. We were not disappointed. Our first time dinner was so good we came back the next week and it equally as delicious and authentic. Now, if they could just source some genuine green chili ….

Food was fairly bland for a texmex. Half of my wife's order was forgotten, waitress initially looked blank as if that was ok. Only good thing was the manageress who was helpful.

My wife is Texan. For the last 35 years, we have been looking for decent Tex-Mex food in London with little success. We have now found it. I had the steak quesadilla and she the beef tacos. Really very good. Very friendly service. Reasonable prices. We will be back.

I’m from Texas, this is not Mexican food - it’s Tex Mex - and it’s done right. The flavors were there and it certainly reminded me the Tex Mex food from home. I usually won’t eat Tex Mex or Mexican anywhere other than Texas as it’s typically a disaster. Glad i tried this place! The staff was also very friendly and attentive.

Well how should I start was recommended by friends to go. So we did shame wasn’t as good as we expected and hopped. Should have known as when arrived and was told we could only had a selection on 3 tables even though the place was empty. Anyway we took a seat and was given the menu to look over looked very nice and good selection of food. Only concern found the drinks were little overpriced. (didn’t need to worry) anyway we ordered a few drinks and food. As we got the drinks we sat waiting and having chat. The place then started to get a little busier the concern then was these people could seem to sit anywhere they wanted. Maybe it was just that there was the two of us. We then got worried after people seated after us started to get there starter’s then their mains. At this point we got worried and thought the food looks nice and wood like to get. It wasn’t till most of the people had been served and I did notice one of the team have a look and then about 5 mins later came back and informed us that there had been an issue and the order didn’t appear in the kitchen but they would do the food now. At this point I did inform them as we seemed to have been forgotten about we best just go and find somewhere better to eat that cared about the customer and informed the server we would pay for the drinks and go as we had been waiting for over an hour. At this time we were told the drinks were free. So we left and went for a pizza instead.

Really amazing Queso!! As two Americans living in the U.K. we’ve struggled to find authentic queso. This restaurant really hit the mark and their margaritas were delicious. Highly recommend!

Avoid fish tacos. Tiny pieces of unknown fish with red cabbage (suppose to be pink onions) and lime flavoured mayo. Enough fish for one taco. Burritos we’re just average. Tasteless sides. No better than the average Mexican chain food outlets.

This is a tremendous recent addition to Chiswick. Both times we ate there, and when we had takeaway delivered, the food was impeccable. Everything was delicious, the smoky street corn, the shrimp ceviche and (for my vegetarian wife) the spinach and mushroom quesadillas particularly outstanding....
