Curry Queen in Basingstoke and Deane

First Indian curry in Basingstoke. Disappointed, I had lamb madras and it was rubbish, firstly it had tikka lamb with bits of the sewer still in the lamb , big chew on the murdered lamb , sauce was like water , arrived cold with rice that was iffy as far as rice goes. Nann bread was Tesco at best . Really this was pretty dump 😲.yip DUMP. only thing close to being Indian was the 6th generation Indian guy that delivered it. I could have done better putting the 20 quid on a one legged horse to win the national. Anyway try somewhere else.😔

Tried Curry Queen tonight for the first time. The app is really clear and easy to use and made ordering my food very easy. My chicken pathia had a layer of grease on top but tasted fantastic. My chicken vindaloo was also very tasty, as was the Bombay aloo. Keema naan was first rate and the onion bhajis were huge and very tasty. As a curry lover who's been eating from Indian restaurants for 38 years, I can safely recommend Curry Queen as a very good restaurant.

Disappointing - we’ve used Curry Queen for many, many years and have usually been delighted. The food didn’t seem piping hot when I got it home (only a mile by car) and the prawn Kashmiri was very watery. Tandoori mixed grill all jam-packed into a plastic container and a bit dry with undercooked onions. Keema naan rather tasteless; but good coconut rice and onion bhaji. Only 2 good dishes out of 5 hence the rating.

Excellent delivery service. Interesting menu. Food is always great and arrives hot. The only downside is the curry portion sizes do seem to be getting smaller, or have less meat in than a few years ago. I would personally prefer the price go up a little and get the old amount rather than this cost cut.

NEVER had a bad meal from here. The lads are helpful and friendly and that goes for the delivery drivers too. I recommended to a friend who was new to the area and she won't go anywhere else either. Portions are great and nothing ever tastes like it's been sat about forever. Keep up the great work, you're an asset to the community

Consistently good throughout the last few months. Had a party on Saturday and ordered a large takeaway. Everyone was impressed with the freshness of the food.

Good food finally. Got the wrong ordered delivered first and not very good service to resolve initially. They prepared a new order after our insistence that then came quite quickly.

I had this and am truly hurt now. Nowhere could I see that this was slaughtered animals until days after. Personally not what I would normally go for, gonna be mcdonald’s tonight.

Used these for a while and food is excellent

Having not had a curry from this place in over a year, I went to see friends and finally got my fave dish. They gave me a cost of over £11 but when I arrived they added 10% discount for collection which was a nice experience. Food was good as always

Just had a curry delivered from here and that was by far the worst curry I've ever had. The sauce was so thin it was delivered in a plastic container, the sauce was a liquid that you could drink, similar consistency of a tomato soup. Mango Lassi's are thicker and much harder to drink that what I was served as a curry. Absolutely disgusting. Called the restaurant to complain, was informed that I was lying. Will never ever use this restaurant again, shocking food and just as bad service.

Extremely rude!! Very bad customer service. We initially ordered curry and a drink but we realised later on the drink was missing so we contacted the restaurant to inform them.I was expecting an apology but instead they were very rude and didn't admit it was their mistake. The driver came back with a small bottle of Pepsi and charged us £3.25😲. I was absolutely fuming as we had spent over £70. I called the restaurant to find out why we were asked to pay for the drink as we had already paid for it when we initially placed the order and had the receipt to confirm it but the person on the phone wasn't interested and asked us to pay fir the drink or to return it. We returned the bottle and decided to never order from them again.

We placed a big order at this resturant the customer service and food was absolutely terrible. It was are first and last order, we will never go back again I recommend to avoid this place at all cost We will be reporting this place to trading standards.

We have been using the curry queen for a few months now since our previous curry house put brussel sprouts in my vegetable curry 😔 . Every meal has been exceptional ! Would highly recommend.

Have been eating here for a few years now, living locally is always a bonus too. Never had a bad meal. I messed up our order once and they sorted it out within a VERY quick time. Always a polite drive when delivering, which is never a long wait . We usually collect and again, always very polite.

Never had a bad takeaway from here. Food is tasty, hot and delivered by a friendly driver. They offer nice little discounts for online orders and regulars (even if the percentages off are mathematically incorrect lol).

Always ordered with no problem. But unfortunately tonight after not ordering for a few months makes me wonder if the chef is new as very disappointed with my meal . Poppodoms were stale Chicken korma was like water with no taste . Shame as always been nice in the past .

We had a takeaway prawn purei wife shami kebabb me both excellent. Main meal dupiaza rice keena nan bombay pots. The wife shared and had a korma.. Delivered quick. Nice staff. All was hot . Salad included. Best Indian in rg. I'm impressed. Glad to report 5 out of 5 .

Best Indian Takeaway in Basingstoke! Great taste and very reasonably priced. Used to live in Basingstoke but moved to Tadley and still drive to Basingstoke to get my takeaway from here!

I recently moved to the area and was hesitant to check this place out as it doesn't look like it's going to be anything special from the outside. I was SO wrong. I have had a lot of takeaway curries in my time and this might be one of the best. Onion bhajies were absolutely stunning, rice was cooked to perfection, deliciously meaty keema naan and pathia was a stunner! I need to figure out how to post a photo because this place is a hidden gem!

Fantastic takeaway curry twice in the last three days, chicken tikka was lovely and king prawn bhuna one of the best i've had. Will definitely be using again.

Ordered a curry for collection on Friday night. When I arrived 20mins later it was ready to go. The staff where nice and friendly. Got home and it was still hot. All the food was delicious, nice spicing. Naan bread was good too. I will be using them again

We have been regulars for a long time ordering food and generally being happy but recently including tonight we have ordered and the food has arrived 40 minutes !!! Later that the delivery slot.... and that was an hour after ordering in the first place... will not be returning customers

Not only did the food not arrive for an hour, when I called up twice to check where it was, I was told that it would be a further 10 minutes. This is the second time an order from this second rate establishment has left me hungry and having to source an alternative almost 2 hours after the original point of ordering Terrible service and I cannot advise strongly enough to give this curry "queen" a wide birth

I use hungry house to order from here. Quick delivery and my favourite Indian takeaway in Basingstoke. Appreciate a few bad reviews here but, never had an issue.

If I could give no stars i would!!!! Food was stone cold when it arrived 20 minutes late. Onion bhaji were dripping with oil, actually had a pool of it on my plate. When i phoned to complain the manager was very argumentative & actually became aggressive over the phone & refused to give a refund. Disgusting food & customer service.

Actuly deserves no star! Rude staff ovwr the phone and refuse to do anything to rectify a cold order and wont refund! They are rude and do not car at all. We used to order many times from here and won't ever again! Appauling service and not even a sorry.

Used to buy takeaways from curry queen but they have gone downhill the quality has gone downhill I would avoid until they can improve the quality of their food

If you like cold curry this is the place for you.... order was half an hour late, the main dishes turned up in plastic containers so were cold. Ordered rice, this didn't turn up, when i phoned about the issues they offered to send a plain rice out, to compensate, and I was told it would be half an hour Iwas also told thry couldn't refund as it wad ordered through just eat, offered the cold meals free next time, such a bad meal would rather go without! Clearly dont want to keep their customers happy AVOID!
