Curry Leaf Hove in Brighton and Hove

The food arrived 1hr and 30mins early, I asked the driver to return the food and cancel my order, the shop called to say the food would be cooked from fresh and sent at the correct time, it arrived 15mins early again. The curry was cold to luke warm and the rice was cold, the naan bread was soggy as if it had been warmed in the microwave. We order from there regularly until tonight, we had dreadful food and was lied to.

Was hoping for at least a decent curry!!! Never used this place before but looking at the dishes on the menu thought we’d give them a go. I believe in an honest review but also am aware how damaging it can be.. Look the food was dire, overcooked with no taste really at all. I hope they have a justification for the standard of the food we got because otherwise this place is really bad. It tasted like the food was reheated and done a few times at that. I wish this place all the best but on the standard of food we got I won’t be returning.

Tasteless burnt food, I wanted this to be nice but it really wasn’t,the food was reheated pretty rubbish.

I had their banquet night special yesterday & it was absolutely amazing & delicious & fantastic value!

Naan-bread: Tasteless and weird. Rice: Dry & cold Tikka Masala: Very greasy, barely tasted anything, the little taste it had was nothing like tikka masala. Butter Chicken: Actually kind of eatable. So greasy though and not much taste. My stomach hurts as well but cannot verify whether that’s from this restaurant. We ended up at a Mexican place by Sainsburys on the same street instead and it was amazing.

been eating here since they had restaurant that is now rustico, so about 15 years. lots of Indians in Hove taste the same . each dish here is completely different and flavoursome and when it says hot and spicy it's got a kick! my family share prawn piri starter lamb Naga chingri Morris chicken tikka masala plain and garlic naan. under 40 bucks delivered using their app. Marvellous!

Had another very good take out from this establishment. Food is usually great quality and tasty and always well priced with good sized portions.

My cure for Covid lockdown misery- a takeaway delivered from Brighton CurryLeaf. The food is excellent ( great vegetarion options- authentically cooked ); service impressive. Delvery was really quick, and polite I am afraid this is my Friday night treat - and look forward so much to it!

We are so pleased to have come across Curry Leaf takeaway, the Wednesday feast is marvellous value with full size portions and lots off choice. It's great that they include salad and onions too. I think Curry leaf is the real thing, since Hove's Biriani House took a turn for the worse a few years back, we've been looking for the real taste of India. Their phone app, however, makes ordering hard, it's very slow, it requires a different registration (log in) to the website (one has username = email, the other has phone number.) Plus when trying to order the Wednesday Feast, the feast options do not come up, stick to the website and you'll be fine.

After being a regular customer for 18.mths and leaving a number of positive reviews, i am since disgusted by their appalling customer service. The previous delivery driver always delivered to my gate successfully. Last fri, the new driver makes no attempt to deliver to the gate or ring the intercom of my flat. He instead leaves the order under a bucket on the nearby main road to go cold. The order sits for 25 mins under the bucket before i am informed by the takeaway (after my 3rd call and 90 mins wait) that my flat is ' really difficult to find'. They then proceed to lie advising that the order will be refunded back to my card..no refund provided after 6 days... and then argues with me that it is somehow my fault.. and that i should have walked to their curry house to return it - if i wanted a refund. Incompotence at its finest... having since visited Spice Tandoori.. i ve realised just how average Curry leafs food is ... and how undeniably contemptuous they are. Worth avoiding...there are lots of far more professional curry houses in Hove.

Im a regular and enjoy their phalls.. authentic phall, and not overloaded with excess sugar and salt. Thanks again guys. A (Sackville rd)

Our meal was delivered 50 minutes early and this happened the previous time too. The person delivering was not interested or bothered and we didnt send it back due to the current circumstances. Very disappointed with the meal too on this occasion and also with the service especially in the current circumstances Our order no was 8001796

Use this several times a year and never yet been disappointed until this week. Most of the food was fine and delivered quickly however both mixed kebab starters were cremated and not their usual succulent selves. What happened guys I really don't like eating charcoal? I think the photo attached clearly illustrates my dissatisfaction.

When I placed my order I asked for it to be delivered at 7.15pm when I had paid for it the delivery time was changed not by myself to 7.45 pm and the delivery still didn't turn up till 8.16pm not happy with the service don't think I will be using it again

The Food here is ALWAYS top quality and consistent in taste. The flavouring and textures are absolutely LUSH! seriously, it’s hard to find any take away that delivers this sort of quality all the time, it looks and tastes super fresh and cooked with experience and care. well done guys, don’t change! . it’s become a weekly family ritual to order here.

Food was lovely but they missed off the naan bread and it arrived 30 minutes later than the delivery time which was already an hour and twenty minutes after we ordered it

This is round the corner from our flat and we have ordered food on multiple occasions and have never been disappointed. Bhuna prawn on puree is first class (this is a dish that can really vary in quality but Curry Leaf’s is spot on). Their chicken shahi now Abu is rich spicy and densely delicious. Great value too

by far the best indian takeaway i've had the pleasure of eating from. having worked in an award winning bengali restaurant for 2 years in my youth i'm very picky with indian food. this place ticked all the boxes, fantastic

Had many take outs over the years. Food always arrives very hot and tasty. Myself and partner who is pakistani rate the curries. Never been disappointed

Great takeaways any day of the week but the Wednesday evening banquet is what I always plum for, any starter any main, any nan or rice and any side dish all for £12. We normally get 2 of these, both with nan's and do our own rice, easily provides enough for a family of 4 adults and the food is always hot, delivered within 25 minutes and of a very good standard.

Used this place loads of times but generally go for a Wednesday when they do a banquet of any starter, any main, any side and any rice or bread for around £12. Food always well presented, well cooked and tasty and I've never had cause to complain. It is only a takeaway but a fine one at that and prices are very reasonable.

It was recommended to us the but chicken was so chewy and dry on both our chicken dinners it was inedible. Will not go here again.

I asked for no coriander or parsley on anything and the lamb tikka starter had it on. Both the lamb tikka starter and chicken pakora were not partially hot. The chips were soggy and seemed undercooked and had black bits in them-like the oil is used for a lot of other dishes. The korma tasted Kayla of coconut and had the texture of it. The naan was nice thou. I had to wait over an hour for delivery and then they forgot the coke to go with it which took another 15 mins to arrive. I have had better meals from a low cost supermarket and will purchase from them next time.

a little too heavy on the onions in the curry - especially the vegetable one. other than that, all good.

Food was early which was great!! High quality food the chicken looked and tasted fresh which Is always a struggle to find! Bombay was tasty and loved how you get to choose the hotness! Also received a free popadom!

I had the medium hot vegetable rogan josh and it was absolutely delicious!!!

We ordered chicken damask and another chicken dish can’t remember name, but they both looked the same and both lacked any depth just quite stodgy.

Popdums were broken (understandable when delivering) but the broken bits weren't in the bag, which I guess means they were broken before and meant there were some missing bits. This felt like a bit of a rip off particularly for the already small spicy ones - 60p each but not all there. Onion bhaji was very greasy.

The Best Value around. Highly recommended and they will alter ingredients to make it just as you want it. Perfect.

So basically ordered chicken rogan collected as didn't want long wait sat night & collected gave me lamb & the curry lid wasn't on correctly so made more mess than wanted seeing as I wasn't feeling great hence not cooking .

My heart sunk when I tasted the saag bhaji. Further with the brinjal bhaji which was literally huge pieces of fried aubergine with warm tomato pure over the top. The quality of the chicken was of the kind found in a Greggs sandwich, textureless and without favour. There was no love in the food and is the least authentic Indian food I have ever eaten. The containers are sitting on the worktop uneaten.

Awful Awful service, almost 45 mins late on the delivery and food was okay. Called up after 30mins lapsed and the man at the restaurant merely said "it'll be there in 5mins", it took another 15mins.

I had to leave rating for restaurant service although I ordered through just eat and had no direct contact with the restaurant. I feel it would have been unfair to give low rating though.

Sharp bone in my curry cut my mouth very upset order incomplete missing poppadoms and dip next time I order I will ask for my extra poppadoms as for the bone I can forgive once luckily for you

Food was half hour late, cold, soggy and the bag swimming with grease. We couldn't eat it. The resturant asked what I wanted them to do about it after huffing and not even listening to what I was saying. He offered me 25% off next time I order because he will remember me if I ask for Ali when I phone. Awful customer service for somewhere thats usually pretty good for their food

This is our staple Indian takeaway and never fails to disappoint. Flavourful dishes and excellent portion sizes always make for a great experience. Service is always good and the delivery guys are more often on time than late and pleasant to deal with.

Much quicker delivery than usual, and food was tasty as usual. Not as greasy as many other indian takeaways.

Took over an hour. Didn't bring the drinks I paid for. Curry tasted super sweet, like just weird for a curry. Defo won't order from them again.

First time we ordered the food was perfect, no oil or grease - it sold it to the younger, grm mad members of the family. But the second meal was nowhere near the quality, there was a lot of oil and it was also luke warm. A shame. We thought we had found a gem

Food arrived hot. Large portions. Madras just right heat. Chicken chat in a lovely rich sauce. The chicken pakora's were fantastic with well seasoned batter that just coated the chicken. Tandoori King prawns were huge and tasty. Appreciate that they took on board request for no added onions In the dishes. Would definitely order again. Thank you for a great meal.
