Excellent food delivered fresh and hot, including the popadoms! Driver was excellent, food delicious. Bhajis were crisp, mains hot and tasty, great take away experience

Just had a delivery from here, 10 mins ago. Food freezing cold and tasteless, I only live two mins away and it was freezing. First and last time.

Everything was just white! Recently moved to the area and tried this place as it's local to my house. Walked in and the entire set up looks like it was rushed. Order food at your own peril.

Food was awful. 3 lamb chops were burnt, black and completely dry. "Wings of fire" was basically some wings thrown into a bland curry sauce. No heat or flavour. Deshi salad described as a mixed salad with chillies was basically a box of iceberg lettuce. It was dreadful and a complete waste of money.

2 out of 5, this was my first and last order from the takeaway. I ordered at 7:30, was advised it would be here by 8:40 and it arrived 2hrs after ordering at 9:40pm 🤷🏻‍♀️, by the time I served it up it was closer to 10pm! i would not have ordered if I knew it would take this long, who want to sit down at 10pm for there evening meal. The curry was nice, not as good as my local one, but that's closed on a Monday. Just need to dot delivery out. But hey I won't be ordering again.

Very disappointed, ordered meal for myself for mothers day, rice seemed old not hot and fluffy quite dry can cold just seemed like it was yesterdays, butter chicken, sauce was nice enough, but chicken was crap not chunks just slices never had chicken from an Indian cooked like that very sad and wont be going back sorry

Ordered a chicken curry . They have used cheap chicken strips already cooked from Tesco . Avoid this place cheap and nasty piss takers

First time we tried this takeaway. Absolutely delicious. Food arrived in good time and piping hot. And a pleasant surprise to get complementary poppadoms and chutneys. We tried the chicken shadwaler and Goan ki chicken. The meat was lovely, and very generous portions. And both dishes were just awesome tasty. Loads left over for tomorrow. Definitely going back.

Food was tasty and delivered early and hot. Good mix of dishes. We have had the set meals and individual and Enjoyed over time too.

Our meal was excellent. I had the lamb samba and it was delicious. Everything hot, it was perfect and very reasonably priced.

The food (mixed kebab and chicken tikka) starters were inedible . The meat was hard and dry disgusting My son has food poisoning today I’ve a good mind to sue Stay away from here!

Ordered 2 thali meals and was underwhelmed by the whole thing. Starters were dry and way overcooked. Main dishes were all sauce with hardly any meat in, and bland, bland, bland. My other half makes a better curry! Not worth the money, plenty better curry outlets in Southport. First and last time for us I'm afraid.

Large food order , items missing, 3 different yogurt dishes all tasted the same bland. When plated up the amount of water on the plate was more than the sauce , again bland , no spices in a choice of 4 mains . Onion bajees , small pieces of onion soaked in grease, again bland. We haven't had a meal from here in a while and have vowed not to return. What a total waste of money. The only item we enjoyed was a plain naan bread.

Previously a regular customer I was happy it had reopened but wasnt sure it it had been taken over. Food arrived 10 mins early and was hot. Left in my porch as planned and gave a thumbs up from the car. Food was delicious and because we cant eat out we ate in our home restaurant. Will definitely order again.

Ordered via Just Eat at 1915hrs, delivery due at 2025 via the app. At 2050 I rang to ask where are food was and told that it would be another 20 minutes. Asked why we had been told the time of delivery was 2025hrs and reply was that they were busy. Finally arrived at 2130. Food is lovely but by the time it arrived it was too late to enjoy. This is the second time they have let us down. On a previous they brought the food late and it was not our order! so time to find a new curry restaurant.

This is my local curry house, with free delivery. I've been using this curry house for years and have never had a bad meal yet. I would definitely recommend it.

The lamb chops were cremated, the currys tasted of nothing, and the naan breads were cold and tasted of nothing. But it was on time, and the onion bahjis were alright. Won't be ordering from them again.

As usual, the food we got this evening was delicious. It was delivered with 15 minutes to spare. The portion sizes are generous and there was no problem with customising dishes for us (extra garlic for him, no coriander for me). We've never had a bad meal from this takeaway.

We have used the take away service for several years. Today we ordered our favourite meals - lamb hydrabadi and beef lazees from the new owners. O dear. At best it was lamb bolgnese and beef stew. The beef itself was OK but the lamb was tough when usually it falls apart. All the layered complex Indian spices we were used to simply weren't there. So disappointed. Time to look for a new take away

Our food was first estimated at 20:30 which was reasonable for a Saturday night as we ordered at 19:51 , i then clicked on my order isn’t here yet and requested text for when it would arrive, received a message back through just eat telling us be delivered 21:05pm I then called the takeaway 21:11 pm to ask how long I was told 10 minutes, I then called again 21:31 to be told driver is out with it received call 21:41 asking where we live finally receive at 21:45 ,1 hour 54 min later, still charged full price, food luke warm, ruined night, hangry Children costing £35.90, should be truthful on length time it takes .

I was told the takeaway was under new management, I always like to believe the best in places but I had the chicken korma and it was so bland! The naan bread was ok but could have been better! Over all ok but I get korma for the sweet flavourful taste and it just didn’t deliver.

They forgot the lime pickle. The curry was quite disgusting

Living in stoke on Trent there are lots of Indian take aways and restaurants, what a pleasure to visit Southport for a few days, the meal we have had was excellent, certainly as good or even better than we have had at home. Superb.

Food was awful. Yoghurt sauce watered down, mixed grill consisted of about 4 small items. Korma sauce was watery, and barely any cheese on my chips. Won't be ordering again

They got my order completely wrong serving a supposedly Madras sauce that was completely tasteless and a Bhuna sauce that would have melted the cutlery, even though we asked for a mild version. Overall the food was terrible and our Saturday dinner was ruined. We won’t be going back

am 58 love a good curry but this was very poor from the poppadom to the Main course the poppadom didn’t even taste like a poppadom the main course was very bland not much meat and the sauce was terrible would never order from there again half was wasted not worth the money this is the first time i have ever left a bad comment 😕

Usual Indian wasn’t taking orders so ordered with curry house for the first time. Food was bland- so disappointed as was really looking forward to it. Bhuna had no flavour, husband’s samba was hot but not tasty- no depth of flavour just hot. Sides, rice etc were fine.

Food is usually really good from curry house however today the onion bhaji’s were so incredibly greasy you could squeeze them and oil poured out. The rest of the meal was ok however it appears they have different chefs or have changed the menu as quality and taste varies drastically with each order. We had items missing which when I called up they did send more out but this was inconvenient as we were missing starters so had to wait to eat the rest of the meal. Overall ok but wouldn’t rush back anytime soon

Pretty decent. Curry was chilli hot and flavour was good if not my favourite of local offerings. Keema naan was a bit mediocre, having the small amount of stuffing collected in one quarter and being generally a bit thin.

Asked for the food to be delivered ASAP & it was delivered earlier than estimated time. All food we ordered was delicious & hot. Great service.

We’ve been using the curry house for over 10 years but the last 2 orders we’ve had have been extremely disappointing! Cold, wrong items and not tasting like it used to.

Great curry and naan but the chips were soggy and the bag everything came in smelled really strongly of cigarettes...surely delivery drivers aren't permitted to smoke whilst they have people's meals in their vehicle?!

Ordered food for 7pm, turned up at 6.10pm. Informed the delivery driver who looked down at receipt and said oh yeah, it’s only 6.10pm, I can’t take it back you’ll have to have it and then stormed off. Very unprofessional. Rung the restaurant to advise and they did not even offer to send it out at correct time. Food sat cold and went in bin as me and partner were still getting kids to bed which is why we asked for it at 7pm. Would not order again, at the fear of a negative review they tried to offer us 25 percent off next order, no refund for food we couldn’t eat/ will be contacting just eat and demanding a refund for food in the bin, and I suggest you train your staff and delivery people better. Customer service is appalling. Avoid..... we were loyal customers and were treated like dirt. Will not be recommending to anyone we know.

We visited the curry house as we had heard really good reviews about it.We had the meat tali and it was so good we had it again the following week with my daughter.All meals were good and tasty and were hot.Very nice polite staff

Takeaway ordered on New Years Eve , they wrote down the wrong address , so by the time the food arrived , it was cold. The food itself was hugely disappointing , and a couple of items were missing. The bill for two people came to over £40, so adding insult to injury.

Just moved to Southport. I was disappointed with this takeaway. The only positives I can put in this review - my order was early (on hindsight maybe too early and more time should have been spent on the dish) & the delivery man was friendly. The sauce of the Chicken Tikka Masala was thin & watery. The rice was oily. The poppadoms were greasy and over cooked. This is the first & last time I will order from the Curry House Takeaway. I have had the same dish elsewhere (Tamworth near Birmingham) & it was cooked perfectly, a little cheaper & there were sauces for the poppadoms - yellow & onion.

I always have a great experience. the man who delivers the food is a delight and the food is always so amazing. highly recommend!!!!

Sooo late with some food unavailable, ...basically dreadfull main courses. It was just overcooked tortured and unpleasant. The fish courses were inedible and tasted like saw dust. We ended up putting 90% in the bin. Definitely not what we were expecting. Poor for £70 quid. We ended up ordering another takeaway from another food delivery service . What a shame ... we have had a reasonable service previously. However, we won’t be ordering again.

Food was lovely as always but i find the guy that delivered very rude. Not once has this happened but 3 times now, hes extremely reluctant to give out change and makes u wait a good 5 mins b4 giving u change. Tonight he was moaning about how hes not been given any tips and was extremely rude to me as he was leaving. NOTE TO CUSTOMERS PAY BY CARD TO SAVE URSELF WAITING AROUND FOR YOUR CHANGE.

Turned up on time but food wasn't great. Pretty cold and fairly average.

Good for a week night and not these dishes for special occasions. The curries were good but closer to average. The jalfreizi was hot as supposed but the rest of spice were not balanced. The saga paneer had a sweet creamy vibe which isn't what it should be. Other than this the meat and paneer was cooked perfectly. Flavours were my only comment.

Half portion of rice, luke warm food but worst of all was the naan. It was so hard you couldn't rip it up or chew it.

usually love this place but this is the second time I have received the wrong order. first time I received chicken tikka instead of chicken and I don’t like the taste. second time I received meat samosas instead of vege! good job I’m not a vegetarian!
