Food had no salt and did not tasted anything like a veg biryani. It was more like veg pulav

Good food delivered in really good time. Only issue is one of the dishes I ordered and paid for lamb tikka mughli but mistakenly got chicken tikka mughli instead.

Placed an order of chicken biriani with veg curry sauce.it was shockingly tasteless no flavour or hint of spice

Esta es nuestra comida para llevar de la India. He usado otros pero nada se compara, solo usaré el curry hoose ahora y nunca decepciona. Somos clientes habituales y el personal también es encantador y nos recuerdan y saben nuestro pedido de memoria. No irá a ninguna otra parte.

the food could not be eaten it was so badly cooked. we ordered massala and did not get that. we received a tomato based sauce that was so bitter. I did not know it was possible to burn poppadoms so badly that they crumbled when we picked them up. the rice was cooked with too much water. first order we had from here was amazing,the second time we put it down to everyone can have a bad day this was the last time I'll order unfortunately. it's much better when you eat in than take away

One star for fresh poppadum and lime pickle on the pickle tray. Everything else was almost inedible - spicy onions (no cucumber, coriander etc) and ‘mango’ chutney are a toxic red with food colouring and taste of artificial sweetener. The pilau rice has no aromatics - seems like plain rice with yet more food colouring added. The curry? I ordered Joypuri because of the cashew nuts, not that I have been able to eat much I have found 4, onions are rock hard and not even cut up properly, the chicken has brown areas - I can’t determine if it is because it was cut close to the bone or not fresh - it doesn’t seem it. This curry doesn’t come with sauce - it comes with grease/oil. Absolute waste of nearly £20

Delivery fine, though got chapattis rather than paratha. Food generally very tasty though saag bhaji was virtually inedible dye to over cooked garlic, made it very bitter.

La mejor casa Curry en las tierras altas. Pedí 4 platos y todos eran excelentes. Sabores delicados y sutiles, enormes trozos de pollo bien cocinado / cocido. el arroz pilau estaba manchado también. Disfruté mucho de la comida, así como cualquiera que he tenido durante muchos años, lugar muy limpio muy amable y servicio rápido también.

Not sure what has happened to the Curry Hoose, our foood was bland and very dry. Even the Naan's were horrible and dry. Really suprised as this place was our go to for a curry, not anymore. Extremely disappointed, waste of money.

Having eaten Indian food at many places in the world, this little Takeaway place is a real stand out. I had marked it before our trip, knowing that we would be a few miles away. After a long day of sightseeing, we decided to pick some up, instead of going to one of the sitdown restaurants in Inverness, and head back to our B&B. We opted for vegetable, samosas, lamb, vindaloo, saag bahii (spinach with potatoes, garlic naan, and rice. When we ordered the vindaloo, the gentleman assisting us at the counter raised desired brows, and said, are you sure, sir? I asked if it was hot and he said very that’s why I was making sure. I told him that if we weren’t sweating, it wasn’t hot enough. He got a good chuckle and placed the order. Our order was ready very quickly, 10 to 15 minutes. And we were totally happy with the results. The vindaloo was blisteringly hot, but the saffron rice tempered it nicely. They included a small salad with a sweet curry yogurt dressing that balanced things nicely. We had not had the spinach and potato dish before, but it was a delight as well. The samosas were a little smaller than we used to, but had a marvelous flavor. So taking nothing away there as they gave us four of them. The garlic naan was on par with the rest of the meal, and very satisfying. I really, honestly wasn’t paying much attention to the prices as we ordered, and was happily surprised when the bill only came to 30 pounds 80. All in all, a superior Takeaway, dinner. These are the type of places we look for even when we’re at home and this one would be a regular if we lived in the area.

This is probably the best Indian food takeaway (unfortunately no dine in option) in Inverness. Very tasty food prepared quickly by friendly staff. Food is more authentic and not a bland as many others in Scotland.

Unfortunately I put the wrong address on my order and when I noticed I could not get in touch or change the address, I phoned the restaurant direct and they were very nice but unable to help. The Just Eat driver did not return to the restaurant with my food or phone me to find out where I was and I can not get a refund, very dishonest driver and not good customer service, I will not be using Just Eat again. The restaurant and food itself is amazing Just Eat however is not

Don’t order off just eat app as drivers don’t deliver the food. I’ve had to place order again but go direct to curry house. Food is excellent but do not use “Just Eat”

We have ordered takeaway from this establishment on several occasions and never fails to disappoint. Collection from the store itself is quick and convenient, and delivery is good as well despite some occasions where the delivery time was significantly longer than mentioned and some items had became missing from the order. Food in general is satisfactory. The Chicken Pakora starter is flavourful and warm, Poppadoms are fresh and crisp, Rice is delicate and smooth and goes well with a seasoning of salt, and some of the Chicken and Curry Mains have the correct amount of spice and balance. A decent good value Indian Takeaway for the Culloden area.

Starters were fine. Chicken biryani was awful. Very dry, no taste! Very little sauce!! Phoned and complained. Lady not very helpful at all. Went in bin! Waste of money. Will not return! Such a shame as we are regular customers!!

The best Indian food for miles!

Ordered last night and they delivered to wrong address. The person that received the order kept it. On calling take away they were not interested and took payment from my account. Eventually I contacted someone from just eat and got full refund. I consider this level of service shocking. I have used just eat a lot in the past but the lack of customer service is tantamount to theft. Ruined my evening.

Food was very bad. Chicken biriyani is overpriced. Also had only three small chicken pieces mixed with just rice. No salt or spices at all. Mushroom rice had only two pieces of mushrooms. The same rice has been used for both dishes. Just the mushrooms and chicken pieces were different. No salt at all. Food was bland and tasted very bad. Really disappointed.

I'm very surprised how well rated this place is (4.5 at time of review), given the quality of food we received. I could excuse the late delivery (an hour past the estimate) but there is no excuse for the amount of oil in each of our dishes. See the attached photo - meat was swimming in it (removed to better show). It's possible this isn't representative of their usual quality but it has certainly put me off ever ordering here again.

Was really looking forward to trying this due to the great reviews, seems like they forgot to add any spice to the main dish which was supposed to be medium-spicy but had very little flavour and zero spice. Would try again but maybe not the jaipur.

Delivery was very late. Was given an estimate of time at the point of purchase but this kept changing and food was over a hour late. It was cold and not enjoyable. Disappointed as was looking forward to it.

Decent quality, nice and fresh ingredients, well packaged and arrived quickly for a Saturday evening. Will use again.

My husband and I ordered a Lamb Madras and Chicken Tikka Saag and we both agree these were the best curries we’ve had in a very long time. We had our meals delivered to our Camper Van without any problems!

I used to love this Indian but it’s gone down hill. Used to be fresh and nice. The sauce is always thin now when we order.. it’s like it’s been frozen and reheated can’t afford £30/40 on a takeaway when it’s not worth it

Stay away from the biryani...underseasoned, chicken very dry and tough...curry sauce that went with it, you would be hard pushed to tell it was Indian at all... expensive too.

Can’t fault delivery. Always choose the curry Hoose but tonight off the three dishes ordered. Only one was up to scratch. Other two. Watery tasteless sauce king prawns overcooked and small and the chicken dry in the other. Very disappointed as this was a special meal for our dinner tonight 😡

We stayed at the Ardtower campsite, phoned and asked if they deliver, yes... just use the website. We had a large order and once we had made our selection, I selected ASAP as the next available time.... Stuck. A note with our campsite and mobile number..40 minutes later... food was on the table. Excellent service and food was great as well. Highly recommended

Was told 25mins for delivery but was over an hour late. To which the food was wasted as was unable to cancel order and had to make kids alternative food as had no idea when it would arrive and they were already in bed when it finally arrived.

First time ordering from Curry Hoose, I got the Naga, it was really tasty! And I liked the bigger container with spiced onions, they're always the favourite part of the pickle tray. I'll definitely order again.

I love their curries, they're not as oily as other places. Nan bread is always very good. Staff are always very nice and welcoming.

Ordered many times for collection. This time ordered for delivery. 20 mins past delivery time. No phone call to advise delay. When calling no apology - literally couldn't care less. Off the the Raj from now on!

Called mad e a £60 order at 7 pm called 8.30pm asked about the order to be told driver was on way at 9.10 pm we called back to be told that they had rang our phone three times and the driver rang twice and rang buzzer twice we can see the road from our window no cars came up. Our call log shows only put calls to the restaurant and our buzzer works fine the lady was very rude. Wouldn't bother. Not very nice people

Just an honest review. Second time I have ordered in three months or so. First time was great. I won't be ordering again. Staff were polite and friendly on the phone, as was the lovely driver who delivered to our door exactly on time as pre agreed. Couldn't fault the staff or the service. The food however, whilst seemingly well cooked and presented was of poor quality, sauces were watery and the food (with the exception of the lovely naan bread ) was simply tasteless. I've tried to pick up on the good points here, because there are some, but the only asset a restaurant really has is it's food, and unfortunately on this occasion, the food was found badly wanting. Anniversary take away in excess of £50 ...extremely disappointing.

The food was well seasoned, the saag aloo especially. The coconut rice was nice and not too sweet but the butter chicken definitely tasted like pure sugar.

Sorry to say our meal was not up to the usual standard tonight. Jaipur chicken was very bland, onion bhajis seem to have shrunk. Disappointed to say not worth the price rise.

Lovely food, good service and halal food

This is my local indian take away. Been going for years and normally collect. Due to current circumstances we had home delivery. This is the only second time we have had delivery and second time order was incomplete. Food was also not up to usual high standard, bland tonight.Very disappointed this time. It was also delivered an hour before it was due. Third time home delivery ( been a gap, wonder why ) and guess what!? Wrong order, missing rice and Nans!! 1 star and no appollogy. Booo

Quite possibly the best I've ever had. Lovely friendly staff, food prepared with care and delivered quickly. Tandoori Lamb Tikka was devine and the previous Kormas, Masallah and Poori's have been great.

I always order from the curry hoose for an Indian takeaway. I ordered Korma for myself and my son.. The chicken was tough and chewy, not tender atall. I did telephone the takeaway and explained that I normally go there and the chicken was not as it normally was on previous occasions. The person on the telephone told me that it was the same chicken that they always use. There was no attempt to make any amends or to even accept that I felt the chicken was not of the same standard as I had had on previous occasions. Maybe it was overcooked, who knows, but I will not be returning to the Curry Hoose again in the future.

Amazing food, best Indian in Inverness.

Always good - we don't get Indian food anywhere else. Good veggie curries, I'm gradually trying them all! I would knock off a half star for the plastic boxes if I could - surely there are environmentally friendly alternatives. A rice was missing tonight but I'm sure they'll sort that out another time. Very handy to collect at the door just now, after ordering online.

Thought I would give this one a shot as my usual takeaway was engaged when I called. I wish I had waited. £40 for two meals which would have been acceptable if it wasn't frozen veg these used. Vegetable biryinani was the most tasteless soggy mess. Did message them directly but they have not replied. Peshwari nann was as dry as a bone literally a miniscule amout of coconut. If you want a decent india take away I recomond the Wee Dehli.

The Curry House has ample parking outside, takeaway only. Good variety, but very expensive. We placed an order over £49 no free poppadoms or pickles. As standard where I originate from.

Had curries delivered. Very punctual delivery at time requested. Curries tasty, well cooked, hot, and decent portions. The one very poor thing was a Peshwari naan - dry, not the biggest, a tiny amount of coconut inside it. Not a single sultana or almond or any sweet flavour as advertised on menu.

Without doubt the absolute WORST Indian I have ever had. If the meal we received was an accurate reflection of the standard of their food, i can only surmise they must have a lot of 'friend's' writing these reviews. Honestly, more went in the bin than was eaten. One word,,,, disgusting.

I had a chicken madras which was very nice great flavour. My wife had korma and thought the same.

Both our plates were swimming in water .....chicken korma and chicken masala obviously the chicken was previously frozen !!!!!! Both meals were cold and mushroom pilau was oily . Will bever use again as this was the second time our meal was disgusting.
