On walking holiday to the Peaks, first night, wanted early, quick curry - all boxes ticked. Small niggle - please put “bring own alcohol” further up home page on website. I didn’t scroll down far enough to notice it. When we arrived, DH had then to whizz off to local Spar for bott Merlot & Cobra! All then ok though. Food brilliant - v tasty - service superb (thank you Pap!). If we lived locally, I’m sure we’d be regulars (with BYO wine!)

Rajas

24/01/2019: We hadn’t had an Indian meal for years but we were a bit sick of the usual pub choices while spending a couple of nights in Bakewell recently, so opted for Rajas. Great choice - the menu was very extensive but we opted for a vegetarian night and enjoyed a couple of very spicy vegetable samosas to start and then shared two delicious vegetable curries. Really worth trying Rajas if you’re ever in Bakewell
26/12/2018: While the service was great, the food wasn’t particularly. Mine was ok but my husband ordered the chicken tandoori which he said was very dry.

Maazi Indian Restaurant

23/02/2019: This was another excellent meal at one of our favourite Indian restaurants around. This time we went for their "tapas" selection - basically a choice of 4 or more starters to share, then 4 or more small bowls of main course dishes. That's the way we prefer to eat anyway and allows us to taste several of our favourites in the same meal. Same top quality, the usual really attentive and friendly service with food brought to the table very promptly, and a nice setting. We'll keep coming back....
26/02/2019: This was my second sit down visit to Maazi and I've also had two takeaways as we've recently bought a holiday home at nearby Ladybower. I can't fault the experience from the pleasant welcome on arrival, the friendly and attentive service and, of course, the fantastic food.
