Curnow's Cafe in Plymouth

Always an absolutely banging breaky, never too greasy always cooked well and good ingredients. Definitely one of my go to breakfast places. Highly recommended for good value grub

Good, wholesome, fresh tasty grub! This is the proper job, it hits the spot. The staff are helpful and friendly a family vibe. The premises are clean and organised. There's a Tele on the wall, I like that!

Outstanding! Beautifully presented and more importantly very delicious!! Whats a big bonus for me is its not a greasy breakfast either and they make a cracking cuppa. Lovely family that run it and they are accomodating if you want to change anything. Best one in Plymouth 👏

We've tried many cafés in Plymouth for breakfast and Curnows Café is by far the most outstanding. It's run by a lovely family, the food is excellent every time, fast friendly service and the best value for money. We would recommend trying it out and find out for yourselves. What an amazing place. Curnow's is the best breakfast I've had. It's a friendly, family run cafe and they bend over backwards to help you. I can't recommend it highly enough. Great prices too.

Curnow's cafe tucked in behind embankment Rd,reopened under new management recently,John and Suzette,had breakfast with cuppa and toast all in £4:25, excellent value,lovely bacon, sausage,a varied menu will try the homemade chilli next time, Excellent service by daughter San, Worth a visit.

Since its been taken over and got its 5 rating back we tried it out, so glad we did! Lovely breakfast and decent selection of food that cater for all people. Very friendly place would definitely go back.

I've been meeting my brother and sister here for the last couple of years every Friday morning, sometimes it's the only time we catch up. The owner, Trevor, is a real character and he will do anything for you that isn't on the menu if he has the ingredients. I'm a vegetarian and I can highly recommend his plate of fried (in rapeseed) potatoes and beans., Sounds simple, tastes great. I don't know how he cooks them tater's but boy they are crispy and tasty when they land. Sometimes find a car park slot is hard but normally the side streets always provide and their aren't too many double yellows to make that too hard but park "nicely" as people are already squeezed for space around here. All in all, a great breakfast and top service.

I really can't fault this place although some diners may find it a bit grubby. I had a substantial (I nearly couldn't finish it and I've got a very healthy appetite!), good quality and well-prepared roast pork lunch and a mug of tea for £6.20. Worth a stroll out of Plymouth City Centre for. Now, if Bristol Rovers can do the business against Plymouth Argyle later my day will be complete.

Good food. Good staff. However the boss was extremely rude to other customers, blaming them for orders he had messed up himself! What happened to "the customer is always right"? He treats staff appallingly. The poor girls are running round doing everything while he stands by the till counting his money. Friendly atmosphere apart from the old perverts making inappropriate and vulgar remarks to the girls working.

I have used this Cafe for many years the owners make you feel. Very welcome and the food is very good for the prices

Best working mans cafe around!! Been using this place for years and it gives consistent good value honest food! The weekend roasts are legendary!! The place is clean and tidy and the staff are friendly. It's a no frills place and all the better for it.

Good breakfast value for money and is on the table within minutes, the girls that work are marvalous and very welcoming if only the man that works there is gone and he lets the girls get on with it as he looks like he works in a slaughter house and has also got my order wrong a few times after he has wrote it down also money mad as he's in the till all the time could be a cracking cafe!

Less than pleasant, processed sausages, tined mushrooms and not very nice black pud. Dirty cutlery On a plus the staff were friendly. Crap coffee and not inc in breakfast

We had a great late breakfast at Curnow's cafe. The food is plentiful and great value and the staff are friendly.

An all day breakfast and other predictable simple workman's cafe food. Polite efficient fairly priced. Used to be be more fun.
